401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea Tightens Bitcoin Regulations, Will ‘Punish’ ICOs: Report on: November 25, 2017, 02:15:00 PM
Well, that's good to know. And i don't think it has a huge impact on Bitcoin. There's so many scam ICOs out there. Just came out of nowhere. There's nothing wrong on that. They are just protecting people from being scammed by these scam ICOs. Actually it's an advantage to people who wants to invest on ICOs. Because ICOs will now have to comply with rules and regulations of the government. Investors will now invest with confidence because they know that any ICO that violates the regulations will be punished by law.
402  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITMAIN-ALLIANCE.COM on: November 25, 2017, 06:19:55 AM
Well, take a look at this.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kci4-M2eRU8

Better stay away from them. It's a scam. The address of the company was not real. They just made that up. Why don't you just buy at the Bitmain directly? There's another site which is trying to imitate Bitmain. It's http://bitmanusa.com/. Anyway, the domain is for sale. So it was disposed by the scammer after they scammed several clients.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Qualifiers on: November 25, 2017, 12:04:23 AM
Wow that roadmap though until 2023, a long journey to FIBA basketball world cup. For Asian qualifiers, i'm pretty sure China will qualify easily on group A and group B will be interesting Australia and Philippines are good on basketball too. USA also will easily qualified to the next round.

China is powerhouse team. But don't underestimate the greatness of Korea. Remember, they beat Philppines many times. So there's a chance that they can beat China. Philippines just beat Japan yesterday and all i can say is, they played. Though i hate the coach for not choosing good players. Australia is a good team. I don't think Philippines can match their lineups. They are way too tall and athletic than Philippine lineup. But Gilas players have heart of warriors. Anyway, USA is the world champion. No need to join the qualifiers. Im sure they will pick elite players to represent at tge world stage. It's only America's have qualifiers. The system is fine. Away and home matches are fair. This should have implemented long time ago.
404  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex verification issues on: November 24, 2017, 10:59:42 PM
There's so many problems that Bittrex is facing right now. Usually verification of  IDs there is only takes 10-15 minutes only. I have signed there and upgraded my account to enhanced account. But it's rare that it can take a week just to verify your ID. Did you uploaded a clear and quality pictures of your ID? If still they can't verify your account. Then try different exchange. Binance is a good one. I've benn using this and so far, so good. Also you don't have to verify your account to trade because it's like Poloniex. Unverified account has withdrawal limit. But unlike Poloniex, it's withdrawal limit is way too high than Poloniex. Because 2 btc is the maximum limit for unverified account on Binance. While Poloniex only has limit of $2000 for unverified account.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin will FAIL on: November 24, 2017, 03:13:13 PM
Dogecoin is long time dead coin. I don't even know why people still buy this altcoin. I always doubt whenever this altcoin is getting pumped up. It's might be another pump and dump scenario. One thing i don't really like about this project. It's supply. It has very huge supply. Adding another billions to overall supply every year is ridiculous. It is not gonna attract investors. That's why the price is stucked and never grow. Aside from that, the dev team is no longer active. I can't even see any updates about this altcoin. I think they abandoned this project.

For me, better stay away with this altcoin. It's only a pump and dump altcoin. I still wonder why it's not delisted at Poloniex.
406  Economy / Economics / Re: Value of bitcoin on: November 24, 2017, 02:32:02 PM
Nope. Cash still what people preferred since it's a fast and easy to use than Bitcoin. Bitcoin uses technology. Electricity, devices and internet in able to use. Bitcoin is useless without these. But i believe it couod be develop more. But it will take time to develop. For me, Bitcoin is only a good form of investment. It cannot replace cash because there's so many disadvantages using Bitcoin as a real currency. Fees for example. Are you willing to buy something with extra fees to pay? Fees are now very high. $10-$12 per transactions. That's high for average people like me. Aside from that. The wauting time to receive bitcoin. Sometimes, even if you pay higher than normal fee. Sometimes, it takes some time to confirm. Cash is still the best.
407  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-24-17] The Curious Case of the New ‘Dragonmint Bitcoin Miner on: November 24, 2017, 02:13:24 PM
The Curious Case of the New ‘Dragonmint Bitcoin Miner

According to reports from a few news outlets, social media platforms and online forums a new bitcoin mining rig called the “Dragonmint” is joining the bitcoin mining environment in 2018. The machine’s creators claim the device is 30 percent more efficient than current ASIC models on the market.

