41  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Altcoins movement?! on: December 12, 2019, 06:14:06 PM
Aba!
42  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: MAY CHANCE BA NA MADEFEAT NG XRP ANG BTC BILANG TOP 1? on: December 12, 2019, 06:03:45 PM
Ang tagal ko na pala hindi nakabalik dito sa lokal. Meron pa pala sa inyo loyalista ng XRP? Meron ako nito noong 2017 pero for trading at short hold purposes. Ang pangit kasi ng feedback sa XRP. Centralized raw. Dapat raw sa stocks and XRP at wala sa mga crypto trading sites.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price to Asuka will be 8700$ November 2020 on: November 26, 2019, 05:08:05 AM
Now it looks like bitcoin is in another dip. It would be hard to assume that it can recover fast enough this year. But we cannot count out bitcoin as it surprised us many times over the years. But if we were to take the trend in a less volatile manner, it will take until mid of next year for bitcoin to strengthen its support, accumulation period and then the breaking of resistance.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you invest 60 BTC? on: October 30, 2019, 02:03:31 PM
Suppose you earned 60BTC by working hard for 5 years and one day you decide now you don't want to work then what would you do with that amount?
How would you invest that amount? What will you do? Hold it dreaming the price will rise? Sell it and invest the fiat? or start a business? or retire? Any ideas?  Tongue

You need to diversify it carefully. If I have that kind of money I will divide it into like this:

Cash savings - daily expenses and for emergency purposes too, you can put some of this fund to time deposits or any form of investments that you can easily withdraw anytime.
Bitcoin - most secured crypto currency, I believe halving can bring its price high enough than its current value.
Altcoins - you need to very extremely careful with your picks here, maybe 3 altcoins in the top 10 listed at coinmarketcap, 1 from top 50 and 1 another promising project that just started or anything outside top 50 you believe has the potential to become another top altcoin.
Real estate - you can purchase house and lot or parcel of land or both.
Fiat investment - you can diversify to bank time deposits, bonds, and other secured form of investments
Business - think about your passion in life and how you can make it profitable

It will be up to you how you can allocate the amount based in your priorities and expertise. Like for example you are good at business then you can put 1 or 2 or even 3 you think you can manage.

45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: October 20, 2019, 04:39:55 AM
Yo, am i the only one betting on those pre-season games?  Grin

I have two singles for today. Good ol' 76ers have their final game at home v Wizards. Ben Simmons will sit this one as well. I don't think they wanna mess with their perfect record (4-0).
Nets are hosting Raptors in Brooklyn, Kyrie will make his debut (if we don't count a minute v Lakers in China). They should be hyped to get this one. They also have a perfect record @ 3-0.

Philadelphia 76ers (-3.5) @ 1.67 1st Half - Asian Handicap

Brooklyn Nets (-0.5) @ 1.80 1st Half - Asian Handicap

edit; Welp, so much for my 6 gm winning streak. WSH 54:44 PHI at the half.

Wizards started the second quarter with a 2-3 zone which caught the Sixers off guard, completely messed up the whole flow of the game for them.

edit2;

TOR 74:53 BKN (28:28 1st Q)

Defending champs look sharp just days before the start of the season. Killing it from 3pt, 14/24!

A rough night for me, 0-2

Better luck next time. I just don't think preseason games would be too serious including their win-loss records let alone first half of their matches. I am not betting on pre-season games even if it is tempting. Everyone is very excited on the start of the regular season. Go Boston! Grin
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A million altcoins on: October 20, 2019, 04:15:02 AM
We have 30k altcoins already? I didn't know that. Maybe not more than 10k is my estimate. But this guy has a point on these projects. Except maybe on some altcoins like ETH, XRP, Stellar and maybe few more. These coins are in the top 10 because they work harder than the rest of the altcoins. 50% attack is such a pain in the ass. We will see in the future which of these coins are still there. I now agree with crowdfunding to be government registered. Heads should be rolling (don't make it literal) when projects fail. Investors should be protected.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty - Pioneering Peer-to-Peer Finance - Official Thread on: October 18, 2019, 05:52:55 AM
A good coin,I still remembered that I sold a good domain name of counterparty in good old times, when XCP is round 10 USD,community are actively building.

