4201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can`t be tamed by futures trading ~ Price went up 10% in minutes on: December 12, 2017, 07:37:22 AM
Love it. All the FUD before the future trading started. BTC will drop in price etc etc blah blah.

What happened. The trading platforms website crashed in minutes and Bitcoin rose 10% in five minutes.

Go home Wall Street boys. You can`t tame Mr Bitcoin.

There was indeed a lot of FUD about how futures trading will completely ruin bitcoin or will completely crash bitcoin when it was to scheduled to start. But it turned out to actually be nothing special and actually boosted bitcoin price a whole lot.

In my opinion, futures trading or not, bitcoin is going to be bitcoin day end. We hold the real bitcoin, they're trading fake bitcoins. Sure it's going to be manipulation, but it shouldn't affect the long term bitcoin growth.

This is why you never listen to FUD, and never listen in fomo market conditions as well. Make up your own decisions.
4202  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret selling your BTCs? on: December 12, 2017, 07:35:04 AM
Obviously, who doesn't regret selling their bitcoin?

But the thing is nobody would have told you with confidence and bet you all their life savings that bitcoin was going to be this high at this current time. So it could have went both ways and it turned out that the holders have been correct.

The rally could ahve ended on $2k if the august 1st events messed up, but it didn't. These were all unpredictable.

Plus, if you had to sell bitcoins for your personal use or an emergency, there was really nothing to avoid it.
4203  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 20K+ on: December 12, 2017, 07:16:14 AM
Obviously this has not happened yet, even on the Korean exchanges.

Though if the current trend can continue next year then this wouldn't be far away at all. Right now after the correction we stand at $16-17k comfortably with some room upwards still. $20k is within eyesight, and isn't a dream like it was a few years ago.

A lot of people are concerned about the bubble popping before $20k is hit, but in my opinion if the bubble pops next year or this year, $20k will be hit first before the bubble pops.

Just going with the market trend right now, the rebound was very very strong.
4204  Economy / Speculation / Re: What does the Chinese market now consist of? on: December 12, 2017, 07:11:27 AM
They're still mining like mad, there must be many thousands of people who hold some BTC still.

How are they trading? Is there masses of OTC and P2P? Is it possible for them to get on Korean and Japanese exchanges?

Many predicted that after their big fat congress they'd reinstate some sort of exchange functionality. That doesn't appear to have happened.

Will they go for a full clamp down including attempting to squash non centralised trading?

Looking at the amount of trade offers on localbitcoins that involves the payment method fo eiher wechat pay, chinese national bank transfer, or alipay, it is clear to me that a lot of people in china has moved to p2p trading.

Also wouldn't be surprising at all if people now had wechat groups that specialise in selling/buying of bitcoin.

Of course, if they have connections they can use the other asian exchanges as well in Japan/Korea. But to my knowledge that is not a big trend. So i would say that majority of volume has simply gone p2p, and china is still with us "invisibly".
4205  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hashflare.io SCAM WARNING: Takes BTC, Provides Nothing, Doesnt Reply on: December 12, 2017, 07:02:35 AM
... Even though i would consider hash flare a very dodgy business anyways, are you sure that your bitcoin transaction was sent to the right address?

I use extreme caution when copying the receive address and making a BTC transfer.  I checked it over more than once before sending it.  It is the correct receive address that went to Hashflare, and the BTC is now in their possession.

It has now been 9 days and I have had zero response from Hashflare .. so far this is a theft.

If that's the case then it's definitely just misappropriating your money. Probably earning nice interest somewhere in their account as well which really sucks because you could have alerady been starting to use those funds for something else.

But anyways, hopefully they do get back to you. They've made a series of changes to their cloud mining site recently so that means that they aren't just inactive. They are active and well, but they don't seem to be responding.

