The exchanges should be self-regulating the coins they list, like the stock market does.

Yeah they should but they won't until someone forces their hand and that can be only done with regulations. Only reason for them to unlist something right now is that it's not profitable to list something or keep it in the exchange.

I always found their LinkedIn, Twitter and Telegram channel as good sources of updates.

They should put their telegram channel to coinmarketcap links. It was pretty hidden on their homepage and it took a while to even find.
403  Other / Politics & Society / Re: serious question: can we start a TRUMP - Tokenomics on: January 24, 2021, 08:34:05 PM
my direction is complete opposite
i was thinking about a social coin community , nft this kind of stuff

We need commune coins, not this endless scam-coin bullshit. Essentially stock in a given community.

Scam-coins are destroying the image of the crypto space.

We can't really blame people for creating them as long as we keep pouring money to every meme scam out there. It is making us look bad yeah, but that's the price we have to pay for keeping up unregulated markets.

What it comes to OP:s question. It's the matter of your preference. Erc20 is popular but the fees are unbareable so you have to be able to afford to distribute it.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto art? EDUCATE ME on: January 24, 2021, 08:21:14 PM
You have to think the ownership very differently from buying physical collectables. With virtual art you are basically buying data that's connected to some other data. You own the proof of a connection. This connection can represent rights to the art. If the game that sells NFT objects or Virtual gallery that sells art or the site that hosts the pictures quits their operation, the connection is severed and you only own the tokens that are connected to nothing.

You forgot a few essential things: the whitepaper, the source code and the new technical developments the project offers. The whitepaper and source code should be the main factors to check before you do an investment into crypto. If you not familiar with the technical background and if you can not read source code then look for competent opinions from people in the community who can.

Literally amongst the first things i mentioned was "Read the project white paper".

But i agree with the source code thing, and opinion of an expert about it would be valuable. I thought i had included that in the section about the project itself or "competition". So that's a good point.

I'll update that later and give you credits for noticing that. Smiley

"You may only select up to 14 options" but the options are fixed at 14 and last option is extra . on the option there is "playing it too safe" but is this a weakness ? because i think its not . on trading we are doing are best to play it safe because risks or too much risks are deadly and can turned into loosing .

Well to a point it's not a problem. But if you play constantly too safe you won't be making too much money and you will be better off just investing rather then trading.
407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to DYOR in investing on: January 24, 2021, 04:29:50 PM
Well i guess i was wrong with the sol. Marketcap just mooned and price even moved forward. I didn't count the effect of the altcoin season.

2018? Can you give any links from that era? I thought that this project just started. I mean this ann thread was made in September 19. 2020.
Not every ann is a new project, sometimes people making ann in this forum aims to build a community, to expand it. Even this project already have 2 ann thread. Here is the proof that this project is exist since 2018, they running a feedback bounty https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5066357.0

Oh, thank you for the link. I had no idea. Why it did 2 years for them to ask for funding? I mean obviously it was good that they didn't if people should have waited for 2 years but that's not uncommon to sell just a white paper idea.

*cut*
... Betfury needs to host TRX competitions to incentivize BFG (TRX) holders too. They can switch it from ETH this month to BTC next month then TRX. Repeat the process.

I fully agree with this one. And the best part for this is, there wouldn't be too many of BFG(btc) tokens when the mining cap gets filled and no more tokens can be mined. Even though there are more BFG(trx) tokens now, BFG(btc) is gaining up and diluting my dividends.

really disappointing, and I also remember about this project before in 2018, and fortunately I never monitored this project, and I guessed right, the dark side of KittieFIGHT is now visible and very less convincing

412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DECENT Announcement - Decentralizing Content Distribution on: January 23, 2021, 09:36:14 AM
Greetings everyone,

First thing first we would like to apologize for our inactivity in this platform. There has been some readjustment on our marcom approach and now we are back!

First thing first, we would like you all to know that your voice is heard and we have read most of the comments here.
Generally we would like to address the notion that we have abandoned the project, and to that we say absolutely not. We are merely pour too much focus on our B2B approach to built a real and strong fundamental which has been proven by various project that our partner and us has undertake using DCore.
I.E :
SecuX, Taiwan based Point of Sales system utilizing DCore https://decentplatform.medium.com/secux-stream-the-first-point-of-sales-system-running-on-dcore-a44cbf55d2a2
3IPK Partnership with European Space Agency powered by DCore https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6743457385043644416

And many more which you can read more on our medium or linkedin channel above.

But apparently in the market that fueled with face paced innovation, human emotion, and various uncharted factors in this young crypto market makes our token price depreciated during the crypto winter regardless of the fundamental that we built over the years.

Therefore in 2021 we would like to readjust our focus and be more balance between our B2B and our token side of things. This year we will listen more and monitor the trend and the innovation in the crypto space and will evolve DCore and the ecosystem accordingly. DEX, DEFI, Interconnection of blockchain and many more emerging tech on the industry is on our best interest and we will post more updates in regards of this evolution soon!

