GOOD MORNING! Rise and shine family! Observing 10745! Or 18.45 BTC per Lambo! Lamboindex.com Where is Gyrsur? Laughing my ass off You shouldn't as you'll see the number starting with 0, there soonish I personally do not think that this effect will be "soonish" if you intend to define soonish in the next 365 days, but eventually this will be the case for sure

Hy guys, running monero 14.1 linux 64 bit and starting the lmdb with --prune-blockchain from scratch, do i have to use the --prune-blockchain everytime i synchronize or does monerod recognize the pruned database, so i can start with monerod? Thanks --prune-blockchain has to be used (as startup flag) upon every startup of monerod. Hy there, ok, thanks for clarifying! In the next release, do you think it would be possible to detect a "pruned" blockchain upon start of ./monerod in order to avoid two DB's? Kind regards Can you perhaps clarify? The 'new' pruned blockchain file will always be used as default file (you can delete the 'old' blockchain file). I deleted the old lmdb file, and started ./monerod --prune-blockchain from scratch, so i do just have one lmdb file named lmdb. Currently at 80% still syncing, so that is why i am asking, hoping this helps your answer

I’m probably going to get a Rolls Royce or a Bentley, as you say, if everything aligns to plan.
Make sure it's a classic one. You may as well make whatever you possess work for you. When my net worth hits the magic trillion mark I will treat my 12 yr old Ford to one refurbed alloy. The other three can soldier on until the two trillion level. There's only one fancy car I'd fancy owning and I've already owned one many, many years ago. They're now worth about 6-10x more than they once were so I may give it a miss and buy an 11 yr old Ford. Funnily enough the more affluent I get the less interesting any possession seems. Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhh Had to merid for that one

Well neither is a Catalan number. And if I knew what a Catalan number was, I would be even further ahead. Or a christian

Wow - they sure took their time with that, but better late than never I guess. Anyone here know if wallets can be affected by the upcoming hardfork on March 9th? Affected as in? As in errors or quit working. Edit - also wondering how anonymous Monero is coming from a Coinomi wallet? I don't blame you for being concerned about the fork. But it's not the wallet software that's at risk. If something bad happens at the fork, it won't be a glitch with your wallet software. If something bad happens at the fork, it could be much worse than that. It could be a 51% attack, with double spends. Your concern about the wallet not working is misplaced. If that's all you're worried about, you can put your mind at rest. By the way, linux CLI 14.0.0 daemon and wallet work great. I'm using it now. I still remember the problems I had upgrading my Linux wallet when Monero forked to v.7. Also I find the frequent forks tiresome, since they are only treating symptoms temporarily instead of curing the disease (ASIC vulnerability). The tech behind Monero is still cool, but not an end in itself, and I don't see the price going anywhere long as it remains "eclectic", and mainly useful on the darknet. I think the Coinomi Monero integration is a mixed bag - on one hand it's positive since it makes Monero more useful by providing more mainstream access to more people, on the other hand accessibility is a big minus if the wallet isn't secure ( https://www.reddit.com/r/reddCoin/comments/avb43d/crosspost_warning_coinomi_wallet_critical/). The competition is not standing idle. I don't really see Grin as a serious threat to Monero, but I DO see Litecoin as one, since it has a better image, does not have the same issues with ASICS, and looks soon ready for MimbleWimble protocol integration. XMR still has cheaper fees than LTC (ASICS could change this for LTC..), and XMR may still win if the DEV's manage to maintain tech lead by salvaging Kovri before it's too late. Any privacy feature addition to LTC will most likely be optional. As such, the following will apply: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/akq1q5/with_the_scaling_debate_behind_us_the_next/ef6xyq9/The game is on
