401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 26, 2017, 11:18:54 PM
What is actually the best coin for mining with a GTX 1080 ?

Votecoin looks promising.

do they have a thread? the one on ANN is practically empty
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2137717.0

edit: found it
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2137705.0

how many votecoins can you get per 1080ti atm?

So many people jumping in it's hard to say. It was 500, but now it's more like 200-250

please dont pollute this thread with your shitcoin.

Mate it's all about sharing ideas and letting people make their own decisions so please don't pollute this thread with your toxicity.
Just because you don't like the idea of the coin, doesn't mean it will or won't be profitable for somebody.
If we all just stuck to mining the top 10 coins and never tried new entries, it would be a pretty stale and boring community.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mine new coin: VoteCoin - equihash, very low difficulty now on: September 26, 2017, 10:07:07 PM
Do we know if there has been any applications to exchanges / which ones if so?

So far we've send applications to these exchanges:

Poloniex - applied for enhanced account verification, which is needed to submit new coin for consideration. Still no reply from support
Bittrex - applied for enhanced account verification, which is needed to submit new coin for consideration. Still no reply from support
Coinexchange.io - there is 1 BTC listing fee and 7 days waiting time -> acceptable fee, but very low volume on this exchange
cryptopia.co.nz - listing fee as of now is 5000000 DOT (approx. 5 BTC) -> too expensive
hitbtc.com - 6 months listing - fee 6 BTC /per market -> too expensive
yobit.com - 0.1 BTC listing fee and a few days waiting time -> good terms, but very low volume on this exchange

Our top priority is to get listed on Poloniex or Bittrex. If we are not able to get listed on these exchanges in reasonable time, we will consider listing VOT on some smaller exchanges. So if you guys have any favourite exchanges, send us your tips and we will get in touch with them.
My fav - BitBay.net

That's impressive!
Poliniex and bittrex of course are the preferred option, but good to see yobit on there as a backup as you can still do a reasonable volume for a starter.
Agreed that the others are too expensive for what they offer.

Desperately stuck with mining unknown coins for the 1080TIs now eh? Most available coins are no longer profitable enough for 1080TI compared to other GPUs.

Because of the high power consumption / power-profit ratio it appears mining is dead for the 1080ti. I'd rather sell my 1080TIs while they still have value then just buy the power efficient 1060. I mean come on, the 1060 is about 1/3 the price. You can buy 3 and double your ETH hash rate, for less power. Seems like a no-brainer.
Your ti cards will lose 30% price max while those 1060 will lose more then 50% when mining dies in next year or two. Also eth isnt the only profitable coin to mine atm, there are still coins where ti can earn 3-5$ or more
I'd really like to see those.I call BS.
$3... Maybe. $5? Never. You live in LaLaLand.

About 4 is normal at the moment for me

Thanks guys!

Waiting for huge development!

(And may be we don't need win how-to, at least for a couple of days? Wink )

But is there any difference between GNU/Linux command and windows?
If no, I can write some overview.

Few days sounds good to me Tongue

great news, community give a VOTE to you!

Hopefully we can make it to cryptopia/yobit and coinmarketcap to generate some more interest.
Everything seems to be progressing fast with active devs!
Keep up the great work.

Is there a copy of this in the alt coin announcement section of the site?
If not there probably should be.

I see 2, but only 1 post on each ANN.

Ohwell, seems to be getting some notice already.

Trying to get Sniffdog to start on my 1080's is fruitless. Miner window closes immediately. Sad
By looking at the control window, I can see that the url of the pool is missing in the command line. I specified "-poolname hash" in the .bat file, not sure why it doesn't populate it in the miner command line... :-/

Did you remove any algos from the list? Or are you trying to mine an algo that isn't on hash refinery?
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: September 22, 2017, 07:33:16 AM

Name a single pool that lets you mine directly to an external wallet. I'll wait.

All of them to my knowledge. For signatum I used yimp, supernova & cwi. And all of them deposited funds to my windows wallet.

I also thought this was how it worked :/

Will stick with this coin and have faith though   Smiley

What can we expect after additional nodes (inc Tor) and the web wallet?
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: September 22, 2017, 07:15:18 AM
I will release a new mod later today. New algo

Sounds interesting, look forward to seeing what it is  Smiley

Here is a new mining pool for mining MGT.
It's based on YiiMP, no registration is needed :

  • Stratum  : lycheebit.com:8433
  • User     : YOUR_MGT_ADDRESS
  • Password : c=MGT

Exemple of CCMiner command line :
Code:
ccminer.exe -a skunk -o stratum+tcp://lycheebit.com:8433 -u BDTZdAtexHCrDciiZzmwFuivGXDjHCCNnN -p c=MGT

Happy mining Smiley

SO MANY POOLS FOR A COIN WITH UNLIMITED COUNT....

DEVS!!!!!!!

PLEASE MAKE A VOTE TO PUT A TOTAL LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF COINS

LIKE 5 years WORTH ... 3 years !!!! SO OUR PROJECT CAN BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY

So many people asking for this constantly.

So you agree?

Like many others

OUR VOICES MUST BE HEARD

-MGT Miner

Something should happen, seems little communication from dev.
Maybe when SIGT goes POS soon more attention will come back to this coin.
