401  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warning, Sell your bitcoins ASAP before we break the $5.00 wall on: February 14, 2012, 02:34:23 AM
Sold mine many moons ago  Grin

Shit I may have to take my first bitcoin loss if those damn manipulators don't start pushing the price up higher. They are letting us all rot here. Well, at least they have their 18K Bid wall at $5.00 that I will probably sell into.
402  Economy / Speculation / Warning, Sell your bitcoins ASAP before we break the $5.00 wall on: February 14, 2012, 02:30:44 AM
Just a friendly warning,   Grin

Sell your bitcoins before we break the $5.00 wall, because once we do we will probably be testing $2.00 again.

I own bitcoins that I bought at 5.2, and am in the process of selling them before we break the $5.00 wall.
403  Economy / Speculation / Re: Last chance! Get your cheap bitcoins now! on: February 14, 2012, 02:27:34 AM
naa I won't buy any more until this new bitcoin bubble deflates.

I know better than to buy bitcoins above $2.00, but I thought I would gamble a bit and buy at a low point and then watch it swing higher.

But what I did was catch a falling knife, a very newbie idiot move, when the price went that low, it went that low for a reason, and that reason was that it was not going to go higher.

At least my loss is very small right now as I bought at 5.21, I will try and sell them if we rebound above 5.2. If we start hitting that $5.00 wall, my coins will be sold ASAP as if we break the $5.00 wall all hell is going to break loose and we will probably see $2.00 very soon.
404  Economy / Speculation / Re: Last chance! Get your cheap bitcoins now! on: February 14, 2012, 02:22:42 AM
I just love these 'Last chance to buy bitcoins at $X!' threads.  They appear every time bitcoin's price begins to fall, and are often posted by people long on bitcoins watching their investment shrink in value.  Sometimes the thread is true (try buying a bitcoin for $2.20 today), but very often the thread is completely wrong ($7.20 was apparently the last chance to buy them that cheap before they rocket upwards...).

I got taken buying at 5.21, and I even was going to sell but decided to hold.

Funny thing is the only other time I bought bitcoins I sold them the same day I think and the price went down and never looked back. Looks like this ist he case again, bought at 5.21, now its falling, and it is likely to drop even much more.

I am definitely dumping all my coins as close to 5.21 as I can so that I don't lose any money.
405  Economy / Speculation / Re: fake walls = ghost walls on: February 14, 2012, 02:19:36 AM
NOt suprising. When someone but an ask wall at 5.4 or so yesterday of aroun 14K, you would think the manipulators with their ghost walls would just buy this wall right up.
They were not able to do so.

Seems like they can only put ghost walls up, and buy small quantities of bitcoins in order to drive price higher.

Maybe it is Mt. Gox doing those walls to try and maintain price higher so they can reap more commissions.
406  Economy / Speculation / Re: Last chance! Get your cheap bitcoins now! on: February 13, 2012, 05:41:37 AM
This looks pretty bad,

I'm going to sell the coins that I bought at a wash right now.

Too risky, looks like we may finally be heading lower.

407  Economy / Speculation / Re: Last chance! Get your cheap bitcoins now! on: February 13, 2012, 04:57:09 AM
Got my coins at $5.2, the $5.6 wall can not and will not be broken.

How many bitcoins will be thrown at it until it is known the  manipulator has too much invested at this point. He threw up a 50K wall, and we will be back to $5.6 before you know it.

408  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Shuffle has begun on: February 13, 2012, 03:17:20 AM

They gotta push the price below $5.00, and then we should see a downwards movement from there and probably a new longer term price in the $4's.

They got close this time, but quite didn't make it.
411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holy shit look at that wall on: February 13, 2012, 03:03:12 AM
What wall are you referring to?

Looks like they pulled a fast one on the manipulator. NOrmally when they lower the price the manipulator buys back to 5.6, this time they stuck a damn wall at 5.4 so he can't buy back so easily.

Lets see how this plays out.

412  Economy / Speculation / Discussion on why around $5.6 seems to be a wall or price floor? on: February 12, 2012, 04:18:06 AM
It is driving me nuts why $5.6 seems to be the price bitcoins is currently being stable at.

Why do you guys think that bitcoins can't seem to fall below or above around $5.6.

If it falls below that point, it is quickly bought back up to $5.6 or above.

If it goes above $5.6, it seems to fall back to that point.

Is this just the psychological price level? Is it a price that market players decided to set a price floor at and if so why?

Whats going on?

To me it looks like market players put a price floor at around $5.6 and decided they don't want it falling below that point.
413  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think it is safe bet to BUY bitcoins now. My speculation. on: February 12, 2012, 01:58:15 AM
You took it too exact, when I say 5.6 will not be broken, it may dip below 5.6, but it will very fast be right back above 5.6.

The manipualtors need time to push it back up.

Back over 5.6 again.

It is futile to try and push the bitcoin price below that point.
414  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think it is safe bet to BUY bitcoins now. My speculation. on: February 12, 2012, 01:32:59 AM
The 5.6 floor will not be broken!

No reason to really even put in a stop loss.

415  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think it is safe bet to BUY bitcoins now. My speculation. on: February 10, 2012, 10:27:08 PM
Holy shit, a bullish Edward? What’s going on here?

^^
A sure sign of the apocalypse; I'd better sell everything I have, because when sentiments on this subforum become this bullish things often seem to go the other way. LOL

You make a very good point. This is what worries me. I have not placed any bets yet LOL.

