I deposited 0.005 BTC but don't see it listed under my investments. The transaction isn't confirmed yet however, is that the cause?

API issues equals site is falling apart, the truth of the matter is that api's don't usually ever fail and volume would not cause an api to fail. Blockchain's api is more than capable of handling your volume its limitations within 5 minutes are 700 requests.
You are totally wrong. API's do fail. BlockChain.info currently is the worst choice, and they DO BLOCK API access instantly without warning, when their limits are exceeded. Also, Projects like these can only use blockchain.info WITHOUT API KEY, because they don't give them out to ANY this type of Projects, so the limitations are LOW. To be more correct, BlockChain API's do fail often. This is why we are now switching to BlockTrail API - https://www.blocktrail.com/apiThey have MUCH Better limitations, and they actually do warn you, if there is an issue with the API Requests. In the meantime update your website with the payments which were made yesterday. Developer made a simple "script", which will go through every deposit missing, and add them to the table with a single click, but we can do that only when the API is online, otherwise we can loose track of deposits missing and not, which we really do not want to happen. I can't find my payment in website. I tried to send request via e-mail, but broken... Out of subject , I'm just having a break and watching Bitcoin price going down and down,..
how low can it go ? are we about to see new ATL right at the beginning of 2016 ?
Some are speculating the beginning of the end of btc, search for bitcoin is dead somewhere on forum (ill edit link here once i find it again). I'm being a bit more optimistic though, its just that there's a few negative factors working right know, and since btc isn't the most stable currency, well, you see whats happening. I do believe however somewhere someway people will reinvest thus making btc rise again, hopefully :p |

Talked to the (or one of the) developer(s) of encraft: I can guarantee you they're working on new API implementation (blocktrail instead of blockchain) because since the start I told to Encraft to not use blockchain.info's API because they would banned their IP, and this happened yesterday.
That's why his team started to work on new API implementation because getting IP banned.
Hope they'll get it fixed soon, as BTC prices keep plummiting... |

Yea, makes you think for a while... But one question to see if I fully understand:
Everything is almost the same as a year ago, apart from the congestion of the blockchain, and the only problem is that the block sizes will not be augmented?
What if everyone would stop using bitcoin core and transferred to XT, then you'll get like 2 sides:
1 side that is either ignorant or related to the so mentioned 10 people,
and the other side will be the one who favors decentralisation.
If only enough people would see that, could that make this problem reversible? Or is it really too late for that?
I'm not expert whatsoever so I might miss some basic knowledge, but still... If it were possible this way, and we could get enough people to vouch for XT?
Perhaps I am too hanging to closely to this idea that it will be fine in the end, but a little hope is allowed no? :p
