421  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend! on: May 31, 2020, 08:01:17 PM
First of all this 20k is not something i will need right away because honestly crypto investment is a long term investment if you want a good profit from it

Secondly i will want to diversify my portfolio and the three cryptos i will be going for are Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple and you will just have to sit down and relax till it matures

I think @hassancisse is right. I too had similar thoughts, 20k is quite a big investment (speaking in absolute terms) and what's most important is diversification, and on top of that make sure you're investing into the crypto coins with a lot of potential. A good feature for this which I also use is looking at the maketcap and and progression over the months. Often, though BTC and ETH are ones which some consider as safer investments and if you look at the two indicators I talked about these remain true. But you can venture a bit further using the same indicators and maybe others too  Cheesy

The way this marketing content has been dropped in here would make people not even looking at your site. There just is so much clutter and everything is super hard to read. By reading the first few lines I immediately assume NOT LEGIT.

This exchange won't attract traffic at least from here anyways if this is how you're communicating to us/them. Because of this I didn't even bother with the link and this is the type of response you'll get from many...
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop wasting your electricity on: May 31, 2020, 04:21:59 PM
I've been sleeping on a false hope for a very long time, I was a fan of new cryptonote coins and I've spend years gathering them, thinking I will be rich one way or the other, I mined coins like

1. Mask Coin
2. Goro Coin
3. Snowflake
4. Recoal
5. Tokl
6. Festival Coin
7. Btor

All these coins are now abandoned and dead, no update since 2018, I'm sharing this today to warn those who still believes in petty coins like these, stop wasting electricity and mine better coins like Monero, Haven Protocol and other popular cryptonight coins or regret later on

I suppose it wasn't entirely a waste of time and money. In the end you got out with the most important lesson about mining and you now also know the process step by step so it won't take you too long to upgrade, providing that you also have enough capital to invest into hardware.

In any case, this is a well learnt lesson and it is one all miners should be aware about. In the end, mining is similar to trading in that you still have to speculate around the coins, risks and rewards.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The real value of blockchain on: May 31, 2020, 02:36:27 PM
The blockchain technology is so valuable because it posses the ability to disrupt essentially everything we know about from supply chains to financial sectors, changing the voting systems and everything else in between. Blockchain can be so disruptive that many institutions and organisations have started researching into the filed for fear of not losing out once it will emerge as the global successor after the discovery of the internet.
425  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those that hate risks! on: May 30, 2020, 10:19:43 PM
Who doesn't hate uncertainty and thus risk altogether but these are what makes us better traders, investors and keeps us on our feet. You gotta take risks to make money otherwise stick to bank accounts and get 0.1% interest. Its almost a tool we can learn to utilise and once we get to understand it we can make better choices and get great returns.

427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin after the year of 2140 on: May 30, 2020, 02:54:47 PM
Have you ever wondered how the future of crypto land will be once all Bitcoin are mined by 2140? By that time, Bitcoin miners will be living off fees. It's expected that Bitcoin's price would be high enough to help sustain miner's operations. Bitcoin could be well worth over $1m by 2140, if all goes well. There will be a lot of demand for altcoins as digital cash, while Bitcoin will be the world's store-of-value asset. Scalability and privacy may no longer be an issue within the Bitcoin blockchain, as developers would've found a way to make the pioneer cryptocurrency useful for the world.

While we still have a very long way to go for this to happen, it's great to imagine how the future of Bitcoin and crypto will be after a century since their inception. I'm curious to know what do you think Bitcoin's future will be after 2140? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

This is a super long-term projection and I'm not o sure that in a century's time there will be something like BTC or cryptocurrency but instead some other higher form of financial system. I expect the technology to lead us towards a feature we can't yet possible imagine and with Ai and automation already sprouting biotech and info tech will take over and so it makes any long-term predictions like these almost impossible to even guess. That's my take on it anyway...
428  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What was your experience trading cryptocurrency? on: May 29, 2020, 04:30:20 PM
Trading for me has been a bittersweet experience lol. But I would say it’s more of a sweet experience now that I’m quite good at it and the losses I make are little. At some time I decided to give up on trading because it was starting to seem to me like it was a gambling, since I was still new and I was losing regularly with every trade I make.

