401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QBIC [QBIC] - Masternodes, PoW, Secure, ASIC Resistance on: February 08, 2018, 06:30:33 PM
I NO GET ANY COINS FOR AIRDROP. SHIT SCAM

Well, did you talk to support / admins in the QBIC discord channel?

The invite to the channel: https://discord.gg/T8u8WWt

From what I have seen, quite a few people have entered ETH receiving address instead of QBIC receiving address into the form, which lead to disqualification of those people.
Also, I have not received any coins as well, this is since I was not able to post so regularly, as it was (and still is) required.

Bitcoin Talk Profile (Link). What is it?

It is the link to the summary of your profile of your bitcointalk account: when logged in at bitcointalk (i.e. "Bitcoin Forum") click on Profile (4th button from the Home button, blue background, white letters normally) => Summary (under Profile Info), and when you get to see the summary on the screen, then copy the link from your browser into the form.

I have sent email to Cosomos dev. I hope I will be registered in airdrop, because it is dishonest that i'm not able to do this, because my nickname have some prohibited letters.

Same here, I have not received any answer yet - none was said to be sent, but it would be good to know if it worked (e-mail not getting lost in spam folders or something)..
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Numus] | PoW/PoS | Skein | Masternode on: January 31, 2018, 10:47:14 PM
Any news from dev? He's offline from 24.01.
Looks like staking doesn't work any more. I have "expected time for reward" of 1 day but received no coins since the 26.01.

This is strange. Since my wallet continues to mine coins. I received 25, 27, 29 and 30.

For sure it is..
I received coins from staking once in about 3 days, the last transaction was 2.5 nms instead 3.75.
I understand that the reward was reduced, but after that I didn't receive any coins..
Although the wallet is always on and has connections to the network. Tried to restart the wallet couple of times but it changed nothing.

The status is:
"Staking.
..
Network weight is 190714
Expected time to get reward is 1 day(s)"..

May be it's just how the "random" works.

This "1 day(s)" is not correct cause I have never seen it going over this 1 day, no matter how high network weight was..
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RainbowLite [RBL] "There is a Lite at the end of the Rainbow" on: January 31, 2018, 10:43:12 PM
The wallet keeps crashing even I use 32-bit. ;v

My wallet is seems to be very stable, not a single crash / issue yet...
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RainbowLite [RBL] "There is a Lite at the end of the Rainbow" on: January 29, 2018, 10:40:45 PM
POS Staking is NOT an exact "time to stake" .... Maturity just means that the coins are eligible to stake after "X" amount of time (each coins maturity is different) . Then you join the "Lottery" to hash out a block and if your block is accepted in the chain you get a reward .. the "stake". If it not accepted your "weight" keeps increasing until you win the "lottery" and your block is accepted into the chain. Then your coins (NEW and OLD) must mature again and restart the process. Hope it helps

There is something off with PoS here, since today I am not staking cause I "don't have mature coins" yet, yesterday I was staking still normally and in between no transactions (i.e., no POS rewards or such) took place...

It seems to have recovered now, at least the numbers make sense to me (though I have not staked any coins recently yet)...

The newest wallet on windows platform is not syncing: "No block source available..." says in the bottom left corner, "0 active connection(s) to PBS network" in the right hand corner. I have restarted it a few times already, but it did not help. Any suggestions / ideas?

Left it trying to sync for a while, now it seems OK!

I have tried to join airdrop but I have the error - BitcoinTalk Username is not valid. I have checked it few times but I have this error again. Could you help me, how I can go ahead?

I have the same problem, asked at the discord channel:

"the CMOS airdrop form is not accepting my bitcointalk username claiming it is not valid, but it is valid, I am using this username, any ideas?"

but received no answer to date.

I believe the airdrop form cannot deal with some types of special characters. I changed the username from Cookie.Monsters to Cookie_dot_Monsters and then it worked - this will probably disqualify me though...
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Numus] | PoW/PoS | Skein | Masternode on: January 28, 2018, 04:34:43 PM
the number of masternodes is growing but the price is decreasing  Huh

Yeah it kinda sux for me, because I purchased most of a masternode and I have staked a portion of it also. I am 750 coins away from
having enough for the whole thing, and price just keeps dropping. LOL, this was 200k usd for a MN and now 35k USD...  Huh well fuck
Just my luck...Rewards down way low also... So I have a choice, sell out and take the hit, or go down with this ship and HODL. Well I may be making a mistake
but Im hodling and gonna stake out and buy enough to finish this, and hope that DEV becomes more active and pushes for other
exchanges, and does some things to help boost the price. Also, January is coming to an end, so possibly time for crypto to start moving back up again.
Maybe I will be safe, lol. Crazy or genius? We shall see.

Well, I think the Dev is really trying, I only believe that he/she is trying to do too much on his/her own... one needs a coordinated team to handle a (development of a) coin.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 28, 2018, 04:27:48 PM
Let me insert my 5 cents into the discussion about new exchanges and the future of the BTX.

