421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Crazy week in the Bitcoin Block Size Debate on: March 07, 2016, 09:56:15 PM
This shit show is a deliberate attempt at suppressing the price prior to the halving so the big dogs can curb out the weaklings and get their last round of cheap coins. If you haven't backed the truck up yet, it's time to do so or cry later. Very few people around here can truly comprehend what an actual bull rally looks like in the midst of or in the wake of a halving. Once it's set in motion, the world will be looking to pile in as they see very little other options for growth in a worldwide downturn which hasn't been seen before in such extremes.
422  Economy / Speculation / Re: Share your Views and thought about Block halving Pump!!! on: March 07, 2016, 09:02:12 PM
Im beginning to think the block size debate is just a way to supress price before the halving.

That's exactly it. Once it's over, it will be JUST in time for the halving, and then, KA-FUCKING-BOOMSHAKALAKA
Pretty much, plus so many people that have joined here over the last few years don't realize what a real bull rally looks like in BTC-land. And that's before we even take into consideration that the global financial markets are turning upside down.

See yall in the morning.

All people are seeing with ETH is a rising number on an exchange. I'd love to see a survey of its, er, 'users' trying to break down what it actually is. That's not gonna stop it becoming a beast of course. The number one utility for the majority of crypto users is being able to sell it for more than you paid for it.

So the BTC price not doing well is like a self-fulfilling prophecy? Will it spiral down from here on?
The Accumulator just moved roughly 1.4m ETH to an exchange. What usually happens next?

Incoming bloodbath of epic proportions? Jumpstart to BTC.

Attempting to get this thread back on some sort of track

jhahahahahaha

 Cheesy Cheesy

how could it be "on track"  or "some sort of track" to bring up the LTC/BTC price?

To me, that seems to be further off track, than a blocksize/spam discussion.    Tongue Tongue
A non-LTC halving move (unlike its last bubble in price) in LTC/BTC w/ the next BTC halving knocking on the door tends to imply that both prices will be going up. I'd say that LTC charts are fair game in discussing BTC moving up until they don't jive w/ BTC halving trends any longer. Mainstreet tends to buy alts and specifically LTC when they learn about crypto and see BTC as being too expensive.

As I expected, the little pump hit heavy resistance, and now we have a nice dump.
Hard crash could start tomorrow, now it's a bit early IMO, needs to break support at 415$ to persuade the panic sellers.

I'm glad that you seem to have been only partially correct on this.

and we seem to be back on our way up?  There may be a decent possibility that we break through the $438, this time and give $448 a run for its money...

Then comes $467... I am having my doubts about being able to penetrate either the $448 or the $467 in the coming several days, but never say never in bitcoinlandia.

Yeah, this doesn't look bearish, so IMO no crashing today, and if 12h MACD divergence turns green, it's possible to break 450$, later 500$... Angry
Just go ahead and short it on max leverage anyways which is what comes natural to you, nothing possibly could go wrong amIrite?

So what is one trade that can be put on to bet on further Chinese devaluation (or outright economic collapse) with limited downside, with unlimited upside, and one which is guaranteed to be profitable if and when the local Chinese depositor herd gets out of Yuan en masse after the next 10%, 20%, 50% or more devaluation and rushes into bitcoin? Simple: do precisely what we said in September, and precisely what Corriente's Mark Hart is saying now: buy bitcoin, because once the Chinese buying frenzy is unleashed, and $25 trillion in deposits scramble to be packed into a product with a $6.5 billion current market cap (but only when the price of a bitcoin is $430; the market cap does rise to $25 trillion if every bitcoin is worth $1.6 million) one thing will happen: the price of bitcoin will soar exponentially.
Cool Holler if ya hear me!
437  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 27, 2016, 05:25:37 AM

The gorf is a new technical indicator to me Tongue

There is pent up worldwide demand for bitcoin. We may be imminently headed for $6000 BTC.

I'm not joking. Lets see.

Bitcoin has had a battering from the media for the best part of 6-7 years. Plenty know about it now. It has been superseded technologically and none of those assets even made a dent in its marketcap.

It has been superseded institutionally because we now know that banks all over the world have been running their own blockchains. But none of them even made a dent in Bitcoin's marketcap.

It has been superceeded strategically because we now have smart-contract based blockchains galore, yet, even none of those blockchains even made a dent in bitcoin's marketcap.

What will banks do when they discover that the value isn't blockchain, it's bitcoin ? What will they do when they discover that blockchain is dirt cheap, can be reproduced a million times over and actually isn't much more useful technologically than an SQL server worth $1000 bucks ? What will they do when they discover that bitcoin isn't dirt cheap, can't be replicated, can't be bought, can't be regulated and can't even be matched for hashpower with the combined budgets of all the world's banks put together ?

Bitcoin is going to be in demand by $7 billion people. Not for technological reasons, for monetary reasons. It is a perfected token both monetarily and sociologically. It is beginning to successfully conclude its "rights of passage" phase and just shortly, $400 now is going to look like $1 did back in 2010.

Interesting that no one had a thing to say about this text, amongst your squabbles. Good stuff for the win of the decade and then the gift keeps on giving.

No TA-ta-tas in the the last 5+ pages, so this thread can suck me off ad infinitum and it wouldn't do shit for me. Can someone stand up and give us a decent standpoint besides the relentless Bull (capital) S w/ a hit that is going on here? Good grief. Before you say it, shut your face.

Vote Trump and stfu where no legit TA is up in here. do something positive and make a call.

440  Economy / Economics / Re: Is America a failed nation? on: February 22, 2016, 06:35:41 PM
I think the question needs to be broken into two.

Is the US government a failed experiment? Yes. Absolutely. It began as a Republic, today many believe it is a democracy, but the reality is that it is an oligarchy. The purpose of the US Constitution was to keep government limited, and that failed. The US government is now one of the largest, most dangerous entities to humanity.

Are the people of America a failed experiment? No. Americans have taken humanity further than we ever thought was imaginable. Not only that, there are still a large minority of Americans who are intelligent (surprisingly), driven, hard-working, and innovative, and it will be these individuals that will create pragmatic, profitable, solutions to the failure that is the State.

This is perfect.
Amen