Now almost no active developments are going on. Sad

Many coins that were very profitable on us investors last 2017 are now dead, left behind or gasping for breath. But this is the reality as they are all competing to reach the top. Even Bittrex and Poloniex are nearing to its end.
48  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to bypass KYC methods? on: October 11, 2019, 06:44:35 AM
Many times it comes to my mind about submitting fake profiles but I realized that I should just submit my real documents because in the future you might have issues and is needed to resubmit your information documents again which is hard if you are submitting fake profiles. But as much as possible I am not into KYC unless super necessary.

If you want to buy bitcoin then maybe try peer to peer. Then you can send it to exchanges that have high limits even if no verification. In Binance, no verification or level 1 account withdrawal limit is 1 btc daily.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: October 10, 2019, 10:24:52 AM
The odds of 76ers winning the championship increases with this but Simmons must remain a good three point shooter all throughout the whole season.

They have a chance as they are in the East, just like the Raptors which has a great journey to be in the Finals and successfully win in the NBA finals.
It's only the Sixers which the Raptors struggles but that lucky bounce of Leonard changes everything, no Leonard in the east now, and The Greek Freak is very predictable,  so I think they have a chance.

Well, they need to prove that this coming NBA season, they are still a good team although Butler was already out in the team.
Their biggest rival in the East is the Bucks, they may look very predictable last season but I don't think they will still do the same mistake if they will reach in the NBA East finals. Most likely it's gonna be Bucks or Sixers which will occupy the number 1 and 2 spot.

Agreed. There are many casuals lurking here. Simmons alone becoming a three pointer is not an easy task to talk about. If only becoming three point shooter can be done in a single summer then we will have a nearly perfect player in Russell Westbrook.

Bucks will top the East. Philly is a strong second contender in the East.  It is interesting if ever KD becomes 100% and can play in the playoffs. The Celtics are still there too and we will see if their young stars can play better without Irving.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is China ahead of US now in terms of digital adaptation? on: September 28, 2019, 10:42:24 AM
I don't think so. The US is still one of the most advance if not countries in the world. Paypal and other forms of digital transactions work well in the US better than China. When it comes to crypto currencies both countries are hesitant on it but the US is considering it with strict rules thru SEC. China only accepts crypto currencies if their government think it can control it which is too difficult due to decentralization. China can create their own token but blurry and suspicious as being decentralized.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sell bitcoin to buy fiat or altcoin? on: September 06, 2019, 06:15:35 PM
Hold your bitcoins. Why sell it for altcoins when bitcoin now is gaining more dominance in the crypto market? Altcoins continuous to bleed and it is worrying. I am not even bothering anymore to trade altcoins for now. Buy fiat maybe if you want to avoid the volatility on bitcoin.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] The International 2019: Dota 2 World Championship on: August 16, 2019, 03:48:51 PM
But I agree that Mineski seems to be the weakness of TNC. I think it's because that they used to know each others playstyle and Mineski knows how to counter the playstyle of TNC.
For me they are not definitely the weakness of TNC because we all knew that they're way stronger than that. Imagine, they can be able to beat OG but lose to their fellow countrymen; so funny to think, right Grin?. I also watched their game yesterday and as I read down the comments they said TNC intended to lose or in our term it was called "bigay" or "benta". Why they did such thing? No one knows but the most possible reason is to keep Mineski alive and got a higher chance for the Filipinos to win the championship (IMO).

People saying TNC gave that win to Mineski are either ignorants or just plainly casuals. Solid TNC and Mineski fans are always hostile to each other. Rumors is that even their team managements and players are trading trash talks when outside the camera and off the public. But still, there is no point in giving that game. It was just TNCs second game and Mineskis first, so no point that win keeps Mineski alive.
53  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: August 11, 2019, 04:32:57 PM
So Sportsbet is now a partner of Watford FC and is starting to build its reputation with an aggressive marketing. I kind of like this but IMO they still really need to pay its long overdue 6.5 BTC on one of its client winnings. Sad
54  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: August 07, 2019, 03:37:15 PM
I have received this mail from snip
In short, it is selective scamming. The complaints are piling up against HitBTC.

How much longer before HitBTC get shut down by authorities?
You're right. I think it's a new strategy from exchanges. They pretend a security issue on your account to block your funds and to ask you several personal documents.  Undecided It's more hypocritical than suddenly changing the terms and conditions without warnings, but less blatant...

It is less blatant to the unseen eye but for those that have seen this type of scam infest in the crypto community we can spot it a mile away...

