I know... but it was not large mined in first 24h  no more than 100 miners it's nothing compared to other coins. Just here the algo is different. Nevermind you just didn't understand my original post. I said "a large number of coins were mined in the first 24 hours". I'm not sure what you think I said. |

Anyone know why the GPU miner instantly closes saying it was not able to connect to the server?
I have tried many different pools and none of them works.
post the contents of your config (or .bat) file Probably there is some simple mistake there. im one of the first who started to mining darkcoin.... first week less than 100 miners on the only one pool who existed.

I believe the website tries to guess which addresses belong to the same person by the transactions in the blockchain. |

I dont understand why people keep using the words "pump" and "dump" in the context of Darkcoin. The price increase is the correction. This coin was undervalued for a long time. It was like there were Ferraris for sale at 1K for a long time, some people were able to recognize that. Now the Ferraris are going for 10K, it is still incredibly cheap. So just buy what you can while you can, sure there will be minor corrections along the way, but it wont really go down to previous levels, BECAUSE THE VALUE WAS ALWAYS THERE, you just needed to see. And the people that know what they have in their hands wont sell it for cheap anymore. The cat is out of the bag, and a 5USD DRK is still bloody cheap.
+1 -> that's why all of my coins are in cold storage. There's not a chance in hell I would sell at these levels. The current market cap is what? 9 MILLION USD! LOLOLOLOL I literally know INDIVIDUAL people with higher net worth than that. Darkcoin has the potential to be a GLOBAL CURRENCY - with a marketcap in the hundreds of billions of USD or more. I've been buying DRK for a couple months now - and am still dumping my daily BTC mining profits into DRK, it is a no brainer. 9 Million USD is laughably undervalued IMO. |

Well, this helps clarify things and I feel a bit better. You might want to post something like that as a reply to the original tweet (if you don't remove it outright). In the future just be careful what you post to twitter on the official account - you are speaking as an official representative of darkcoin, and your words can have large impacts on the market and peoples perception of the coin. I agree, im an idiot! I get pissed off and dont think straight and just want to bash some heads and just happed to have the Official Twitter open. DUH! I have removed the tweets, buts its too late. I will vent ONLY on my personal account. Sorry everyone. But I still would recommend everyone refrain from using Cryptsy, somehow they are allowing you to sell more than you have. And if someone figures out how they can manipulate it they can take a BUNCH of coins from them and then everyone is screwed. Here was my transaction: Balance: 361.24682153 2014-04-22 19:57:09 Trade (Sell) -389.73542967 -28.48860814 So I sold 389 but I only had 361. Imagine if it was BTC!!! And while I was in chat there were multiple people there with same problem with alot of other coins, so its not a DRK problem. It's ok we still <3 you. |

I like to think I've been investing in cryptos in the hopes that one day this market will get larger and more investment capital will flow in. But this is ridiculous. Here are some of the questions anyone should be posing right now. Does this developer have any DRK left? Does he think his job is over now? Double the price and this guy flips his shit? This is a big fuck up and at least a little damage control is in order.
I agree but we must keep in mind that this is not Evan tweeting this shit out. Evan is the main developer and there is no evidence he has sold anything. That having been said, this is a major fuck up and will likely hurt prices in the short term. |

I also want to run a masternode. I have ~600 DRK right now and willing to buy the other 400 I need but I don't even have a PC at home! I work in IT so I am fairly confident I could handle it but don't know if I want to go pick up a machine right now!?

I have 200 darkcoins and a shitload of blackcoins, I am thinking about buying 1800 more darkcoins and setting up 2 masternodes
The problem is I have no idea what it is, how to do it, or how much dark i can get a day from them
If someone can hyelp me out with this I will dump 20k blackcoins RIGHT NOW for darkcoins =)
I've asked this same question already but nobody seemed to bother answering. How does one create a masternode? I realize that one needs to have 1000 DRK. Chaeplin wrote a great guide. |
