I probably could run Electrum on my N900 (not sure) if I spent some time on it
Yes, you can. But you will need easydeb chroot. Python used on maemo5 is prehistoric.
406  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Online wallet on: February 27, 2012, 10:27:14 AM
Regarding the security.
Only safe online wallet is wallet which does not store any bitcoins (private keys).

online wallet available at any time, where you can send and receive payments from your browser or mobile devices.
Dynamic horizontal resizing would be fine. It looks bad on 800x480

(or two site designs - one for desktop / tablet, one for smartphone)
407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Basic questions - wrapping head around wallets on: February 16, 2012, 03:02:09 PM
You can use paper wallets for receiving payments without importing the keys in BTC clinet first.
408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What software do i need. on: February 15, 2012, 07:52:37 AM
Use BAMT. Drivers included, also overclocking is just the matter of changing the number in config file. Email notifications for temp. and hashrate included. No HDD necessary, just put the image on USB flash drive and boot that beast.

Ahoj,

Hladam zaujemcov o pravidelne pisanie clankov pre bitcoins.sk
Jednalo by sa o pravidelne zapisky blogoveho charakteru raz tyzdenne, pripadne raz mesacne, doplnene o monitoring zahranicnych medii a preklad dolezitych sprav ktore sa v nich objavia. Primarne hladam nikoho schopneho pisat v Slovencine, no Cestina tiez pripada do uvahy.

Btw. tosaki, remember that guy with disabled escrow? I was expecting everything but... THIS ?!? That GPU nearly caused me a heart attack Cheesy
413  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping platform / auction house (e.g. buy GOLD FOR BITCOINS) on: January 26, 2012, 09:50:00 PM
Is there an easy way to translate Bitmit to other languages?

I suspect that someone who created a business outsourcing the solving of captchas to people in third world countries would be wildly successful.
And you are absolutely right...

I imagine that rebuilding the database will fix this, but thats ages.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I have the torrent of the database that slush put up (I think it was him), so that may be easiest.
If you let abe build the database itself it's faster. When blocks are imported, stop abe, start electrum.
416  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping platform / auction house (NEW: Country filter) on: January 14, 2012, 06:23:26 PM
Well, thanks for explanation and warnings

1) I really don't like this feature
2) I am aware that seller has no rating, no identity confirmation, I didn't noticed disabled escrow but I am kind of adrenalin freak when it comes to buying from random strangers from time to time Cheesy If it's a scam, It will be my fault.

Is it possible for seller to enable escrow during the ongoing auction?
If yes, maybe I should convince him to use it.

Just found this on RT facebook page:

Do you own flashlights? Or pay with cash instead of a credit card? And do grocery shopping for the week? I do. You probably do – and guess what, according to the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI, that could make both of us terrorists...

Hello,
I don't want to cry on IRC anymore about this. Instead I will leave this post here.. maybe someone will figure it out and help me in the future.

This is the message I get while starting electrum server:

Code:
ERROR:Abe.DataStore:Failed to catch up {'blkfile_number': 1, 'dirname': '/home/bitcoin/.bitcoin', 'chain_id': None, 'id': 1L, 'blkfile_offset': 0}

TypeError: 'NoneType' object is unsubscriptable

In older versions of server, importing of blocks was just bloody slow. In recent version it is not importing at all.

.bitcoin folder re-created from scratch
MySQL database removed and created again

Result is the same...