Hopefully you do get your money back as i said.
4206  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ecoin and wirexapp scam on: December 12, 2017, 06:52:05 AM
I  have not use e-coin in almost a year, because when I try to transfer my paypal funds to bitcoins they but a hold on my virtual card. I had about $45 in bitcoin in the account. I decided to check the account   after 8 months because price of bitcoins have went up several folds, only to find out there is no bitcoins in the account.Avoid them like the plague.

Did you store the funds in your VCC or actually just in bitcoin? Because if it is just in bitcoin then there shouldn't be any sort of monthly fees for storing your coins with them, it's completely free and the only fee you have to pay is in case you want to send that coin to someone on-chain, you have to pay the transaction fee for miners.

It's weird that your money just disappeared. Is there any sort of record for what happened?

I've used wirex and i have to say that their fees in terms of converting currencies are not good, but never had a case where my money just disappeared.
4207  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HitBTC is suspected of defrauding users' assets on: December 12, 2017, 06:49:32 AM
A lot of exchanges allow you to change your deposit address and old addresses are still considered to be valid, so it's definitely quite weird that HitBTC would render the previous addresses just useless after a new one is generated, does not make sense at all.

They can still easily access the funds from that old address, since it is under their control still. It's not like they just all of a sudden lost private keys to that particular address after you generated a new deposit address.

If they indeed have not credited your account still, then i would definitely stay clear of these guys. It's not the first time they've got a complaint against them either.
4208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crossed $16,700 on: December 10, 2017, 07:42:04 AM
Bitcoin's crazy run is crushing all other digital currencies.
This weekend Bitcoin will rich $20,000?

It does seem like that when bitcoin goes on a rally all the other altcoins greatly suffers.

The bull run seems to be temporarily over, though. With prices currently at $13k or under on major exchanges that is a $5k reduction in price compared to the peak of the run up. I'd say that $20k should still be easily achieved by the end of the year, though i'm not sure exactly when it'll happen and it definitely will not happen this week since there is only a day left.

This should prove to just be a temporary pullback before another rally.
4209  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New arbitrage site? on: December 10, 2017, 07:36:34 AM
Would there be much call for one?  I googled it and there didn't seem to be any sites, just bots.  Would it be popular?  I am guessing you need a LOT of coin to invest if you are playing the % game.

What i'm imagining wouldn't do the deals but it would tell you the cheapest route from one coin to another.  It would have amounts and links to the exchange pages to do the deals.  Maybe free and paid tiers.

What would you expect to see?  Which exchanges?  Which coins?

Actually there is a site called cryptocoincharts that also allow you to view the available arbitrage opportunities on the market. I do recall checking it out a while ago but i also remember that there was pretty much nothing special about the site.

I would argue that a bot would work much better as arbitrage opportunities are real time and monitoring a page would be extremely hard.

Though even if you use a bot, the profits are quite thin. The max you'll probably get is a 10% edge with a maximum of $500 or so, but the transaction fees alone will take away greatly on that.
4210  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: exchange with faucet inside on: December 10, 2017, 07:25:40 AM
do you all guys know is there any exchanges that have faucet inside the site like yobit, is there any others beside yobit?

Nope, yobit is the only real exchange that also has a faucet inside. Actually it's not supposed to be a faucet but rather just a way for dev to promote their shitcoins. Only once in a while will you see anything substantial in BTC or any major currency, the rest of the times you'll have a bunch of worthless shitcoins being offered.

If you just want suggestions for faucets, then i would definitely go with freebitco.in.

A bunch of gambling sites also has great faucets, such as bitsler. And actually bitsler has a built in exchange system as well so that may interest you, though do not abuse it as it will end up with your account being closed.
4211  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashFlare Turning Scam?? on: December 10, 2017, 07:23:30 AM
I can't argue with that. Had I held my Bitcoin instead of investing it in mining it would be over over a million by now, and my projections show that the price will have to be around 30k minimum around 2020 to keep mining profitable.  Then again, if I invested in physical mining and then didn't reinvest further I'd have millions more.