Hopefully 2021 will bring about an all new DECENT that will contribute further towards global blockchain revolution!
Thank you all of you that has been with us and still have faith on DECENT after all these years and for those who are disappointed, we understand and we are sorry but if you wish to be with us on this brand new year filled with optimism hopefully you won't be disappointed with the grandplan that we have instore in the very near future.

Hi, i am trying to figure out why this has such a low marketcap.

Major problem i saw was the lack of communication lately to the point that without your twitter i would have thought that this project died.

I mean it is great to activate your ann thread to kill the fud but:

  • Your last blog post was from March 09, 2020.
  • Last press release was almost year ago.
  • Last Telegram announcement was from Nov 15. 2019 and i can't seem to find any Decent discussion chat
  • Last youtube video was 2 months ago, and it doesn't make sense that you didn't make any blog post for it.

So what i am asking is, is the twitter an official channel i should follow for news on this project or do you have a mailing list or somthing?
413  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you combat your weaknesses in trading? on: January 20, 2021, 10:07:31 AM
TLDR; i guess i wanted to ask that have you guys learned any lifehacks to overcome your weaknesses?
I hope there is something like "lifehacks" that exist.  Cheesy
We are never alone in the losing end. Hell, those exchanges won't make anything without traders losing.
All you can do is learn from those mistakes.
I do make a lot of errors before and not just minimal. The greed that would cost everything.
But on the road, you will learn to be calm and make better decisions.

Most exchanges don't care if we are losing or not, as a big part of their funding model are the tx fees. And big part of the traders are doing spot trading anyway. So exchanges don't get any more no matter if they lose or not.

But by "lifehack" i meant more like a mind trick that keeps you focused when you need to act against every instinct you have. Like buying when you are afraid and sell when you are greedy.
414  Economy / Trading Discussion / How do you combat your weaknesses in trading? on: January 18, 2021, 01:40:06 AM
My major problem in trading most definitely is Poor risk management. I sometimes see myself more like a gambler then a trader. With that usually comes overtrading because i want to trade for kicks, and even losing gives me kicks. But i try to combat that by trading with at least 4h candles so the time between the swings will be longer, and i will use 1d candles too just to be sure. And naturally leveraged trading is a problem for me.

I have been personally medicating my adhd to not to be so reckless, that i can keep a clear head and most of the time i try to do the exact opposite that my feelings are telling me. Just because i know that the whole game is rigged against my feelings, and markets usually act the exact opposite of how i feel of them.

I admit that some of you might not see some these options as problems in crypto trading, and sometimes aping in is a way to make the big bucks.

TLDR; i guess i wanted to ask that have you guys learned any lifehacks to overcome your weaknesses?
415  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you guys think about MOVIE-TV politics?? on: January 17, 2021, 11:29:04 PM
Watched the El Chapo Series on Netflix. Great series! But lots of times I felt throwing up when they showing the gay couple making out for minutes. I mean ok we are tolerant we accept any living form blah... But cmon I dont have to see that in almost every episode. We got it.

But yeah, that's the world we are heading to. That's how they are programming the masses. The globalists/deep state aiming for a one world state. And that's how they prepare us. It always was through TV and news. Even though it might take another 50 years, they start from the kids. While they also try to program people that child abuse is no big deal. See al the series and stuff coming out last couple years. At the end most of our leaders and the ultra rich are pedophiles.

So don't watch films/series where people are making out if it's making you uncomfortable. What's the big deal?

And who exactly is programming you? Maybe you should look at the mirror if some random poorly paid script writer can program your opinions trough a bad tv show.
416  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "Hidden" shills on: January 16, 2021, 11:27:43 PM
Paid shills are annoying as hell and something should be done with them but i am worried that this situation just goes worse as the altseason heats up. They aren't a new thing and pretty much an open secret that some of the teams pay for "guerrilla advertising" like that.

And it doesn't end in here. They are using Reddit, youtube, rating sites, telegram channes facebook, twitter... They keep spamming in pretty much everywhere they are seen.

How low do you think the btc dividends go before they start to rise again with the burning effect?

We have almost mined half bfg soon, so we have half to go, meaning there will be -50% dividends at the end of this because of dilution unless they find more active players. And btc probably peaks before all the BFG tokens are mined (4 year cycles). And we have to count the possibility that btc will rise a lot.

My guess is that players will keep playing same amounts in dollars but less in bitcoins and rising altcoins. What do you guys think?

You can buy without problems at HitBTC. Deposits and withdrawals work well.
I think the only two reasons to delist it from Bittrex are: Poor implementation of use cases or poor reception by community and limited trading volume on the exchange or potentially suspicious trading activity.
Anyway, Bittrex is not the only exchange that exists in the market.
The problem lies in liquidity. The team does not contribute BTCs and all centralized exchanges work with market makers (now they do not make money)
that there is no liquidity now does not mean that there will not be in the future the same way for use cases.

Thanks for the info, and you are right. For some reason there's not even decent (pun intended) sell wall. People aren't really buying or selling. I wonder what i should make of that.