They are selective scamming users in ever increasing numbers thus bringing about the end of their scam website closer and sooner

Yes, I also experienced in BTC-Alpha asking too many documents, then rejects it and ask again until you give up. It is quite surprising why still so many people keep using HitBTC despite its many unsolved issues.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about Gambling and e-sports? on: August 06, 2019, 05:16:36 AM
E-Sports is growing very very big at fast pace. Many physical sports were already beaten by E-Sports prize pool especially Dota 2 where year by year it continues to beat its own record. I love E-Sports.😍😍
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and Gold? on: June 23, 2019, 09:48:46 AM
In summary:

1. Gold is currently better as a store of value
2. Bitcoin can be better as a store of value in the future if we reach high liquidity to significantly decrease price volatility
3. Both gold and bitcoin are both great assets, and both has their own pros and cons.
we can see the positive side of gold and bitcoin in daily use. gold is prioritized for storage without any loss and risk, while bitcoin has a loss if prices decline and bitcoin can get profit when experiencing price increases.

Gold price can increase and decrease too the same with bitcoin. The difference is its volatility. Gold can have minimal losses but minimal gains too unlike bitcoin's huge movements.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: June 22, 2019, 11:51:24 AM
This should be a good fight. Might place a small bet on Pacquiao.

A lot of people are placing bets in favor of Pacquiao and I am sure that the gambling sites are very happy. I too would have placed a bet in favor of him, had they offered at least 250 against 100. But the best they got is 210, and considering all the parameters, it is not worth the risk. I was thinking about placing a bet in favor of Thurman, but hasn't decided yet. Most of the sites are offering 170-180, and I think that it is a very good deal. My personal prediction is that Thurman has around 75% chance of an outright win.

How can we sure that a lot of people are betting on Pacman, maybe only those fans would say, but Thurman also has a lot of fans.
We can only based on the odds, here, Thurman is the favorites, so obviously there's no enough money betting on Pacman to change the odds.

Pacman has 100 million+ Filipinos solidly behind him, in addition to tens of millions of global fans. Thurman is a good fighter, but he is not that popular. I am saying that lot of people are betting for Manny, because the betting sites lowered the odds for him from 250-260 in May to 200-210 in June. And this happens when an overwhelming majority of the gamblers bet in favor of the underdog.

I agree that most gamblers worldwide are rooting into Pacman. International odds can be wrong but seldom. We will see. Personally, I like Pacman on a slight edge.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lets be careful on what we are investing on: June 22, 2019, 11:31:06 AM
What you need to be careful in the selection of projects said there were many. But often people do not accurately assess the prospects of the project and lose their money. On the other hand, there is no such thing that all were in profit.
If you ever experience a loss in investing in a project, of course in the future, don't ever experience the same thing again. Never rush or follow your friends to invest in the suggested project. It's better to privately analyze for profitable investments.

First thing. Never rushed on things. Opportunities are everywhere. It depends on your readiness and willingness. This is one of the most important learnings I had on investing.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 22, 2019, 03:54:12 AM
if a rich club can't win a league or any other championship I think it's because of a problem in the club management section, in other leagues this often happens in some big clubs.

as you understand not only money play football. you can but star players but they won't be a star team and average team could beat them.
it's not everything in football about money, but you have to look thoroughly that a financially good club will have a greater chance of winning a league or other trophy.

Right. There is a slight chance on a poor club winning a title. Rich clubs are the ones bidding on superstars and good players. Having good players and superstars means a lot either on winning a title or having its stock rise in prices.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: June 21, 2019, 07:32:42 AM
How can we sure that a lot of people are betting on Pacman, maybe only those fans would say, but Thurman also has a lot of fans.
We can only based on the odds, here, Thurman is the favorites, so obviously there's no enough money betting on Pacman to change the odds.

Based on the odds provided it is obvious that Thurman indeed has the odds. However that cannot be concluded that he was the crowd favorite. It's just that Filipinos mostly don't bet that much every pacmans fight but yeah we are one nation here supporting him.

Maybe because thurman is the younger one but I am not definitely impressed with his last matches. We'll just keep it that way that pacman is indeed the underdog which makes the match quite exciting

Maybe Mayweather will bet. But put it into your mind that there is no such thing as sure win.

Thurman is the favorite because he is undefeated, can box and have good power. Thurman is also younger but the odds is a bit close due to his inactivity. Pacman is past his prime and if Buboy will decide on everything as the head coach I won't be surprised Pacman goes to sleep again. Buboy is nothing special. He's only up for the money.
