Isa rin sa dapat mong matutunan ay ang pagiging pasensiyoso, it takes you a long way.
4062  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Panahon Na Nga Ba Maging "Cashless Society" ang Pilipinas? on: July 15, 2020, 02:45:35 AM
Ang problema kasi sa kanila ay yung pricing at yung services. Napaka mahal ng binabayad mo pero yung services nila napaka panget. For sure na experience niyo na rin mawalan o magloko yung internet niyo then kapag tinawag niyo sa customer support nila, i eentertain naman nila pero it will take a lots of days or even months para maayos yung connection.

4063  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Politicians exempt from being spied on on: July 14, 2020, 07:01:40 AM
That's because politicians and government agencies don't work for you. They work for the people your country owes money to.It's in the interest of your owners to have a profitable economy that functions in line only with their combined interests and not yours   Smiley
Isn't the politicians a citizen of that country too, also what is the meaning of no one is above the law, these surveillance is just a subtle way of controlling the masses, in the case of this one though, it is not entirely subtle, remember the time when politician throw mud at each other exposing their not so good dealings. You also said that they are working for the people then the people have a right to see what these politicians are doing.
4064  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How can we convince businesses to use blockchain tech? on: July 14, 2020, 06:17:48 AM
It's becoming increasingly popular and companies have set aside large budgets to implement Blockchain technology. It will take time however as the sector is still relatively new.
Not to be a bad news bear but in my opinion, block chain will have a very tough time when it comes to getting its way of integration in businesses, the reason is that very few people knows about cryptocurrency, to prove my poin, the number of people who does not know crypto is fairly larger than the opposite, while this may be a hard thing to overcome, this falls flat on the responsibility of business owners, they can use the upgrade as an advertisement and from that point on the chain reaction will play itself, other than that many businesses owners will not be willing to risk their asses when they are benefitting from the status quo, this is a problem because there are hard ass there that will not budge, they are few but they are influential. The other big thing will be the fiscal policies regarding cryptocurrencies which varies from country to country, I do not know much about legislations and politics but I know that when politics is corrupted and does not benefit from this then there will be a big problem.
4065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone should read this Bitcoiner's story on: July 11, 2020, 05:42:30 AM
Now this man is using Bitcoin for what it is supposed to be. Using Bitcoin to avoid the stupidly high fees countries ask for when sending money to another country, as well as using it without an identity. Being anonymous isn't a negative thing, sometimes it's more like the situation calls for it, to survive, to live, to make money or whatever the reason. Having Bitcoin is pretty nice in that kind of situation. Currently the volatility is a problem hence the block in its adoption, but once people learn of it not as an investment, it's volatility could probably be reduced to the very minimum, at the very least, you wouldn't wake up seeing your coins having only 50% of the value from what it was before you slept.
This is a testimony on how bitcoin is helping the masses by helping them with the nooks and crannies of an ever changing financial labyrinth. This is also what the government is trying to get rid off, they want their masses in tight leash and now they are slowly tearing away.
4066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My suggestion on Bitcoin adoption on: July 11, 2020, 05:06:00 AM
I know that someone already suggested about bitcoin making into universities, for me, this idea is really helpful and must be implemented as soon as possible so people will really have to study how bitcoin works and why does bitcoin exists in the market. Once we make it become included in a curriculum, in this way we will somehow improve its mass adoption as the most used cryptocurrency in the market. Those youth or students have more time to explore and experience bitcoin in their lives. Hopefully, most of the governments allow this kind of learning because it can also affect the country's economy once people are knowledgeable how market work and moves. We really lack of information and support for bitcoin and I hope this will become a way for that to grow.
If a full adoption is intended then that means that we should do it real fast because quantum computing will surely affect bitcoin, the education about bitcoin is not that important, maybe a specialization or an elective subject, in my opinion we shouldn't force the adoption but we need to move quick because there is still looming threat that might jeopardize bitcoin in the future.
4067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and tax in your countries on: July 11, 2020, 04:23:13 AM
In my country, the legality of bitcoin is hanging in a balance, the government does not care as long as they got our tax. The apps in my country does the tax deduction for the crypto that I have earned, most of the time they deduct it when we convert it into physical cash.
4068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Revolution or Evolution ? on: July 11, 2020, 03:38:42 AM
In my opinion Bitcoin revolution because it managed to make a breakthrough in the world of finance and economy, and make people change
their perspective. And this surprised many parties, especially the government and banks who were not ready to accept the presence of Bitcoin.
Why so many people began to support Bitcoin and the popularity of Bitcoin is also increasing, because of the decentralized Bitcoin that gives
freedom to control their own finances without third party interference. That is what most people want.
The breakthrough in my opinion is not something that any conventional financial institution should ever brush off, this left a remarkable dent in the industry because this is the first time that a financial paradigm is working in favor of the people, this in my opinion is still an ongoing revolution that seeks to change the way we think of financial freedom and privacy.
4069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin Must Be Inherited on: July 11, 2020, 02:30:37 AM
I think this is a very good idea, and I hope that someday there will be a crypto exchange and a crypto wallet that provides inherited features, so users will be safe and comfortable.
It is not necessary, just include your crypto details in your will and testament, that works just fine, no need for innovation when something works just fine, what might be bnetter to focus on is the insurance of your cryptocurrency in the case that they got stolen or something, like how credit card works where you can freeze the usage of it if it is involved in a fraud or it got stolen.
4070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prediction btc on: July 09, 2020, 07:10:33 AM
99% of predictions are clickbait titles for youtube or on some other social media. BTC will never reach 1M USD, 1M x 21M BTC = 21T USD market, with leverage it´s even more. Global GDP in 2019 was about 140T USD, so even with an increase of the GDP in the coming years, Bitcoin would be about a 7th or 8th of the overall market! Highly unlikely! If my calculations are wrong, please correct me!

