I've been trying to message the people that posted on the first page - if they mentioned the other coin or talked about trojan that wasn't there.  Maybe they will be receptive to deleting their posts. 

I've already talked to one pool operator that was hesitant to open a pool because of that "Trojan" post in big red letters on the first page.

Even the people that quoted that post - they should remove the quote.

Hello Everyone!  This is a serious pool with serious dedicated hardware, and deserves serious hashes.  I lobbied hard for him to launch the pool, I promised we would come trough with lot of hashes - Don't let me down guys!  I am switching all of my hashes to this pool after after this post, so it WILL be finding blocks right away.

I'm especially talking to you folks still mining at Moonishere - it's a great pool run by a great guy, but it is constantly spiking above 50% hashrate, this is bad for the network.  If you are at moonishere.com - PLEASE SWITCH TO THIS POOL

I did think it was pretty funny that literally 1 day after network hashrate jumps from 5 to 80, steadymining decided to close the pool - the heck was that all about?

Anyway - I'm glad to see you guys come back, I will add the pool to the sidebar on reddit.

I'm new to the tipbot as well, but I think I've figured it out.  You first need to "register" - it's 2 clicks... first go to http://www.reddit.com/r/nyantip then on the right click "register" then "send"

Now you should get a PM with an address to deposit nyan

Once you have deposited you just need to go to any thread and type "+/u/nyantip 1 nyan"

The user will get a PM with instructions on how to redeem the coins.

It's a lot harder than I thought it would be to get people to switch pools.  I think both moonishere and nyanpool.net should stay registraion locked for the next 24 hours or so to let things even out a bit. The problem we have is that if only one of the pools is locked then everyone naturally flocks to the next largest pool - which puts THAT pool over 51%, then that pool locks and cycle repeats itself.  IF both polls are locked at the same time then people have no other option but to try a smaller pool.

It has to do with how many "chunks" of coin need to be sent to make up the final amount.  Here's something I found that explains it:

Sending coins in more detail.
If you received 50 coins in one transaction and would like to spend these coins, one of two things will happen: If you send exactly 50 coins, all of them will be sent in one "chunk." If you send less than fifty coins, then your client will create two transactions: one to send and one for "change." Example: I have 50 coins, and I want to send 10. My client will send the 10 coins to the receiving address, and then (behind the scenes) create a new receiving address in my own wallet and send the rest (40) to it. This ends up looking like i just sent all of my 50 coins to two different addresses if you examine the blockchain. Since the 40 coins are still in an address in my wallet, my client stills show that I have 40 in my "grand total." Next Example: I belong to a mining pool and it will automatically send 5 coin payouts. Each payout ends up being a 5 coin chuck on my address. After a time I now have 100 coins! Now I want to send 50 to a friend. My client now has to combine enough chunks to equal 50 coins. It takes 10 of those 5 coin chucks and cryptographically signs them to my friends receiving address.
Transaction Fees. Why?
When many chucks have to be combined like in the example above, it creates a large transaction that has to be written and hashed into the blockchian. Even if you send a total of 1 coin, it takes more space on the blockchain to send a transaction using one hundred 0.01 chucnks than it does to send a single chunk that has 1 (or more coins) in it. To help offset the large (many chunk) transactions, fees are enforced for transactions over a certain kilobyte limit.