It wasn’t easy and I had to keep trying and giving my best. I didn’t have much then , but I still kept trying with the little money I could afford. Kept doing it and now here I am. I like to suggest all newbie traders to try hard at the same time with least capital. Trying hard does not mean you may risk more but it means you must try more different strategies. Strategies are your actual plans and without plan we cannot be successful nowhere.
I fall sort of into the same pitch as this guy. My cryptocurrency experience hasn't always been great mainly because at time I found myself too slow to react to the market changes and if anything I tend to hesitate selling especially during times of market dumps. Though overall I must say that it still is a learning experience for me as with every trade I make the more knowledge I obtain and that will one day for sure come in handy.

I've had my days of losses and gains but its all a waiting game and if you're too slow to react you'll sure be missing out one way or another - at least this is what my top learning tip is anyway.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Check your eth wallet address for some token valuation on: May 29, 2020, 01:14:35 PM
For some reason hunters forgot their useless tokens from bounty and dont have idea anymore if their bounty tokens have some value. If you leave your wallet for quite sometime the easiest way to know this is to check your address on these two sites.

https://etherscan.io

https://ethplorer.io

The purposes of these sites are not only to see transactions but with the latest update and upgrade, we can see valuation of tokens under erc20 network that have been listed on coinmarketcap. You dont need to visit each channel or social media for update by simply looking on these sites you will know if your tokens from bounty have value.
Both of the mentioned sites are good for checking the token's worth I in particular use Ethplorer but its just my habit and it worked well so I can't complain about it neither can I say much about Etherscan since I haven't used it myself but from the people I know use it I've heard them whine either.

In any case these two tools are important for bounters or people who received airdops to see how much their tokens are worth - anyway worth spreading this.
430  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Latoken will charge you 5USD monthly, if you are not active. on: May 29, 2020, 11:22:45 AM
I have some eth and usdt balance on latoken, I have held it since three months ago, also I rarely been active on latoken since the pandemic outbreak. Until now my balance is still the same amount, not reduced. Maybe I should ask to the support center directly for clarification about this issue
I think you should withdraw your funds before Latoken charge you $5 for their services. I don't think that is a great idea to apply some fees for an inactive account because traders will have their freedom to use any exchanges to trade. You don't need to ask to the support centre, but you can move your fund before it's too late, and you should pay the fee. I prefer to move my funds to another exchange which don't use any fee.

What a load of crap from Latoken. They should have foreseen this would have a negative impact on their reputations and it will slam on their users. The only reason I can immediately think this is happening is that they must not have enough traffic and this might have been a plan to try to maintain a supply of funds from their customers and if that's the case, this has been tackled wrong.
431  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Localbitcoins bans whole countries on: May 28, 2020, 06:24:37 PM
Customers residing or otherwise located in the following countries are required to have an enhanced due diligence process. The countries are defined by EU commission: Afghanistan, American Samoa, The Bahamas, Botswana, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guam, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Puerto Rico, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, US Virgin Islands, Yemen. The process to activate the account will be introduced in the near future. If you’re not willing to wait for your account to be activated, you can withdraw your bitcoins by deleting your account.

They've frozen thousands of accounts. Twitter is in meltdown over it:

https://twitter.com/search?q=localbitcoins&src=typd

Panama is a country very well known to everyone, so I don't need to talk about it much

Iraq also has its problems known to all

But why the hell Botswana, Ghana, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Sri Lanka are on that list? Has anything happened in particular that I haven't heard in the news?

These are countries where entrepreneurs and investors as such are not as prominent and where governments are too influential and where culture is a great obstacle to technology innovation. So judging by these facts alone I'd guess that there's no much interest in these countries for generating or attracting potential investors since there way more attractive places to go to. Even still, I do not think exclusion and separation is a good approach  Undecided
432  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is everyone expecting continuous growth? on: May 28, 2020, 02:30:15 PM
Given the most recent event which will be a historic part of the blockchain industry (i.e. BTC halving) many people are preparing for the long anticipated rise in market profitability. This can be seen by the action that big cooperations are taking by investing into the crypto tech. For example, Bit5ive the biggest US organisation in that produces chips and other tech parts required for crypto mining has recently announced an agreement which will see an increase in the supply of these devices to further support the expansion of crypto mining and blockchain for that matter.

