On 2017-07-25 (08:10:09) I made a deposit to my BTC-e address

What was the tx ID?
42  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: December 09, 2017, 12:16:09 PM
I basically got the same issue; when the website was already down my coins have been moved to this address: https://blockchain.info/address/1FFs5hv6JBScJq63aFZvBaNsP6FwnhVgre
Currently they are unspent and probably in the hands of the authorities

The wex support is telling me that they don't possess historical data on transactions and orders of the old platform. So they are not able to approve or deny my words, even though I can provide screenshots of my old BTC-e deposit address.

I’d be alright, if I get 50% of my old balance back.

BTC-e ceased using the old block chain in July when the Feds seized the servers with those hot wallets on them.
The moved the funds to safer wallets.

Why you are raising the issue almost 6mths. later I fail to understand.
If the coins were not in your BTC-e account when they came back live in Sep. then they never arrived.
What is the point of linking some wallet balance from a week after the BTC-e servers were seized?

You are screwed.
43  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Withdrawal Problem due to Verification on: December 09, 2017, 06:17:53 AM
Yeah it's all crap, other US exchanges aren't restricting you to 0 BTC withdrawals without warning if not fully verified.

If Bittrex had taken the time to email their user base and clearly outlined their new draconian verification requirements well before they implemented them, would could have withdrawn and be gone to another exchange. Instead the took the sociopathic approach with little or no regard to the impact on their users.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the requirements governments have for fiat transactions. But Bittrex doesn't do fiat, even if they did, the fiat verification requirements shouldn't apply for crypto.

44  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Withdrawal Problem due to Verification on: December 08, 2017, 09:03:25 PM

So if I ask for a refund they will give me all of my money that's on my account?

I doubt it, but you get to voice your complaint.

The problem is that Bittrex went ahead with these changes with out seeking customer approval first.
That is bad business practice and they need to know it by people demanding refunds.

45  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Withdrawal Problem due to Verification on: December 08, 2017, 08:18:33 PM
how can you use a such company? Smiley

You send them the IDs and everything they require without thinking to whom you are trusting your documents. Your identity will be sold on the black market.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bittrex-leaks-user-passports-in-support-emails-says-russian-telegram-channel

And what do you want people to do, genius? If you have thousands of dollars or more stuck there, there is no other solution than giving them your ID. Many other exchanges ask for ID too, for fiat withdrawals anyways, it's not like bittrex is the only one, they are just extremely unprofessional and your link is not confirmed.

Tell Bittrex that it is no longer the service you signed up for, they changed the service with out your agreement, and you want a refund.

There are class actions under way I believe.
46  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: December 08, 2017, 08:13:10 PM

That's correct. You can't just change terms without noticing users AND agreeing to them.
That's completely against the law and illegal. A statement that if
someone does not want to go through the new terms and verification process,
give the option to close accounts and return funds to user.

I agree, a 0 BTC daily limit unless verified is NOT the product I signed up for before I gave Bittrex my money.

Many people don't want to get verified because they don't trust exchanges with personal data, simple as that.
47  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WEX.nz on: December 08, 2017, 11:09:41 AM
now bitcoin withdraws not showing up on blockchain someone?

When you send from WEX it will give you the the transaction ID under the Transaction History button, if it's there then the problem is not on WEX. Check a few block explores for that ID.

I have transactions this week from the wallets on my PC that don't show up on block explorers until after the 1st. confirmation.
The BTC network is not going so well, 250,000 transaction backlog.

48  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WEX.nz on: December 08, 2017, 10:43:05 AM
guys hows going on with WEX?
is it trusted? it need forced verification ?
I'm still trading on WEX and everything is fine. It is one of the reliable exchange sites. I do not draw fiat directly so I do not understand about verification, I often use wex code.

WEX code is a unique (doubtless it is also WEX most useful) feature on the market but it's also the one that raises most concerns, because what it does gives any law enforcement enough grounds to suspend exchange's operations. Practically WEX codes are means to launder money via exchange (you can transfer codes without any KYC between users). Those codes will be shut down at some point - that's for sure.

People in Russia often easily exchange WEX codes for cash in 1:1 proportions despite its being blatantly illegal.
It's not unique, CEX.io has a similar code thing which I have used to consolidate funds between my CEX.io accounts.

The money laundering laws are interested primarily in fiat withdrawals from the exchange, even then the fiat is not held by the exchange instead it's a 3rd. party affiliated with a bank that is meant to know where money came from and ended up regardless of the steps in between. When you buy and sell coins on any exchange, the coins are changing hands, and the withdrawal can be reasonably anonymous if it's only crypto.
49  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Fuck Bittrex,how long i have to wait? on: December 08, 2017, 09:12:02 AM

What public records they could possibly try to match though?
It's data gathering.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bittrex-leaks-user-passports-in-support-emails-says-russian-telegram-channel

As soon as I saw the personal data they wanted, just to withdraw a small amount of crypto, I knew there was something wrong.

50  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: December 08, 2017, 04:50:35 AM
...

After WEX came back, people got back about 45% of the totals, which was even less due to the 2x BTC price rise since BTCE went 'down'. Of course the difference in price of BTC was not re-calculated conveniently. Also this total and utter sheyt with the altcoin tokens is BS as well.

