Australia is not really 'safe' for Bitcoins in my opinion the govt hasnt shown any signs of readiness to accept it there.

There is more than one 'government' in Australia; there's about a dozen. You're forgetting you can pay taxes with bitcoin in Launceston, Tasmania.
404  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [H] $15 PP [W] $15 BTC on: January 03, 2015, 11:35:44 AM
EDIT: Anyone can help me how this works?

In short, you need to find someone that's going to trust you. What assurances can you give, keeping in mind your word presently means nothing?

Down and easy? Come here and you'll be running to go back. I live in NSW, potentially the biggest nanny state in the world.

Surprisingly the U.S. banking system is pretty broken, when you compare what our banks can do (in terms of technology) and the cost (most accounts are free).

Be nice if the laws of Australia applied here. Seems like everything is "Down and Easy" in the aussie.

I accept WU and Moneygram for U.S. citizens Wink

Trying to follow KYC requirements I see ($1000 or less per person per day otherwise must validate ID cause of KYC laws). Good for you.

That's false. Contrary to the belief of many Americans, United States law does not apply outside of the United States.

I am required to follow Australian law, where the threshold reporting amount is $10,000 as per AUSTRAC guidelines and my obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act Cth 2006.

I am imposing a $1000 limit to manage risk.

I need to limit trades to $1000 (or AUD equiv) for now.

Still trading though.

412  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTB] 2 btc to Citibank only on: December 24, 2014, 06:46:43 AM
I currently have fiat with Citibank Australia, which participates in the Citibank Global Transfer scheme (free and instant transfers).

I'm only looking at buying ~2btc.

I'm looking for someone with a Citibank account that is in a CGT participating country see list here. Can anyone help?

ID is not a major problem sending to a private seller but would be better if it could be avoided.

I remembered another alternative.

I can easily buy google play, itunes, spotify, etc... vouchers with cash.

Are there a market for those?

Not sure who wants $320 of gift cards though Tongue

The ID you provide to WU/Moneygram isn't provided to the recipient, it's just held on file for their reference.

WU to Australia is $5 from memory, happy to sell if you still need to.
