4061  Economy / Economics / Re: New COVID strain may affect crypto valuation on: December 12, 2021, 02:06:10 PM
Long after the Covid pandemic is over (btw it's already over in numerous countries around the world but not all of them) most people will still remain pessimistic about the next potentially devastating new strain. It's how it works, the majority is always most fearful at the bottom  Undecided
most countries have not been completely free from this pandemic, even many countries that have declared themselves free from the pandemic have recently been hit by a pandemic again. in my country the spread of the covid-19 virus has begun to be controlled but the government in my country continues to enforce strict rules to anticipate waves of stages 3 and 4.

Agree but the world is getting normalize until this new variant of virus came. People now are very cautius and do practice Social Ending on which the virus still exist but we are not scared of it anymore but they are doing social distancing wearing face mask and face shield. The problem really right now is the new variant that those country that their cases drop down for months but when the new variant came it rises. Hoping that the vaccine could work on that new virus
4062  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you making money online? on: December 10, 2021, 07:35:25 AM
Of course, I make it online to increase my income, after the pandemic I have a lot of time at home and I use it for online earning, I do crypto trading, bounties and so on. In the past, when I was in college, I was often earning online by blogging and inserting Google Adsense, I was earning up to $700, after many blogs were deleted, I stopped and chose crypto.
Adsense used to be quite popular in the past, however, the blogspot trend has died now, I haven't seen any nowadays. I still see a couple of websites operating Adsense, I'm curious if it's still profitable, especially with most users now using Adblockers.

I believe it is, mostly in apps but not sure about websites, but I believe it is still profitable. Back in the day, adsense was one of the main sources of income, but as time passed, I believe that this method is no longer as effective. However, for app developers, this is one of the main sources of funds, but now there are a lot of apps and all of them are using adsense, but now people are going into investing, trading, and, most importantly, crypto.
adsense be main enemy now, people get sick if they do a thing serious than the ad pop up like hell. people will leave text about why you put many ad in this app, because its disturbing, then they walk to the other app.
actually, you cant be greedy as developer, and you must take your free app with some ad in there.

some people do crypto because of hype, im not sure they will survive because they dont want to know about the crypto past.

You have a point some developers are very greedy they are puting a lot of ads but i think that is mostly gonna happen if the app is free and we are using it so it is somewhat giving thanks  to the developer tho it is very annoying but that is their only source of income but if you see those apps that has in app purchases it is very few ads .

If you join crypto because of hype then you are right it will not last longer since you dont have knowledge only getting into the hype. Before entering in crpyto or investing on it we should have knowledge about it.
4063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot Machine Strategy? on: December 09, 2021, 05:54:56 PM
One of my best friends and I would travel to the local casino some years back from time to time.  Wasn't a very fun casino but it was about as good as we could get for those times as gambling was very restricted back then.  He was a big fan of playing slots and always seemed to have some sort of strategy.  He would look for players who were sitting at a machine for a long period of time and then play them.  There were a couple other things he did that he called "strategy" but I can't remember what they were.
~

This is a well-known strategy (at least in my country 10 years ago, maybe now something has changed in the algorithms). It is based on the fact that when the slot machine was "fed" it must "give". Therefore, some operators of gambling clubs watched slot machines and when they saw that a visitor lost a lot of money on one of the machines, they themselves began to play on it, guessing the moment when it should "give".

Oh, thank you for explaining; that is also what my friend was saying to me, but I couldn't grasp it because he wasn't sharing all of the information and was only providing hints. Right now, I don't think this would work. This has a point as well because if the person played for a lengthy amount of time, it should definitely give, but the question is how long. However, I believe that nowadays, due to technological advancements, it is extremely difficult to devise a strategy that would work, as winning this slot game is entirely dependent on luck.

4065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Financial Guard Rail ? on: December 09, 2021, 01:21:41 PM
That is why if the government or the company does not use a strict rule to limit the gamblers, that will be useless because, as you said, people will always find ways to avoid limitations. They can use their relatives, friends, or even their family to buy prepaid cards, which means they will continue playing gambling.

