I've sent you a PM.

Could you please clarify? How will you pay us? Will we need to provide you with our bitcoin address? Or will you reply to us what we have to do from after we PM you?

Also, what's a DM?

623  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: November 28, 2015, 03:32:39 AM
Well. This is a bitcoin forum, is it not? We all ate active on this forum because we believe that bitcoin will succeed. My obvious answer is bitcoin. It the original cryptocurrency and has a thriving and growing community. Beside the invention of quantum computers, bitcoin is destined for greatness.
624  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitcoinblackfriday.info - Do NOT use their website. on: November 28, 2015, 01:48:18 AM
How can you guys conclude that this is a scam? All i see are links :-/ isnt primedice's url primedice.com? I was almost thinking of depositing when I saw the alert at the top of the forum. Could you guys give me more info of what would happen if I actually deposited a few BTC?
625  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Armory vs Trezor on: November 25, 2015, 08:01:11 PM
I certainly believe that Trezor is better. I don't really know, but the idea of having a wallet separate from my computer gives me a whole new sense of security. Maybe it's because I get a computer virus once a year, but to me, Trezor is alot better. I trust Trezor more than I trust myself, to be honest.
626  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Gold the root of all evil? on: November 24, 2015, 09:37:57 PM
Gold is not evil in itself. It's is that's evil. We used gold as a currency, and people are naturally greedy, no matter how touch they are. It's a way of life.

We shouldn't hate gold. We should encourage each other to not be greedy. Greed and hate have caused more bad things than those you listed in the OP.
627  Economy / Economics / Re: Thoughts on "holding" Bitcoin on: November 24, 2015, 09:32:39 PM
The problem is that bitcoin is alot more volatile than the US dollar, and people look at the price chart and say, "Heyyy... +EV!"

That's how hodling all started. The US dollar is basically staying in the same place. Why would you want to hold that?
628  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: November 24, 2015, 09:28:03 PM
Well, it really matters about what you're using your bitcoin for. If it's for:

Short-Term Investment - Price matters
Long-Term Investment - Price doesn't matter, the trend matters.
Everyday Spending - Does not really matter

But if you are a fully invested bitcoin enthusiast, price really matters, as if bitcoin crashes, youre basically homeless. No money left. Zip, Nada.
629  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Todays worth of bitcointalk accounts on: November 24, 2015, 09:04:39 PM
A Legendary could be sold for 1-1.5 BTC,
A Hero could be sold for 0.4-0.5 BTC
A Senior Member could be sold for 0.1-0.2 BTC
A Full Member could be sold for 0.05 BTC
A Member could be sold for 0.02 BTC

Dont. Just don't try to sell anything below that.
630  Economy / Economics / Re: Companies that pay in Bitcoin ? on: November 24, 2015, 11:45:22 AM
It depends what the company is. If it is a bitcoin company, say coinbase, it would probably give the option, as everyone is smart enough to have a basic idea of what the company root work for is all about.

But somewhere like MacDonalds? I really don't feel that have an incentive now l nor need to switch to bitcoin
MacDonalds is doing just fine paying out in fiat.
631  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you use Bitcoin? A report to determine it's competitive advantages. on: November 24, 2015, 11:41:42 AM
I think of bitcoin as a sort of currency. I buy things with it, and if the price goes up, I'm happy. Everything becomes cheaper for me. Bitcoin has a fraction-of-a-cent TX fee, as compared to western union's $5 TX fee, and its safe than PayPal, sure to its decentralization. And also less scams, as there is no bitcoin chargeback.
632  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Is it possible to guess a privkey? on: November 24, 2015, 11:38:29 AM
As the title asks, is it possible to guess a privkey/generate an existing wallet's privkey? I'm quite interested about how mining for a bitcoin address works. Is it kind of the same thing as mining a block, guessing combinations of numbers and letters (the privkey) to unlock the code (wallet address), or is it some other kind of algorithm?

I've used vanity miner before, and I've tried guessing an existing address, but according do vanitygen, it takes more than a billion years on average to solve. Assuming I was lucky enough to mine the exact same address, could I get the privkey?
633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 5 confirmations in 16 minutes ? on: November 24, 2015, 11:30:45 AM
Wow, you're one lucky guy. I just recieved a transaction, and I had to wait two whole hours to get the confirmations.

What you thought was correct. The miners were probably very lucky, and guessed the nonce combination on average every 3 minutes. That's surprisingly fast, considering the current difficulty. May I ask, could you give us the TX hash, so we can see what pools mined those blocks?
634  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My Solo Mining Experiment, two years. starting with 3 S3s and 1 U3. on: November 24, 2015, 06:53:20 AM
Good luck. It really doesn't matter if you don't hit a block within 2 years. Give yourself 10 years, and you will at least mine 1-2+ blocks. That's surely a ROI, considering you get 25 bitcoins a block (Ugh. With the upcoming halving, let's say 12.5 BTC a block...) Good luck, and now that I think about it, it actually might be great investing in a few S3s or maybe even funding my Bit-X account xD

640  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.045 BTC Loan on: November 24, 2015, 05:31:17 AM
I'm not using my account for collateral... I'm using a fill member account, clean rep, etc...

I've taken and given loans before, do you see a --ve on me for scamming? No! If I wanted to scam, id scam on steam, where my account is trusted, not here. I need to buy something on sale here in Australia.

its still your account you are using as collateral. no matter if its the one you used in writing this thread or not but the fact is you are still using a forum account as collateral  makes no difference

My accounts together are worth more than 0.05. You of all people should know. If you keep my full member account and -ve this account, I'll lose more than 0.05. Why would I want that?

the main point is "using account as collateral" the value of your account/s might be above .05btc but still you are using your account as collateral and that is what Vod and MRKLYE pointing out.

Most people with loan services here ask for valid collateral, which one of the examples they list is "BitcoinTalk Accounts", so why aren't you guys accepting it? I can add that I have a valuable steam account that you guys can -rep me on steamrep on, if I scam you.
