Most of the coins are really good, don't really understand campycoin's design though, looks more like an app icon than a physical coin.
I see it more like a thick, 2-ounce gold bar, kinda like this:  Very substantial piece of gold in your hands, with the hologram on the back. Thanks! That is exactly what we were going for. It had to be .9999 Solid Gold so we knew we could not have color and "white gold" contrasting with yellow gold. I wanted it to be different... I see coins all over the place and they are very nice but for something that was only going to be limited to 100, I wanted it to be simple but clearly show it's value. Appreciate your kind words... If I knew they were going to want a round coin, I certainly wouldn't have gone so far outside the box. |

Design 15 is far and away the best. A lot of thought. I like the upside down pyramid and more. Plus the box looks like it includes a free vape pen

My two cents.... well again, so 4 Huh and I know I said I was done but when I saw Coinographic replied, I had to see... You may find my comments unprofessional if you like. Yes, I did lose. Again, I did NOT think I'd be in the top 5 but when I saw the top 5 I was bewildered. Let me tell you what I find UNPROFESSIONAL Here is your exact words from the contest description.... "To give you some specifications of exactly what we are looking for...
Firstly the coin will be a limited edition of just 100 coins, minted in 2 ounces of .9999 solid gold. The diameter of the coin will be 41mm. The BTC value of the coin will be 5 Bitcoins. You will need to leave space on the back of the coin for a 33mm hologram. You should design all aspects of the coin from the coin itself to the hologram and the packaging it will be supplied in.
We are looking for people to be as creative as possible. It is our intention to create the most luxurious & exquisite physical Bitcoin ever minted.

Then you come and reply to us that have some issues with... We made a decision when reviewing the entries that the coin needed to be round. Whilst we do like the creativity of the odd shaped coins, we just felt they are not representative of a coin.
No shit a square is not a coin.... Yet the square idea was "exactly what we are looking for"
Regarding the boxes… It’s important to remember at this stage all designs are just concepts, not final products. The designer will be required to design a box should that design win. When the voting is over we will work with the winning designer to perfect the concept and complete the product design.
Oh the winner has to design a box? Hmmmm, nice to mention this after 30 of us designed a box. As far as your comments go on the design by bonksnp2, we saw this very much as a white/yellow gold coin. It is the concept of this design that we like and that’s why we chose it.

Replating is a simple process that can be done to restore whiteness to rhodium-plated jewelry.We are happy with our selections. 5 of us in the office all rated each coin from 1-10, then all votes were added together to form a total score and select the final 5.
It seems this thread is filled up with posts from designers that didn’t get selected, this is inappropriate and unprofessional. Anyone else notice how there are no negative comments from anyone else?
Maybe I'll run a contest some time. Have you spend a few hours on it. Then change the rules and try and make you feel like you are in the wrong. You are a joke. |

Round, with a design on front and a hologram on back. Exciting as watching paint dry. But I will be interested in buying one of these fabulous coins. Well, in my opinion it is pretty easy to get lots of early votes when it is 10am or 11am where you are and you post this.... Pretty sure you just told the entire Croatian board to come over and vote for your coin and what do you know, you have 4 or 5 people that have come over to say they vote for you. You are really proud of yourself aren't you? Shut up and be happy and humble that your 20 minute design went through despite your lack of paying attention to rules. Also, the coin is supposed to be picked because it is best, not who can tell their buddies the best. "ako vam se svidja" - translation: if you like it. Nothing wrong with that I guess... Why shouldn't I make people aware that there is voting here? Just stop it trolls and leave me alone. Some people... I did not bash your design bro. I said you didn't have a box in and it was in the rules. So cool that you went and designed a box in 5 minutes. I could win a lot of contests and auctions if I were allowed an extra 12 hours and paid no attention to rules... Then, like an asshole you say, There is obviously the reason why they selected my work to top 5, and as far as I can see people here support my design too. Oh people calm down please. OK, I clearly missed the box part - because I got confused with this post by Coinographic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=693176.msg7866076#msg7866076 I figured they already decided about the Bitcoin box, but that was for Litecoin - my bad, should have read it more carefully. But in post after that they said: We will be using this supplier for all our boxes from this point on - very happy
Creating a box isn't a problem for me - and it will be better that yours for sure  If Coinographic wants me to do it, and they won't be using that wooden box... Besides: The winning designer confirms that;
1) They agree to work with us after the voting is complete until the final coin design is produced, no matter the amount of time this takes
And yes, I agree to work with them as much as needed on anything that needs to be designed: the box, the toilet paper...blah... As for some things that might look similar to other people's designs - I'm waiting for some kid to acuse me for using the word "Bitcoin" because he used it too  You are not the ones who decide about any kind of disqualification - only Coinographic can do that. They make the rules and can change them if they want to. There is obviously the reason why they selected my work to top 5, and as far as I can see people here support my design too. That's all. And now all I have to choose from is 5 almost identical looking round plain coins. I am not even slightly interested in buying one of your coins. They are everywhere. Sure, I'd be interested at $4,000 but with the mark-up one of these would carry, I'd want something unique and different. Hell it is 2 oz. Solid Gold loaded with 5 btc. Why would I want a coin that looks like the silver rounds and every Litecoin they make. I won't vote or watch this thread cause I don't care who wins. I already know. We have now selected the 5 designs to go through to the final phase of the competition. We will be starting another competition very soon for a lower denomination coin. We would welcome you all to enter that contest when it goes live. There were so many great designs, it was a really tough choice. Thank you once again to the community for their support in this project. Best of luck to the finalists Coinographic did the most terrible job selecting the winners of this. They selected 5 round coins, nothing unique, nothing special (don't get me wrong, nice submissions for the most part) but why even vote now. It will be round with a design. Cool. What was so terrible is the contest rules required basically 2 things. a. design the SOLID GOLD COIN and b. design the hologram and the Box it will come in... Yet, out of 5 winners... one winner did not submit a box... shouldn't even be in the conversation if you can't read the rules. And another of the 5 winners designed this...  Does this look like solid gold to you? He even states that it will have solid gold lines. Yeah that makes sense. So cool that you guys selected your 5 winners and all 5 are bout the same and 2/5 can't follow directions. Pathetic |

Yet you awarded a winner who didn't follow the rules twice, by submitting ONLY a coin. iawgoM. shouldn't even be considered, let alone getting early votes.... where is his box? Despite that, you selected 5 plain ol' round coins... When the submission entries had A CUBE  A SQUARE  AND BY FAR THE BEST OVERALL DESIGN THAT WASN'T EVEN SELECTED  If it were just these issues, possibly I wouldn't have posted in my frustration, and yes... my coin is the square one that wasn't selected but so far you selected a coin that had no box (should be disqualified) and also you selected this!!!  I MEAN HONESTLY WTF guys??? That coin is silver! How could you possibly make it two grams "SOLID GOLD"? The designer even states "engraved gold lines" WTF! How? Overall this was a pathetic display Coinographic. You could have actually taken a day to make sure you picked correctly. This was terrible. |
