4141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know of any "Popular Online Stores Accepting Bitcoin?" on: May 01, 2017, 09:47:32 PM
A lot of things that you're able to buy though with some companies that don't right out accept Bitcoin such as Steam, Dell, Overstock, and so on you're going to have to go through leaps and bounds to ensure that you're able to buy something with Bitcoin.

Like, lets just say you wanted to buy something on Amazon for $20 with Bitcoin, you'd have to go to a place like Gifty (Or any online gift card buying place which ACCEPTS BITCOIN) buy the variants to be able to get a $20 card then activate it on Amazon.

I've never been a fan of doing something like this as it does scare me if the card was fraudulently created and would lead to my family account being suspended, but I guess there is not many alternatives at all.
4142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas redpills /r/btc loons on: May 01, 2017, 08:51:53 PM
/r/btc has become just as poisonous as /r/Bitcoin and all the other forums where Bitcoin is being discussed these days. Most of these forums are

infiltrated by paid shills from both side. I think Andreas is just as fed up with this whole situation as anyone else that frequent these platforms.

I feel sorry for the newbies that enter these poisonous grounds.  Angry

I feel bad for the newbies too, but I don't even think most of them know what's going on in the least and don't want to try to learn. It takes a lot to understand what the two scaling solutions are -- gosh let a fucking alone try to go ahead and parse through all the drama here to find out the stuff you need to know.

But yeah, I'll have to full agree with you and say that both sides have pretty much started a mud slinging money guided effort to put them in front.

Though personally, I do think Segwit is the way to go as BTU is just going to put VER and Wu in power which I think isn't the direction in the least for our decentralized bitcoin.
4143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins rising on: May 01, 2017, 07:08:23 PM
The alt coin bubble is going to end badly for people. I just hope that money flows into Bitcoin  Cheesy

Probably just going to lead to a ton of people losing out and the people that are orchestrating all the pumps are simply just going to go back to Bitcoin holding, so you'd probably be right.

Any of the people who are just simply riding off the big increases on altcoins that loses out is probably just going to forget about Cryptos forever and just go back to the Stock Market, Forex, or something along those lines. But, the popping of this bubble is going to be gross and sad for a ton, kinda  like the 2008 mortgage bubble popping.
4144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else HAVE most or maybe ALL of their money in btc/crypto? on: May 01, 2017, 04:10:48 PM
Nah, I woulodn't put that much faith into all the business relating to cryptos, I understand that some people do swear by it and say that the banks are out to get you or something but I just don't get how people could put faith in this when they know the bubble for these cryptos and Bitcoin is going to pop at some point. When is the question that we don't know the answer too.

I would advise not doing this bud, you wouldn't want to lose everything you have, banks may not make you money but you're not going to lose all of your hard earned money in a bank so -- yeah.

Good luck though, wish ya the best.
4145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Would I be able to run two diff GPUs? on: May 01, 2017, 12:53:46 PM
The computer will see you have 2 cards. The mining software you'll be using might have trouble.
You would also have to check if you have another big PCIe port, but most mobos do nowadays.

I hope you don't expect to turn a profit mining with a 3rd party and mining with a GPU.

Yeah I think I do have this and I also do think that it would fit fine in my computer at the moment, might be a little snug but it probably would be profitable.

And, I would think I'd be turning a profit as I am right now as I'd be mining altcoins on Nicehash which is pretty profitable for me at the moment -- I would say it's a nice passive income for my computer which idles.
I think my motherboard has the capacity to do it but I wanted to know if my computer would be able to see I have two different GPU's running and be able to recognize it.

Make sure ur power source have this capacity also... because GPU's are power hungry very much.
Second thing i heard many times about SLI combined 2 same GPU cards.... but two diffirent cards in one rig... never heard of it :O, you would need to choose which should 'work'.
Lot of problems i predict.

Yeah I think I'll have enough power, I'll have to check on that though. I'll also have to research on the two diff cards on my mobo, we'll see I suppose.
4146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining build, need some HELP! on: May 01, 2017, 06:24:51 AM
I hope you don't plan on mining Bitcoin with your GPUs.

Highly doubt anyone with more then 5 braincells would think that they'd be able to think that they'd be making money with any sort of GPU mining with Bitcoin, even if its some crazy top of the line card. I would think he's going to be trying some sort of Altcoin mining as that is something that is currently profitable due to the altcoin bubble growing and growing.

Goodluck though bud - Update drivers.

4147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 main mistakes of Bitcoin newbies on: May 01, 2017, 05:46:43 AM
I'd say one of the weirdest things on Bitcoin for someone that was new, and this is a story of myself at one point, was the point where you're able to set the amount of money you pay for the TX fee and you don't really know what you're doing so you may fuck this up and set it low. Unknowing to you, if you do set it low your transaction could never be confirmed and then you have to figure out how to reset it and such.

Kinda weird, though I do hope new people are using web wallets (I know less secure) as they're promoted to set payment for tx fees based on how quick they want it to go through.

