I think it is better to see if the fix is working or not before ETN buy more hashpowers. I hope we will discover it fast.
The fix is about integrating the transactions in the blockchain? I am not a blockchain expert. But i suppose it is the problem as the last 2 blocks don't have any transactions.
I dont know if it's already there but, i think right now its very important that NANOPOOL and ETN TEAM stay in close contact. Because nanopool is active and responding fast. Anyway, the problem should be solved now and nanopool added the fix on there pool also. What is now the reason we cant find new blocks? Pure the low hashrate versus the difficulty? Or are we struggling with another bug / rejecting blocks? I think (i readed the reddit, and the fix should be easy. Little problem with big sh1t results) we are just strugling with the high diff right now. |

I do nothing with the old chain, they can do nothing with it. The mainpower is backed in the app, site, marketing and everything, and thats in the new blockchain. The old chain will be forgotten so that's not the problem, but we need to let the new chain fly. Everybody, put ur miners to the new chain (like on etn.nanopool.org)! I'm also wondering why the difficulty is going slightly higher with every block we find... shouldn't it go lower since the block took a longer time to be mined? I guess there are some moving averages taken into account which is why the Electroneum team said they need help with the first 27 blocks, maybe that's how long it takes for the blockchain to adjust into the average times of the last blocks. But still.... block 307499 was at 96.6kkk diff. and now we're at 178.6kkk !! Let's hope that the whatever patch the team issued will be inserted into the pools and help fix the issue. The problem is not so much the diff. as it's the rejection of mined blocks for some technical reason I have not understood. Nanopool and Spacepools have this patch so let's support either of them. EDIT: AND FOR GOD'S SAKE, AVOID MINING ON OTHER CHAINS!!! WE'RE ONLY LOSING POWER FROM THE MAIN CHAIN MAKING THINGS SLOWER Whatever the supporters of forked chains are promising you, is not gonna happen, use your brains and don't be scammed. Totally agree!! Before you all agree and fill 5 pages of this thread with requests to the team about buying NiceHash power, check their Twitter/FB page and try to understand that the problem is not ONLY the hashrate. 24 hours ago they explained that blocks are failing even though miners "mine" them and 10 hours ago they issued a fix, asking pool owners to update from github. Maybe a little extra hashrate would help... but that would be like having a barel with one hole that's losing water, and what you do is fill the barel with more water in order for the level of water to stay still! Better fix the holes in my opinion! And before u say this read my comment, nanopool added the fix, i also told that ETN was helping, but ETN was helping at the time we had this bug so all blocks get rejected during there hashpower rent. Now it should be fine on nanopool, but the hashrate is much much lower now so we need the hashes again, well that's how i understand it. look at etn.nanopool.org they added the fix from ETN. So the old chain will continue, sorta like ETN Classic? lol only to be ruled by ASICS Am I wrong here? so the new chain ETN will still be called ETN what will they call the old chain then  and how are exchanges separating the 2 coins now ETNC and ETN maybe lol probably, just like when monero forked and that resulted in monero original, 2 monero classics, and i forget the other ones name. I'd be surprised if bitmain didn't try to keep the old chain going. ETN team needs to get all gpu pools to update to new chain, like yesterday...... It is incredible that the difficulty is going higher after each block... The price of ETN did decrease and the network is slower. I don't know how the difficulty is calculated.
With my Nvidia GTX 1080, i can only mine 1 ETN per day at the current difficulty. But let's continue to mine it until the network is normalized.
ETN is one of the best project.
Yeah its sad, i got 1 payout on nanopool; 2.4etn with an R9 290 tri-x (oké probably its faster then ur 1080 on cryptonight, still a shame). I just keep mining but it's a waste of everything what i am doing right now. This is also the last thing i will do for this coin, if it's not fixed in 1 week i'm gone here. I see the biggest miner also just left (with 2-4Mh/s is gone / ~4,000,000.0 H/s) on nanopool. They needed 2-3 months for testing an update, and they release an update with a big big bug. That's just stupid, while in the meantime they where using there own asics on there own coin. ETN Team helped to get this high diff, so it's up to them to get the diff lower also. For now i will keep mining, but if people are leaving it only get harder, in the meantime ETN does nothing to help us, we are all helping for this coin but 0 hashes from ETN themself? |

With 62000 khs at 180 million difficulty. Nano pool should at least get 1 block every 1-2 hours why no block at all  It's at 25,000kh/s which is nothing for 180,000,000 difficulty (1.5Gh/s Net Hash). That's 1/60 of the old network hash. Mining this coin like this is a meme. You guys go ahead and burn your electricity I'll hop in when it's all sorted out. supernova appears to be on the old chain. what miner are you using? what algo are you trying to mine with? cryptonight or v7? Well, being as we have forked I switched to V7 with Claymore on suprnova and that did not work. The pools had bloody ages to switch and they are just lazy! this pool is on cryptonight_v7 so if u want to mine on the new blockchain, u can use nanopool. So put ur miners to nanopool till other pools are ready with the fork. |

