4181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba lovers lower your expectations on: August 04, 2022, 01:50:19 PM
I want to advise you guys as a fan of shiba inu, if we are on the same path with shiba inu please make sure your long-term target is 0.005$ for Shib, and erase the mindset of Shiba getting to one dollar, I know Shiba is heavily burning down on supply but the max supply is way too big.

Shiba inu hitting 0.005$ will be a big war for the project, they need to keep expanding every year, even if shiba game and metaverse did so well this price target is still going to be not easy.

Well there are still a lot of investors who think that Shiba can make a good run even in the bear market.. I wouldn't say it's a bear market, more of  that is the target and it wasn't achieved because we suddenly enter the bearish of trend.

But who knows, maybe in the next bull run, Shiba is one of those who will make a growth that no one has expected. Or at least the hype is still there for them. And maybe if we hear some positive news about the people behind, maybe that price target can easily be hit. But I do agree that we shouldn't expect more, probably a conservative estimates, a realistic goal and not that exorbitant prediction this bear market.
4182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: August 04, 2022, 01:06:28 PM
-snip-
Based on this, it seems Lopez work out is better than Campa. All of Campa training is about how to punch just like common boxing exercise, while Lopez train his body, footwork, improving his agility and also improving his reflect. Lopez will have better experience and skills than just punching, it's very needed in modern boxing where you're not only relying about your punch power alone.
Well, it's for promotional purposes. Most of them will only show basic routines. Although it also depends on confidence, I won't be surprised if Teofimo will not care which sessions are recorded and will go for public consumption even before the fight due to his arrogance. And Teofimo is also fighting a no-named opponent and he might have underestimated Campa here. But there's also the possibility that the sessions shown are meant to mislead the other camp.

Hehehe, it seems that he hasn't change a bit though, still arrogant and brandish, specially his Father. We will hear another excsuses if he losses this one.

Latest training video of Teofimo Lopez here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SBgKqED2TU

He seems to be bulking up really nicely at 140 lbs, and I reckon he can even go at high as 147 lbs or could be walking around that weight he is not fighting.

And here is Campa: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqdecRus8fc

Gonna be intriguing fight, but it's hard not to root for Lopez here.

Campa looks good here but I don't think he'll have an edge against Lopez, Lopez happens to be the man that beat the man and he earn that title but its a very exciting fight to look forward to, Lopez needs to win this match to get into the title contention and erase people's impression on him after his loss against Kambosos, his loss against Kambosos is a big nightmare.

For sure Lopez has an edge, even I thinks that he can win this easy. But he should take this fight just like fighting Loma, very serious. He can open and talk trash as he wanted, but he needs to give us a good showing, produce something that we can say that he is really back and a solid contender in 140 lbs.
4183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul v Hasim Rahman Jr / Amanda Serrano V Brenda Carabaja co-main event Aug on: August 04, 2022, 12:31:17 PM
Uggh. So annoying. I was looking forward to this fight and it was going to be shown for free on Dazn in the UK. I wonder what sort of financial hit Jake is taking on this? Pretty shitty and stupid of Hasim not have taken this fight seriously as he's going to lose the biggest paycheck of his career and now he looks like a coward who wanted to fight on his own terms and whatever weight he felt like.

I am quite certain that it will take some future financial hits for Jake Paul as a promoter. There might not be much other fighters who would be as excited to be in one of his cards. Those other boxers have also trained hard for August 6 and have also had their expenses paid for their training.

I have a feeling though that this fight is still going to happen and it might have to be push through, just maybe a couple of weeks.

Or maybe find a replacement fighter for Rahman?

But if they fight is totally scraped for good then sure, it will have a financial toll on Jake Paul.

Agreed. This will be rescheduled to a month where Jake Paul's MVP promotion can collect more money for tickets and payperviews more easily hehehe. The skeptical me speculates that with only 2 weeks before fight night, MVP promotions might not have enough sales to pay for the cost of the event. I also agree to find a replacement figher. This was supposed to be versus Tommy Fury. I reckon Jake should challenge another MMA fighter who has no more skills, no more chin but with a known name very much similar to Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley hehehehe. However, if Jake Paul was serious on his boxing, he should challenge the fighter who knocked out Rahman.