The important is how the government can develop awareness for those who often play gambling that the card is helpful to limit their time or deposit their money for playing gambling. But if they do not have that, it will not work at all. The card will help them to prevent addiction to gambling.

interesting, you talk as if the government is interested in helping citizens, which may be true in some cases but it's not in many others
like with lotteries, if the government cared at all they wouldn't even offer this in the 1st place
but this is a really common government monopoly specially in poor countries.

The truth is that gambling requires a significant amount of tax to be paid to the government, which is why they are so vital to them. They are, I believe, the top five tax payers in our country, and if they attempt to regulate it, the government's revenue will decrease, making regulation difficult. That is why this type of subject is extremely confidential, as the majority of us required it. I believe we should act independently because we are the only ones who will suffer and the government will only benefit us.
4066  Economy / Economics / Re: Transforming skill to profit. on: December 09, 2021, 07:13:01 AM
Simple thing that we can transforming skill to profit, if you are good at translator, there are a lot of translate bounty, you can doing it solo or maybe with your friends to get best result. In past i joined my friend to join translation campaign, then we help each other to correct the result already good or not, and then if both of us already satisfied, we submit our task to managers.

While this makes sense as a translator given the abundance of translation bounty opportunities on this forum, the issue is the competition and also how to build your reputation given the sheer volume of translators who have already established a name. I believe the thread's point is to highlight a skill, such as programming or something similar, that you can learn online or offline. Typically, we acquire these skills after graduating from college, and they serve as our primary weapon in securing a job that generates revenue.
4067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my Bitcoin when I die? on: December 09, 2021, 01:42:23 AM
actually it is not a problem if you lose your assets. because it does not affect the market. but I think it's better if your assets can be passed on to your children, and your child or wife must know your password in the future. so I think it can be useful for your assets in the future

It's going to be a major issue for your family or children because they won't know how to obtain your bitcoin and also because it's a large sum of money that could greatly benefit your family. Imagine if you were the only one earning money and feeding them when you suddenly died. What will happen to your family? They will struggle! That is why the last will and testament were created; those assets could be given to family members. Therefore, I believe it is best to inform them and also have a physical wallet available to them. It is preferable to be prepared, as we never know when we will die.
4068  Economy / Economics / Re: No where is actually safe on: December 08, 2021, 05:41:36 PM
This is very true, man. None of the investment places is safe completely. And it is normal at the same time also. Because we are living in the technology era and hackers are everywhere. Even banks can be hacked for example. When it comes to cryptocurrencies, we have the full responsibility of our funds in this market. If we don't secure our cryptos properly, the probability of their being hacked increases a lot.
Whatever it is, I don't think anyone offers a 100% safe place to invest,
the risk will always exist and that is why we must be careful and always check and also secure,
Hacking is everywhere and indeed it is a global problem

Agree that there is no such thing as a risk-free investment; any investment involves risk, but the investor's ability to manage it varies. how he can avoid it and how willing he is to risk it. You cannot succeed if you do not take risks, so we should take precautions and conduct our own research to mitigate the risk or determine how to minimize it. Since hacking occurs everywhere, we should be more cautious than ever before; there are a lot of great of tips online on how to keep your wallet secure.
4069  Economy / Speculation / Re: What make people panic sell? on: December 08, 2021, 01:07:59 PM
I believe the same thing about the hype. People are more likely to purchase something if a well-known person recommends it. A panic sell is the same as when there is breaking news about the need to sell something immediately. Another instance is when they have a pressing need to sell because they are not patient enough to hold it until the right time, or because they are extremely afraid in the small dump, in which case people will say he wants to get out because the price is dropping.
4070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Documentary 'Finding Satoshi' will investigate the origins of Satoshi Nakamoto on: December 08, 2021, 12:03:13 PM
I think I also commented before on one of these satoshi threads that actually yes, his identity and locating him or at least shedding light on his whereabouts, this is actually important but only for a sociologist and anthropologist (or crypto anthropology anyway). We cannot deny the value of finding him in this context.

But as to Bitcoin itself, the development and future, of course, Satoshi is now irrelevant.
People make research and try to use satoshi name to make fancy stories. It can help them to grow their groups, channels and so on. I don't get in other reasons to find satoshi, if I am not government.

As member of Bitcoin community, I would like to see identity of satoshi being anonymous forever. It is good and best for Bitcoin and for all.