As for today, BTC is still in this range of doom and imho will break out first to the lower end and than gain momentum to raise beyong that annyoing 10K level. My guesses are as good as anybody else though
They definitely are a clickbait, if you want to really get the gist of these correct predictions then you might as well study it yourself or find a reliable financial expert, there should be countless studies and dissertation created regarding cryptocurrency and that should help you have your resources to study these yourself.
4071  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Were the legal imitations of Facebooks plan to use the name libra discussed? on: July 08, 2020, 06:17:31 AM
If Libra is the Latin equivalent word to the English Pound, then I guess it won't fall under the royal copyright on Pound. I believe copyrights or more accurately trademarks do not cover translations in different languages.

Well, if Facebook is taken to court over the word then, as hinted by figmentofmyass, it is going to be one of their smallest legal battles.

As to the word Libra being used by scams, it has already happened a long time ago, way back when the project was still in its earliest stages.
This is nothing but a stunt for them to ride on, imagine Philippine Peso has the same name as Mexican Peso, it has the same currency but were there any copyright that have been sanctioned by both parties? This legal proceeding regarding copyright is just a farce in my honest opinion.
4072  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legality of Bitcoin cross border trading in US on: July 08, 2020, 04:43:05 AM
In my opinion that is a very good way to launder money, the way the process involves a constant change in currency is something that a money launderer would do to create a perfect monetary getaway, if you are not living in America then that will trigger some suspicion but in my opinion this is pretty sketchy. Regarding legal grounds, I do not know much but in my opinion, doing this might get you in trouble.
4073  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russian Court: Theft Of 100 BTC Isn’t A Crime Because Bitcoin Isn’t Property on: July 07, 2020, 08:30:00 AM
Well, Russia is one of the countries where-in the Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are not welcomed like the blockchain. The country wants to hit harder on cryptocurrencies and its activities by imposing strict laws and taxes. Although, the crypto geeks in Russia regardless of the laws proposed tend to carry out trade persistently.
The continuous tug of war for legality of bitcoin is very taxing for its citizen, this wavering support is giving the people a reluctant hope. The strict laws wouldn't be a thing if the legitimacy of cryptocurrency is still questionable. This is just a few cases that will be a predecessor to more albeit similar cases.
4074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin solve more problems than it creates? on: July 07, 2020, 07:34:16 AM
Everyone draws conclusions based on their situations.
This is particularly true, in my opinion, bitcoin helped me more because I found a way to earn while in quarantine, maybe with all the bad news associated with bitcoin, we can't the good thing that if offers, the scammers will always be there and there will be problems but this could be solved if we help in shouldering the burden.
4075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PAYPAL RUMOR on: July 07, 2020, 06:53:24 AM
People are getting all excited over nothing, they should actually be sad about this news. PayPal are hiring Blockchain engineers to develop their own Blockchain technology and their own token ....this token will take a major market share of people invested in Bitcoin, because it is linked to PayPal and thus more convenient for people to use. (just speculation at this stage)