A New Mining Company and ASIC Device Planned for 2018 Claims to be 30% More Efficient Than Current Market Competitors

In 2017 there’s been a lot of talk about new mining technology and powerful chips below the 16nm standard, but really no show. The 16nm semiconductor fabrication utilized within the Bitmain Antminer S9 and the Avalon Miner 741, are still currently two of the best performing machines on the market. The Japanese company GMO Internet plans to produce 7nm semiconductor chips for bitcoin mining soon.

Now the Dragonmint 16T miner produced by the firm Halong Mining is calling itself “the world’s most efficient Bitcoin miner,” even though it has yet to be sold on the open market. According to a report written by the journalist, Aaron van Wirdum, the Dragonmint miner boasts “newly designed chips” and is “30 percent more energy efficient” than the Antminer S9. The Dragonmint development team claims the model’s hash power produces around 16 THS.

In that report, the project is said to run by the pseudonymous bitcoin developer, Btcdrak, who says he wants to bring more “competition” to the mining rig manufacturing environment. On the company’s website, the new chip technology claims to be based on DM8575 ASIC chips which achieve 85 GHS per chip, alongside 0.075 J/GHS of power efficiency. The company details the miner is the “first step in a long strategy” which began in 2016. Over 100 experts helped with the project, explains Halong Mining, including software developers and chip designers.

“The project is motivated by, and driven to help facilitate greater decentralisation in Bitcoin mining at all levels, and make sha256 great again"

Blockstream CEO Tweets About Halong Mining but Satoshi Labs Executives Want No Associations

There’s not much about the company online except yesterday’s burst of social media shares, articles, and forum posts. When the announcement first came out, people assumed the project might be sketchy as it looks like a photoshopped version of the S9. Unfortunately, the bitcoin community is plagued by these types of phony miner companies who use pictures of miners produced by other businesses. However, on the same day the Blockstream CEO, Adam Back vouched for the company’s miner using his Twitter feed.

“Jan Čapek is CEO of Slush pool, the first and longest-running bitcoin mining pool — They took the video demoing a Dragonmint miner. Marek “Slush” Palatinus, and Pavol Rusnak seen above,” Adam Back tells his Twitter followers.

However, the IT Architect of Satoshi Labs, Marek Palatinus, didn’t appreciate being associated with Halong Mining in Back’s tweet. “Me, Trezor or Slush Pool or any other people mentioned in the tweet are NOT anyhow related to Halong Mining,” emphasizes Palatinus to the Blockstream CEO. Palatinus then asks Back to remove the tweet, and Trezor CTO Pavol Rusnak also tells him to delete the tweets tags.

“Please remove me from your tweet, I was not present during the filming,” Rusnak exclaims.

Adam Back then apologizes for his tweets by saying, “Jan Čapek demoed a unit — That is it — Halong Mining is a separate company and unrelated to Slush or Trezor companies — Sorry for the confusion if people inferred more by tagging.”

Shipping in March 2018

Besides the announcement and Adam Back suddenly vouching for a new mining company the price of the Dragonmint 16T is $1,595 USD but you have to purchase a batch of five or more. The company also sells a 1600W power supply unit (PSU) and state that both the PSU and Dragonmint’s will not ship until March 2018.