The new exchanges, of course, are important - but in themselves they do not add almost anything to the value of the coin, but only provide its liquidity as a tool for speculation.

Much more important work in the backoffice is in order to increase the usefulness of the BitCore. I look at the roadmap - and it seems to me that it is too stretched in time, is of little aggravation and has too low dynamics. If you work quickly to include a coin in use in various services, as a means of payment, while working on marketing & advertising - you can quickly raise the demand for it.
Artificial restraint by restricting places where one can buy a coin is a bad way. All cryptography tends to the masses and tries to be as light and accessible to beginners and unprofessional people.

And do not forget - that now the BitCore is technically very good and surpasses bitcoin and many other cryptocurrencies. But it will not always be so! The cryptoworld is changing very fast. As soon as the EOS mainnetwork will launched in July, many cryptos will feeling very uncomfortable. The absence of commissions and millions of transactions per second will be available already this year. Many cryptocurrencies are waiting for the collapse and the roadside.
We do not want such a future for our BTX Huh

This seems to reflect my thoughts very well; many of the statements here are not only applicable to BTX but to many other (modern/still under development) cryptocurrencies out there.
Presence on (some) exchanges is important, but constant development and adaption to needs of the (crypto)trading environment is a necessity if one wants to succeed in a long term.
As long investors find it simple/easy to invest in the BTX, its presence on further exchanges falls only secondary to many other aspects of the coin.

Very nice design man.

I like it as well. Design is not so important for me though, functionality / security comes foremost.

I can not see anything unique.

It is not easy to be unique these days, it is all about mid-term and long-term strategy...
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: January 28, 2018, 01:18:08 PM
What is in queue for the Litecoin next, what different changes / improvements are coming?
Funnily, on the website I could not find anything on this subject, but could read at the end of the main page: "Copyright © 2011-2016 Litecoin Project. All rights reserved."  Roll Eyes
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WinMiner v1.104a - auto switch windows app for multi miner optimization on: January 28, 2018, 01:08:15 PM
Has anyone recently compared WinMiner with (the revived) Nicehash in terms of performance / yield?

For yield, no. Not in awhile.

For performance, I can tell you out of Nicehash, Winminer, & Minergate that Winminer is currently the least stable. Let me be clear that Winminer is my favorite of the 3, but it is unfortunately very buggy.

I use Minergate on some of my low end systems with AMD GPU's since it is the most productive with those setups. Many people say that Minergate "steals" hashrate from you. I don't know if they are, but it is more productive than Nicehash or Winminer on those particular machines because it uses the GPU that they won't. I can say that Minergate by far is the most stable software though. I have machines that have run Minergate for weeks without a single reboot or crash. Actually I don't think I've seen Minergate crash EVER, and remember I only use it on my most crappy hardware.

I use Nicehash on my more powerful machines that I can't babysit daily. It seems to produce about the same as Winminer after all is said and done, but I have not done a thorough test. But anecdotally I can say they are very close. Like I said I only use it on machines that I can't get to everyday, and it does crash now and then. But it picks up where it left off after a reboot, so I can "set it and forget it" and generally not lose more than 12 hours, even after a crash.

As for Winminer, it is my favorite and I am behind them 100%, but man oh man the bugs are frustrating. Across about 30 machines that are about as diverse as they can be Winminer crashes ALLOT. On many of my machines it crashes multiple times daily. And something in the last 4 or 5 updates (that all came out in the last two days) is really messing up my 1070 and 1080 machines. 2 or 3 now won't GPU mine at all since they get an "ethminer has stopped working" crash over and over again. Much worse is that after after a crash, Winminer often "forgets" all its settings, so even if I have it set to autorun after a reboot, it won't start mining until I re-enter all the setup details. I lost *days* of mining on some of my machines due to this, which is why I had to go back to Nicehash with them. I've seen several other people complain about this same issue on various forums so I am sure their support is aware of it.

Again, Winminer is my favorite, even with the bugs, and I expect they will all get sorted sooner or later.

Wow, thank you for an exhaustive yet compact report of your findings with different types of machines and setups using WinMiner, Nicehash and Minergate. WinMiner is also my favourite in general, but for stability issues (particularly after Nicehash was hacked which drove many people to WinMiner which in turn was overwhelmed by the member influx; this is not any issue anymore), I mostly moved towards "manual" mining.

Hmm, I could not find any development roadmap for the FTC for this (and next) year? Or the coin has already all relevant tech built in Cool

Just a reminder for those that may not have known/noticed,
TZC has a Telegram group here:

https://t.me/joinchat/DFQmZg09ZJnKHMUM-QlJhg

What is the primary communication channel, i.e. chat tool for the TZC community / devs? Slack, discord, telegram, something else....?

Cannot join, the browser shows me error "The address wasn’t understood" and tries to open link without domain-  tg://join?invite=DFQmZg09ZJnKHMUM-QlJhg

Do you have Telegram configured and working in general? If not, you should do that first (on your smartphone) afaik..
