Trezor is a great proof of concept. Someone needs to buy them out and build military grade devices with full bitcoin functionality and also special use wallets. The math is secure but our devices are not.
I recently got one, they are incredible! But once again to average users they look difficult to grasp and use.

I've been wondering lately, what the market decides... Maybe the novelty has worn thin, the security issue, the app, some disastrous turns in world economies, I mean, worse than now... Many things have to come together, and maybe a low stable price is good. There's no song and dance. It's tech and finance and economics. If you aren't interested, you just ain't interested. Doesn't mean you won't use it, you just don't need to know. The killer app will seduce that consumer. BTC should go more "under the radar" and figure out a way for people to use it without realizing it. Safe and easy.
I think currently, there is no need for bitcoin in day to day lives of average people.

What are some features that bitcoin (and it's wallets) needs to implement to make it a viable alternative to fiat/credit cards?
In my opinion some new features could be: - Lower transaction times (not necessary but would be awesome if they were lowered) - High security (somehow, possibly a wallet would have to implement a way for consumers to EASILY secure their bitcoins themselves)
Swipe and go. That will really make whole lot of difference in terms of retail acceptance. If possible give an assurance that transaction will go and finalized through with just one single confirmation I think a card known as Xapo does that for you. Never tried it out though.

Remote destruction by self if stolen. So you lose all hope of getting bitcoin back, ever? Bad idea.

Is my signature fine? If it's not allowed to have additional "not-service-related ones" in signature I have to leave because this thread is definitly worth it to keep. Thanks!
As long as it is on the top!

EDIT: All these prices are the prices we have in my country.
Ahhh, so it really is a huge regional-based thing. I'm from the US, which I'm guessing plays a pretty big role. Kind of sad how fast prices have jumped. I believe a single pack here is like $6 for the absolute cheapest. I remember just 8 years ago they were like $13 a carton for decent ones. Luckily, I never smoked, but at the same time, I do understand the mental dependency on them and it sucks how fast they rise in price. And here in the US, legislation is getting more and more strict, and prices are boosting quickly as a result. tl;dr: QUIT SMOKING, :p Check out Australia, we have the highest prices, running over $20 for a pack more often than not..

1. Faster confirmation.
2. Wallets with truly random seed for address generation.
3. More merchant adoption who will do business in bitcoin, not dump in the market.
2. Wallets with truly random seed for address generation. Don't all wallets have this (the known ones at least) 3. More merchant adoption who will do business in bitcoin, not dump in the market. We must convince them for this to happen!

why transfer it? you might just create a new one and transfer the amount you need, tell your friend to transfer the amount you need
If his friend doesn't work with bitcoin before, he may have trouble doing a bitcoin transaction, or may somehow make a costly mistake. Also, he will need to tell his friend the Multibit password, and he will have to trust his friend. This would be my concern. I don't think most of my friends would be able to do it nor would I trust them to (not trust them as in steal my coins but to successfully send them). If you can't trust them with something you left behind then you have trust issues or bad friends.
