Secondly, the modern human is at most 50,000 years old, while the universe filled with stars and planets is 13,800,000,000 years old.
Thirdly; the whole god concept did not exist before modern man evolved from the apes.
Or do/did apes also have a god concept???

My statement still holds true regardless of your ideas and opinions. Here, I'll make it easier to understand:
We are no closer to proving god than 1000 years ago. FACT.
We are no closer to disproving god than 1000 years ago. FACT.
No evidence exists in favor of god, same as 1000 years ago. FACT.
No evidence exists not in favor of god, same as 1000 years ago. FACT.
You just don't get it do you? Religion/God works because it is a faith.
There's not meant to be any evidence/proof. That's the whole point..
C'mon, I'm not even religious but I still "get" how it operates.
But the reverse is true as well. We are no closer to disproving God, either. However, the more modern science gets, the more it disproves evolution. Evolution has been disproven thousands of times since Darwin. Yet nobody has disproven God. Study the books. You will see that ALL evolution is based on scientists saying wording like, "maybe it happened this way." The religion of evolution is one of the saddest religions around, even as its followers are some of the greatest believers in their religion. |

Back in July it was 89 degrees on a friday afternoon the phone rang, I was hot sweating and tired after a long day. i picked up the phone and looked at the caller I.D. it showed the caller as "Unknown" as i do with all calls that aren't listed on my I.D. i quickly hit END it stopped the ringer from making anymore noise.
Later that day i just got back from Wal-Mart, had to pick up some tissue and some cat food for my 3 year old tabby. She gets grumpy when she doesn't get fed just like me. I popped open a can of Whitefish platter for her and sat down at my small kitchen table with a nice cold beer. I'm trying to relax and Slowly recoup after a day at the mill. Tabby finished her meal and ran off no doubt to take a nap on my bed as usual. (Sounds like something i would like to do) The phone rang again and i picked it up once again looking at the I.D. Once again it showed "Unknown" quick as i seen it i clicked "End" to stop the noise from ruining my afternoon. I sipped my Cold beer and went into the living room and started to watch some T.V. Switching channels i finally stopped on a gameshow. (You know the kind,Looks simple as hell but you couldn't do it on a dare)
My body jumped as i woke up realizing i had slept through the show and i fell asleep for nearly 45 minutes. I caught my senses and took a sip of beer and the phone rang again. Thinking to myself who could be calling this late at night i once again looked at the I.D. once again it said "Unknown" Hit End and it stopped. Fucking bill collectors calling this late at night. (I Said to myself)
I just about dragged my ass upstairs with no energy i pulled back the blankets and crawled into bed, Tabby right there trying to get under the blankets with me. she never could sleep alone. she always wanted to be close to me. Damn cat!
In the morning, Woke up slightly confused and thought today was payday (Thursday) when in fact it was Wednesday. Made plans to go to the store and get my weekly steak after work then i realized the date when the weather forecaster shit on my parade and announced it was wednesday. I could have choked him if i got my hands on him! He has a lot of balls taking my steak dinner away from me...I smiled when i realized how much i miscalculated what day it was and looking forward to my Medium Rare steak.
My job is unrewarding and i pack aluminum after it has been anodized (basically taking shiny aluminum and making it dull) I pick up piece after piece packing it wrapped i paper and putting into a box 10 hours a day 50 hours a week with no thanks. Wednesday is no different from thursday with the exception of a paycheck on thursday.
wednesday was pretty much routine i'm packing metal and wrapp..(Intterupted) Police came to the floor came walking over to me asked me if i was David Brown?? I said yes, but i paid my fine last month (referring to my speeding ticket).
the officer didn't budge with his facial expression he said you need to come with us. My mind had started racing as i walked with the officer as to what laws i may have broken......I couldn't think of anything at all!! It was driving me crazy!
We got to the police station and i followed the officer into a small room. My heart started racing as i seen a table with a form on it it in the shape of a person. The room was cold and the smell was indescribable.(smelled like old meat) The officer asked do you have family members? I answered yes! I have a sister why? (My mind was already racing and it wasn't good) The officer said is her name Jessica? Yes Jessica is my sister as tears poured from my eyes.
The officer said We have a person matching your sisters description we need you to I.D. her. My body collapsed and i hit the floor. I woke up and it felt like hours later when it was only seconds later. the officer asked me if i was ok and if i could continue. I almost couldn't answer but i replied yes. The officer pulled back the sheet.....I became sick i started throwing up and fell to my knees. Jessica was laying there on the table with holes in her and she was grey.
Several officers carried me...No, almost dragging my limp body out of the room. My sister laid on the table lifeless. I sat in a chair slumped on the table with a full cup of coffee in front of me that the officers gave me. Questions were being asked and it sounded like a drunken vision nothing made sense...Their words were merging and i couldn't make out the meanings. It seemed like hours of noise. The officers brought me home and i stumbled into the house. I climbed the stairs and crawled into bed. Tabby (like clockwork) crawled into bed with me and for some reason started to rub her face on mine. This was the only comfort i found after this whole ordeal.
In the morning two detectives woke me up with loud knocking on my door. I offered them to come in after they showed their badges and said their names. I never caught their names i was in a zombie state. the detectives began questioning me about a guy named Steve. Yes , i know Steve that is jessicas boyfriend. They asked does he drive a 2012 Ford escort? I said yes it's grey. They then told me that Steve had come home got into an argument with Jessica (According to neighbors and loud arguments) Steve was seen forcing Jessica into the car around 3 P.M. Friday afternoon. They claimed witnesses seen the car speed off. They say they traced Jessicas Cellphones using Celltowers to locate the (Rough) area where the signals where being broadcasted to find the car and Jessicas body in the trunk. They Claim jessicas last 3 phone calls were to your number and they explained that because she was in the trunk of the car the cell phone tower picked up the signals for relay but could not identify the caller.
Jessica had been stabbed over 14 times by her abusive Boyfriend and tried to call me 3 times from the trunk of the car until her phone died. I love you jessica! I will never ignore another call!