New ASIC miner that is 30% more efficient than competitors in the market. That's fantastic. I wonder what could be the price of this when it released in the market. What do you think about this guys?
408  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin is Officially illeagal in Morocco on: November 22, 2017, 01:02:07 PM
That's unfortunate. Lucky for me, im not one of the citizen there. Im free to buy and sell Bitcoin whenever i want to. Morroco is not a huge player for cryptocurrencies as far as i know. It's just a small percentage. We should be worried if Japan, US, Korea, China declared ban on cryptocurrencies at their territories. That's an annihilation to the cryptoworld because they are the biggest player of cryptocurrencies around the world. Also some other countries may influence them to follow the same steps also. Guess Morocco government is threatened by Bitcoin. Because it could destroy their banking system. Anyway, their decision is too much. They don't have the capability to regulate Bitcoin. Why don't just follow what other countries do? AML/KYC.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any way to make free money without airdrop? on: November 22, 2017, 12:42:31 PM
I believe there is none. You have to invest or work for it. Like Bitcoin for example. In able to get bitcoin hardfork coins. You have to buy bitcoin first in able to obtain airdrop came from bitcoin hardfork. There's no such thing as free money unless you beg for it. Actually, airdrops is not a free money at all. You have to participate activities that they are requiring you to do in able to get airdrop tokens. Means, you still have to work for it. There's no difference from usual bounty programs here. But i don't trust airdrops and no plans to join any of them.

Anyway, there are many ways to earn here. There are so many Bounty programs here which you can earn money. Just pick which one suits you and appropriate to your rank. Im a student also. But i work my ass here and not begging for money. So if you want to earn. Then work here. It's not that hard to find. Just go to Bounty section
410  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: blitzmining scam? on: November 22, 2017, 11:32:15 AM
It's an unknown site. I never seen this site before. So be careful dealing with this site. Holiday is coming. So there are so scammers are very active creating some sites and looking for their bait to take by gullible customers. Some of them are easy to identify because they offer out of this planet offers that are very hard to believe. Bitmain is a reputable one. Why don't you buy there? Or buy on the sites that has a  buyer protection system. Amazon and Ebay for example. But expect the prices are quite high because of the warranty of the products.

Before making a purchase on any products on an unknown site. Make sure you look for reviews about the site before purchasing a product since you don't know the site. Some of them are newly created. So it's hard to search for reviews. I suggest stick to reputable one.

411  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did you start your first deal? on: November 22, 2017, 10:37:28 AM
Trading cryptocurrencies is quite hard. It needs skills and knowledge in able to give you a passive income. At my first time on trading cryptocurrencies, i only started at small amount. You know, just to experience trading. I signed up to Poloniex which is very popular back in the days. It's not that complicated since they only trade good altcoins in the market. Unlike other exchanges that listing shitcoins. My first trade was a success. But loss at the end because greed gets in to my system. So if you ever start on trading. Don't let greed control you. That's the important thing I've learned. Anyway, Bittrex is good too. But you need your account to be upgraded to enhanced account in able to trade and withdraw your funds there. Right now im using Binance because it's very useful and the maximum amount to withdraw if you are not a verified member is 2 btc. That's better than any exchanges.

Reading the forum I just realized that all the bitcoin-multipliers and high daily interest rate website are simply not real.
That's absolutely right. Don't trust any bitcoin multipliers or HYIP which offers unbelievable rates in return. Most of them are scams. So if you are trying to put your money to them. Im telling you, they are not worth of your time and money. Better stay away from them. There's a lot of ways where you can grow your bitcoins. Invest it to ICOs, Trading, lending etc. You can try trading since you can buy coins even with a small capital. It's a bit hard but it's worth a try. Lending is good too. But it requires good amount of capital before starting this kind of business.
413  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any service to pay GoDaddy with Bitcoin? on: November 18, 2017, 11:21:35 PM
There's no other way to pay godaddy with bitcoin. Unless you are using a service which you can convert bitcoin to money and credit it to your visa card. I have using one before. But they already stopped the service. Anyway, there are so many webhosting service out there which you can pay with bitcoin. Namecheap is one of the most popular webhosting out there. 414  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-11-19] Mark Karpeles Wants to Resurrect Mt Gox with an ICO on: November 18, 2017, 10:26:46 PM
Mark Karpeles Wants to Resurrect Mt Gox with an ICO

Yes, you read that right. Fallen figure Mark Karpeles wants to resurrect Mt Gox, which collapsed in 2014 with the loss of 850,000 bitcoins. He proposes using an ICO and he’d really like your help. Where else is he going to raise the required $245 million? It sounds absurd, but before you hit caps lock and head straight to the comments, take a moment to hear the man out.

Goxxed Again

When Mt Gox folded, hundreds of thousands of bitcoins went with it – customers’ bitcoins, which would today be worth billions. In the resultant fallout, Karpeles, a maverick who had once sat on the Bitcoin Foundation, was vilified. After it emerged that the former CEO could inherit a post-liquidation windfall, the knives came out and old wounds were reopened.