Still boils down to money here, I doubt that he will get someone that can defeat him. Yeah, a fighter with Woodley's caliber, ex-MMA no chin, but he can still promote. Not sure if he is serious of his boxing though, as I have said, it's all about the money, and if he get someone that will beat him, then his hype will go down. Just fine a replacement fighter move forward with the fight, make millions (maybe not like the Rahman fight), but still at last a decent amount so that his MVP promotions can still continue.
4184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 04, 2022, 12:05:24 PM
Howard and Cousins could be a good back up center.
I would like to see the Suns pick up Howard for a back up role but I'm not sure if they have the cap space since resigning Ayton. I really wanna see CP3 get a ring but I doubt it happens.

In terms of defense, the Suns have it already, but even an old Howard could not stop Giannis as he really can dominate inside. Suns have to play as a team as the Warriors did, they have Booker and CP3 as their superstars but their level of consistency dropped last season.
I was thinking more of giving Ayton a chance to rest a little more often in the games and not losing much on the defensive side in doing so.
Definitely Howard can fill the defensive presence on the court, we may call him an "old Howard" but he can still do his job to help the team. But with Dwight's Howard attitude, I hope he will not destroy the good chemistry of the team, that's the only downside I see of signing him.

When he went to the Lakers with their run on the bubble, Howard wasn't a problem in and out of the court for the Lakers. Sure he still have that antics, nevertheless he has proven himself to be effective playing the center with Anthony Davis.

Same when he moved to Sixers, no issues whatsoever with him and Joel Embiid. So not sure what you mean by attitude because it seems that he has matured already and knows where to have that "good attitude" inserted. And he didn't destroy the good chemistry in Sixers, it's that he was not a perfect fit, that's the way I look at it and that's why they have given him up and Lakers pick him up again to play last season. But right now, no teams are interested on his service.

4186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predicts Bitcoin price by 2025 on: August 03, 2022, 01:23:29 PM
No one can accurately predict the price of bitcoin in 2025. However, I think bitcoin will be bullish again in the next few years if past price cycles are not any indication. For bitcoin bulls, it is closely related to a process called halving that occurs every few years so that the bitcoin price soars.

As always stated no one can really tells about the future of it, but we may get a hint on what will happen in future we only based this thing on current adoption happen and other good news which contributes on bitcoin to became a strong currency. And since history always shows that bitcoin price up we might see similar situation but the main thing here is we shouldn't expect unreal scenarios and prices so that we will not get slap on reality and lose our hard earned money for bad expectation.
Indeed, no one really predicts accurately the future. However, given the volatility of the bitcoin price, the rise and fall of the bitcoin price cannot guarantee a long-term reversal later. Although many experts predict the price of bitcoin will continue to rise in the future. Because the price of Bitcoin tends to fluctuate, it should not affect your decision to buy or start investing in bitcoin. Don't let sudden price increases change your long-term investment strategy.

We've seen the pattern already, it's like every 4 years we have a good bull run, 2017 and then 2021, and most likely 2025 will be a massive bull run too.

You don't need to be experts here, on the contrary, there are none. Everyone is just making their wild and educated guess. And if you have been here in crypto market that you have seen the bear and bull run, you will most likely will also can predict that 2025 will be very bullish for us.
4187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LUNA 2.0 is live! on: August 03, 2022, 12:18:09 PM
I've never bought LUNA in an old or new coin version, but I can feel the sadness of the big investors being crushed by Luna. Personally, deep disappointment is very difficult to heal. disappointment will haunt and mentally damaged, they will be enough not to take another step and do not want to know information about LUNA again investors
I might just buy Luna for scalping and have made $200 profit before the release of the Luna 2.0 coin, but I have to rush to take profit because the pattern of movement is changing fast. But I also regret the investors who bought Luna at $90, they must have lost high funds.

Good for you mate, and that's how we play the game, we can scalp and make money that easy, but you really have to be very fast to be able to profit like you did.

But I will have to speculate that majority of us lost the trust already and doesn't want to take that risk to invest again because of what happen. And looking at the price right now, yeah, no more push from investors. And the investigations are still on-going by the South Korean government and I doubt that Do Kwon can recover the reputation he has lost for this project.
4188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in Moderation, Pros can out weigh its Cons in Financial and Health? on: August 03, 2022, 11:15:24 AM
I really like the way various people see gambling and what they can do about it, how they take it, what it produces for them, and how day by day they can improve their strategies? however, I think that I have always characterized myself by seeing gambling as a way of having fun, and at the same time I do not feel shielded, since seeing it that way, I would not see it as a job because it is very easy to lose money and fall into addiction and that is something delicate, therefore everything that OP says is very useful, especially for novice people who enter gambling looking for impossible goals or who only give in to luck.