Looks like they are doing it again anyways.
So much misinformation from you.
When WEX.nz came online, people got 61.79% of BTC-e balance and 38.21% in tokens, I cashed out my tokens at 0.7 which gave me 61.79% + 26.75% = 88.54% of what I had, so I was out of pocket just 11.46%, it took no time in this bull market to recover that. Plus, they gave everyone that had BTC on BTC-e the equivalent in BCH plus tokens, so overall I was ahead!
51  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Withdrawal Problem due to Verification on: December 08, 2017, 04:39:16 AM
What really pisses me off is you sign up agreeing to certain terms and condition, they take the money off you, then change the terms and conditions. I didn't sign up for a service were my daily withdrawal limit is 0 BTC without verification, never would have, but that's all I have now which is a bit rude of them.
52  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Withdrawal Problem due to Verification on: December 08, 2017, 02:22:28 AM
Just so that everyone knows, currently bittrex has 0 BTC daily withdrawal limit for all new accounts (and most old ones). "Basic verification" does not work so if you want your coins out, you are forced to upload official ID and a selfie to bittrex. As you can see from this thread and by googling, bittrex support is ... not great. I would not recommend using bittrex for anything.
Yeah, it's been covered in other threads here, seeing they don't do fiat, it must be incompetence or some scam brewing.

Either way, it's a serious alarm bell sounding.
53  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: December 08, 2017, 12:54:54 AM
It's Bitrex's own brand of civil forfeiture.

54  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: December 08, 2017, 12:44:07 AM
Hi folks, I haven't much on there but I'm still really pissed.  After years Bittrex just disabled withdrawals and came up with this KYC scam where they don't even verify valid ID's or answer ticket.  Everyone in this thread should warn other users against Bittrex on the Twitter feeds of Influential bitcoiners and rival exchanges, make sure the news of this scammy behaviour gets out there.  Lawsuits probably won't work but drawing customers away and costing them income could help 'encourage' them to resolve your tickets

Yep, Bittrex have just done it to me too. What a bunch of scammers, making it impossible to withdraw crypto without heavy personal detail disclosure. I have never seen such a restriction on crypto withdrawals on any other exchange.

Bittrex wont even allow you to withdraw $1 worth of crypto without verification regardless of how many times you are did it previously with them.  Complete scam. They are either incompetent, deliberately gathering personal data on people, or insolvent and need to stop withdrawals.

55  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: December 08, 2017, 12:38:18 AM
I just want to vent that I hope all the parties involved in the BTC-E exit ScAM or whoever ran with our bitcoin that got taken get colon cancer and die a horrible and painfully . At least one friend of mine has lost 1.5M from this.

What exit scam? I got most of my coins back in September, the only thing BTC-e lost was fiat, because OKPay "stole" it from them, and BTC-e socialized that loss reasonably well.

BTC-e most certainly haven't done an exit as you falsely claimed, they transferred the user base and crypto to WEX.nz who are happily trading away as usual, albeit with some tight verification requirements for fiat withdrawals.
56  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WEX.nz on: December 07, 2017, 11:55:10 PM
guys hows going on with WEX?
is it trusted? it need forced verification ?

WEX only needs verification for fiat withdrawals, to comply with AML/KYC which makes sense.

Unlike Bittrex which wont let me withdraw my tiny 1.2LTC without extended verification, even though I have done many withdrawals in the past.

57  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Account Enhance verification on: December 07, 2017, 11:40:59 PM
I have had countless deposits and withdrawals on Bittrex over the years, I only trade crypto never fiat.

All of a sudden I can't withdarw any crypto without verification, I fill in basic verification, it says I have no public record which makes sense as I have never had to verify before, so it wants me to upgrade to advanced verification. I don't want to give data like that just so I can withdraw my crypto total value of about 1.2LTC.

WTF is going on?

Are Bittrex pulling some sort of a scam to make it hard to withdraw crypto deliberately.

I will NEVER use Bittrex again if they persist with this.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Watch out for Bittrex it would seem thier engine is designed. on: December 01, 2017, 09:37:36 PM
No matter what I try I can't sell all of USDT without leaving dust behind, it's so annoying.

I have tried Limits, MAX,  when the summary dialog pops up the figures add up to the total USDT balance, when you actually confirm the order and it's placed, there is still dust USDT remaining.
59  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Help - Crazy high transaction fees from Exodus wallet during withdrawal!!! on: November 30, 2017, 10:46:37 AM
Yeah there is something wrong with it.

I am trying to send a 1,706byte transaction will 11 inputs for a .25BTC to another of my own wallets and Exodus wants $52 in fees.
Fee calculator sites say it should be half that based on 157 satoshis per byte. So it looks like Exodus is doing over 300 satoshis per byte.

60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INSANE BITCOIN TRANSACTION FEES!!!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< on: November 26, 2017, 12:32:20 AM
you can use altcoin/fiat for transaction, fees is very low
i hope lightning network will implemented for bitcoin, so it will reduce transaction fees

The Lightning Network for Bitcoin already exists, and it doesn't reduce BTC fees at all. It can give you cheap transactions with other peers on the Lightning Network, but all you are doing is bypassing the Bitcoin network until final settlement, then you are back to the same old fees.

The only "solution" I have read so far is to use some other coin than Bitcoin for small transactions. Of course that fixes nothing, it's just admitting defeat.  I would rather see Bitcoin Core alter the code so the miners get less fees, I mean they are already getting coins they mine on top of the fees, so why do they needs the fees?