Mark Karpeles Wants to Resurrect Mt Gox with an ICOKarpeles may or may not be in line for a bumper payday, but whatever the outcome of the Mt Gox bankruptcy case, the Frenchman’s name will cause creditors to shudder forevermore. One might have expected Karpeles to keep his head down until the latest storm had blown over, but that’s not his style. In an astonishing and intriguing blogpost, Mark Karpeles has broken his silence to propose an audacious solution to the Mt Gox problem.

The Corpse is Still Twitching

In a lengthy blogpost, Karpeles summarizes the ongoing bankruptcy case and makes mention of Coinlab, whose separate $75 million claim he blames for delaying proceedings. (He also notes that the issue of bitcoin cash was mentioned at the last creditors’ meeting – an intriguing curveball, given that there must now be an equal number of BCH to distribute alongside the 202,000 BTC that were recovered shortly after the bankruptcy was declared.)

Karpeles then contemplates what happens once the bankruptcy proceedings have been concluded, confessing:

"I have been pondering how to proceed should I want to solve this matter myself – which sounds better than being the object of hate of thousands of people for the rest of my days.

His proposal?

"Bringing MtGox up through…new management and ownership sounds actually more and more easily done than before. This could work, joined with a solution similar to what Bitfinex did, where liabilities are covered with tokens issued to creditors.

That’s right, Karpeles just proposed bringing Mt Gox – the most maligned bitcoin exchange in history – back to life. While most people’s first reaction will be to laugh this off, it’s an idea so crazy it might just work. Token issuance wasn’t a thing back in 2014. If it had been, Mt Gox could have hypothetically picked up the pieces and carried on.

From Perdition to Redemption

Gox’s losses were several times greater than the 120,000 BTC stolen from Bitfinex last year. Given Mt Gox’s dominance in 2014, however, had the frigate foundered on and the water been bailed, there’s a chance that by now it might have been shipshape.

Mark Karpeles Wants to Resurrect Mt Gox with an ICOBut that’s all hypothetical. Back in the here and now, Karpeles’ proposal of boarding the Marie Celeste and raising her sails once more is sure to be shot down. The bitcoin world has come a long way since the Gox, Bitstamp, Btce, and Vircurex days. The Japanese exchange is a relic from a bygone era. Mark Karpeles seems undeterred however, averring: “MtGox would only need a new management team…and 245 million USD.”

Coy Karpeles

Though Mt Gox’ creditors will disagree, Mark Karpeles isn’t really a ”bad guy”. Bumbling, yes. Unfit to have custody of millions of dollars, yes. But the coy Frenchman isn’t the pantomime villain he’s been made out to be. Karpeles concludes by putting two proposals on the table: to sell the Mt Gox name to anyone willing to reanimate the zombie’s corpse, or to launch an ICO to serve the same purpose. He’s self-aware enough to admit “I wouldn’t have anything to do with MtGox anymore, which I guess most people would agree is a basic requirement” and concedes:

"In case there is not enough raised it could still be locked to be distributed to creditors, which would be better than nothing.

He then finishes: “Should anyone have 245 million USD sitting around and want to purchase MtGox, just drop me an email.”

In an AMA hosted by an ex-Gox employee, one Redditor put it best: Karpeles is “a classic neckbeard who just got lucky and won a lottery”. The man got in over his head and now, belatedly, is trying to make amends. So whaddya say: who’s for an MTG token sale?

What do you think about this guys? Do still people trust them after losing investors money?
415  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will increase to $100,000 says expert on: November 18, 2017, 01:38:26 PM
Anyone can say that. But it's hard to see the reasons why Bitcoin could hit that price? I have heard a lot of that kind statements before. Bitcoin will hit $20k blah blah. All i can say is, get use to that. Still many things like that that you'll encounter in the future. Anyway, that's good know. People are very optimistic about Bitcoin. $100k a piece is too much. It can't even reach $10k. But who knows? Only time can tell what will happen to Bitcoin after years. But remember, other governments are trying to slow down the progress of Bitcoin.