Even though Bitcoin is more widely used, companies like PayPal will develop their own Crypto currency for this simple reason .. Control. They want full control over the tokens and the mining and the decisions on forks and changes... they not going to wait for months to push through a fork, whilst different groups are fighting over changes that needs to be done. (like with the BCash fork fiasco)
The speculation is very promising and worrisome at the same time, I do think that we should be happy with this news that they are integrating blockchain to their apps. This might not play out as these company might project I hope because bitcoin has been here longer and even if they create a token, it does not matter because even people from every walks of life whenasked what is cryptocurrency, they will surely speak about bitcoin, some might not and some might say but the popularity of bitcoin can't be surpassed for now.
4076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin need an addition of a safety feature? User friendly? on: July 07, 2020, 05:49:55 AM
Yes you are correct it does need some sort of management or a centralized authority only to help those people getting abused by investment scams and somehow put a stop to this investment scams once and for all. If we could manage to eliminate this then maybe people and governments could consider it and accept it as their local currency.
That in my opinion is the biggest problem of bitcoin, the assurance of the people using it are compromised because of the decentralized structure, if there is an enforcement of some kind then I think that it will be for the better. We also shouldn't let all this problem be a burden solely by people in power, do your part as an individual, if you see or detect that something is a scam report it, we all should shoulder the burden if we want a progressive bitcoin community.
4077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: July 07, 2020, 05:04:19 AM
You know the sad part about this is, people are getting tricked by their "so-called Social Media Friends" into putting in money to the Ponzi Scheme without knowing that it is one. They put more results and results, and they are enticing people to join in that scheme, and it's the "easy" money. It's going to be disastrous, and I dislike them for doing that because it's going to make a mark on cryptocurrencies again.

People should learn that there's no easy money when it comes to life, and if there is, it's probably illegal.

I have kept warning people close to me that don't join there, and you might end up losing your investment there. Inviting people there means you are just in it for their money and don't care about what will happen to their investment there.
It definitely is disastrous because most Filipinos give in to peer pressure, I do not think that this will affect the adoption though it will make a cautionary tale about the dangers of schemes that can be performed. To all Filipino in this forum, be careful because your friends might be inviting you to a scheme and they might not evn know that they are being scammed.
4078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to spend Bitcoin on: July 07, 2020, 03:51:28 AM
I usually spend my bitcoins through paying bills and buying some load for internet. There are now a lot of businesses that are now accepting cryptocurrencies because of its unique features that surpasses the current payment system.

I do not spend a lot because my goal is to increase the bitcoin that I currently have because I'm psrt of the people who believe that the price of the bitcoin will increase in the near future.
That is the only time that I spend my bitcoin too, I never given thought about things that are not that necessary, I use most of what I hold in investing because I can the profit that it gives and I think that it is worth it. This list could've been comprehensive so it can help people find what they're looking for, but it still helps.
4079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using crypto to help the homeless - (for real - with pics!) on: July 06, 2020, 06:55:01 AM
Wow. This is a good and noble cause.
The more we help people around us, the more positive we spread around ourselves and our environment, and those people whom we helped in turn spread positive changes to the outside world.

This is one big help for the people that the society neglects, be safe and prosper. If only I have the money to help you I could've but spreading the word about this I hope is enough. I will also leave an idea for other people that have the means to help, you can bait child predators that lurk in your state or city, donations are appreciated for this kind of things too, you could also do scam baiting to troll scammers like Jim Browning.
4080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They say hardware wallets are the safest on: July 06, 2020, 06:16:56 AM
You can always plug it in a different computer then your good to go, even if you use your previous computer that was compromised by a malware to steal data they wouldn't manage to steal your Crypto because an hardware wallet has a series of encryption known as private key, child key and grandchildren keys. It would be extremely difficult to guess password/bruteforce unless they have a super computer.
That is one of the advantages of hardware wallet, the problem is not the wallet itself, it is the person responsible for it, you might have the safest wallet ever but you are carefree and disregard security of your wallet then it will ultimately defeat the purpose.
