Latest Phoenix miner doesn't support these drivers, so there is no need in such improvement. It seems to me that AMD GPUs with modded BIOS work stable and good enough without such option.

You have to increase virtual memory size. If you wish to know the exact reason of the error, then add -dbg 1 in your BAT-file of Claymore. This miner is outdated at the moment, I'd recommend you to use Phoenix miner.

GTX1070/1080/1080Ti have good prices at the moment. It seems to me that stagnation on cryptomarket is finished, so these cards - it is a good choice now. Recently appeared AMD RX590 is made with 12 nm process - it gives good energy efficiency, that's why it is also a not bad choice.

CRYPTO-MINING NEEDS A PILL-- The market is a shade away from being futile. But seriously, I thought the chain-type algos (x16r, x16s, x22i, etc) were mostly processor bound, and high energy. How would a blanket memory timing help over various chained algorithms? --scryptr some of these algos are memory reliant, it would increase the overall hash-rate. CORE-INTENSIVE ALGOS MAY PERFORM POORLY-- The pill works for ETH by design, and helps with Monero variants, but some algos like ProgPow perform poorly with the Pill. With the chained algos, the pill would need to detect which algo is being mined and switch ON or OFF accordingly. This may not be practical to code. If the algo's performance is neutral to the pill, it could remain active. I game with the Pill, and mine Monero after gaming. The Pill just runs, with no problems detected. I don't code enough to actually know what is possible. --scryptr I tried with ETH Enlargment pill with Phoenix miner - it doesn't work. On x16r it doesn't work as well. But it works perfectly with Claymore miner while Ether mining. |

Can anybody confirm NVIDIA inspector is incompitable with P106-100 CARDS ?
I have one P106-100 card in the rig with other 5 GTX1060 cards. I'm using nvidiainspector for 1060 and MSIAfterburner for P106-100. nvidiainspector is much better because it undervolts GPU Core to 650 mV. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with my MSI P106-100 card. I tried unsuccessfully different drivers, but P106-100 don't work with nvidiainspector. |

I had 8 of these and had to RMA most of them due to attempts at repasting and also just GPU death in general
I've also had mostly bad experience with 290s. Had only 5 or 6 of them in total, and 2 or 3 went bad within a few months (all bought new). Haven't ever had such high failure rates with any other GPU series. What were you mining with them? If you bought new, I am assuming it was late 2013 and you were mining Scrypt which was litecoin. From what I recall, the R9 290 was a complete power-hog with Scrypt and if you ran with stock voltage they pulled 350-400Watts per GPU easily and due to poor heat control, they easily burnt up. Also earlier there were not so simple risers as we have now. I burnt one R9 290x after incorrect connection of additional power to the riser. It cost a lot at the beginning of 2014. |

If you used MSI Afterburner for GPU overclocking, it could incorrectly overclock video cards after installing new drivers. You have to use a clean installation of the drivers with switched off MSI Afterburner. After successful installation, you have to patch drivers (if you have error 43), switch on "Compute mode" and use overclocking with lower values.

I prefer Super flower Titanium and Be Quiet Platinum. In my opinion, these models are the best in terms of efficiency and low noise.

Constantinople fork will decrease reward for miners from 3 to 2 Ethers. It will decrease coin supply, inflation and deflate Ethereum price. But the biggest influence on it will give ICO market. If stagnation will continue, then there will no increase in price.

Если не майнить, то держать ферму не имеет смысла. Железо постоянно устаревает и теряет свою стоимость. В 2019 году появятся новые видеокарты АМД и доведенные до ума Нвидиа, не говоря уже о Асиках.