Quote
As per the report written by max keiser of RT.com. He says, the bitcoin will increase to $100,000 and only top 20 coins will remain stable.

There's no such thing as stable in cryptocurrencies. Any at the top 20 can still be replaced by a better altcoin in the future. So i disagree about his statement.
416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which is better? trading crypto or trading stocks? on: November 18, 2017, 08:15:36 AM
Trading stocks is so easy. It's very complicated. Unlike trading cryptocurrencies. It's more easier and way more profitable than trading stocks. But both job still needs a proper education about it to make it profitable especially on trading stocks. That's why some stock exchanges are offering demo accounts to train users to be aware about the system. Aside from that, at stock market, you can only create good amount of profits if you have huge capital. Unlike trading cryptocurrency. You can buy at small amounts. You could gain x2 profit in just days and less work. At stock trading. You have to be full time on that because it's should have monitored and time consuming job.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Low circulating supply? on: November 17, 2017, 12:58:02 PM
Quote
When investing do you guys take into consideration the circulating supply?

Yes, sometimes the circulating supply matters to me. Low supply seems attractive to investors.
Look at bitcoin. 21 million total supply, 11 million is on circulation. It's price is on the roof right now.
Huge supply cryptocurrencies are not gonna catch investors interest. Look at Dogecoin, billion supplies and continues to add supply every year. Look at the price. It's not moving at all. But still that depends on how good the project is. Good project means higher demand. Some good altcoins have huge supplies also. Look at XRP(ripple). Huge supply but the price is looking good.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you choose to hold Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: November 17, 2017, 12:36:47 PM
In terms of profitability. Bitcoin is way more profitable compare to Ethereum. I hope you guys got some good profit from recent dip. Ethereum is always next to bitcoin. I don't see Ethereum will surpass Bitcoin, to be honest. But it will be better to diversify your portfolio. Dont buy one crypto because once it crashes, its very hard to recover. Dont put all your eggs in one basket. That's what they are saying.

Buy both Ethereum and Bitcoin. Me, i bought some IOTA and BTC. That's all i got, for now. But im looking for other good altcoin where i can put my money. Ethereum seems good to hold for long term. I will buy some of it in the future.

419  Economy / Exchanges / Re: poloniex account security on: November 17, 2017, 08:50:01 AM
Yes, i think it's safe enough. As long as you keep your email a secret. You'll be fine. The final approval for funds to withdraw is thru your email.
But if they have the access to your poloniex account. They can mess with your funds including your coins out there. It could cause you funds to be loss also. So that's not good. So better if you change your password to prevent others from accessing your account unless you want it to be accessed by someone that you gave your account details.

But i suggest, do not share any details of your account. That the smart thing to do. It's hard to trust someone when it comes to money.
420  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coins.ph Customer Service on: November 17, 2017, 08:31:49 AM
Just wondering if there are any guys out there who recently encountered a problem on contacting their customer supports? A day ago I've cashed out just to use it personally. Knowing that the code (I use the cardless ATM option) usually arrives in mere minutes, I immediately drove to the nearest ATM in our area, but lo and behold. I stood there for a good 20 minutes but no code. Tried to resend a new code but still nothing comes in on my phone; no text, no anything, so I decided to call their hotline but no one answers.

Tried to chat them in the app but nothing.

Posted in their FB page (I created an fb account just for that) and still no response.

After standing and waiting there for an hour, finally the code arrived, and their customer support came back to me after I informed them that the problem is fixed.

For a service like them, having a live chat would be necessary, and someone should answer the damn hotline if someone is calling.

Just my two cents and a not so good experience. They've always been A+ for me but apparently their customer support team right now is pretty sloppy. Has anyone experienced the same issue lately?

Their live support sucks. It takes hours before they respond to your problems. I've encountered that too. But on different situation. I cashed out my money thru remittance. Then i enter a wrong name. I tried contacting them on their live support. But as i said, it takes hours to get the respond from them. I contacted their phone number. It's always busy. But i got lucky because they answered my call after dialling many time to their contact number. The problem solved though. I just had a bad experience at their support. That's why i always check every details before i cash out to avoid any inconvenience like that. Other than that, their service is fine. It's very useful.
