It was a really surprising tactic by Gautham Gambhir to open the batting with Sunil Narine and it really paid off as he provided the knock expected to chase the score as Kolkata Knight Riders does not have any international players who are specialist in T20s in their squad but they pulled this win .
Gautam Gambhir is a master mind player, i remember him when he was in Delhi with Sehwag..I was dammn sure about his win though i did not saw the match as i am in different time zone, i really miss watching Cricket in India.

Chasing down 170 in a T20 score with more than 3 overs to go. This really is a comprehensive win for Kolkatta.
Sunil Narine delivered in both powerplays.  Grin
422  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction 2017 on: April 11, 2017, 04:30:23 PM
I think we'll hit $2000 this year unless it drops below $600. Because a lot of people are seeing the prices rise, and more people will buy in. Supply is decreasing as time goes on, as it always has in Bitcoin.
Yes because of high demand and stable stock then the price will continue to skyrocket, I'm sure the user bitcoin increasingly loyal and optimistic with the future of the bitcoin so they will continues to buy despite the price is expensive. I predicted the highest price of this year will hit $2500.

I doubt if we will reach $2500 this year if there are no positive triggers. That is more than double today's price.
Of course, if there is a positive trigger (like an ETF getting approved), then the price may reach those levels.
423  Economy / Economics / Re: It's Time To Get Painfully Honest: Banks Are Evil on: April 11, 2017, 04:25:53 PM
The really sad part is when people are asking when we will have a Bitcoin Bank. The correct and the best anwer would be - hopefully never.
Bitcoin was created to battle banks, as they are economic parasites. Average Joe is not even able to imagine how much he is being exploited by big corporations and banks.
Banks are not here to help you, they are here to give you a calendar with a big sign 'Sucker" written on it, because you will be paying banks interest for your whole life.

This is very true.  What is the fundamental purpose of banking, and how did banks get started?

One major purpose was to protect you from theft.  Thieves could steal your gold and silver, but they could never change the information that you had this much money in an account.  Goldsmith banks were born because goldsmiths knew how to protect precious metals, and used that expertise to offer to safeguard people's money.

Of course, once banks got hold of your money, they had the incentives to commit a wholly different kind of theft, in the next few centuries!

Since Bitcoin runs a distributed software protocol to maintain account information, it replaces this major function of banks.

(Although, we have to admit, Bitcoin doesn't address another key function of banks, i.e. to match savers with investments, although it does help make capital markets fundamentally healthier, if it ever manages to take the power of money creation from central banks and governments.)

The root of this is fractional reserve lending. It caused goldsmiths to go bankrupt, and banks today can face the same fate too.
It is not the bank as an institution, but its practices which have made its business risky.

Smith won't be playing today and they brought in Du Plessis. He too is a good player but I really miss Smith. Glad that Pune chose to bowl and hope they can take wickets to restrict DD below 150. Hope to see Dhoni perform well today.
DD lost the first wicket for zero runs, but after that, they are playing well. Now the score is 67 runs 7 overs completed. Sam Billings and Sanju Samson is playing speed and safe game. I think DD will give 180+ runs target to Pune. Yes, smith is not playing today it is bad news for Pune. I hope Du Plessis will perform well in this game. let's see who will win.

Delhi Daredevils have scored an imposing 205 runs. Pune will find it tough to overcome this target. Sanju Samson paced his innings beautifully and hit a century. A whopping 82 runs came off the last 5 overs!!
425  Economy / Speculation / Re: Almost 1,100 on: April 11, 2017, 01:16:15 AM
It is pretty stable at $1,100 in the 30 mins I am keeping in a look out for the price and then as of now that I look at it it burst to $1208.99 dollar WOW! I really think it is still gonna goes up! but let us see for ourselves I can say for sure if it's gonna go up to $1,300 but many are speculating that it would well let us see in the up coming hours.

We are at $1215, we are making good progress, price doesn't seem too bubbled, it would be better that we stay stable at $1200 for a couple of days because all massive movements end up in big crash.