Yeah, gambling should be fun, we have several strategies in our sleeves and says that this might be the day that it will eventually work. But then again, we lose that day and think of another one. But if we won, they we will continue to do it the next day until it doesn't work anymore.

So that is the beauty, sometimes you think that you are one step of the game and then you are in good mood and that you are lucky. But in the end, still boils down to moderation, as it is the key to extend our playing days and so we will have enjoyment.

DeMar DeRozan signs four-year deal with Nike to become face of Kobe Bryant line.

Quote
This past spring, Nike and Vanessa Bryant came to an agreement that would see the Kobe Bryant line return to the company and resume production. On Monday, Nike also reportedly found its new face of the line in DeMar DeRozan

Really good to hear that Kobe's line will continue and for sure there is still a lot of hype around his shoes. His Kobe Grinch is still a sought items for sneaker heads and other Kobe shoes. And they made the right choice to have DeRozan carry the branding as he was close to the legend himself.

4190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you stop gamble if your girl friend insists ? on: August 03, 2022, 10:05:56 AM
Many people obey their girl friends more than anyone else.

What if their girl friend insists you to stop gambling  Huh Will you Stop  Tongue

If she became your girlfriend, for sure she should know that you are into gambling right? But in any case she didn't know, then it's going to be a big problem. Because there could be girls that might be demanding in a good way, I mean maybe she just want to get out of it even if you are not an addicted gambler. Or maybe it's just a matter of compromise, you can talk to her, explain everything and maybe you can make an agreement or something, instead of your relationship suffering.
4191  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Another KYC requirements ng coins.ph? on: August 03, 2022, 09:48:55 AM

For me, Binance P2P at gcash ang mas magandang combo kung gusto mo magcash-out or cash in.

4192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: RUIZ VS ORTIZ SUN, SEP 04, 2022 10PM ET EASTERN TIME/ on: August 01, 2022, 11:10:14 PM
This should be WBC title eliminator, and as we all know, Fury is the current belt holder, and then the former champion, Wilder is rank #1 by the organization.

So whoever wins here might have a crack on Tyson Fury (if he ever wants to fight again), or fight Wilder.

This is very important for the two boxers, and as the title of this fight, it's all or nothing, everything is on the line here, their careers, the potential big payday against Wilder or Fury.

And Ruiz is the favorite so far, at 1.2x vs 3.x on Luis Ortiz.
4193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: August 01, 2022, 10:45:45 PM
I'm confused about who to vote for, of course I don't want to give wishful thinking and Haney is really the favorite for the upcoming fight, but it's obvious that Kambosos understands this and his team will make really effective changes during the preparation for the fight.

I voted for Haney to win by decision. You will not be able to see the picks of our fellow bitcointalk boxing fans then if you will not cast your vote. Cheesy

Here is the current results of the voting, hehehe.

I get your point though. Kambosos know that he will not have a chance in this rematch if he will not make major adjustments. Kambosos have to risk everything including getting hit by solid counters because he needs to be the aggressor. And he should let his hands go by throwing combinations after combinations. Maybe Kambosos might pull the upset if he can throw combinations throughout the whole 12 rounds. He's got the work ethic so I'm pretty sure he's got the stamina. And as for Haney. He will continue to fight smart. Expect Haney to box and then hug and dance if Kambosos will throw many combinations per round.

Yes, it's just a matter of adjustment. He needs to be a volume puncher and shouldn't give Haney some spaces. And his team as well, they should give a fair assessment of the fight and tell it honest on George face. Unlike in the 1st fight wherein the corner seems to be lost as they see that George is winning. His trainer should tell if they are behind the scorecard as he see it so that he could advise George to let go of his hands. But I still go with Haney winning by maybe a majority decision, 1 judge may decide it a draw, and 2 on a very close score to Haney.

I'm sorry but I haven't tried casino's that are not in the forum or at least doesn't have a good review and reputation here. Just want to be sure that the casino that I'm going to play are not scammy platforms.

We have heard and seen platforms that scammed our members here, so I don't want to be the next victim.