Agree. In my opinion, Bitcoin's anonymous identity is the same as in the case of his identity. Because it is extremely difficult to track down or discover the person of interest, I believe he/she has put in a lot of effort to prepare. I believe this documentary will be interesting to watch to see who is the person of interest. I also believe it is safer to keep Satoshi's true identity hidden for security reasons, especially since this is the first time we have heard of him/her. I believe it is best to stick with the Satoshi being anonymous.
4071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain Bitcoin to Newbies on: December 08, 2021, 07:53:17 AM
Simply explain and allow them to ask a question. Bitcoin is still known to us in the same way, but the process is slightly different. When some people first heard about bitcoin, they assumed it was a high-yield investment program (HYIP). After getting scammed, they learned the truth about bitcoin. I am one of those people who got scammed and then learned the truth about bitcoin. Usually, it is just a simple question that can be answered by searching the internet, but the question is: how do you make money with bitcoin? because there are numerous methods of earning money from it. Explain to them, and then allow them to ask questions so that you can answer their questions if they arise.
4072  Economy / Economics / Re: Just because prices are high, doesn't mean that is a good investment. on: December 07, 2021, 06:15:29 PM
You investing in a coin because the price have gone up is really a bad idea most of us that have been in Cryptocurrency for a long period of time have different experience about cryptocurrency, I believe we have all seen a situation where the team of a project pump the coin there self just to attract investors and then later dump it on investor so pls don't invest in a coin because the price have gone high.
Yes, there are coins that are highly manipulated by the teams. While choosing an investment of is a must to go with a coin that grows without any external factors. There are pump and dump groups that do this. Just shatter the coin once good investment is attracted towards it. So, many things are to be noted before investing. It is good to invest on well known cryptocurrencies of the top order than unknown coins.

Yes, but there are some teams that will take your money and run. It is extremely difficult to put your trust in anything right now, unless it comes from a well-known source. Also, with regards to the price, I believe that newbie investors primarily base their decisions on the fact that if the price is high, it is a good investment rather than looking for the lowest possible price. It is preferable to look for the cheapest coin that has a promising Whitepaper and make an investment in it.
4073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: December 07, 2021, 05:30:34 PM
Well, I'm no longer speaking with SQ, to put it mildly. Specifically, I'm referring to team liquid, who received three chicken dinners and also qualified for the weekly finals! The teams right now are completely reversing those teams from previous PGCs that we could consider top teams; only a few qualified for the weekly finals, and those top teams are now at the bottom; I have no idea what is going on! But, yes, we are currently keeping an eye out for new faces in PGC.
4074  Economy / Economics / Re: What's the best advice? on: December 07, 2021, 06:19:40 AM
With the way crypto world is going now and everything is techy futuristic what advice would you give your children when growing up?

Gaming as we know it can now give you monthly payments and as a parent would you allow your kids to get into this just for the money making? To be honest kids are more good at gaming

Letting children play games and earn money is the same as killing their future, every time they will play games and of course there is no knowledge whatsoever for him to face the future, immediately stop the child playing games and earn money, teach him about all knowledge and when is an adult then let him choose.

To be honest, I believe it depends on the game. I remember a few years ago when parents were adamant about not allowing their child to play games due to the numerous negative effects, and I would have to agree. However, since the introduction of E-sports, things have changed. Some parents now teach their child to play these games in order to become professional. This is similar to actual sports, where training is required to win games; it is also true of games, where the pros are earning big money by playing games. I believe that if my child wants to play a game, I would allow him to do so unless he/she becomes addicted to it and becomes stubborn, which is another matter.
4075  Economy / Economics / Re: New COVID strain may affect crypto valuation on: December 07, 2021, 01:56:07 AM
I am observing today something similar to what happened in 2020 but at a micro-scale. The announcement of a new COVID variant that may be resistant to current vaccines has sent the Dow and the S&P down the drain, particularly airlines and other travel hospitality linked business. Zoom stocks are up, mining and raw materials down,... It looks like a repetition also in bitcoin price with a plunge that may be ongoing.

For those of you that are newer on hodling, just calm down, this is nothing new, bitcoin will be there tomorrow and, likely, rebounding after the initial collapse caused by the stop-loss orders triggering of the first days.
i haven't been in bitcoin for long but i continue to learn from experience and also the advice of those who have been in bitcoin for a long time.  bitcoin won't be at the top forever nor will it be at the bottom forever, this is the best advice I've ever gotten from one of the old members on this forum.

