641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum's supply cannot be verified on: August 12, 2020, 05:11:06 PM
I don't see any issue here. Luckily this time i am more prepared to understand what's fud and what's not. Last time i sold my eth when it was 10 bucks or something like that because it was "overpriced" and would never work. I totally bought the fud back then. I am guessing some people will buy this fud and sell their eth.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This beach resort is accepting Ethereum!!! on: August 12, 2020, 03:52:20 PM
Accepting eth right now even if you don't believe in the tech is a good business idea, because you can always turn them back to fiat if you want and you will lure potentially rich customers who want to use cryptos as payment.
643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I use unconfirmed funds? on: August 12, 2020, 07:11:14 AM
Technically you can but first transaction needs to be confirmed before the second and you need to pay attention to paying enough fees if you are making a long chain of these, otherwise it will take time or whole chain doesn't get confirmed at all.

645  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do exchanges get away with faking trade volume? on: August 09, 2020, 05:00:15 PM
This will change in some time. Right now regulators are just catching up with this wild west and we really don't care about wash trading enough to even avoid such exchanges. It's like an open secret, almost everyone has been doing all along it but we have focused on exit scams / ico scams and stuff like that.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trx or Eth ? on: August 09, 2020, 04:49:36 PM
Both of them have a lot of dapps and they could both go to the sky.
Vitalik and Justin work hard to make their coins better too so i am not sure which one could be better in the future. What do You think about this ?

My money is on Eth. It has got the best developers and not to mention there are a lot of less them with trx. If you are looking at the price, Trx has a way smaller marketcap and technically it would have more room to rise as well. But when you factor in the use cases, i see ETH having way more potential and new markets. But maybe i am biased i have no trust with trx what so ever.
647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dead by 2106 on: August 09, 2020, 04:44:23 PM
Honestly, we have no idea what kind of technical revolutions there will be in 2040 and this is easy to fix. And almost all in here will be dead by 2106 anyway so i don't think this
should be a major concern us at all.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best place to find new low cap projects? on: August 07, 2020, 09:37:40 PM
In coinmarketcap you can filter the marketcap size to you liking (like 5m to 500t). That's what i am using to find them anyway, but i am looking for older ones. Brand new ones aren't necessarily listed in cmc if you are looking for those.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do scams harm Bitcoin's reputation in the mainstream world? on: August 07, 2020, 09:32:35 PM
Yes, but mostly because people don't understand Bitcoin. To some it's an internet magic money and they already know that internet is full of scams. It's just one more to these people. I was pleasantly surprised that twitter hack didn't do more damage to bitcoin. I was sure it would be dealt as a "bitcoin hack" in the media, but people didn't seem to agree with the headlines. They seemed to understand that it had everything to do with the twitter and less with bitcoin.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beirut explosion - Lesson to learn from this. on: August 06, 2020, 07:42:40 PM
So, as i am keeping half of my bitcoin in exchanges, i should be good. Naturally they can be hacked but apparently there is a possibility of a huge explosion as well so i rather trust experts to keep my coins safe. Not to mention that i think they (big exchanges) have insurance to cover an attack.
651  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Google Advertises Uniswap Phishing Scams on: August 06, 2020, 07:05:44 PM
Google should hire more crypto-savvy people to weed out these scams. For someone who haven't even heard about uniswap it's nearly impossible to distinguish scam from a real thing without people reporting them.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $ENJ still in besrish mode on: August 06, 2020, 06:04:57 PM

... wonderful project with the most dedicated team in blockchain...
*cut*

Enjin is a cool project but everyone always thinks that their favourite team works hardest and is the most decicated one. Truth is that there are often several projects out there having more talented team and better work ethics. I have liked ENJ from the first time i got what they are doing, and it seems like they are just starting in terms of the bull run.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will DeFi help ethereum reach it's old 4 figure value? on: August 06, 2020, 05:58:05 PM
It's just a buzz word, and could be done in several blockchains. Eth2.0 how ever would do the trick. But Eth is now just too expensive to use and i see pretty pointless to operate any businesses in an open blockchain.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not fall for all DeFi HYPES on: August 04, 2020, 08:50:45 PM
I feel kinda bad i wasn't on DeFi train and i think it's fading soon so i can't really cash with that. I guess i focus on my current bags even though they are running late to this bull market. One of them is even defi but haven't being picked up by bulls yet.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Brave browser reaches 16.7 million monthly active users. on: August 04, 2020, 07:14:44 PM
I haven't tried to get any reward "bat" tokens with it. I rather buy them as they are dirt cheap compared to what you get by browsing. I just use it because it's awesome and fast. Perfect for my phone too.

657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Stephen Wolfram" says bitcoin creator is known classified material on: August 04, 2020, 07:17:34 AM
he gives a five minutes answer and at the end of his answer [timestamp: 44m] he implies that bitcoin's creator is classified material known to Science and/or secret services.

Did you actually listen to this video? Video doesn't implicate anything like this. I don't even know how did you get to make that leap. Yeah, there are trade secrets and governments have tried to keep some encryption technologies secret, but there's not even a hint in this video about the things you claim.

659  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russian Court: Theft Of 100 BTC Isn’t A Crime Because Bitcoin Isn’t Property on: July 05, 2020, 08:36:34 PM
I'm sure there are Russian owned and operated exchanges. If they're sensible they would not be running them in Russia. Then again this might act as a wonderful incentive to bring some 'business' home.

Yobit is an eternal mystery. They've probably leased a secret Mir and hide in space.

Their servers and domains are based in the US and Panama so even though they're still subject to Russian law, the website itself is out of reach for them so they can't really seize it or anything.

Yeah but we weren't talking about government seizing it. That just means they can now exit scam any time they want without any legal ramifications.
660  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russian Court: Theft Of 100 BTC Isn’t A Crime Because Bitcoin Isn’t Property on: July 03, 2020, 04:20:44 PM
Are there any exchanges in Russia at all?
---

Yobit? Yeah i know... i avoid it at all costs, but surely there are even more sketchy ones in there. No wonder they aren't interested in KYC or anything like that.
