421  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: May 02, 2017, 07:54:42 PM
My worst decision - getting hooked on heroin. If I had saved all the bitcoins I spent on drugs, I'd be retired now. I also got scammed out of 20 bitcoins years ago when they were about $4 a piece. Still, se la vi. I'm off the dope and trying to invest smartly. There's still a lot of money in crypto to be made.
422  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: May 02, 2017, 07:50:27 PM
I'd guess 20-30% but it will be some sort of indirect form of it.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PREANN [TILT] A Poker Player's Cryptocurrency on: May 02, 2017, 04:36:12 PM
I'm enjoying the free rolls. Gotta admin though, I'm rusty on my poker game. Thanks, Dev.
424  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do conservative worldwide oppose "drugs" legalization? on: May 02, 2017, 02:21:00 PM
As someone who is conservative and just celebrated a year of sobriety, I'm all for it. I probably lean more towards decriminalization than legalization but I think it's time. The ban only profits drug dealers and criminalizes people with addiction issues. Portugal has been a great example of decriminalization working.
425  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: May 02, 2017, 02:16:21 PM
I'm diversified in both - gold as more of a safe haven and bitcoin as more of a speculative investment. That being said, if you're looking for precious metals growth, I'm more of a fan of silver. The relationship between platinum and gold is also inverted right now which doesn't happen often. It's not a bad time to pick some of that up.
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we expect "average Joe" to remember passphrases to his Bitcoins? on: May 02, 2017, 02:13:11 PM
I think as biometric security becomes better and more common place it will have a part in solving this problem. I do think the OP brings up a good point, though. It doesn't take much to scare the 'average joe' off.

There is no way in hell that 4268 addresses were collected from the community.  It's blatantly obvious that the majority of those addresses belong to the dev.  The airdrop was a huge premine for the dev.

There is no way to please you people, you are blaming the developers for what, assuming he screened out some addresses you people will be the one crucifying him for doing so, to me the distribution is fair, 33000 token is huge provided the price hit the roof, even 0.00001BTC means 3.3BTC to every genesis address holder
3.3 btc for 47 years, that's not sounds a lot. Its a literal airdrop to have a good community and for the coin to move, but since now, no movement at all.
0.00001btc means 3.3BTC for 33000 MNE? hahaha , 0.33BTC is right.

True, and it's actually 32,000 in the genesis address so .32BTC. Still, the original point stands. The coins were distributed freely and if they ever reach even a fraction of that it's a gift. Even if it does take 40+ years to collect.
428  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you plan to sell? on: May 02, 2017, 12:18:50 PM
What is your exit point? Where will you sell your coins? How much % of your stack will you sell?
Looking at the current bitcoin development, many people try to get bitcoin and then expand it as capital to multiply it. Because bitcoin has become the next gold of the future

Future?? It is the gold from years now and became an investment very early, seeing the pump which is happening right now as we speak I'm thinking of selling some of it reaches $1500 in coming days. That'll be a good profit for most of us.

Yeah. $1500 would be the base amount for me to sell as well. But I want to hold as much bitcoin as I can. If some situation come up and I need to sell, then I will sell it at $1500 and probably buy more again in my emergency situation is already settled. I hope greed will not conquer others because it will do you more harm later. If you think that you have profited enough then sell it because maybe later the price will go down.

I'm not sure that we will soon see 1500 dollars. On the contrary, most likely the price will fall. So now is the best time to sell. But for those who will keep a long time, it's too early to sell

It may hit $1500 today, very close right now. Still, I wouldn't be surprised by a slight pullback.

Yeah, it doesn't bother me that multiple IP's registered either.

I figure if the co-founder of Ethereum is bothering to follow Minerium on twitter then it must have something going for it.

Agreed. They were given away for free. No one has anything to lose here.

Personally, I don't think the Dev has most of the addresses. I'm sure plenty of people registered multiple accounts through IP spoofing, but it is what it is. I registered and was able to collect just fine.

I have a whole wallet I might sell if somebody gives a good offer.

This has been discussed ad nauseam. There's no way to securely sell a whole wallet as you'll always have the private key.

Holy Crap !! why should u use a newbie account to make a trade guys. please ! doin this seriously so no one will be fooled
or maybe you are really Newbie... no offense !
i have some, write in PM for the best offer. not under 0.0001 each

If that's directed at me, I realize I have a low number of posts - hence the escrow offer. I've been registered here four years longer than you...

No my friend.. you are all good ! refer to use escrow is good deal, I just gives my opinion, I dont have any intend to mocking anyone here.

No worries, I got overly defensive. I'd be wary of making trades with someone with as low as post count as myself too, lol.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] BlackBit Project soon on: April 27, 2017, 02:48:53 PM
It's an interesting question as to whether bitcoin can survive once the minting has ended. I'd like to think so. Regardless, you have an interesting concept. Best of luck and I'm interested in how the free coins will distributed as well.
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [Minereum] Minereum trading thread on: April 27, 2017, 02:37:59 PM
ahaha 0.004 btc for a minereum coin ahahahaha.
you guyz are f..kin crazy really.

I have a feeling that's going to be a steal one day. At this point, though, I agree. People are asking too much for a coin that's just in it's infancy. There's seems to be more interest in selling than buying right now anyways. I got them for free; despite my earlier post, I think I'll hold on.

I'd also be willing to sell some if anyone wants to PM an offer. Since I'm not much of a poster, I'm happy to use an Escrow service. Thanks!

EDIT: No longer selling.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Launched: PiCoin [POS+POW] [SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN=AIRDROP] on: April 13, 2017, 08:23:47 PM
I'd like to get in on this.  Where do I store the PiCoin and how can I add my signature?

First you have to get your activity up to 10. Then there's a signature that you can add from the first post that relates to your experience level.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Launched: PiCoin [POS+POW] [SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN=AIRDROP] on: April 13, 2017, 03:47:20 PM
Hello, I changed my signature, can you please add me to the list? Thanks!

440  Other / Off-topic / Re: Smartphones are vital to bitcoin growth on: April 12, 2017, 06:55:44 PM
Bitcoin is not mobile-friendly as the blockchain is huge (SPV is not secure as a full node), confirmation times are long and fees are high.

Good point, I do believe that cell phones are going to be a vital part of the cryptocurrency revolution. Whichever coin integrates the best will be the most successful in the long run.