Indeed. With cloud mining in general you are essentially speculating on bitcoin price to rise anyways because if not then your maintenance fees will soon outpace the growth of your investment profits and get your contract closed by the company pretty quickly.

Not to mention hash flare has stupidly reduced all contracts from lifetime to 1 year which makes no sense whatsoever.

That's why i tell people who want to invest in cloud mining you're better off just getting some bitcoin, holding it, and profiting from it, or even trading altcoins. At least you have a chance to make a big buck in the end.

If somebody is interested, hit me up!

Let me ask you the questions that everyone will probably ask:

1. What is the price on these things?
2. How many grams of gold do they contain? Are they made out of .999 or .9999 gold?
3. How much is shipping worldwide?
4. What payment methods do you accept and do you accept escrow?

Looks pretty nice though, but without addressing the questions that i've listed for you above in the OP, i doubt many people will be interested in purchasing one. Undecided
4213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will crash one day? on: December 10, 2017, 05:22:11 AM
Why not? What will sustain the value of bitcoin in long run? Is bitcoin meeting an unmet need?

I believe bitcoin and most of the altcoins won't survive for longer. There might be one or more cryptocurrencies that can make it big at the end, but that might not have been launched yet. Bitcoin just can't keep on running because of first mover advantage. Technologies go obsolete and hence bitcoin can't be a store of value. I believe market is such a mess right now that most of currencies you are holding for long term will go 0 in coming years. Here I am not talking about BERL (bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin). But these are highly overvalued right now.

Market is irrational right now and irrationality always ends in tears.

You're damn right, and i agree with your points. We're seeing a crash right here right now and it's irrational to assume that a crash equal the size of the last 2013 crash wouldn't happen again. It's just absolutely absurd to think that this bubble will never end either.

However, i have to disagree with you about the long term pricing of bitcoin.

Bitcoin is backed by the people using it. And no matter how good the technology behind altcoins get, it doesn't matter. All we needed in the first place was a decentralized way to pay. We don't need no smart contracts, no decentralized car towing or all that nonsense.

Bitcoin's value will in my opinion be preserved in the long run, however there will be pumps and dumps that will affect value in the short term.
4214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin prices is go Down in 2018? on: December 10, 2017, 05:17:17 AM
The Bitcoin graph is going up and up, the popularity of bitcoin increasing day by day.
Will bitcoin prices is go Down in 2018? What will happen with Bitcoin?

The price has been going down substantially in the last couple of days, so i'm not sure.

If the bear trend continues for a few days and this turned out to be the start of a bear season then 2018 would really be some sort of slaughterhouse for anyone going long with bitcoin. But then at the same time, if it can rebound to around $15k and hold its ground around that mark then obviously bitcoin is able to again, break out potentially to higher heights in 2018.

These last 2 weeks in the year would be incredibly crucial for the forecast going into 2018, because it sets the mood for the year.
4215  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hashflare.io SCAM WARNING: Takes BTC, Provides Nothing, Doesnt Reply on: December 10, 2017, 05:10:29 AM
This is a sticky situation to be in. I mean if they don't respond to your support tickets then there is really no other way of communicating with them. Even though i would consider hash flare a very dodgy business anyways, are you sure that your bitcoin transaction was sent to the right address?

Because this is one of a kind sort of complaint. Every single complaint against them is about the payouts/degradation of contract, but none of the complaints i've heard up to this point is about the buying of contract not working.

Hopefully you sort this out, but even if you do i have to let you know that there is very little in investing in cloud mining.
4216  Economy / Reputation / Re: Profile - trust on: December 10, 2017, 05:02:53 AM
-2: - 1 / +0
Warning: Trade with extreme caution!
that's what I discovered today. I would like to know from the moderators what is the matter, which I rightly violated?

First of all, trust is unmoderated.

You can't complain to a moderator about your trust since it is entirely based on opinions. Trust is a subjective thing.

