It's so that I can serve you the testnet binaries. When you use an alt coin, you reveal your IP addresses to all other peers anyways.

Cool, I'm down for some beta teating, I'll pm you. What is your pow?

Reserved for FAQ.

We're looking for a group of beta testers to make sure everything goes smooth. Send me a PM with your IP address.

Very interested in this idea, why do you need our ip address?

i am seeing some funny stuff hear !!! When you get this device in your hand you will be very excited to see the amazing design. I am sure you will get some laughs thinking why didnt i think of that. The first time i seen the magic. i could not stop saying wow wow wow.

Do you have any pictures, specs, hash rates, or proof of any kind, or any estimate of when you will be able to produce this information, or is this just going to drag on until everyone figures out you're blowing smoke?

New Litecoin Mining pool at http://thepiratebay.uk.com/  Grin

Interesting name, thepiratebay will probably sue you for copywrite infringement.

That's the funniest thing I've heard all day Smiley

I'm here for the lolz

Wonder how you get the cow to take a dump in that hole.

It was a really hard process, but the techs found out a way to use rare metals to make it happen.

The China techs have found a truly innovative power source

+1 lol

I like some of your ideas, but I'm failing to see which part of it would mitigate the coinchoose effect?

Thanks for putting this together, really interesting info.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you currently mining? on: June 10, 2013, 12:47:35 AM
I'm mining nothing because I sold all mining gear expecting Avalon ASIC batch 3 to be delivered by now.  Angry

Ouch...  I'm mining litecoin, as I have been for the past 4 months, been a crazy ride. Also point some hashes every now and then at pxc and dgc  Smiley

~4000 PornCoin For sale make me an offer

Good luck with that just got paid 5 ELC to destroy 10,000 of them.

Topic should be renamed to "How to design a user-resistant coin?". Roll Eyes

FYI - YaCoin is CoinChoose resilient.  Guess why?

I think I remember seeing it listed once very shortly and the profitability was like 300% but maybe I was just seeing things.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to design a CoinChoose-resistant coin? on: June 09, 2013, 04:51:32 PM
This is probably a stupid idea, but how about a coin that starts with a decent difficulty, say 5 or 10 and then doesn't have a retarget, just a static difficulty. You would have to keep interest in the coin or it could end up taking a long time to solve blocks and do transactions. Like I said, this is a stupid idea as a currency because there's no way to know how long blocks and transaction times will take. But, as far as not being subject to crazy difficulty swings, a static difficulty would take care of that part of the coinchoose raping.

So then when the network hash rate multiplies by 1000x, you could have (depending on the intended hash rate) blocks each second? Hello orphans

Exactly, like I said, a stupid idea, but one that  takes care of crazy difficulty swings. As others have said, I think people blindly following coinchoose have every right to in a free market. I'll just stick to mining litecoin and bitcoin

Image is to large for 8GB usb key. You need to reduce size of img a little.

Awesome, thanks I'll throw it on a rig tomorrow and let you know what I think.

this device creates more heat than i have ever seen in a mining device. Fire hazard was very real!!!! The cooling system for this device is very radical using rare metals and other elements

Fascinating. A 7970 consumes nearly 300W while the maximum output of a USB port is about 3W, yet somehow your masterful engineers have tamed the laws of thermodynamics and created more heat with 100 times less energy. Why do you waste your time toiling away on inutile scrypt mining projects when you could be solving the ills of the global energy crisis? Just think, with your talents we'll soon be able to plug a TrucoinŽ brand generator into our electrical socket and create enough steam to power a 3GW turbine. We'll never run out of energy again!

Tell me, when you stare at what other people consider fire do you really see golden fairies, butterflies and rainbows?

just a hint the usb does not power the device but whatever you say. Soon you will be trying to order and i will make sure you are not allowed to order seeing how you think i am trolling and wasting time!! good luck buddy

lol.. you win.

you know why i win? because i believe in things like hope and positive thinking. So many people told me that this could not happen. Now people from BFL and AVALON want a proto-type .

I asked the two techs from china if i could give out there name !! So they could take the credit for the design. They said tell everyone Thing 1 and thing 2 built it. Ha ha ha i couldn't not stop laughing. True genius never wants credit. They don't even want that much money. I will be paying for there travel and a much needed vacation.

You're hilarious man, where do you come up with this stuff?
