421  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Dank Bank Deposits - low risk, high interest - 2.5%-3.2% weekly on: July 17, 2012, 01:47:38 AM
I will admit when I saw dank's ridiculous and constantly growing lending requests I thought for sure he was a scammer.  Granted the loan requests continue to get larger and now for some reason he has the reputation to start a deposit program, but I thought for sure he'd have disappeared by now.

Perhaps someone should put a bet on betsofbitcoin as to whether or not dank will default on his obligations by the end of the year?
Is it because of my name or avatar?

Probably mainly your post history.

Can I buy shares through you directly, or must I go through GLBSE?

425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs. the Banks on: July 12, 2012, 12:59:48 PM

Exact, I have a problem about the world around me ruled by a banking system that is literally responsible of the environmental destruction by overstimulating consumption.

+1 Exactly!!

This is why we should promote a resource based economy. All reality, no fantasy.

Economies are resource based by definition: Economies are how resources are distributed.

A "Resource Based Economy" is like saying a "Meal Based Restaurant"

I'd eat that restaurant.

The whole thing?

The "verify message" option is helpful to have right in the GUI, since the "sign message" is there.

Also, the coin control feature will be pretty damn handy, although I have not yet tested sending or receiving any coins with this version.

Patrick Harnett is a god among men. That is an understatement.  Smiley

he's mormon?

Hopefully not.  I remember at one point they were almost fanatical in their support.  I considered sockpuppets but honest I don't think Bruce is that smart.

Oh, Bruce knows how to work sockpuppets!
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is 'The Bitcoin Show' dead? on: July 10, 2012, 10:33:51 PM
If he's a scammer, how come he isn't jailed yet? Huh

Changing jurisdictions (for example, flying to Japan) is one way to avoid that.

This is the second time I've read about Bruce currently being in Japan. Would somebody be so kind as to offer up a source?

I have no idea where he's at now. But last I knew--back after the scandals of last year, and after the revealing of some embarassing information about him, including the warrants--he suddenly showed up in Japan.

You can check old episodes of The Bitcoin Show around that time frame to see when his first broadcast from there was.

If I remember right, he released a video and he was pretty scattered looking.

I thought it was funny.

Is the first issue of bitcoin magazine still available? I went to BN last week and they don't have the magazine on their shelves yet. I think I read a post saying they would be on the shelves in September Sad

Unless you live in the future, it's not September.

433  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How to live off of your Bitcoins? on: July 10, 2012, 04:02:36 PM
If you want the benefits of being an American citizen then pay your taxes.  I get paid crap at my job and yet a portion goes to Uncle Sam.  If you aren't going to be able to pay your taxes and live off bitcoin.....maybe you aren't going to live off of bitcoin.

That or go move to Singapore or whatever the hell.

All U.S. citizens pay plenty of taxes. Property taxes (schools, police), gas taxes (roads), sales taxes (state programs), corporate taxes (military), etc.

What benefit do we supposedly derive from paying the IRS' income tax? Do you even know where the money goes?

To pay the interest on the national debt to the international central bank cartel, of course!
434  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin 500 richest addresses, updated often. on: July 10, 2012, 05:42:05 AM
I guess the biggest wallet is own by Satoshi. At least I hope so, he deserves it
That's hard to see with blockchain analysis, because these amounts haven't moved yet at all.

I bet Satoshi put his wallet on a USB drive and threw it in the ocean à la the old woman in Titanic.
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is in big trouble and is ultimately doomed! on: July 09, 2012, 07:50:13 PM

No no no, that was the guy who hacked his account! The OP would never, ever scam anyone! He is just interested in a real, honest, non-biased discussion on why BITCOIN IS DOOOOOOOOMED!

I never got pass the OP before I posted the above. I see now from the second post that everyone was on top of this. Not sure what you're in reference to, but I believe the answer lies somewhere else in this thread.

~Bruno~

The OP claimed that he wasn't promoting bitcoin, but someone found a post from earlier today where OP was saying that he wanted to start a "cryptowar" with BTC and promote LTC.

OP then claimed his account was hacked and the hacker posted the LTC post Cheesy

It's kinda funny that he used the word "cryptowar"...

Posting on the open, public forums of your "enemies" is hardly what I would call "crypto".
436  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: July 09, 2012, 06:44:51 PM
Do stats of the size of this exist, similar to Goat's dividend payment table?

Please what span is due time?  10 weeks 10 months or ten years?

 Cheers Zyk
I'm not too sure what you mean here. The due time for what?

I believe he is referring to Vandroiy's signature line...

Quote from: Vandroiy's signature line
I have three ongoing bets that BS&T will default in due time, the largest of which is 5000 BTC with Pirateat40 directly. If you believe BS&T susceptible to a bank run, read my posts with caution!
437  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Putting your money where Pirate's mouth is. on: July 09, 2012, 05:56:15 PM
Was on IRC, and yeah I was told why he was able to take more funds (what he called risk).

My money is still with pirate. I do not see how anything has changed over the last 9 months other than the trolls are now 50% of the volume posting.

Honest I am much more worried about Gox going down than Pirate.

trolls 51% attack?!

lol

this explains a lot:

I agree, I think we should be done with the bitcoin community. They are obviously a bunch of fools, and embrace the goodness that is Litecoin. Infact, we should probably integrate a feature in the litecoin client where it blocks anyone who has Bitcoin running or owns any bitcoin addresses! Smiley

Cryptowar for the future!!! Rawr!

Are you 11?

haha no, why?

Are you a pedophile?

Not you...

Haha ok then. Consider my query retracted.
