421  Economy / Digital goods / Re: buying steam gift cards on: December 24, 2015, 08:55:44 AM
I'm not selling wallet codes, per se, but I'm looking to sell my Steam Account. It has ~$500 in TF2 items, LVL 30, 2 years old, and I have deep roots in multiple commmunities. I have brokered for many people, and i'm finally getting over steam. I'd love to sell my account before the winter sale starts hooking me in again, so PM me ASAP.

423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like Android or ios for mobile Bitcoin transactions? on: December 24, 2015, 04:41:10 AM
A computer is much, much safer than a phone. A phone's software is highly accessible, and apps like coinbase don't require a login by default after you've logged in once, and blockchain.info by default only requires a four letter pin, which consists of the numbers 1-9.

My computer on the other hand, has an antivirus that I actually feel safe with, not this "mobile" crap. And I use a randomly generated password, not some pin... ew...
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Oldest pending bitcoin transaction? on: December 24, 2015, 04:28:08 AM
Hey guys, I'd like to know if there was a way to find the oldest bitcoin tx currently in the mempool? I've been trolling a friend of mine, who keeps complaining that his tx hasn't bounced back to him yet, even though it's been pending for 9 days. Sad to say, I've been rebroadcasting his transaction, just to show what more of a dick I am Cheesy

So, what's the oldest tx that's still pending? Is it being rebroadcasted by a troll?
425  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Problems in Australia buying bitcoin on: December 24, 2015, 01:05:17 AM
I'm an Australian buyer. I don't have any problems when buying with localbitcoins :-/

I, personally hope the Australian government doesn't restrict bitcoin, it's a wonderful thing. I've already taken precautions, my friend shipped has shipped his miners overseas to my parent's house, in Sinagapore xD

I don't mine, should I?
426  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin always be dependent on fiat? Is it? on: December 24, 2015, 12:45:45 AM
Presently, it's obviously strongly tied to fiat. Maybe in a few decades, this will change, but not soon.

The current adoption of bitcoin to gold is pretty much 10000:1. Not very encouraging, is it?

Bitcoin has the potential to become fiat, but I think governments are just too greedy to make this happen. Only time will tell.
427  Economy / Economics / Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc on: December 24, 2015, 12:40:26 AM
Less than 1%. Waaaay less than 1%. Gold is much more stable, with a miniscule chance of loss. Bitcoin is a "higher risk, higher reward" kind of thing. It's volatile, but it's current trend is up.

Maybe give bitcoin a few years, and it'll reach somewhere near 50%? You really can't say at this moment.
428  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: December 23, 2015, 09:40:49 PM
Yes, I personally know many girls who use bitcoin. They mine, too! How weird is that!? (No offence) Even I haven't started mining yet :-/ is that bad?

Do elves use btc?

mine does but its not the high maintenance, excessive shopping type .either... it has no want or reason to spend its btc, incessantly..go figure Huh (or a place to spend it at) Embarrassed

They used BTC back in 2012, they're investment gods who know just what to invest in, and the profit they make goes into the presents that are given to you little boys and girls. *Chimney thunks* Oh, he's here!

430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many People Here Sell on eBay on: December 23, 2015, 02:46:09 AM
I'm an eBay seller, but if rather not reveal myself if I have to, thanks. I think bitcoin will be great on eBay, but to be honest, it won't change a thing. Not enough people use bitcoin for eBay to care. What I do, is convert my sales into bitcoin. Pretty much no difference.
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is bitcoin most important to you? on: December 23, 2015, 02:30:00 AM
I personally say 2. Not totally, but cost enough. It's an asset that had the potential to become a global currency, as it is borderless, peer-to-peer, decentralised, and has a super fast transaction speed if you get the mining fee right.

Besides that, I just love the magic of the blockchain. How an open ledger can keep users anonymous.
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: December 23, 2015, 02:24:34 AM
To be honest, not yet. It's close. Ill only thick of it as a currency when a country, be it small or big, accepts it officially. Right now I think of it as an asset, an investment, and some sort of small form of credit.
433  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Never trust an online wallet, for those who don't know on: December 23, 2015, 12:59:36 AM
anonymousx, i would like to know in which bitcoin wallet have you moved, people are having issue also with another online wallet - coinbase.
blockchain.info most probably. people tend to trust the site since it seem like there is no issues to them since the start.

I kept using blockchain as well as i just have small amount of bitcoin as i kept buying and cashing out for my needs. those that I send to my armoury wallet are the ones I just save but even that I still have less than 0.5 btc to that offline wallet.

Blockchain.info holds your encrypted wallet, and your password decrypts it. Blockchain.info truly is the safest online wallet, because they don't have access to your coins, like coinbase.

I personally user coinbase though, because I gold large sums of bitcoin in either investments or on my cold wallet.
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Capacity increases for the Bitcoin system on: December 23, 2015, 12:55:47 AM
A BIP update should already have been rolled out. We can all see the effects already, with the usual 0.0001 BTC TX fee, we are starting to have to wait multiple blocks. Recently, I withdraw from a gambling site which forced me to use the 0.0001 TX fee, and it took me 6 hours to withdraw.

Good to see bitcoin changing, not just all proposed changes.
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You have so much bitcoins collected. what did you bought?..or wanna buy?... on: December 23, 2015, 12:51:42 AM
To be honest, I'd really love to buy myself a house. But dreams usually stay dreams. I only have about 20 bitcoins, most of which are investments that aren't altogether trustworthy.

A dream that's more down to earth is using bitcoin to beef up my gaming rig Cheesy
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) on: December 23, 2015, 12:49:20 AM
About a month ago hope, I bought five bitcoin at $300 each. It seems I have the worst of luck. Straight after I bought, bitcoin rose to $350, hovered, then started dropping. I acted emotionally, and sold 3 BTC asap, and straight after, bitcoin rose to where it is now. Dang.
437  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB BTC with PayPal on: December 19, 2015, 07:27:44 AM
Paypal is reversible. Therefore "going first" really doesn't matter. You could file the payment as a "gift", but that's still risky. I would recommend you change your PayPal into Fiat first, before you try to pull your shady deals.

Hi,

No I will not charge back.

I'm having a tough time believing you. Mind giving us a more solid way to verify your integrity? Oh wait, we can't. Ugh.
438  Economy / Gambling / Re: sports bets on: December 19, 2015, 04:00:00 AM
Will you be focusing on any sport in particular? Cricket? Soccer? eSports?

Could you also post your accuracy ratio? I want proof so I know if the guy in trusting with my money isn't making wolf guesses. Maybe even or your reasoning in.
439  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: December 19, 2015, 03:54:31 AM
I buy after pretty much every prize drop. It's w
Quite profitable really. I've made more than two bitcoin from buying, holding for a week then selling. I'm actually write proud of myself, as I'm merely a novice at trading. The only other experiences I've had with trading is trading in-game items. xD
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any female BitcoinTalker around you? on: December 19, 2015, 03:49:51 AM
Well, not a bitcointalker, but a bitcoiner, yes. That's because I introduced her Wink

She's really interested in mining though, her family live overseas and have free electricity, so she bought an ASIC and shipped it back there and wired it to her own wallet. Free monies Cheesy