Secondly, Vod has tagged you for posting extremely short posts for no reason at all, mostly in off topic. I think that the label shitposter is definitely suitable for your case here and you deserve this neg.

However, if you change your behavior, then you may ask Vod to remove your rating after a month or two.
4217  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Account lockout and non-return of money (Yobit) on: December 09, 2017, 06:01:52 AM
Good afternoon,
I am one of the founders of the coin that is traded on their stock exchange, 4 days ago the Yobit exchange blocked my account. The official and only answer I received is: The account is blocked for spam of micro-orders and system overload.
The rules do not, and why they blocked me, they do not answer me.
Twelve tickets were created and not one-time personal messages were written to the admins on the exchange. No answer. Before the lock on my account was equivalent to 1.5 btc.
I hope I'm in vain panicky ahead of time and yet I'll get an answer from them to tickets or mail

You're a founder of an altcoin that is traded on yobit? Probably pump and dump as well.

Anyways... Did they offer any explanation on how you were "overloading" the system? Even if you're doing really small orders, it's still above their limit and they never said anything about not being able to do legal small orders when you signed up, so they really have no basis to ban you.

Even if they do ban you, they should return your money. You'll probably never use their exchange again anyways.

Take this as a lesson, if you are the dev of a coin then listing your coin and trading it on yobit is the worst thing you can do. And you have to pay for it too.
4218  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] Used Bitcoin addresses on: December 09, 2017, 03:47:49 AM
You should probably list all the snapshots that you're looking for in the OP such as clams/BCC/BTG, etc.

This way people won't have to bombard you with thousands of addresses that contain nothing of importance and nobody will accuse you of ripping people off. AFAIK lots of people are saying they're buying old BTC addresses and say that it doesn't need to contain any funds and "any address is fine" but in the end they only want the ones that will make them a profit.

Just a suggestion. You don't have to follow up with it if you don't want to.
4219  Economy / Goods / Re: Anonymous Prepaid EU SIM Card (with credit possible) on: December 09, 2017, 03:40:43 AM
Saw the ads about SIM cards here and think I'm currently in a good position to offer as well. It concerns Dutch-issued prepaid SIM cards, can be used for pretty much anything. Many available, please inquire.

  • Validity is 6 months from either activation (you have to go through a menu for this) or last top-up.
  • SIM cards from two different carriers, both have been offering their products in this way for a few years now and there's no law changes or anything around the corner afaik.
  • Free roaming throughout the EU since regulation changes earlier this year.
  • I can buy credit locally with cash and manually top up before sending if desired.
  • There is a website where you could top-up by creditcard for whoever is concerned, I can send a link (although it might kind of defeat the purpose).

Was thinking of about 10 Euros each including shipping, will take any major crypto. Will ship anywhere but with tracking only on bulk orders, it's quite expensive here. Pm to order/discuss details.

You should take some pics with the sim cards. Also some information on the rates concerning the SIM cards(call rates, data charges, etc.) would be extremely helpful as well. Is there a possibility of topping this up through bitcoin or only through credit cards?

Also this can be used internationally in any country right?

10 EUR isn't a bad price to charge for these including shipping, though please, accept escrow. I may be interested in the future if you can provide info that i requested previously.
4220  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we gonna see Bitcoin fall back a bit for those who wish to invest? on: December 09, 2017, 03:13:58 AM
Bitcoin's current price is: $18.275.40 USD
that is off the charts!
Are we gonna experience a slight fallback to ~$12K or will this steady rise last long?
thanks for posting

We're experiencing the pullback right now as we speak.

I doubt it'll last as long as some people think it will, though. I think at absolute worst scenarios it's going to hit what you said, $12k. However support is actually quite strong at the $13-14k marks so i don't think that it's necessarily even going to happen before another pump just takes this thing to $18k+ again and potentially create new all time highs just like the last pump.

But just as others said, it's unpredictable as hell in a bubble. You never know, honestly.
