401  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does coinbase exchange have no fees for non-instant orders? on: December 26, 2015, 12:10:40 PM
At times of great volatility, Coinbase fixes the margins to stay at profit. I've seen price differences be as big at 5%.
402  Economy / Services / Re: Get 40000 satoshi Everytime for completing simple task Unlimited Earnings on: December 26, 2015, 12:04:28 PM
Aren't there bitcoin withdrawals implemented? I think such a service would benefit from bitcoin. I'd like to check it out though. consider PMing me OP.
403  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen if there's no price rise for the halfing? on: December 26, 2015, 11:56:12 AM
IMO it's possible that the halving is almost is probably going to have no positive effect on the price at the moment it hits. Sure there will be some speculation by traders and such but the price could stay the same as long as the miners find another way to sustain their activity. It's likely that many miners will be unplugged so they can reduce losses after the halving.
404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Do you prefer your money to be in cash or bitcoins? on: December 26, 2015, 11:39:30 AM
Living in a country that is blocked by most financial services at the moment, bitcoin offers me a lot of flexibility. But the volatility isn't all that great, so I prefer to always keep a cash balance, that I've sold when significant highs are reached. I sometimes trade to increase my bitcoins, not frequently though. I always try to earn more bitcoins than I spend. But since I mostly use bitcoin to buy stuff online I always feel that I need some converted to cash in order to be safe from volatility.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there a difference between buying shares in the stock exchange and gambling? on: December 26, 2015, 11:29:36 AM
Yes, most of the stock markets are regulated by government rules. But still some inside traders to do the fraud but not in all companies where as in gambling the system itself like that, one can easily lose all there money without any pain. The pain will start only after losing money.

Thing is though, people investing through a stock market won't be in danger of total loss of capital overnight (with rare exceptions) thanks to those regulations. There's no way for the stock market itself to steal the money of investors in the same way bitcoin dices and casinos are able to steal deposits without any hassle.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there a difference between buying shares in the stock exchange and gambling? on: December 26, 2015, 04:58:38 AM
I think that historically, there have been many incidents where the market makers at a stock market dissipated with customer money and nobody had the ability to prosecute them or even trace them in the first place. Also bitcoin gambling is equally regulated so I'd say it's exactly the same.

I feel you're not correct. If you invest money in some good reputed companies than you will surely get profits over the time and dividends regularly but your profit margins may not be like in gambling. But in gambling you totally depending on your luck to earn money so you can't put all you're savings in to gambling to grow your money so for me both are different.

My post was full of irony. In reality, stocks are at least secured by law and regulations. Bitcoin websites are entirely unregulated and there's currently no legislation in place to protect users. In terms of trust, stocks are much much better. Surely the profit potential isn't as great, still not that big of a risk as total loss isn't normal.
407  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] Bitcointalk Legendary forum account on: December 26, 2015, 03:09:58 AM
It's just a suggestion , You may want to provide more information's like (If you are willing to give signed message , trust which is the most important thing and also the estimated postcount) .

Thing is, there are so few Legendary accounts that if he were to provide more information it's be easy to find the account. It's generally best if the name of "to be sold" accounts remains anonymous so the transfer isn't made publicly known.

Anyway, my suggestion to OP would be to get an escrow to confirm that he owns the account.
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Roger Ver lost his fuckin' mind? on: December 26, 2015, 02:22:56 AM
Roger Ver is an idiot. He got rich for owning bitcoin early, doing absolutely nothing to earn his wealth. He only gets attention for being rich, and has never benefited the community positively. All he does is to earn more money and earn himself a reputation. He deserves the ridicule.

are you serious? he is one of the biggest bitcoin advocates in the space, he spends thousands of dollars for advertising bitcoin, he travels around the world to speak about bitcoin ("bitcoin jesus"), he donated a ton of money, he funds small companies, he runs full nodes...just to name a few things you know?  Roll Eyes

Yeah man, but that's like, your opinion. Plus it's a biased as fuck opinion, you promote content from bitcoin.com and even moderate his forum.

roger ver actually helped out alot. bitinstant opened the gateways of purchasing bitcoins in many local shops via moneygram and other means. and also helped the early arbitrage oppertunities between mtgox, btc-e, bitstamp and other exchanges/services (when mtgox was in its more legit days)

but since the regulatory issues of bitinstant roger ver took more of a back seat, yes he got crucified and became mystical presence in the background, but he doesnt seem to be a big player in the frontline of bitcoin services anymore. he seems to just cast his essence in the background.. hense why i feel he still deserves the term jesus.. not for religious reasons but because he got crucified by regulators and then hasnt really been present in real terms..

but i do agree with bruno.. someone who used to be held with alot of esteem, hanging around shady players is not doing his rep any good

BitInstant also produced the "first bitcoin felon", surely this is good for bitcoin.

every person is looking out to earn more, can't see what's wrong with that.

