421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different ---- VPN & SYNC ---- YoBit & SafeCEX ---- on: February 06, 2016, 10:47:18 PM
I like to watch the market myself but the price means very little at this point.

In one week, we have 5 times more WARP addresses with balance. Some small-scale visible developments too, 3 exchanges, CoinMKTCap, the twitter tip bot, the web staking wallet, the price ticker, a faucet, and a dice game. I'm still working to bring you Multipool - for the miners out there - a lightweight client and a mobile wallet. Not to mention the first version of the VPN client, for which I can't yet officially comment on release date. Don't bother to ask.

Unfortunately, there are also downsides. We were attacked on several fronts recently, and at the same time. The dice game was one of them, as well as the faucet. Our forum (http://forum.warpcoin.com) was invaded with spam. Our website crowdfund database also attacked. These issues have been solved though, and nothing significant was lost.

About new exchanges, I will not search any further for new ones. I have tried to reach them by community request, to no avail. However, I know that WARP developments and progress dictate where and when it will be listed. My focus is to keep those developments going. That could be your focus too, if you're not only worried about a pump.

A week is a long time in crypto, and even with the downsides, so far so good. There are many more weeks to come, a lot to do, and a lot to be presented.
Like I said the other day, if you can't hold your coins for a couple of weeks, don't complain that is hard to profit in crypto.

If you are worried about progress, or if you genuinely want to help, feel free to PM me about this guy you know that can do this and that. I'm looking to innovate and apply even more integrations to WARP.

Edit: Around 40% of WARP wallets are currently staking, which is good, but let's try to pass 50%.

Thank you for the code inspection!

@boki15

I didn't understand your tone. In my way of seeing it, you came out as a bit aggressive. Pokeytex alerted me to it.
We have 60 people in the chat, I get a lot of PM's, I'm active here and I'm running the wheels in the background too. Plus, we have a lot of new users in the chat. I try to give the attention needed by level of priority. But if you have ideas you can talk, try me or the rest of the community. Not everybody needs to contact me individually about every detail. The rest of the users in the chat are super energetic and helpful. People come with new stuff themselves. And they most certainly get compensated for it. You don't need to be upset, I didn't try to put you off or anything.

@shapetwist - I have seen @boki15 post in other threads and I think there is a language barrier.  I think he doesn't mean to come across as offensive but with the language barrier it is appearing that way.  I think he is being genuine in his questions and solution.  Just my 2 cents.  Grin

Oh, I'm not aware of the style! To me sounded different.. Thanks for warning!

I'm happy to hear ideas and I encourage people to participate..

Faucet is nice, but...

  • There will be always somebody who will take these coins
  • Troubles with faucet? Disabling tor really helps? Who thinks this? If you let someone who cares about it's privacy go to this faucet => !!! inform that it is not working with tor addresses !!! or is your time nothing worth?
  • Why is this faucet on if problem has not been resolved at all??? You would need to block proxy, actually all IP's
  • Faucet becomes useless if it blocks everybody
  • Somebody will suggest you to use some crap like cloudflare
  • Cloudflare is great, only not if somebody gets around, then coins are again lost
  • You look for better solution, this one is not good at all Smiley

What is here conclusion???: you waste your coins and lower coins value as these coins could be dumped (even if there was never much in this wallet).

If this should not be the same coin like so many coins, then it has to be different, the same is for faucets. Games are always better than faucets with just kilck, I am human, no I am really human, hey I am human!, ok let's do the same until there is no funds in this wallet, continue when funds arrive, ....   => what should be purpose of this?? Promotion? It would be great if these coins are spreaded to many addresses but someone who invested 1 btc during ICO is staking less than these faucets would pay out => Conclusion => Huh Smiley, no that's not good for coin health if someone would ask me.

Make something that brings social contribution, like chess or any other multiplayer game, ahhh, ok, sharing the next idea, why don't you make agar server and use warps rewards as ranking system,..... (just be crazy in imagination....)

Hope you take it like critics, not like offense.

Are you talking about 250 coins or whatever it is?
Do you really think it hurts?

A faucet was made by a community member. It was suggested, nobody opposed. Not sure what are you rambling on..

If you want to talk about ideas, why don't you suggest them?

Good time 2 pick up coins if you missed the ICO!!! Price wont stay at this level for very long!!! Smiley

It will go down because the most people are impatient.

Or because they want to buy more..

Congrats on yobit! Things are moving along nicely for WARP.
5 days after ICO, look at the selling pressure. LOL. I'll be buying at ICO price in about 2-3 days. Maybe...

Pretty normal if you ask me. Some users will try to take profit and move on, or buy back cheaper.
It's a hard moment to ask for buy pressure, people need to see the developments... yet buy orders are way above ICO price.

Hey, thanks for the typo warning. I need some sleep  Cheesy

I thought about limiting the Slack channel before it goes out of hand. So happy with the community right now that I don't want it to be ruined. Nice and positive supporters out there are welcome. Smiley Thanks for the good words and incentive! I feel the WARP! Heh

I'm pretty active in the thread, but just for clarification, Slack channel is where I keep in touch live with the community. I use it on mobile too so I keep track of what's going on.

We have 39 members in a few days and the community is really nice. There are open invites if you'd like to join: https://warpslack.herokuapp.com/

Once we reach 100 members, invite will be only by manual email add. I want to keep a strong focused and supportive community.

About faucet and dice game:

Faucet is run by a community member. I donated the extra ~620 coins from the stake test to its balance.

Dice game:
First, it's not my thing either. But I agree we need places to spend WARP. Second, it's a safe and clean code, no worries about that, but the design is outdated and will need improvement. Third, the bankroll is only 1000 WARP at the moment, which are my personal funds. Fourth, use at own risk, but if you see something buggy please contact me.

Thanks for the information. Even if you didn't do this, still it is great for the benefit of Warp. Say, I was thinking if maybe Warp could get added into a cloud staking service like Staisybit? I know you don't have to do anything with it, but I am just suggesting as it will really benefit Warp. I will try to contact the site manager and see how it goes.  Smiley

I have been in contact with him since the beginning. It will be added. And with a fee that doesn't hurt WARP users since our staking is only 1% yearly.

Very nice, looking forward to future updates? Is it just you working on the project at the mo or are there more?

A bunch of people for different things.

- 3 people on the web wallet
- 2 people on electrum server + android wallet
- 1 person on integrating VPN
- 1 designer + front end dev

Plus myself and a few community people that jumped in to contribute with small tasks.

Cross Post from the Transfercoin thread. Changed it up for y'all. Pretty Cool.

So i was looking over the Safecex Exchange and found this "Instant Anonymous Exchange". It is like shapeshift basically. Check the link https://safecex.com/instant. Sent out a little tweet about it.

https://twitter.com/wigitgetit/status/694183633570017280

We know how hard it is to get on ShapeShift. Now you have a place to do this for Warpcoin.  Cool

Pretty neat Smiley
I enjoy the exchange, it's new but it looks solid. I like the aggregated order books, not sure if they are implemented yet though.
