421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you deal with friends/family when they lose their investment? on: March 10, 2018, 04:12:09 PM
Thats why you never pitch cryptocurrencies to your family/friends. There is always a chance of them making a loss or getting their coins hacked due to some small mistake. Cryptocurrencies are still in the infancy and is still a bit away from release for the mainstream.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to have many altcoins or it is enough to have few? on: March 10, 2018, 04:03:19 PM
You should invest a large portion of your money into 2-3 coins while invest a small percentage into low market cap coins. As these are the coins that are going to give you the x10-100 you are looking for. Investing most of your money in large market cap coins reduces the risk factor for your investment.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DIVI project * The next 500x ? LOW SUPPLY WARNING*** on: March 09, 2018, 04:58:45 PM
500x for a token is stretching it a bit. And that too when the token hasn't even showcased much. These are the reasons why more and more scam coins are popping up.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is NEO a good future invest !!?? on: March 09, 2018, 04:55:41 PM
There cant be a better time to invest in NEO than now. NEO is the number 1 coin in China. You can't really go wrong with that. Also NEO is at a low price right now.
425  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we need price crashes and panic selloffs on: March 08, 2018, 04:34:32 PM
Price crashes are a way of whales to make loose hands dump their coins. This way only the true believers in the coin stick and are more likely to hodl their coins and not just here for get rich quick.
426  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: March 08, 2018, 04:31:33 PM
By now almost all the billionaires know about Bitcoins. If they don't then they probably are living under a rock or are pretty much retired from life. I can't think of any investment manager who wouldn't had pitched cryptocurrencies to their clients, given the amount of returns it is giving.
427  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet is the best? on: March 08, 2018, 04:07:58 PM
The physic wallet you are referring to is known as hardware wallet. And hardware wallets are the most secure of them all. I can recommend Trezor and Ledger when it comes to hardware wallets. They both are trusted wallets and have been here for a few years now.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Should I do as a newbie? on: March 07, 2018, 05:42:58 PM
Well mining Bitcoin isn't feasible now for small players but you can still invest in cryptocurrencies to make a dive into this world. Also research into altcoins with great dev teams behind them which are still undervalued. As those are the coins that will give you nice returns.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you miss about crypto? on: March 07, 2018, 05:38:04 PM
What I really miss is the acceptance by politics. Politicians should really start to look into the whole crypto world.
They should start to understand how the cryptocurrencies could be used in everyday life. At least in Germany, I don't see any politician talking about Bitcoins oder Altcoins because they just ignore it.
It's seen as a trend that will disappear soon, but that's not the case. Cryptocurrencies are here to stay and will be developped further.
Politicians are actually accepting it. If you are current with the crypto news than recently the CFTC chairman of US made very positive comments regarding cryptocurrencies and basically gave his green light to the cryptocurrencies.
430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do We Need Social Media Promotion on: March 07, 2018, 06:31:43 AM
Yes, we do need social media to help the campaign reach far and wide, but one of the most used and popular social media, Facebook, banned Bitcoin and is about to do the same to other alts, but BTC still survived, guess we don't need them as much as we thought
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some of my friends still think Bitcoin is scam and Ponzi on: March 07, 2018, 06:28:27 AM

at times its wise to stay silent and let people be, after you've tried your best and even showed them examples and they still don't believe bitcoin is legitimate, its time to take a step back, get busy and let them watch you get rich.
432  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Will SegWit be enough to reduce fees? on: March 05, 2018, 09:03:02 AM
Currently, segwit is enough to reduce the fees. The fees for segwit transactions is going as low as 1sat/byte and I think its reasonably fair to say that we won't have to get into the topic of looking for a solution to reduce the transaction fees for a long time. Also, with lightning network coming there isn't much need for fees to get lower as LN fixes that issue.
433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is holding bitcoin Greedy? on: March 05, 2018, 08:57:59 AM
Buying Bitcoin was an investment that you made, then how come hodling your investment is greed? Hodling is actually good for Bitcoin as it reduces the supply and thus increases the value of Bitcoin. There's nothing wrong in using Bitcoin as a store of value.
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: March 05, 2018, 08:54:02 AM
You can lend your Bitcoins to margin traders on exchanges. While this will give you a nice return but you are at a risk of losing your coins if the exchange gets hacked. Although you can lend small amounts on different exchanges and divide your loss risk.
435  Economy / Speculation / Re: I BUY GOLD OR BITCOIN? on: March 05, 2018, 08:51:04 AM
Bitcoin and Gold are two things completely opposite. Gold is a hedge for your money, while Bitcoin is a risky and volatile currency whose purpose is to decentralize your money and take it out of the hands of government. If you are OK with mediocre returns then Gold would be a safe bet but if you are looking for high risk high reward than Bitcoin is your bet.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who uses myetherwallet? on: March 05, 2018, 02:15:24 AM

I use MEW and haven't been disappointed so far, everything is kept simple and easy to use and understand, supports a number of coins and is fast. my only concern is its online presence, everything is done online which might be risky. so long as you keep your private key to yourself the everything will just be fine.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you find your news? on: March 05, 2018, 02:10:13 AM

438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way to keep bitcoins? on: March 05, 2018, 02:01:10 AM

I think hardware wallets are the safest way to keep cryptocurrencies.  the cryptos are stored offline and gives the owner total control of his wallet activities. They also give the user a chance to verify transactions before completing them. You can customize the hardware wallet to what makes you feel safest.
439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin affects students' performance in school on: March 05, 2018, 01:49:37 AM
As far as I can observe being a teacher, I am definitely happy that my students are involve in cryptocurrencies and they earn for themselves and help their families. But, their school perfomance is getting worse. Please give your thoughts how will you help students to earn and at the same time it won't affect their school works?

In this case , the students should be trained on how to stick a balance between class work and bitcoin, with specific time limits allocated to both. Not too much BTC involvement and less class work. make them understand that cryptocurrency is a risky business and needs education as a backup to make them understand its operation more.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are Your Greatest Fears As a Bitcoin Holder? on: March 05, 2018, 01:45:18 AM

My greatest fear is waking up one day to realize that BTC is valueless, the time, cash and energy iv put into BTC is way too much to lose overnight. just not sure what my reactions would be in such an unlikely case scenario. but ill probably go into coma