Scamming is also pretty high on here relating to newbs as they're so used to using currencies that they can get back in a worst case scenario kind of thing.
4148  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump says he misses life before he became US president on: May 01, 2017, 03:21:02 AM
People don't seem to notice that this is Trump being truthful, yes I too and everyone else on here would miss the life of just being a billonaire with a real estate empire when you're now put into power into the top spot (President) in the most influential and hardworking country in the world where you're being paid a normal mans salary.

I'd be more surprised if he came out and said he didn't miss his life before this, because then you'd know he was lying. He's being honest and people have to respect that.

It's possible that he will decide to quit before his term runs out to go back to his old life. I'm sure he has lost a lot of freedom after becoming president.

He'd be a laughing stock if he did that and that's the last thing he wants, he wont resign.
4149  Other / Politics & Society / Re: More corruption in the Philippines. So what else is new? on: May 01, 2017, 02:47:46 AM
Like I have been saying Deterte isn't solving anything he's only making things worse for his people.

He needs to tackle poverty and joblessness not go around killing sick people. What a psycho. This guy makes Trump look like Mother Teresa.

The sad thing is, this is kinda how it works with leaders who are going to try radical ideas like this. No one has really tried it before so we really don't know what's going to end up happening. I think if Durante increased the wage of the police officers and other public servants then tried to do full raids against the drug monopolies and such he'd do it with more success.

Because as we know now, the police and other officials are probably just simply paid off by the drug cartels and theres nothing Durante can do without the support  of the underlyings under him. That's what tough about trying to reform and rule over a corruption riden government.

I do wish him luck though, he's trying to fight the good fight and save his country.
4150  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Israel's current existence ironic? on: May 01, 2017, 02:21:05 AM
i can't stand anti semitism. i also can't stand the criticism of israel being called anti semitism.

alot of the time they're oppressive scum. but if they weren't they'd probably be wiped out.

Sad but true, the only chance for Israel is to be tough on the people around them in an attempt to ensure that the people around them (Arab Countries) aren't trying to take advantage of them in any way. Everyone in the world knows that if Israel didn't have such a good military and military tech the Arab countries around them probably would've devoured them by this point from some bullshit religious hatred and partisan hatred from the 40's
....
Israel exterminates Arabs there because no-one is stopping them. They will keep doing it till someone hammers them down.....

Really?

By any objective measure it's Arabs who are exterminating Arabs (along with various other people-types).

Dude, if the jewish people were doing this the NEWS would make sure to point it out so something would happen. They never care about when the Arabs kill eachother though, that's just normal practice at this point.

Sad.
4151  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Unknown scattered Russian flags during his speech, Trump on: May 01, 2017, 01:24:40 AM
Your link seems a bit fucked up but I think we've seen this happen a few times at this point to Trump, at another one of his rallies or something people were handing out Russian flags to people who didn't even notice and were waving them around. Think the event was CPAC but don't fully remember at this point.

I think the people who are still on these claims of Trump and Russia are just a bunch of media shills who aren't understanding that this entire thing was fabricated by the left in an attempt to delegitimize trump as a leader so people would try to go against him.

He's no Putins little kid, holy fuck yall are dumb.
4152  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Malta Drafts Law to Promote Bitcoin on: May 01, 2017, 12:33:27 AM
Who knows if this is going to end up doing anything based on the simple fact that the EU could simply just put out some sort of rule saying that they don't condone the use of Bitcoin and malta would kinda be forced to stop whatever this rule pertains to. Though, I do think it's wonderful that people in the government there are activitely trying to promote the usage of the wonderful Blockchain AND Bitcoin, I don't think it'll ever come to law.

Think of it like this, Governments want to have control over the currency that is being used within their country. If they do this, they wouldn't have control over the money being used within their own boarders. They'd be giving it up to a decentralized community such as Bitcoin.

I just don't see a reason for a government doing this in the least, it's kinda dumb for them.
4153  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Emmanuel macron is the next President of France. on: May 01, 2017, 12:06:20 AM
Remember the US elections?

Remember, our socialist media, constantly confirming polls that showed Hillary ahead?

The silent majority are waking.

Right now, Le Pen is 28 points behind Macron as per the latest opinion polls. Even if there is a significant reverse Bradley effect (as the case with the rust belt states such as Wisconsin in the 2016 POTUS election), it will be impossible for her to overcome this margin.

We all said the same thing about Trump when placed like the Huffington post were coming out with reports that gave Trump a 1.8 percent chance of winning the Presidencey, though I do see the difference here as it is opinion polling. Trump was also down in all the polls and I simply think this was because some people were just afraid to say they were supporting Trump until they went to the voting booths and showed their support in the ballot box.