Nothing is permanent, but the best advice in this situation is to take advantage of the bitcoin opportunity that has been presented to you, invest until it is exhausted, and earn money while you still have the opportunity. Because we cannot predict the future, we must earn money from bitcoin while it is still in existence. I would also add that all of the coins, stocks, and foreign exchange rates are currently in the red, with a number of countries once again suspending the opening of their tourism markets.
4076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Biggest winning so far on: December 07, 2021, 01:12:48 AM

About those games, you can win with both. By being lucky and by being skilled and experienced and with the combination with all of them. But, having all of those still don't guarantee you a win.

Talking about winning, I remember when I played at coindragon. I'm not the master of gambling, and I dont have luck enough. Some people said, big bet big win. For me nope, big bet big lose. Some of games need trick to be win, but I do it all without any strategy and based on luck. the result is only 0.01 BTC and it happened when I play Dice.

Agree that dice is only based on luck but those card games needs strategy since you really need to think . In terms of strategy there are this strategy in gambling that if you lose double your bet this will lead to bigger losses , I don't know but there are still people using this strategy i think this kind of strategy needs a big amount of money since you double it after you lose.
4077  Economy / Economics / Re: In 2021 to 2022 you decide your life and wealth on: December 06, 2021, 06:04:16 PM
Not all humans want to be poor, all want to be rich or at least have enough.
but to make it happen there must be an intention in oneself to change that fate, if you want to be rich you must try and be active in making money and vice versa
In this pandemic period, the poor people really feel the effects because the unstable economic circulation makes finances uncontrolled in processing, unexpected funds always come out

Everyone agrees that no one wants to be poor, which is why people work so hard to provide enough food for their families. Being able to eat three times a day and purchase essentials is more than enough. However, when the pandemic hits really poor people, they struggle because they are working a day and that income per day would be enough for them on that day as well, so if they ever lose their job or do not work on that day, they will have no food to fall back on, which is why people are getting poorer in a pandemic situation.
4078  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin allows tax evaders, Please pay attention.... on: December 06, 2021, 04:18:18 AM
They can't use bitcoin to evade taxes, there's a public ledger that keeps track of all transactions so I don't see how they're going to be able to use it to evade taxes plus you can't move large amounts of bitcoin without a lot of people noticing so it's not going to be an easy task evading taxes using cryptocurrencies.

If you publicly announce your wallet address then yet everybody can track you but if you secretly do it then use the mixers trusted mixers to wash your transactions then maybe anyone can avoid by using this method. But if hard implementation will happen and chase those evaders then restrict mixers then maybe they can get those people hiding on cryptocurrency and oblige them to pay their taxes.

I agree, but who do you think will announce your wallet in public? Here in our country, crypto is becoming more popular, and the government is following suit. A branch of the government here in country says that if you earn money online or in crypto, you must declare it in their office and pay tax, which leads people to believe that they should not declare that they hold a crypto and should remain anonymous online. This is a type of tax evasion that is extremely difficult to detect.
4079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $550,000 gambling on sports this month on: December 06, 2021, 03:00:55 AM
Wow! The amount of money is enormous, and I cannot imagine ever winning that much money in our country. However, I believe the only way I could win this is if I were to bet on the lottery, as I do not really gamble because I am employed and do not have much spare time to go to a casino. However, congratulations on your victory, and what are your plans in light of your victory? Are you planning a vacation with your family? Purchase high-priced items? Anything you want to do with it is up to you; however, here's some sound advice: spend it wisely. Grin

^

So you should definitely avoid it because if you study online reviews about this platform you will definitely come across a lot of negative feedback about 1XBET.

I would advise to use platforms that have their own announcement threads on bitcointalk as in most cases they value their reputation (be sure to check forum user feedbacks).

Agree , the reason because most of the website now a days are getting paid to advertise the other website just to gain popularity and also have a blog that is all good reviews about the website . The best thing to do right now is really gather information from forums or other official website to see the users feedback. Unlike before that you can really rely on other website to check their reviews but now is money is money and they can paid them to advertise them. Better to go to forums and gather information
