41  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: June 30, 2014, 01:15:30 AM

i'm sorry, this seems sketchy as hell. It's not so hard to simply fake a hashing page.

has anyone actually reviewed those documents wrt change in terms?

did anyoen independently confirm that lrm purchased, ordered and received those 150 th from bitfury or buzzdave?

has he produced any kind of financial documents?

forget confirming hashrate, i think it's important that you contract holders confirm LRM.

So, do you hold any contracts?

It's interesting that the loudest complaints tend to come from those with no standing.

I'm not getting the bonuses. Please instruct. Thanks. Btcminer627.

As I mentioned in PM, you need to either email labrat@labratmining.com and request that your existing contracts be converted to the new April 25th contract, or send me a signed message (signed with your LRM Bitcoin address) indicating that request, and I will forward it to Lab_Rat.

Any news LabRat about BFL stuff ?

I see some guys have already Cloud Monarch hashing.

Nope, not yet.  I'm really hoping for the best, but expecting the worst...

Hey, it's Saturday!

Is the bonus getting sent separately because I think I only got the basic this week?

*grnbrg lols a bit. Math is hard.

I've confirmed there are some issues with the payouts for some contract holders, and reported them to Zach. Once he's done cursing Excel, he will send out correcting transactions.  I don't think anyone was overpaid this time, so it should be an easy fix. But don't quote me on that.   Smiley

BFL_Josh has indicated that their Cloud mining operation should be going live today/tomorrow???

"Right now, the plan is to allocate 600 GH/s to each user for each card ordered. If you ordered 1 card, you'll get 600 GH/s, if you ordered 2 cards, 1.2 TH/s, etc... "

Are we in the queue to start hashing once you have pointed at the right pool???

Zach says he's been pestering BFL on this, but no substantial info yet.  Business as usual for BFL. :/

It is going to take at least another two weeks!

I was thinking it, but wasn't going to say it.  This time, anyway.  Cheesy

I offered this:
When a block is found, send the winning nonce to other large miners and see if one doesn't return it.

* Apparently this can be difficult to do with Stratum.
* If you wait before broadcasting the winning block, another pool may publish first.
* If you publish the block and verify the suspected miner at the same time, the suspected miner may well see the published block and be able to falsely pass your test.

I'm all for spreading the hashrate as evenly as possible... and I'm also baffled that "withholding winning blocks" is even a thing. Is there a way to defend against that in code?
Directly, no.

What the pool would have to do is send the suspected miner a work unit that is known to produce a block-winning hash and see if they report it.

I've always wondered. do you have the signature in a notepad and just copy paste it in each time?

I type it, every time.  Started doing years ago in an RC forum that didn't do signatures.

The two threads I have been following on this incident continue to be fascinating, but have shown no evidence of being related to ghash.io, despite my initial inflammatory post here.

ghash.io warrants some suspicion for various reasons, but make sure there is proof before breaking out the torches and pitchforks.

Divs are waiting on a payout from BTCGuild.  Once they get a block,  divs should follow shortly after.

I'm the owner of 17JkL94B2ngJg4QQZuiozDQjnxXB6B7yTc and 1Gu8zxRi8cyENV8CQe52D7QEsiZ7ruT73u.

Can you provide cryptographic proof of this, please?

Yes, but just after you tell me why it is necessary.
The basic crypt knowledge tells me do not sign until it is necessary, i don't know why but I obey.

Because your refusal to answer most questions weakens your argument.  And producing a message signed by one or both of the addresses in question costs you nothing, and reveals nothing.  It would simply prove that you do in fact have standing to speak as (or on behalf of) the owner of those addresses.

For all we know, you could be just be a troll with no relation at all to this issue, other than you saw an opportunity to mess with us.  (And if so....  :slow clap:  Well played. :slow clap:)

Brucexie, you must be new here. In bitcointalk you are guilty until proven innocent.

The charges have already been levied along with a good bit of evidence. You have no defense, and have no claim on any more of this community's BTC.

You can't ever please the trolls, but quite a few of us are quite happy to consider evidence.  But we haven't seen anything other than "You can't prove I did something wrong!".  Not a lot to go on against the word of pool operator and community member with a long history of reliability.

Yes you may right.
But I think any one will consider one more time before moving to eligius, after seeing this post.
That's enough.

On the other hand, some will see this as a reason to support Eligius....

For anyone who want to raise his calculater to caclulate how rare this could be happened, I'd like to remind them, do not forget, eligius can efface my block from his own block list and annonced that I mine nothing.

He would have to knowingly withhold a block from his own pool in that case, otherwise it would have been published on the blockchain and eligius' luck rate would have been normal. ~20 expected blocks (500BTC) is slightly more than what he "stole" from you (300BTC). I do not see how it is to WK's advantage to go through all of this just to discredit you.

And he would had had to have planned this in advance -- it would be trivial to find blocks that paid out to Eligius miners that are not in that list.  So either Eligius is attacking you, or you are attacking Eligius.  (And if WK thought that withholding blocks was a good strategy, why would he focus on one user?)

Edit:  Dammit.  I suppose EvilEligius could just assign blocks to another user -- On reflection, there is nothing really to tie the block the finder.
