I've been using Havelockinvestments.com for some time now. You can buy/sell different funds and securities on it, some giving out dividends, etc.
Never had a problem with the site, though you have to be weary of which companies you buy from, as they can end up being removed from the listings without much notice. Best to see which ones have a lot of volume and are actively providing updates on their situation and plans.
Never heard about the site you mention and i think it is risky upon checking the site i saw that the news is not upto date and the last update is 2015.. are you really investing in that site.. for me it is risky to invest there because i do not heard about that site..
I saw a reddit also that they are contacting the support but never ring the number..
This is the link where i found it https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4enwz1/havelock_investments_deadscam/

In terms of updates, I was more referring to the funds that are listed. If you go on them, there's an updates section, and some are updated quite regularly.

As for the complaints, I can honestly say I have never had issues with the site. I'm not saying the site is 100% legit, I'm just speaking from personal experience, and I understand why you would be hesitant to put money there. Most of the money I have on there is from sig campaigns and such, so if I lose it, it isn't a big deal, but I still hope to make something out of it down the road.

Klay Thompson's on fire... How do you stop them when he and Curry get it going? Warriors lead by 30 as of now and the 3rd qtr is not done yet. Its just amazing to watch them shoot so well. Good time to be alive for the spectators but, not for the opposition. Donno what will happen to the opponent's team morale after this. Coach has to work overtime tonight.

If he plays at a fraction of the level he played last night, I honestly don't think there is a way to stop it. That was just such an absurd performance from Klay, absolutely insane. I was skeptical about the Warriors bringing on KD, thought maybe there'd be too much starpower to get the ball moving around effectively... but they seem to be proving me quite wrong. The GSW looking real scary.

Imagine if they beat their 73-9 record this following year  Shocked

What a crazy night this was. So many incredibly close games, really tough night to hit ML predictions.

Derozan stepping out of bounds at the end there was so unlucky Sad

Any word on the situation? I just checked the site again, it's still offline.

As far as I remember, this stuff happens every now and again, so it'll be up again soon hopefully. But it is a little annoying that they don't keep us updated when this sort of thing happens.

Eyeing Hawks @ 1.55 for tonight. With Russell and likely Randle out of the picture for the Lakers, the Hawks should have an easy time this game, and the odds are looking really nice. Solid pick to add to your bet slips

Unfortunately, getting them involved is not the solution, and could end up causing more conflict than the resolve. The UN sure has a track record for it...

The only thing that can be done is to join them and give them all of our support, force the government to address the issue. Stuff up here in Canada is no better; alarmingly high suicide rates in their communities, insane amounts of missing aboriginal women cases that the government has been saying they would "investigate" for the past decade... it's really tragic and disgusting how neglected they are.

Really? I didn't know that about Canada. The women just go missing and no one does anything?

Sorry, I should say missing and murdered*, though the missing cases make up over a fifth, which is a pretty horrifying number. There's also a lot of uncertainty as to what the true numbers are, some speculate that they are much, much higher than those being reported.

But yes, aboriginal women experience much higher rates than other women. I saw a statistic that said only 4% of women in Canada are Indigenous, but they make up over 10% of female homicides. Another pretty shocking thing to note is that over half of the cases are believed to involve people who were complete strangers to these women, or simply acquaintances.

It isn't necessarily that nobody does anything, it's that they don't do enough. The police have often been criticized that they lead very poor and inadequate investigations into the matters, and the records they created after the fact are hardly ever complete. And the government up until a few years ago stated that they would launch further investigations if they felt they were needed, which never became a reality.

Trudeau has finally prioritized that now that he has taken the role of PM. Investigations are supposed to have started, with all parties backing the inquiry. Hopefully something positive comes of this, these communities desperately need it.

Canada drama is brewing..
Castanet - Kelowna News - Trudeau statement backlash

I seen that news earlier today and how our Prime Minister recently met with his son. (current leader)

I don't know i guess i sort of see the problem.
If the old guy was responsible for human rights violations then i guess our PM should have kept his mouth shut.

Our current PM said he was sad to hear the news etc.
Which caused people all over to get pissed off at him.
His father was a friend of Castro's, I'm not sure why people consider it to be shocking. Besides, the guy passed away, he's gone. Is Trudeau supposed to spit in his face and celebrate that?
They're the same people that have been criticizing him from the day he decided to run, none of that is new or dramatic.
Right hates him, Left loves him... who would've guessed.

Nobody will care in a few days anyway.
1430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Friday, January 20, 2017, let's pay attention to that date on: November 26, 2016, 04:40:26 AM
Good point, I'm interested to see how markets in general will react that day. Markets don't react to an event on their own, they react because people react. And there has been a hell of a lot of reaction across the world to Trump.
Of course, markets won't permanently stay that way. If people start dumping anything, it'll just be picked right up by a more sensible investor, and things quickly return to normal.