Only one other time did I recommend buying and selling in the short term, and right after I did that the price fell pretty dramatically.

What I can't understand is that it looks like sombody wants it known that the $5.6 price range won't be taken down.

By doing this it is like someone saying you can play blackjack, and any losses you take we will pay you the money. So you will only gain money. This is what this obvious price floor is showing.

I would think that the person putting in this price floor is paying a price for showing everybody that he has put a price floor in, but is he?

Either way it looks like we have a pretty stable price floor, so your really only betting on the price rising from this point. Place your stop losses, and enjoy the ride up. If it rides down then just sell your coins back.
416  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think it is safe bet to BUY bitcoins now. My speculation. on: February 10, 2012, 09:15:33 PM
I am only bullish because the manipulation is very easy at the current price level and volume of bitcoins. Somebody with a few million dollars can have no trouble controlling the market.

I think it was in the "the money makers" who said that anything that can be made scarce and quantity controlled can be manipulated. Even gold can be manipulated.

Bitcoins, with its very small volume, and especially very small volume being actively traded can be very easily controlled and manipulated.

I originally underestimated the extent to which bitcoins can be manipulated. I did this because I did not think somebody with a few million dollars would be trading.

That is why I think currently it is a safe bet, especially considering somebody with large runds was able to buy hundred of thousands of dollars worth of bitcoins, just to protect the price from falling. He is not going to let his current investment go to shit.

SO we are gambling with what looks to be a nice floor, so your upwards potential is very high here. The odds at winning this gamble is in your favor if you put a stop loss in about $5.00.
417  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think it is safe bet to BUY bitcoins now. My speculation. on: February 10, 2012, 06:16:36 AM
Your assuming hes not going to dump lot the lot at some stage. Its a trap.

It very well can be a trap, that is why you should have a stop loss in there.

I think at this point there is more of a chance of it going higher at this point. Especially considering you probably have that $5.6 floor.

so the odds are in your favor to buy right now.
418  Economy / Speculation / I think it is safe bet to BUY bitcoins now. My speculation. on: February 10, 2012, 06:00:12 AM
This is how I will be placing my bets. Remember this is speculation, so nothing I write is written in stone, just my intuition.

I watched yesterday how tens of thousands of bitcoins were sold, with the obvious goal of lowering the price below $5.00.

Even with these huge amounts being sold into the walls, somebody with huge pockets does not want the price to fall below $5.00.

I have seen it attacked multiple times recently. Every sell attack is always stopped, and then counterattacked with almost as strong bid walls, and driving the price right back to high $5's.

I speculate that somebody has bought probably 100,000 coins yesterday trying to keep the price above $5.00.

It seems that this person has almost unlimited funds and he has decided he does not want the price to fall below $5.00. I think this is because he probably owns hundreds of thousands of bitcoins, and is deeply invested at this point.

After seeing the last attempt fail, and then a quick rebound in price, with strong bidwalls again, I knew we hit a floor at about $5.6.

I knew today we would probably see rally, and when I checked the price later today, we did have a rally.

At this poing, it is a very safe bet in my opinion to buy right now as you have the backing of somebody deeply invested and will not let the price fall.

I just loaded my money into mt. gox, and will be betting on a rebound to come shortly. I of course will have my stop losses set around 5.00, as if we fall below $5.00, then all hell will break loose and this manipulator can't hold or decided not to keep the price floor in check.

419  Economy / Speculation / Re: the next tipping point on: February 08, 2012, 10:47:28 PM
The battle in the $5's has been going on for a while now. It seems that somebody does not want the price to fall below $5. It is being well defended. Today alone 200,000K volume on mt gox, with it hitting low of $5.3.

However, even after they hit the low of $5.3, a big market player(s), decided to reinforce their position again and drive the price back up.

Seems like they don't want it to fall below $5.00, and will prevent it at all costs.
420  Economy / Speculation / The bitcoin charade on: February 05, 2012, 06:45:27 PM
I watched last night as the $5.7 25,000 bidwall got sold into. After that was gone someone reinforced $5.6 and $5.65 with about 15,000 BTC each. Seems like that got sold into also.

Someone also has an ask wall around $6.05 at 20K BTC.  Which I think has been moving slowly down.

Looks like there are big battles going on in the $5.00.

Now bitcoins looks to be controlled by two sides of manipulation, one side who wants the price to go up and one side who wants the price to go down. I used to think there was one side who wanted the price to go up, and just early adapters dumping their bitcoins.

These sides of the up and down are not your average bitcoin investor, they commonly buy and sell 20K walls no problem.

I am surprised so many of you have faith in bitcoin which is obviously just another form of online gambling. A price that is unstable and set by which side of the bitcoin gamblers want to push it.

My take on the current bitcoin market is:
Right now seems like the gamblers who want the price to go down are slowly winning. There seems to be very low demand lately for anybody buying bitcoins at the current price. The volume was ultra low yesterday until the bidwalls were sold into. Ultra low at like 20K bitcoins, and has been becoming low like this lately. The manipulators who are trying to push price higher will pretty much have to buy most of the coins going up. They have very few bitcoin investors helping them push it higher. They will also have to maintain the currently artificially high price they set by buying all the miner coins who routinely sell their coins after mining. Also deal with the manipulators who want price to go down ask walls now.
If the price does get into the $4's, this will really start lots of panic sells for many of the people who bought on the way up to $7.2, and have been holding off. I think this is why they have been defending the price falling into the $4's so hard and long.