You do realise that the discussion going on in this thread has been discussed over and over and over for thousands of years? No closer to any scrap of evidence or proof than we was 1000 years ago, and no further from any scrap of evidence or proof than we will be 1000 years from now. This applies to both sides of the argument.You do realise that don't you? Wrong! The machine nature of our universe has been recognized for thousands of years, even though it hasn't been said like this very often. Everyone knows that machines have makers. Cars and televisions don't simply jump into existence by themselves. Everyone has recognized God through the evidence of nature and the universe. Modern science has proven more than ever the machine quality of our universe. Some people, for whatever stupid reason, decide that they are going to set aside the overwhelming evidence of the machine quality of nature, so that they can make a level field to let the stupidity of what they call evolution theory enter. What this boils down to is politics. It is political propaganda, just like organized religion is political propaganda to a great extent in some areas. Political propaganda exists for one basic reason. It is a tool used by the few to take control of the many. |

God is not separate from us, we just forgot that we're gods. You can't understand god from a humanly perspective, but you can comprehend god, as it is who we are.
Another person's experience might suggest that we are not God. There is a place in the Psalms in the Bible that says wording similar to this, "You are gods, but you will all die like the sons of men." Jesus made reference to that passage when the priests of ancient Israel were going to execute Him for stating that He was the Son of God. We have forgotten that we are gods, just like the priests of ancient Israel did until Jesus reminded them. Just as we have forgotten this, we don't want to recognize that we are NOT THE GOD, God Almighty. God almighty is His own Self, just as we all are, individually, our own selves. |

Personally, I don't know. Conceivably, infinity is an attribute of the universe, and that it is so. Conceivably, the only way that it could be proven that the universe is NOT infinite would be to exist "outside" the universe, a thing that we really cannot conceive of. |

Oh, this is so funny. Not the serious points. Rather the fact that people want to believe certain things that seem to be impossible to others, yet they are unwilling to recognize that some of the things that they believe are considered to be impossible by those same others. For example, one person says, it is impossible for there to be a living angel inside the sun. Another says that it is impossible for evolution to have happened. If we want to start to reconcile our "beliefs," all of us first need to recognize that there is only ONE reason why life and the earth is possible. That reason is, simply, that we exist. We are here. At least it feels like it and looks like it. One of the most important things that we need to realize if we want to move on to an understanding of ourselves and the universe is, it is utterly impossible for life, and nature on the earth, and even the whole universe, to exist, according to anything that we know or understand, except that we do exist, and it all exists. Without recognizing this, all the rest of scientific investigation is meaningless, except that it moves us in the direction of understanding how impossible this universe is. That's the start towards understanding. Except there is ZERO evidence for angels living in the sun. And 100% evidence for evolution. Evolution isn't an opinion, I am so tired of people treating it as such. It is a fact. But even with the FACT of evolution, there is still room for your gods existence, one does not disprove the other, so stop refuting known facts and wasting everyone's time. Actually, there is scientific evidence. Then, there are interpretations of that evidence. Some of the interpretations suggest that the universe is billions of years old and that evolution is where people came from. Some of the interpretations of the same evidence suggests a short universal age - as short as 6,000 years - and that people simply "popped" into existence without any real evidence of where they came from. And there are other interpretations of that same evidence, as well. |