This is just an example of the type of long term risks cooperations are taking with regards to the anticipated crypto market growth, and there are many more examples too.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hello everyone! Do you still have confidence in altcoin? on: May 28, 2020, 01:47:11 PM
Yes believe few altcoins and for every altcoins unknown confidence. Do not hold every altcoins then you have no chance for make profits even it's chance for loss money. However, crypto market growth is to unknown inform, therefore keep investing in top altcoins' where you have to good chance for future benefits.

Like many people on here already expressed the absurdity of this question, and their relentless trust in the crypto and alt coins system I cannot but state that altcoins are also important investments any crypto enthusiast should consider. Particularly,  the coins with most market cap such as etherium, tezos, litcoin and such, these are coins with a lot of trust and infrastructure based system built around them. These are sure at least some of the ones to keep monitoring closely
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees high on: May 27, 2020, 09:34:45 PM
Fees are still high.  I don’t think bitcoin is only for early miners who have a lot of bitcoins, and for rich people’s who have a lot of money they both can pay as High fees he wants. We have to focus on whole users wich don’t have *million of bitcoins and can’t handle such a high fees.

You're right the fees are high but I think at some level they're important to continue incentivising the miners who spend lots of money in the infrastructure they need to. mine or to allow transaction to be added to blockchain on a daily basis. Without it the whole system wouldn't work and blockchain technology based systems won't exist either. The only thing that will bring down the fees in my opinion is the adoption since the more people there're using the technology the more processes will be required to be performed ultimately driving the fees down.
435  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those that hate risks! on: May 27, 2020, 06:15:23 PM
'Fear' is a trait we're embellished to enable our survival be it in the wild to fear bigger predators or in different types of industries like crypto trading. While some view fear as a limitation to one's ability to earn more money fear is ultimately the inner voice telling you that maybe it's not a good idea to trade all your money in case something goes wrong - which let's face it almost always can go wrong due to unexpected factors. SO fear isn't all that bad/good but an emotion we must listen to carefully before deciding to take action.
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Average Weekly Investment on: May 26, 2020, 10:20:21 PM
I personally invest around $50 to $100 a week in promising altcoins. Barring any investments I happen to make in any IEOs I manage to get into. In this case, it could multiply to much more than that.

I believe that dollar cost averaging is one of the safest ways to invest in cryptocurrencies, but it's not easy to do if it's not a popular cryptocurrency like Bitcoin or Ethereum, since there are no automated tools for it. I tend to stick with Coinbase for my DCA but its options are limited.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of social media channels on: May 26, 2020, 08:33:15 PM
Most platforms actually do have a social media channel, but they don't actually have a guy that details with maintaining it.

These platforms will typically only post sporadic updates about their own project, rather than contributing anything of value to the community.

Personally, I avoid investing in any platform that hasn't at least got a blog that it keeps up to-date, or a newsletter that keeps the community informed on progress.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is Tether.to/USDT? on: May 26, 2020, 06:52:02 PM
I personally try to stay away from Tether where possible. After finding out that they lend money out to institutions and organizations and are actually operating a fractional reserve because of this.... Just sounds like a catastrophe waiting to happen.

Instead I stick with Gemini Dollar and USD Coin, they're both far more transparent and have a live proof of funds page that shows you just how closely matched the circulating supply and their holdings are.

Tether has one too, but I don't trust it.
439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees high on: May 26, 2020, 05:29:41 PM
The fees will always increase when the network volume increases. This is because the amount of competition for blockspace increases during these times as more people try to move their money to and from exchanges.

Combine that with a bull run and you've got a recipe for high fees.

This is why it's important to consolidate your inputs when fees are low so you can save as much money as possible when things get worse later on. Also, switch to Segwit to cut your fees in half.
440  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many Courses did you take to become profitable? on: May 26, 2020, 04:57:22 PM
I've taken a few courses on Coursera, LinkedIn and platforms like NewsCrypto. However, I was profitable long before I actually took these courses.

That said, it's not too difficult to be profitable in an industry where nearly every major coin has had positive price trajectory. And since I got in relatively early I benefitted from some newbie gains in 2017.

Nowadays I turn around 1-2% per week in trading profits, but I only do it for an hour or so per week.
