401  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: December 08, 2017, 09:32:19 PM
Is this faucet still worth playing? I see it constantly mentioned in threads asking about the best ways to earn some bitcoin on the side, but i'm entirely sold on the idea. Seems like the house edge on the "multiply btc" tab is too high...

What are your guys strats for profiting on the site?

They are legit and offer interests on the balance we have on the website. Free roll still brings me 260 sat/h since I have extra bonus. It doesn't seem much, but it's still worth 0, 04$. And as bitcoin wasn't so expensive before, I claimed more than 1000 sat/hour a few months ago.
402  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Hedge Fund Manager Just Said Bitcoin $400,000 Is Easy on: December 08, 2017, 09:22:23 PM
Everything is possible 8f bitcoin survives long enough. Its goal as a currency is to take place of fiat like usd or eur, so it will increase its value while US Dollar will decrease, so in the end we'll get one bitcoin for 400k$ and more.
403  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: December 07, 2017, 07:04:04 PM
Freeroll prize is now 14 satoshi. Will you divide satoshis into parts if bitcoin price continue growing? You have to also calculate referral comissions to freerolls and interests...

All is calculated upon bitcoin price for 200$, that determines the higher prize. The smaller prizes are then divided   by ten each time.
À simple calculation tells us that when (if) bitcoin price reaches 50k$, then the smallest reward will be 1 satoshi (worth 0, 002$).
I don't know however how it will be if price goes above 50k$, the automatic system will then reward with less than a satoshi?
404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you first know about bitcoin what was the price? on: December 07, 2017, 05:16:32 AM
Last summer, July and its dip down to 2000$ because of the fear of the upcoming BCH hard fork. Unfortunately the satoshi I've earned then were lost in gambling.
405  Economy / Speculation / Re: Christmas Gift: Bitcoin hits $12000 on: December 06, 2017, 09:42:38 PM
There will be correction, soon or later. Less than one month ago, bitcoin was sold for half its actual price. 100% raise in less than a month isn't sustainable in the long term.
What we don't know is when will the correction be, before or after end of year.

Their hard fork policy have been displayed for quite a while before segwitx2 planned fork. If the new blockchain is viable, they usually allow users to exchange new bitcoins for bitcoin core at a détermined rate, or to withdraw those new coins to another wallet.
That is supposing the new blockchain is viable. Will it be the case with the announced forks?
407  Economy / Speculation / Re: For all Europeans: BTC 10000 euro on: December 06, 2017, 09:22:52 AM
Last night bitcoin price crossed the 10k€ threshold on major exchanges places. It was imminent as price yesterday was around 9900€, very close to 10k.
This morning (Central European Time) bitcoin is around 10600€, going straight to 11k€
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin.. or mining bitcoin? on: December 05, 2017, 11:22:56 PM
Depends on your time and skills I would say. Mining don't ask so much time as it runs one once set up. But you have to invest and won't get back your investment immediately, according bitcoin price will continue to raise.
À portfolio can ask for more time and skills, especially if you want to trade. But your investment is always here and available if you need it.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to make the bitcoin price stop growing? on: December 05, 2017, 01:50:35 PM
Bitcoin price is depending on the market, how many buyers and sellers. To stop growing, the price should be regulated somehow. However bitcoin is by definition a non-regulated currency.
The only way to stop growing bitcoin price is to offer more Bitcoins than what is needed by buyers. As btc supply is limited, it's the buyers' need that has to lower.
When bitcoin won't interest people, it's price will stop growing.
410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You want to be a millionaire? if you own 0.01 btc you already are on: December 05, 2017, 12:11:59 PM
It will be indeed faster to become a millionaire for Japanese people, with a bitcoin already worth 1.3M JPY.
We may indeed reach one day the bitcoin worth 100M usd, but it will not be tomorrow, and at that time, inflation will have created much more dollars on circulation, prices of goods will be much higher than today.
So we (or our children) may be millionaires, but we (they)  will wish to be billionaires.
411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever won a prize in Freebitco.in Lottery? If yes, how much? on: December 05, 2017, 10:02:51 AM
I don't spend anything in lottery, but I get tickets from free rolls and multiply btc game. Never won any prize, although I had more than 500k tickets some weeks.
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your house for investment in btc. on: December 05, 2017, 08:17:43 AM
Don't invest money you can't afford to lose.
If the price is down, you won't be able to buy back the house you sold for Bitcoins. And if the price is really down, you won't ever be able to buy a house and will spend more than 2 months in the street.

