I was graphing the coin supply vs. time today (for fun ) and noticed something odd. I used this description in the wiki to make the graph: Coin details Anoncoin was originally a fork of the Litecoin source code. The creation of new coins is by the reward to miners for processing transactions into blocks that are added to the block chain, where mining is performed by proof of work using the scrypt hashing function. A total of 4.2 million coins can be mined into existence, which is 5 times less than the maximum supply of Bitcoin, and transactions are processed, on average, every 3 minutes. The current block reward is 5 ANC, and this will be halved to 2.5 on approximately January 22, 2015. The block reward distribution schedule is the following: 4.2 ANC for blocks until 42,000; 7 ANC until block 77,777; 5 ANC until block 384,377; and then halving of block rewards every 306,600 blocks (which is approximately every two years). block coins block reward 1 4 4.2 42,000 176,400 4.2 77,777 426,839 7 384,377 1,959,839 5 690,977 2,726,339 2.5 997,577 3,109,589 1.25 1,304,177 3,301,214 0.625 1,610,777 3,397,027 0.3125 1,917,377 3,444,933 0.15625 2,223,977 3,468,886 0.078125 2,530,577 3,480,862 0.0390625 2,837,177 3,486,851 0.01953125 3,143,777 3,489,845 0.009765625 3,450,377 3,491,342 0.004882813 3,756,977 3,492,090 0.002441406 As you can see the max supply converges on 3.492 million not 4.2 million. Where did I go wrong here? The red dot is where we are currently. Can we get one of the devs to weigh in on this? I'm pretty sure the math is right, so either the wiki is wrong when it describes the emission curve OR the actual max # of coins is 700k lower than what is quoted everywhere.

its most likely a lie. Ive seen BitcoinExpress (BCX) on multiple threads. All he does is accusations and marketing shit. No proof nor good arguments. Maybe he wants to buy some cheap monero? Who knows... Yea probably. I own a lot of XMR so I'm kinda hoping its untrue.

Well, obviously you used a tool created by someone else for some other specific purpose.
huh?

How you understand github commits if you can't do some additions? What are github commits.

I love your blockchain explorer - is there any chance you could add anoncoin to the list? The current explorers are shit and the coin is #30 on coinmarketcap - it deserves a good explorer. Thank you!

In other news, there are actually some coins for sale on cryptsy now, maybe the trolling has brought out some sellers.
|
|
|
Well I'm not worried, especially considering Gnosis will be releasing daily commits as he goes. The first of those is going to be today I think.
|
|
|
Why is cryptsy sending invalid transactions? are they using an old client or something?
I made two transactions from cryptsy recently (2500 ANC + 2500 ANC) both unconfirmed for a long time. Invalid?
PS: I'm looking to buy 10-20k ANC, please contact me if interested in doing a deal outside of cryptsy.
I've been withdrawing ANC in 2k chunks to cold storage over the last couple days and have had no problems - coins were typically hitting the blockchain after about 5-10 minutes.

You are not a troll, you are just a curious person.
I am the troll.
Still, something is not quite right about gnosis and this whole zc project.
The missed deadlines are trivial, there are enough other peculiarities that people should at least be cautious.
None of the questions I asked earlier were unreasonable, but the questions were either ignored or diverted.
I'll ask one of those questions again. Maybe it was covered somewhere and I missed it.
Question What exactly are gnosis's qualifications, and are there people who will vouch for him?
Zerocoin today is a month or two away, as it was last month and the month before. Gnosis has made it clear he wants cash up front for the project. He himself would not accept that his work would increase the value of anc enough to compensate him.
Or perhaps he does not have any savings and needs cash up front to pay bills? No money in the bank but a yifted cryptographer who will revo altcoins? I doubt it.
Again, some hint about your qualifications gnosis? A college degree in something?
Please be cautious people. I hold anc, still. But something does not seem right here.
It's great you are being cautious. Here's how I see it: 1) Gnosis has already delivered on the RSA UFO project. 2) Meeh vouches for him and has hired him to do other work for him. 3) He has been contributing code for months (see github). ...I trust that he can pull this off, but I understand your hesitance.

Meeh, can you check the /r/anoncoin spam folder - my posts are not showing up?

Need some help guys So I'm busy converting most of my coins to BTC. I have about 20 Anoncoins in my desktop wallet (version 0.8.5.1-88-g87bdacc-beta) It's updated and I have 8 connections at the moment. I transferred the 20 coins to join the rest on my exchange but now it just says: Status: 0/unconfirmed Date: 2014-09-16 12:31:01 Debit: -20.12468257 ANC It's been like this for a few hours now. Nothing is happening. I downloaded the new version of Anoncoin which is 0.8.5.6 and installed it but it still opens my 0.8.5.1 version for some reason. If I delete the wallet and the block chain in program data then it still shows it's version 0.8.5.1 but it re-downloads the block chain. What am I missing? Here's my log file info: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1bdy2vpvcblqm06/debug.log?dl=0You probably just need to give it some time. If you don't include a miners fee the transaction might not be included in a block right away. I had the same thing happen to me yesterday, I sent 20 coins from my wallet with no miner fee and it sat unconfirmed for about 8 hours before it finally was added to a block.

Can you add Anoncoin (ANC)? Would really appreciate it, the volume is crazy high recently it would be fun to watch live.

I have been out of the loop recently, is there a new estimated time frame for ZC implementation? I noticed the nice fat buy walls going up on cryptsy and was hoping to hear some good news on here