Maybe there are others willing to deposit to unknown casinos and then give us the feedback, we appreciate that. But still we need to be very careful specially for small time and casual gamblers.

The WBC has ordered that a fight be made between Zepeda vs Prograis for the vacant WBC 140 lbs belt. Josh Taylor, the unified champion, decided to vacant that belt.

I initially thought that it will be Ramirez vs Zepeda for the title. But I think the winner of this fight will face Ramirez next. This is good fight, both Zepeda and Prograis are known brawlers so this is a sure fire war.

90's basketball is very physical, now it has evolved because a team who have great 3-point shooters will likely win the championship.

That is because the game is evolving each year and with each decade that has passed the coaches and players are adapting to it. Also, if the players nowadays play like in the 80s or 90s era, I reckon they won't be that effective anymore because the coaches and players these days already knows how to counter the plays in that era.

Not just basketball, every sports has only evolved since that time. That's why he is really hard to compare era's because it is very different. That's why you can here former players criticizing the way the game is being played right now. But they have to accept that as players like Steph Curry has revolutionized it, (love it or hate it). He has unlimited range, breaks Ray Allen's 3 point record to become NBA's all-time leader in 3-pointers made.

As for Chet, if I'm not mistaken, several pages back we also discussed his potential and his similarities with Durant or even Dirk. And we also said that he needs to at least gain some muscles so that he won't be bullied inside.

But if they fight is totally scraped for good then sure, it will have a financial toll on Jake Paul.

Maybe, but I doubt it. Jake wouldn't have announced it was cancelled and likely just tried to get it sorted behind the scenes as people will start collecting their refunds already. I wonder if lack of ticket and PPV sales had any impact? Hasim Just posted a video explaining why he couldn't make weight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3HketvrwGA

Yeah, but he mentioned that they have a back up fighter.

Sounds to me like he didn't have any intention of losing weight and was just trying to hardball Jake into fighting on his own terms and left it this late so Jake would be more likely to just acquiesce rather than pulling the entire fight. If you aren't willing to fight at a certain weigh then don't sign the contract.

I agree, if this is true, then it's a bitch move on Rahman, he did sign the contract, so at least honor it. If he can't make the weight then don't do it. But it looks like he has a plan after all.

I think Jake should fight Tommy next, then maybe Nate Diaz, and then depending how well he does in that either McGregor or Mayweather. I think it Jakes makes it past Tommy and Nate Connor is certainly an option.

Nate Diaz would be huge, the press conference leading to the fight will be interesting as Nate is also known to talk trash, and the timing is about right that this two square off this year.

So we are going to the Semi Finals.

TNT vs Magnolia

SMB vs Meralco.

Do we have our local betting here? I mean, a series bet would be good, especially for the TNT vs Magnolia series as both have even chance to win based on the betting odds. Anyone wants to organize?

We have our local bettings here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5403342.0. Actually it is a prediction tournament by our very own @bisdak40.

Maybe you can follow that thread and probably tail some bets as well. Specially those in the leader boards as they really know the team that much.
4200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 01, 2022, 10:34:40 AM
And as expected, based on the odds of the fight, Danny Garcia dominated Benavidez in their match by majority decision, scores where: Judges Glenn Feldman (116-112) and Anthony Paolillo (117-111), while Waleska Roldan a draw (114-114).

The power though, it seems to me that Garcia doesn't have the power he has when he was the champion at 140 and 147 lbs. I guess moving up in weight, it diminishes. But if he ever faces a hard punching Charlo at I guess Danny doesn't have a chance.

I only heard pa! pa! pa! from Benavidez earlier and it seems he doesn't have enough power to knockout Garcia even though his punches were landing earlier. though Garcia was also not strong enough to quickly end the fight, his stamina and speed are good and I think he was just not used to fighting at this high weight class and it's really hard for him to adjust that's why the fight ended up with the official's decision instead of K.O. he might be ready for another championship fight if he can improve his punches powers in one more fight before that.

I think he has a decent power, but it is not landing perfectly into Garcia's chin, but Danny has a good chin as well that's why it doesn't have the effect.

Want to mentioned though that during the post fight interview with Jim Gray, Danny cried and just like Ryan, he also suffered from the same mental issues and it took him more than a year to get back into the sports that he love and now getting his win after 20 months.