God is a fantasy. There's no one person controlling everything. The cosmos is everything in existence and it functions all on it's own. I bow to no god and no man. I simply exist in reality.
God is not a person. God is all people. You're thinking in terms of humanly logic. God is not a being, god is everything that exists. The totality of existence, that which is the universe. To ignore the existence of something, you must first acknowledge it's existence. I agree that God is existent in all people. But He also is an identity of His own, much broader that the combined entities that people are. I'm just saying that god is not one singular personified being. The highest state of god is an infinitely bright singular point of white light and infinite love, as all frequencies together create a white light. I know this because I have seen it, I have felt it and I have became it. This is the point we might have disagreement on, if we took the time to nail it down. I am saying that God IS a personified being, separate from people, while at the same time being existent, as TRUE God, inside of and as all people. How can this be? I don't have a clue. Sounds almost impossible. Yet this is, if explained and understood correctly, what I believe. The universe is infinite, there is not one humanoid being that is the only god. We are all gods, all is god. The highest form of god is a singular point of conscious light and love energy, this is universal to all of existence. In regards to other posters, aliens are gods, just as humans are. The universe is infinite, it always has been and always will. It may be hard to wrap your head around the concept of infinity, but when you see it for yourself, it all makes sense. Existence never had to be created, it just had to be. We are people. We barely have any power at all. Such things as infinity, eternity, and the universe are all inclusive. For us, that's all there are. God is greater. To God the universe is simply like another terrarium. He might have any number of terrariums. We don't know because the universe is all to us. We are hooked into the universe in ways that won't allow us to think outside the box. If we could think outside the box, the universe would include the other things that we could think, the stuff outside the box that we could think of. God is outside the box of our universe, just as he is inside it at the same time. God has given people some of the attributes of God. One such is the kind of life that people have. Another is existence in eternity one way or another. God is not limited to these or any. He is beyond understanding. |

People herd to cities because that's where the jobs are. You wanna try getting on the London tube during rush hour, you'll understand what overcrowding is. Fine and dandy. The point is, there is no overpopulation. LOL, what are you talking about? You cannot just stack people 4 high, squeeze them in and then that's it. You need infrastructure in place to support them. Our roads here in UK are at breaking point, NHS at breaking point, schools over subscribed. Plus all these extra people use more electricity, water, gas, sewers, the list is endless. We can't keep concreting over farmland. This provides our food. The problem isn't lack of land for the population. The problem is that people let their governments run them so that they can't work together to spread out to the available land. People are all worried about global warming. The truth of it is more like, if the polar caps melted, there would be a little bit of coastal land that would be lost to rising oceans. But Northern Canada, Greenland, Siberia, and Antarctica would open up to easy, fertile habitation. In addition, with extra moisture in the air, places like the Sahara Desert might become a moist, lush jungle. The problems with global warming aren't the problems. Governments are stating that they are because government people want control. Several hundred years ago people left Britain to get away from oppression. Today, the oppression is still of the same kind, but it is heightened because of the population problem THERE. Governments are doing to the people like they always did, because governments are made up of people who want to remain in control, so they can leach off the people. |

You are correct except, there is this one little point that makes you partially wrong. God is/was so powerful that He placed Himself in the body of Jesus Christ, and now God is a terrestrial at the same time He is an extraterrestrial. This is how Jesus could rise from the dead and ascend into Heaven. Jesus will return one day, and judging by the predictions that He made about the things that would be happening on earth, that day might be close. However, it is somewhat close for all of us, anyway. If we happen to live to be 100 years old, the next thing that we will see after our death, is Jesus calling us from the grave, raising us from the dead, even if it takes 10,000 more years before it happens. The time is short, for each of us individually. |

Yes, but DO be extremely careful. We don't have enough knowledge, yet, about how people naturally block the minds/spirits of alien beings or demons. And we don't know for sure what it is that contacts our minds and spirits. I think it can be shown that some people who are totally insane have been affected by spirits of aliens and demons when they weren't able to naturally block them. For some reason, they just didn't have the natural resistance that most people have. BE CAREFUL! I scanned the article. There is a lot that could be said. Part of the reason I believe the Bible is that the history of how it was written shows that it is an impossible-to-have-been-written book. At least in the way it was written, and the fact of how it has expanded to cover the world. The first, brief section of this link - http://www.everystudent.com/features/bible.html - gives a tiny start into basics of why the Bible is powerful, is more than just an impossible book. When intelligent people like Tillich start to write about the philosophy of God in ways that seem logical, I always go back to the simple evidences of the Bible itself. Would I gain much if I studied Tillich? Perhaps. But research the history of the existence of the Bible - how it came into being - and you will be amazed enough to start believing that God truly exists (if you don't already), and how He used the people of ancient Israel to spread the knowledge of Himself around the world in detail that is found nowhere else. The most important thing is the thread of salvation by Jesus, that runs throughout the whole Bible, from the third chapter in Genesis, right to the end of the whole Bible. But, Tillich is interesting. |

Look, if scientists and researchers had more than a rudimentary understanding of how things work, they would have been able to double and triple our lifespan long ago.
Let's hope not. We are overpopulated as it is. I predict within 40 years it will cost ~1BTC to have a neural scan such that your conscious mind can be entirely transferred into a simulated environment. So instead of graveyards there will be server racks, the deceased could still interact with the general web so continue posting on worldly forums from the "next life" This is an interesting idea, and has been thought about by many people. The problem is that we don't know if we would automatically tie in a person's true identity, true self, if we did this. It might totally be a simulation of that person without the person at all.