What's wrong with what Roger does is that he tries to portray himself as bitcoin Jesus while all he does is practice his greed. In the end, every time something he does hits the headlines it's something that would bring negative attention to bitcoin. TL;DR: Investing is OK, being pretentious about it isn't.
410  Economy / Reputation / Re: Let's do some research on Tamer Sameeh on: December 25, 2015, 05:19:30 PM
He is now throwing Doge around to promote his new site  https://redd.it/3y3clo

Yeah, that's quite funny. I wouldn't be surprised if he got banned from reddit with all that spam. Giving away pennies doesn't help.
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Roger Ver lost his fuckin' mind? on: December 25, 2015, 04:27:34 PM
Maybe it's just me being  Roger Ver hater, but his actions just keep bringing negative attention to bitcoin.

413  Economy / Reputation / Re: Let's do some research on Tamer Sameeh on: December 25, 2015, 02:38:58 PM
That comment in question was made by him using another username. He is trying to build some sort of reputation as a Bitcoin early adopter which he is not. It is ALL fake made up lies. http://imgur.com/lQtjENV

He was involved with http://www.lazycoins.com/ , https://www.linkedin.com/company/lazycoins?trk=ppro_cprof

Until recently he has always claimed to be a Doctor until confronted on r/bitcoin

He just launched a new site and created new guys the last 7 days as explained in that imgur link. It's all fake.

Why would he bash himself so much?

It seems that he is no longer associated with NewsBTC. About a week after I exposed him, he stopped publishing articles on NewsBTC as you can see here: http://www.newsbtc.com/author/tamersameeh/

His Twitter account also no longer claims any association with NewsBTC, only that he is a freelance writer and promoting this "BitcoinnewsChannel" (not going to link it) thing.

The logic behind creating sockpuppets to "attack" himself is a few things. For one, to create some kind of a "bad boy" image as someone who started early and is hated for it. It also makes the legitimate criticism of him seem less valid when it's among comments that are invalid hate based on nothing. Any controversy is good in the minds of some who just want attention.

He recently has been causing problems on the subreddit r/BitcoinMarkets where he has been defying the rules and conventions and posting unoriginal technical analysis and charting in new threads when he should be posting them in the Daily Discussion threads. Here's the latest drama he did with that: https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/3xmuko/bitcoin_price_analysis_for_december_21_2015_price/

He has a nasty habit of just causing trouble on forums while promoting his articles, and being confronted by people and getting really aggressive in response. I find it really disturbing he continues to call himself a Dr. and a pediatrician when he is not.

What's interesting is that even here, there are numerous newly created accounts that are possibly trying to act as scapegoats. It's possible that those were also created by him. It seems unlikely to me that others would obsess so much over what seems to be just a pathetic spammer.

Information about him found online should be taken with a grains of salt based on what we've seen so far. Thanks for your input.
414  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain transaction fee just got doubled on: December 25, 2015, 12:42:42 PM
Welp, that's what happens when the blockchain gets stressed with many transactions per second. Sadly bitcoin can not handle large volumes of transactions but what we're seeing now is the fee market in action handling that issue effectively. It times of stress spammers are charged more and more as they push things.

Youre excuse is SHIT. Your posts are SHIT. Your neg rep is LEGIT. Learn from this lesson and move on. Cheaters never prosper

fuck you

Take it easy man. Show some good attitude and hilariousandco might reconsider the rating, but you aren't going to get anything this way. He's right about your post quality though, why would you spam so much?

419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Incoming connections on mainnet but not testnet on: December 24, 2015, 01:15:24 PM
Do you need nodes for testing purposes? Not many people are actively using.

Last I heard about someone using the test net is was from Bitcoin XT supporters, here are some nodes from them if you're interested on that:

420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be betting on who will become the next President of the United States? on: December 24, 2015, 01:06:19 PM
I think this year's race is very interesting. Trump, Bernie and Hillary are the big names but among them Hilarry is probably the one receiving the most universal hate from all sides, despite having a decent amount of supporters. Sanders on the other hand, goes against many American principles that didn't favor socialism. They both clash with Trump though.

It'd be lovely to have a place to bet on this with bitcoins.