I don't know what's going to happen, but I do think that if she does lose which she has a good chance of losing I think it's going to be much closer then we expected to happen. Or at least, what the media expected to happen.
4154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ANY BTC HOLDER WORST NIGHTMARE, and it happened to me... on: April 30, 2017, 10:41:00 PM
Some people call Bitcoin a religion because so many of us are so fanatical about it. I don't like analogies but this one fits.  I repeat my password in my head 3 or 4 times a day... almost like a prayer. I am a Bitcoin fanatic.

Agreed, very few are careless or doesn't give importance in memorising their password. In my view same as quoted repeating it often could help you remember it in a easy manner. There are few cases where the retaining of the password is possible through a long process.

I know some people may not agree with me at all, but this in itself is the reason that I use an online wallet such as Bitgo or Blockchain.info. I know some people are going to say that they have access to your keys or something like this, but do you really trust that you personally would not lose the keys yourself at some point.

I use BitGo and still do have my keys somewhere in my house in a hidden place, so if I did ever need to get to them I could.

Sorry for your loss though man, pretty sad to see something like this happen and I do wish you luck in trying to find the private keys at some point. You may get lucky if we all pray for ya.
4155  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump is better than Obama? on: April 30, 2017, 09:50:40 PM
I think Obama was better than Trump because Trump is now being racist and being a bad taste in our community.

Trump isn't a racist in the least, the media and the left just made this made this up based on some of his statments to be able to try to get their paid shill Clinton in power so this is just a bunch of bullshit. Trump would've never been able to make the billions he made if he was a racist, people would've refused to work with him and for him if this was the case. Plus, he probably would've been sued left and right and lost left and right.

Gosh dude get some facts right before you go ahead and make such a claim.

I think Trump is much better than Obama based on policy and the way he isn't just a robot when it comes to speaking to people. Trump is a real normal person like the rest of us, not some normal fucking bought scum by some PAC's to be able to further their own personal agenda.
4156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Would I be able to run two diff GPUs? on: April 30, 2017, 09:19:43 PM
I'm going to start mining on the service known as Nicehash and wanted to know if it's possible for me to run two different GPU's on my motherboard, at the moment I have a GTX 1080 but wanted to know if it'd be possible for me to run something like an RX480 or something along those lines on the same motherboard.

I think my motherboard has the capacity to do it but I wanted to know if my computer would be able to see I have two different GPU's running and be able to recognize it.

Thanks for the help.
4157  Other / Politics & Society / War on the 2nd amendment is over? on: April 30, 2017, 08:43:30 PM
What does everyone here think about former President Obamas stance on guns, which some people refer to as the war on guns and gun owners. CNN just put out a piece today showing that Trump was going to rollback that everything Obama attempted to do to limit the rights of gun owners and people trying to buy guns.

Here is the article itself, pretty good read.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/28/politics/trump-nra-speech/index.html

Thank god Trump can save all us gun lovers!
4158  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The pursuit of money has negative psychological consequences on: April 30, 2017, 08:09:45 PM
like all in life need a balance, money and the pursuit of it applied to this phrase, in this modern era we need money to survive, money is a power around the world that we need to have for food, services, education, etc... but like all things, much money for one person actually have a negative result in the live of one person.

Yes, everything needs a balance. Without money, it's impossible at all, but you do not need to pursue too much money.

This is something that is always going to happen due to human greed and want for more and more, you can'y just simply tell someone to stop going ahead and trying to get money because people are never going to know when to stop and what to stop for.

Greed is a horrible thing, but you can't simply balance out human greed just by saying that people trying to get more and more money are going to have negative consequences, no one is going to care in the least.

People know money is the root of all evil, you don't see anyone doing a thing about it though, do you?

4159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be used to support terrorists? on: April 30, 2017, 06:17:07 PM
Not even a thing absolutely a big no for bitcoin , bitcoin would now support terrorist for there transaction but luckily for the terrorist bitcoin is one on the way they can use to make illegal transaction in many countries without being arrested.

No if Bitcoin was used for this it would be pretty horrid dude, it'd probably lead to people and governments just stopping the usage of Bitcoin within their countries and raiding the miners to pretty much put bitcoin on a standstill.

Back on topic here, I do think Bitcoin could be used to support pretty bad causes but this could stand true for any other currency in the world too, it's not like that supporting terroism is going to be the main point of usage for these currencies so they're not going to punish the currency for this.

So, it will be but it's like anything else.
4160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: “One Bitcoin, One House,” Nonsense or Reality? on: April 30, 2017, 04:53:16 PM
Complete nonsese, I've never been able to fully understand how people think it would be possible that the bitcoin price would increase so much and people would still be wanting to buy it for such a high price. For this to happen, the BTC price would have to come to a point where it's at something like 400-500k per bitcoin.

This would mean pretty much anyone who owned a small amount of bitcoin when it was at like 2000 and below would get a substantial amount of money from the price rising this much. ALSO, you have to think about the supply and demand here.

I don't think they'll ever be such a demand unless something insane happens to Bitcoin, it just doesn't make sense to me at the moment.