Coinmarketcap now says $1190. Strangely, the euphoria that was there last time when we crossed $1200 is missing now.
Maybe $1200 is par for the course now.  Grin
426  Economy / Economics / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto should be richer than Bill Gates. on: April 11, 2017, 01:12:58 AM
Satoshi kept his identity anonymous since the very beginning. It is clear his objective was not to make money or get fame.
He could have sold his bitcoin holding much earlier in 2013 and invested somewhere else but he didn't.
His ambitions seems to be different than Bill gate's.
But you never know where bitcoin would reach in future. If it reach $10k, Satoshi would be 10x richer than today.

For all you know, he might be holding on to his bitcoins and may reveal himself in the future.
But looking at his actions until now, I feel fame and fortune do not enthrall him.
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 11, 2017, 01:10:09 AM
Kings Punjab won the match by 8 wickets, and It was a great victory to Punjab. RCB failed to make good score they just scored 148 runs, That too ABD batted well at the end that is why the score came near to 150 otherwise it will not cross to120 runs. ABD is not got good support from another batsman that is why they scored very less. Congrats Punjab.

Tomorrow Pune vs Delhi, My pick is Pune. Any other guess?

Punjab played well and won the match comprehensively. Winning a T20 match, with more than 5 overs to spare is a rare feat. If not for De Villiers, Bangalore would have sunk even deeper. He managed to give them a respectable score.
428  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks like 2000 next month on: April 05, 2017, 04:00:27 PM
2000$ a bitcoin will remain a dream unless the scaling issue is resolve and BU is no longer a threat to bitcoin. I think these two are the only ones holding the price from getting to the moon. But once these problems are solved, bitcoin will soar up high.

The scaling issue will get sorted out eventually. Of course, everybody would love to see an early resolution.
The only threat is if some alt manages to establish a niche while bitcoiners are fighting a civil war.
429  Economy / Economics / Re: Cross-Crypto Market Cap Reaches New All-Time High on: April 05, 2017, 03:57:13 PM
A lot of the increase is in thinly traded coins, where a couple of large trades push up the price.
We should be cognizant of the fact that prices can crash just as quickly.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 05, 2017, 03:54:35 PM
Sunrisers have crossed 150, with 5 overs to ago. With Yuvraj looking in fine nick, they are set for a massive score.
The powerhitters of RCB will have to pull something special out of their bags today, to win this one.  Smiley
431  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will reach $1500? on: April 02, 2017, 04:10:44 PM
september at most

probably by July

Specifying the year will also help.  Grin
I do believe that 2017 will be a strong year for Bitcoin and we should reach $2000 by Christmas time. We should cross $1500 a  couple of months before that.
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 02, 2017, 04:08:11 PM
A decent score by Bangladesh as I thought they wouldn't manage to score even 170-180 and this way they reduced the loss to 70 runs. It was all due to Mirab's 51 runs that they managed to reach 210 but he was the only one getting runs while the other bwolers just came and went. Mendis really deserved the MOS award for scoring 160 runs in the entire series.

They should be happy with the 1-1 scoreline in the series. Sri Lanka would have won the second match as well, if rain had not intervened. Overall, a satisfying tour for Bangladesh considering they managed to win a test match as well.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 01, 2017, 05:27:11 AM
Sri Lanka have gotten off to a good start, scoring 76/0 in the first ten overs. If they put up a huge score, then their job is almost done. Bangladesh have improved their cricketing performances, but I don't think they can handle the pressure in the chase.
434  Economy / Economics / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto should be richer than Bill Gates. on: April 01, 2017, 05:23:58 AM
We all know Bill Gates the owner of microsoft is the most richest man in the world. Total wealth of $80 Billion US dollars. While satoshi nakamoto the owner and founder of bitcoin only have $1 billion US dollars, Why he cant just generate indefinite amount of bitcoins for him and exchange it to real cash, right? Any thoughts?