414  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin = $1 Million by 2020 on: December 04, 2017, 04:06:41 PM
1 million dollar per bitoin in 2020 means it has to increase by 1000% every year. Already done for 2017, but it has to go up with same speed the two next years to reach 100k$ by end 2018 and 1M$ in 2020. Not sustainable in my opinion, the need for bitcoin won't increase that much in the next two years.
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Will BTC Faucets Deal With A $50,000 Bitcoin Price? on: December 04, 2017, 01:45:22 PM
Many faucets have their rewards calculated upon usd/btc current price. For example Freebitco.in has their biggest reward calculated as the equivalent of $200, and then lower rewards are divided by 10 each line, the smaller is worth 0.2 cents or 0.002$.
If a bitcoin is worth 50 k$, biggest reward will be 0.004 and smallest reward will be 4 satoshi.

With their scheme, they can offer a reward for every user until bitcoin price reaches 200k$. A that time, smallest reward will be 1 satoshi, equivalent of 0.2 cents.
416  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: December 04, 2017, 10:53:28 AM

I'm still experimenting with my adapted Martingale. One trick I recently started using to avoid dangerously long streaks is watching the rolled numbers and try to predict a pattern. Usually it;s not easy, but a few times, you could detect a recognizable pattern. Example: if you roll the following sequence of numbers:
13503
24679
39573
45012
You can bet almost safely that the next roll would be higher than 50000

Another example of a recognizable pattern is something like:
49321
51893
46061
54021
32023
You can bet almost safely that the next would be above 6000

Then again, the problem with these patterns is that you never know when they change and switch to another pattern or just another totally irrelevant random number  Roll Eyes

BTW, a nice technique not to lose your cool is stick to a certain daily percentage increase in balance. I carefully increase my balance about by 10% every day. It takes me about 1-2 hours every day, but I just calculated that in if I keep compounding it, I will break even (make up my lost BTC) between 80 and 81 days from today

I don't understand how you can have 5-digit numbers where the game only draws from 0 to 10000.
As said above, it's random, there's no "bet almost safely" possibilities in gambling.
417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Not Buy Christmas Presents!! on: December 04, 2017, 10:39:07 AM
Well, what's the most expensive? A $500 bag or a divorce?
418  Economy / Speculation / Re: For all Europeans: BTC 10000 euro on: December 03, 2017, 02:46:11 PM
Actually, major exchanges place are still under 10k€. Kraken and Bitstamp are around 9500€/Btc, Coinbase is a little higher, around 9700€. I'm mainly following prices in € and the 10k threshold isn't passed yet on major exchanges (at least those I know).
It'll come soon, I think, but not today.
419  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: seller.aws.ec2 scammer on: December 03, 2017, 02:17:09 PM
I'm sorry for your loss.
By the way, I'm afraid the next person will do as you did, first trade with scammers on goods>digital goods section, then will come here because he's been scammed. We need a pinned warning thread on top of each Marketplace subsection.
Don't forget that any locked or self-moderated thread is probably a scammer's thread.
Always check seller's trust too before a trade. If you're not sure about his trust, ask if he minds using an escrow.
420  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware JAAC giftcards is a scam on: December 03, 2017, 09:09:06 AM
There should be a pinned thread on top of every goods subsection with link to this section and warnings about self moderated and locked threads. Here no one comes, certainly not newbies.
Trust system should be explained as well, because half of the forum (if no more) doesn't know how to check someone's trust.

Correct  ... and they still wouldn't read a pinned message!  Cheesy

Some may read it though, if properly pinned at the top of every "goods" subsections. Actually there's nothing, and warning threads are here, in "scam accusations" as a subforum of "Trading discussion", far from the marketplace>Goods section where scammers are propagating like plague.