Despite the non-permanent effects, I'm still curious to see just HOW MUCH the markets will dip that day. Maybe this will present a good opportunity for us to get in on some short term investments Smiley
1431  Economy / Gambling / Re: Please research new sites before investing in them on: November 25, 2016, 12:40:27 PM
so hard to get good research done when all the sites are run anonymously
It is not exactly right that  anonymous status of casino owner is a drawback here. We don't know who are behind some major/trusted/old bitcoin casinos either.
But that doesn't mean service can't be trusted if full dox of owners is not available. Admins/owners like to protect their privacy in the same way gamblers do.
why the casino owners have to reveal their information ,
while they let you as player to gamble anonymously?
i agree both the players and owners have same rights to have a privacy protected ,
as long as the site well known in certain goup or community and get vouched i think it is ok.

Anonymity in some respect, is a blessing and a curse for both the internet and bitcoin. It's difficult to entrust somebody with your money when you have very little, if any, information about them. You've just always gotta be weary and look around on the forums as best you can. If its a really new site, best to either wait it out, or simply ask on here and get a discussion going. It'll benefit both you and the people that have been lurking around, waiting for an answer.
1432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 25, 2016, 12:34:42 PM
I'm interested rested to take under 203.5 points for today encounter Boston Celtics vs San Antonio Spurs, it seems San Antonio Spurs is more confident side and they have more better offense so they have chance to beat Boston Celtics in this encounter, but total outcome of the game would be under 190 points than I will take under 203.5 points.

This is gonna be a great game, I do think SAS will come out on top though. And under 203.5 seems a bit risky to me, both teams have been putting up 100+ points per game, I feel like they will either just barely stay under 203.5 or blow way over it. Just read a stat that during the minutes Al Horford has played, Celtics have outscored whoever they were facing by 46 points, biggest plus/minus on the roster. I feel like if he has another great night, the Spurs will put some offensive pressure in response, and could take it well over that target score.

Either way, really looking forward to this one Cheesy
1433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2016, 03:27:04 PM
Too many players botting already, and interest in the game has massively dropped off. I don't think this is a feasible idea. Also people who can easily access regional pokemon have an unfair advantage, as they can use this restriction to inflate the price of a pokemon that is otherwise very common wherever they are.
1434  Economy / Gambling / Re: Please research new sites before investing in them on: November 22, 2016, 02:40:35 PM
Its their own fault they risk thier own money without even ask people or search it for thier own good to see of the site is scam or legit.
Correct , the laziness will leads you into the hell and be broken + regret for get scammed and absolutely they're fault for be lazy search the site before invest their money. Bought site , shady activities , unresponsive support ticket and etc are commonly the scammy site do.

It only takes min 5 minutes to do this , and it won't be affect with you but that's worth it for your money.

well, that is not always true!

for example people who lost money on many of the casinos when they invested in them like moneypot for example did research about it and moneypot or any others are not scam at all.

or for example those of us who lost money on bitfinex, cryptsy, btter, mtgox,... did our research and apart from some signs in some cases they weren't scams but some day they decided to run away.

what i want to say is that investment is risky and there is no escaping that, and i think we should keep it in mind after we excluded the scam ones from our list.

I was talking more specifically about sites that end up being scams, not ones that have proven very legit so far. Losing money due to being scammed is very different than simply losing money through gambling.

And yes I agree, it will always be risky. But again, research and diversification will always help minimize damage.

What's going on with Toronto? They lost another game  Huh

Don't think it has much to do with Toronto, they had a solid game. It's just that the Clippers are playing absolutely out of their minds right now. They've definitely proven that they're the team to beat right now
1436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 22, 2016, 08:10:45 AM
The Utah Jazz are playing poorly at the moment and I couldn't trust them to cover the point spread tonight so I left that game alone. I didn't bet at all tonight on the NBA as I didn't really like anything except for the Bulls to cover the +1.5 point spread which it looks like they will as they are up by 7 points late in the 4th quarter but stupid me I didn't put it on as I didn't get home in time.
They are losing in the past games, I do not know how many losing streaks they have but most loses are not even close. I can't understand what happen to their system now, they had a good start in the this season, maybe at least they make a fight against denver so we can see value of our money.