But good to hear this. a block is a block! its working then Guys, something goes wrong with almost all miningpools. the only pool i can find what is up to date is etn.nanopool.org, however they are not the one who is finding blocks. whattomine.com looks like they updated ETN, they are on blockheight ~307600. Exchanges are still on old chain, pools are still on old chain and they are doing there transactions (ofc, on the old chain). Something goes totally wrong in here, even pools are going back to the old chain?!?! So what pool was finding the 307500 block? And it looks like the electroneum blockexplorer is also not working/hanging?? When all the pools where going back to the old chain, directly ETN twitter and facebook is 0 contact.. what is happening here?? So anyone already mines with Gpu? do you feel the difference? (for example todays coins per hour in compare to yesterday)
Unfortunetly mine power supply burnt this week and i can't test it by mtself ;-(
Whattomine.com doesn't show much difference but probably it needs much more time (more than 24 hours) to get the proper results...
i am mining on nanopool however we cant find blocks so i dont know about the payouts. So i dont know if something goes wrong, or that we just need a lot more miners so the diff can go lower after finding blocks. For now we cant find any blocks (almost 12 hours mining on the new chain). What pool got the first block on the new blockchain? |

I hope it gets back to normal soon. I have an interrupted transaction (not on MPH). I hope not lost.
Edit: Looks like MPH switched back to the new chain, but still having problems.
Cryptopia is on the same block as ETN V7, that is not what whattomine is showing. Whattomine is on the old chain, only pool i can find right now is etn.nanopool.org they are on the right chain. So lets mine! Also it looks like MPH is down so.. Sad i tought MPH would be the first pool on the new blockchain, was waiting with my miners.. |

That looks like the old chain not the correct new version! That is a new url (v7).. why would they display the old blockchain? It also shows the difficulty going down which is what to be expected. That looks like the old chain not the correct new version! That block height also got showed by the pools what are on the old chain. Well a block on the real chain was found so I guess the fork is working.
How you are going to resolve this, MPH?
https://etn.nanopool.org/ is working on the current new chain (also look at ETN twitter and facebook). For the pools what ''switched'' back to the old chain are doing something wrong. All pools should switch as fast as possible to the new ETN version (Cryptonight V7) so we can find new blocks on the new chain, after every block the diff get lower so the blocks goes faster. When some pools without any reason go back to the old chain, the new chain will stay slow and the diff will stay high. So switch asap to the newest version and don't go back to an old not supported chain.. Copy from the etn.nanopool site: nanopool

Anti-ASIC fork resulted in a dramatical hashrate drop in ETN network.
We are expecting network difficulty to stabilize in a few days,
however finding next blocks could take up to several hours.
Due to that ETN payments are stopped until the network is back to normal #ETN My suggestion is to go to nanopool and if u want to go on miningpoolhub, wait till miningpoolhub are updated to the new chain. I also prefer miningpoolhub as poolsite, but for now i will be on nanopool till miningpoolhub is updated. |

After a Windows (automated) Update the problem is back... 1 (random) GPU drops hashrate after like 30 seconds the miner is running. sgminer and avermore both latestversion have the same problem.
Anyone an idea how solve this?
[/quote] For me only a clean windows 10 (i guess ur using windows 10) by using an bootable usb stick fixed the problem. I already test the next things what didnt solved the problem: 1. DDU for uinstalling all the AMD drivers, reinstalled with different versions of AMD (blockchain, 15.12, newest) 2. factory reset what is build inside the windows 10 options 3. disabled intel hd graphics Only solution for me was to totally reinstall (so first format, install) windows 10. Also firefox, chrome,opera can give u this errors/crashes/freezes since the big windows 10 update. |

I would like some explanations on aro.cool.
I have been mining for a few days at 16 H/s. I get paid approximately 10 ARO daily.
But when I search my wallet address on aro.cool, either in current shares or historic shares, I find nothing at all.
Questions:
- why does my wallet not appear on aro.cool?
- what is current shares?
- what is historic shares?
Finally how is my reward (10 ARO) determined?
Ok, let me try and explain how it all works - why does my wallet not appear on aro.cool? Your wallet address will only appear on aro.cool if you have found a valid share of the current block. A valid share means you have found a nonce with a lower value than 1-4mil. If that block is then consequently found by that particular pool, then you will be paid for your "work" done in solving the block. If the block is NOT found by the pool, your shares will go to historic shares. As soon as the next block is found, all your work done according to historic shares will be paid. Bear in mind however, for every block that is not found by the pool, your historic shares reduce in value by 5%. Also, after you have been paid, if you find no more shares for a while, your address will disappear from the shares list. As soon as a share is found by you again, your address should show again. The only difference with this now is that aro.cool, the pool itself, is counted as a miner on aropool.com. The total hash rate from aro.cool is pointed towards aropool.com. So you are technically now mining on aropool.com, but as a collective from aro.cool. As soon as aro.pool earns 1000 ARO, it is split accordingly to the miners, depending on hash rate and work done. what is current shares? Current shares are the "work" you have done towards finding the current block. what is historic shares? Historic shares are the "work" you have done towards finding previous blocks that were NOT found by the pool. I hope this makes a little more sense now. Great and clear information, thanks. |