There is enough debt in the equity markets for Bill Gates to sell his stake.
Satoshi might have a million bitcoins, but just imagine what will happen if he tries to sell his coins. Bitcoin's price will crash in a matter of minutes.
435  Economy / Speculation / Re: This massive price increase in seconds shows us something on: April 01, 2017, 05:21:03 AM
1 btc = 10K at the end of the year, and 100 K at in 2020. Confirmed. No i dont use facts , look at the f**king chart

Only if the fear exists...right now there is no fear of missing out. How does the initial rise get triggered to send waves of fear (of missing out) through the market place around the world?

All we need is a whale to make a big order and the price could move. Some big investors who wanted to invest in the ETF could decide to buy bitcoins directly. This would fuel a self sustaining rally.
436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Does Anyone Think BTC Splitting into Two Will Make BU Go to the Moon? on: March 27, 2017, 03:46:15 PM
If there will be network split, many will dump all their free BTU when it get listed which will just pump the real BTC to the moon.

BTU will be another dead cow instantly after getting listed as just another altcoin  Grin

Each branch has its heavy weight supporters. The dumping will be heavy in both BTC and BTU.
Ultimately, one of them will emerge as the clear winner.
437  Economy / Economics / Re: How is the capital found? on: March 27, 2017, 03:43:03 PM
How can someone who has no capital find the capital needed to start his own business?
Credit, Debt etc. What are alternative ways like?
The best way is to save, that way you will not be in a big risk even if you will not succeed in whatever business you want to try. Desperate people
take it from loans which I strongly disagree, that is a gamblers move and they will take bigger risk just to bet on their skills to run the business
successfully. However, it's their decision and I have nothing to do but respect it but in my point of view it's not advisable.
But getting required funds through saving might take more time.
I believe going for well planned loans would be the right way of achieving funds required for starting up as well as running a business. Many people never bother about initial running costs. They plan up only for initial set up cost. Practically both are very important.

Even if you find lenders to give you money (well planned loans), they would expect you to be sufficiently invested in the business (bring in substantial equity as well). Typically, lenders enter when the risks are lower (not at the start up stage).
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 27, 2017, 03:35:56 PM
What a day 3 it has been in the two test matches. While team India just needs 87 runs to win, new Zeeland has taken a lead of 7 runs. At this stage I don't expect India to loose but few wickets here and there shall be good for entertainment purposes. It's a tough call between Africa and New Zealand, both look equally good but it's the third day and with New Zealand having such a small lead, most likely it looks like it will be a draw. Or can we expect a result in such kind of match.

India played phenomenally well today. To take a lead of 30+ runs through a strong 7th wicket partnership was commendable. On top of that, their bowlers came strongly at the batsmen, and managed to skittle out the entire Australian team for 137. The target should be easily achievable even though the pitch is deteriorating.
439  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Importing Private Keys on: March 26, 2017, 04:24:43 AM
I have never seen that either.  Once you run a few transactions through the address, and if the color changes to normal, will you please come back and post it here so we know for sure?  I love this forum.  Every single day I come here to read and learn.  When I find a thread like this I watch it.  Thanks in advance.

Please update us in the future in case you found out why this was happening or in case it was fixed.
Thanks.

The reason given by mocacinno was spot on.
As soon as my wallet had a few transactions, the red colour disappeared.
440  Economy / Speculation / Re: How can you say that the price is Tanking when we're.... on: March 26, 2017, 03:29:51 AM
+54% these last 6 months and +123% for 365 days now.

Everybody has a short term memory. They are looking at what happened in the last 1 month.
Or they are comparing Bitcoin's price movements with others like ETH and Dash.
I'm actually quite happy with ether. I bought a nice chunk for someone, with a commission, and then sold it for him with a profit, with another commission. We both made out. Win-win.

You made some money without taking any risks. That is everybody's dream in the risky crypto world.
Not everybody is that lucky.  Smiley