The Jazz are currently on a 4 game loosing streak and sometimes it is hard for teams to break out of a loosing streak and now they have a 3 day rest which should refresh the team and hopefully come back fresh and ready to go against the Denver Nuggets at home. As I have been saying I'm really liking the Bulls this season as they are playing very well and competing well and beating some good teams. They even pushed the Clippers last night where I thought they might win the game but lost it in the 4th quarter. The Bulls could be a dark horse to win the NBA championship.
I think the reason the Bulls are winning is because of their physical style of play. They had successful runs like these under Thibs but injuries to key players always derailed their chances at another ring for Chicago. It is better to be rugged and grind out wins than be nice and lose ball games. If they can just have a healthy season, the Bulls could be among the teams that can challenge the Cavs for the Eastern supremacy.

I agree and to be honest I actually think it will be the Bulls and Cavs playing off in the Eastern conference finals which I think we be a great battle between the 2 teams. I agree the Bulls must stay healthy if you have any chance at reaching the Eastern conference finals. How good would it be to see Wade V James old team mates facing off for a spot in the NBA finals. I know it's still early on in the season but that would be an awesome match up.

Coming from someone that is a huge, huge Bulls fan, I don't think that they could push through that far.
We've got a lot of very talented youth on our team, around which a very solid team can be formed in the future, but that does mean we lose out in current games.
Health is also a big issue, the Bulls have a track record of having some of the most injury prone players, and picking up an old DWade isn't helping the cause.
I also don't think Hoiberg is a good fit for the team AT ALL. His in-game decisions in some of the games have been extremely questionable, and his system isn't one that's meant for this team. A lot of his offensive plays revolve around small ball shooting, textbook pace and space, but the system should be built around the players, not the other way around. Jimmy, DWade, and especially Rondo, are historically bad shooters. That's simply how it is. Having Rondo shoot at this point is a complete wasted opportunity, and I'd much rather see him utilizing his exceptional ball movement to feed low to Lopez, who I think could have a great season. They need to focus more on plays that will allow them to get to the bucket, rather than settling for long shots.
I just think there's too much within the Bulls organization that needs to be addressed, and I don't see them pushing to the ECF at this rate.

That being said, they've had a solid start, and hopefully they can start working out some of these kinks to make them more serious contenders.
1437  Economy / Gambling / Re: Please research new sites before investing in them on: November 22, 2016, 08:00:32 AM
Its really hard for someone to just write in google: "site_name scam or legit" and do research.

No research leads to blind investment, leads to lost.
But keep in mind that these research is also problematic since 1.Each can find pros and cons published on the same source, hard to know what to believe 2.Even the legit, clean, know, popular ones - can run away with your funds.
If you ask me how to keep safe as much as possible, I would say, yes, make a good research but always spread your risks.

It is tough to figure out which sites are essentially just hidden frauds. I remember there was this cloud mining site that played a very long-con game, and in the end just up and ran with the money. I think it isn't realistic to expect to be able to research a site and determine that it is 100% legit (at least not with the current state of the bitcoin world). That being said, doing research SIGNIFICANTLY lowers the likelihood of getting scammed, and is an absolute must if you're looking to invest in any site.

As you said, "spreading your risks" is probably the most important single bit of advice you could give anyone looking to start investing.

Steve Kerr is on fire.......about complaints in the officiating lol.

The focused of his criticism is when DeMar Derozan appeared to get away with the travelling penalty in their recent game against the Toronto Raptors. Well as usual, public complaints = fine and no one will get away from that.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/steve-kerr-complains-about-the-nbas-nightly-blooper-reel-of-missed-traveling-calls-185442220.html

I saw that and he did got away with the traveling. Anyhow, that's how the game works, missed calls are gone, and you can't do anything about it.

Yup, happened in the LAC/Bulls game at the end there as well. I love a good rant every now and then, but it's debatable whether that really makes the refs take extra care to make the right calls. I honestly think the officiating has been quite fair and equal, so there's nothing else you can do but just focus on the next game.
1439  Economy / Gambling / Please research new sites before investing in them on: November 21, 2016, 03:35:08 AM
I think we've all seen this far too many times; somebody invests in a site that has been clearly identified as a scam by others, and then comes to their forum page to ask the admin about their payment. Recent example of this is people still trying to withdraw/deposit to diggit, even though it has been over a year since the site has been confirmed to no longer be running.

Can we all just take the time to research sites and ask around before we entrust them with our money? It'll save you the pain of knowing you just gave away money you can't reclaim, and helps reduce some of the unnecessary spam on here.

Sure, we could dismiss this as the fault of the person not looking into the site, but we should always encourage each other to be wiser and ultimately help create a positive community.

Happy gambling Cheesy

hawks opened -1 and now over -4 ...

I cant find anything about any injuries or lineup changes which makes me think
they got a ton of money bet on them. I may follow the steam and take the ML.

All I'd seen about that game is that Noah is out for the Knicks. They're up at the half somehow, but it's just a 5 point lead so I'm confident the Hawks will still end up on top. This is not a game they should be losing...
