401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: November 25, 2017, 05:49:10 PM
Is your Cardano ship about ready to sail…without you?

The Cardano project may be a next generation blockchain, making a brand new localized economy, and democratising finance in rising markets. It addresses the necessity for restrictive oversight while maintaining client privacy and protections through an innovative superimposed design. This software system stack is versatile and scalable , developed with the foremost rigorous educational and industrial software system standards. Cardano features a democratic governance model which will let the project evolve, and a visionary treasury system to fund it sustainably.

What makes Cardano (ADA) so special?

The Cardano settlement layer (CSL) stores and accounts for price, and may be a standalone blockchain with a token known as ADA. It’s what Bitcoin would seem like if it were engineered from scratch nowadays. Bitcoin’s energy-consumptive Proof of work accord mechanism has been replaced with the primary incontrovertibly secure Proof of Stake (PoS) rule, engineered specifically for Cardano. ADA users have similar privacy protections to bitcoin once transacting on the CSL, at a lot of larger speed and transactional capability as a result of its PoS rule. ADA is ready to be out there for commerce on exchanges in June.

So the crowsale to get tokens at 25% off doesn't start until Jan 14th?

We'll be selling tokens at a 25% discount to whitelist purchasers from Jan 8-13th. The minimum purchase to get on the whitelist is 1000 USD worth of tokens. To apply for the whitelist follow the link on our website.

Thanks for your detailed answer, very helpful. $1000 is perfectly reasonable, even for small investors like me.

I agree. I freaking hate spending time reading a white paper only to find out later on the minimum to buy in is some exorbitant amount like $50,000.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] CrowdDrive– Blockchain based car participation platform on: November 25, 2017, 05:46:20 PM
I can't seem to find a road map on the site or original post, do you guys have one?

Yes we have a road map I added it to the announcement post and you can also find it in the Whitepaper. We will publish a more detailed one when the Token Sale is finished.

Okay nice, thanks. I see it now. Any big changes to it you can share now?

407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QBE] World's first decentralized employee marketplace - PodOne on: November 24, 2017, 08:19:44 PM
i asked in the telegram channel about it...they have a partnership with a university in florida to create the content. i think then the companies can post their own trainings on there as well

PodOne is partnered with the University of Florida?

They said "A university in Florida", not "The university of Florida", subtle but important difference.

So does the coin itself have any features that make it unique, or is it just the platform that is unique?

Hey I know it's a holiday in the US, so just whenever you get a chance.
We're working over the holidays! Smiley We do need it, we use advanced referral smart contracts we need our own token for. More details in the whitepaper and even more details in a new version 1.5 of the whitepaper coming next week!

I look forward to reading it. Where are you guys based anyway?
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano: A Plebes View on: November 24, 2017, 08:15:14 PM
I'm of the opinion that the vast majority of crypto users and hodlers are looking to make money in this space. So to this end, I, like I'm sure many of you do research as the time allows and sift through the massive amount of projects going on and where to place your investment. Whether it's a privacy coin, or has mass market adoption aspects or maybe even that the project provides some sort of needed utility in the cryptosphere even if the coin doesn't prove to be needed.

My findings come to this. Cardano is looking to achieve what most of them are under one project. Through IOHK, Cardano and Emurgo, the problems of scaling, interoperability, data, efficient mining, financing, crowd funding and use and marketing (I'm sure I'm missing some here) all fall under this umbrella.

The caveat? "If realized." Very fair argument. Looking at the teams and watching the videos, reading the documentation provides much of the faith one would require to make a sound investment.

I put money into this space every week. I can't justify putting it on much of any other project besides Cardano and am now happy to say that I'm a 10k ADA hodler! Told you I was a plebe!

Bottom line. Should Cardano achieve what it is setting out to do and from what I've seen so far, this project will be wildly successful. Whether or not that will also be wildly profitable? I can't say, but I can say that investing and organic growth is of the highest confidence.

Thanks for reading.

I've put 15% of my portfolio into Cardano, I expect very big things from it and I consider it one of my least risky investments.

Yeah no way I see Cardano dropping even 25% of it's value in the next 3 months. Hard to predict anything much further than that in this space though.

The betting exchange will be available subject to local gambling regulations.

So what is the plan on dealing with this? I've heard a lot of gambling outfits register through less regulated island countries.

You're on the right track, we'll be registering the betting exchange through a less regulated country in order to be able to offer it in as many markets as possible.

Can you disclose which countries you're leaning to at this point? I'd like to do some more research on my own.

Does the token itself offer any innovation, or is that mostly focused on the platform itself?

Curious about this when you guys get a chance to answer some questions.

So how does one apply to the signature bounty?

You can apply by clicking on "Partecipate" below "Signature Bounty Campaign" section.

These rewards are very tempting. When can we expect payout?

At the end of TGE.

Ither, are you on the the Thrive team page? If so, which one are you?

No I'm not in the Thrive team page at the moment  Smiley

Oh, duh... Lol, appreciate you.

418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEST (google company) Appoints Cardano (ADA coin) as fund manager on: November 23, 2017, 08:05:55 PM
Cardano is going to increase its price in a very short period of time.
When it got listed it was about one cent each one of them, a little bit more if i am not wrong.
The actual price can easily be doubled, and more now that it is receiving those huge news, not all the companies, specially those who are based on the blockchain are able to be selected by google..
Lets see how it goes, i have some Cardanos on my portfolio, but it doesnt mean anything, because it is less than $50 in total, so it is dust.

If you expect Cardano to explode, why do you have so little invested? I have about $1000 in ADA right now.

I'm glad you spent the money on getting some professional legal advice. I had no doubt this would be considered a utility.

Are there any other kinds of regulation you would be subject to possibly?

420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] CrowdDrive– Blockchain based car participation platform on: November 23, 2017, 08:01:49 PM
Is there a certain firm you've contracted to go over the legal aspects?

We have talked to a legal firm. It is a utility token that makes it easier for us and some critical countries are not allowed to participate in the sale.

That's great, so all clear as far as regulations go?

Yes everything is clear. We have future changes and regulations in view.

Can you go into any detail about future regulations you'll have to deal with?

Sure. In our main sector the vehicle sector there is at the moment no direct regulation. But we think it is possible that in 10 to 20 years there will be a regulation on cars with internal combustion engines. Some countries already have regulations, as an example on which cars can drive in a big city.
Also there will be regulations on self driving vehicles. We think the whole vehicle market will change in the next maybe 10 up to 15 years.

I'm actually impressed with how far ahead you guys are thinking. This is a very good sign.
