4261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you donate in a casino? on: May 29, 2020, 10:10:30 AM
Hi guys Smiley

Even though many countries have reopened borders and people are getting back to work in the offices, the complicated time isn’t over yet and the risk is still high.
There are several organizations where you can make your efforts by donating.

So my question here is, if you are a person who is willing to donate, what choice would you rather use:
  • Participate in special charity programs or
  • Like to have a permanent possibility to donate straight on the casino site?

Cheers,
Karl

I prefer donating directly to the organisations near me, or going to the websites of reputed organisations like Red Cross and directly donating there. Furthermore most of the reputed casinos prefer donating directly without involving their users, but if you would like to accept donations on your casino, then I hope that you’ll come up with a transparent plan about how the funds will be used, and how can your users verify where their funds were spent.

^  Ugh.  That's what's left?  Man this pandemic really screwed everything over.  Lots of lives are gonna change after this.  Seriously.  I've now become this weird guy who washes his hands every minute.  Lolol.

@tokeweed yea we have no option but to adapt to this new reality, and you shouldn’t wash your hands every minute, because you’ll harm your skin in the long run due to those chemicals that they put in the sanitisers.

Well, it doesn't looks bad in current situation. Especially because at some moment I was sceptical that 2020 season will not happen at all. And in terms of logistics it doesn't looks very complicated - first races in Europe, then moving to Asia, America and finally in Middle East. It's strange why they don't held Vietnam Gp together with China and Japain. And I'm not sure how they will held races without spectators in city tracks like Baku and Vietnam.
And it will be strange to watch Seb in Ferrari and few other drivers when you know that he don't have future in that team.

@LTU_btc while we all are disappointed that we won’t be able to watch the entire season, but under the current circumstances I’m sure that we all will be more than happy to watch any number of races, that they can organise for us don’t you’ll agree?.

4263  Economy / Economics / White House won’t be releasing the formal economic projections (not a good sign) on: May 29, 2020, 03:39:08 AM
In an unprecedented move the White House has decided not to publish it’s formal economic projections which it has been diligently publishing each year, and the last time it was not published was in the year 1970.

While I do understand that they were not keen to show the real economy picture in an election year, but this shall only create more fear and panic among the US citizens as they’ll be now be more concerned about their economy.

Further in the last 10 weeks around 40 million US citizens have declared themselves unemployed, which only shows how bad the situation has become out there.

Quote

White House officials have decided not to release updated economic projections this summer, opting against publishing forecasts that would almost certainly codify an administration assessment that the coronavirus pandemic has led to a severe economic downturn, according to three people with knowledge of the decision.

The White House is supposed to unveil a federal budget proposal every February and then typically provides a “mid-session review” in July or August with updated projections on economic trends such as unemployment, inflation and economic growth.

Western Australian cricket chief Christina Matthews says it is “astounding” Perth has been snubbed for hosting one of Australia’s four Tests against India this summer, declaring Perth Stadium is superior to the Gabba in every facet.
Cricket Australia will on Friday confirm dates for the marquee India tour, with the Gabba locked in to host the first Test on December 3 before a day-night clash in Adelaide and the traditional Boxing Day and New Year’s fixtures in Melbourne and Sydney.

@JSRAW let’s hope that this tournament goes ahead as planned, but is there any clarification about spectators will they be allowed in the stands or no?. Furthermore it’s only a matter of few days now before the mind games begin between these two sides, and it’ll be pure entertainment for fans like us who’re sorely missing live cricket action.

4265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman & Sachs: Bitcoin: Currency or Asset Class? on: May 28, 2020, 01:04:11 PM
Goldman & Sachs recently held a conference call and discusses the bitcoin and gold in the backdrop of Covid-19 pandemic.

And attached below are the slide materials:

https://resources.goldman.com/content/dam/pwm/direct-links/isg-calls/client_call_materials_27May20.pdf?sa=n&rd=n

And according to them, (no surprise) , "Cryptocurrencies Including Bitcoin Are Not an Asset Class"

And in their conclusion, they said that bitcoin is not viable as investments.

I'm sure a lot of eyebrows have been raised here, Twitter will explode and will criticised Goldman & Sachs statement here.

What are your thoughts?

@btc_angela basically Goldman Sachs just gave a Jamie Dimom type statement where they’ll first bash bitcoins, and then in coming years they’ll go on to praise bitcoin and then ask their client’s to invest in it. Furthermore Winklevoss brothers have roasted Goldman Sachs on twitter, and have openly called out their blunder as Bitcoin is a commodity, and now I’m waiting to see if Goldman Sachs will apologise or no for their statement.

Quote

Cameron Winklevoss Tweet:

Hey Goldman Sachs, 2014 just called and asked for their talking points back.

Bitcoin was declared a commodity by the CFTC in 2015 in the Coinflip order...so yea it's an asset whose price is set by supply and demand. Just like gold. Just like oil. It's a commodity.

Quote

Tyler Winklevoss Tweet:

The more I think about it, the Goldman report is probably a head fake. Seems like something the vampire squid would do. They’re probably rebranding to ‘Goldman Stacking Sats’ as we speak.

~snip~

Hmmm... do you have anything else to add if I tell you that I'm still not convinced and I still believe that India lost it on purpose? Cheesy

@JSRAW, Ben Stokes wants to send you a message. Smiley

'There was no intent from MS Dhoni' - Ben Stokes on India's crushing defeat against England in 2019 World Cup

https://www.timesnownews.com/sports/cricket/article/there-was-no-intent-from-ms-dhoni-ben-stokes-on-indias-crushing-defeat-against-england-in-2019-world-cup/597331

India lost that match intentionally to keep Pakistan out and play against the Kiwis in the semi-finals.

Hahahaha

Did he mentioned or felt disgusting with other stuff too like; How umpires gave crucial decisions in favor of his team when he was at the crease -during the World Cup final and The Ashes- Where he won the iconic test match for his team?

As PIG-3 would say it was more about securing place for England, no one care for Pakistani team and clearly not Indian team Grin and about Dhoni, well that's how he play "Taking Deep " lol. He won many games for India with same strategy and cost some critical games, arguably recent WC as well. like i always say "Its part of the package" no one can do much about it.

I believe Dhoni lost millions of Pakistani fans that day but its good thing because now Pakistan team or fans clearly understand that if they want to win the World Cup or finish any job ever again then they need to focus on hard work and get your shit together. Luck and neighbors are not their best allies and luck definitely not going to help them every time.

@JSRAW I love how the media suddenly gives credit to Ben Stokes words, because if my memory serves me right then wasn’t he ridiculed by the media for punching fans after his midnight drinks, and wasn’t he also punished for abusing a fan during a live cricket match this year?. Lastly I do understand that many people were disappointed with Ms Dhoni’s knock during the World Cup, but they need to understand that he’s grown old now and it’s quiet possible that he may never be able to finish matches like he used to do before, and they need to accept this harsh reality.

4268  Other / Politics & Society / Trump is planning to shut down Twitter or at least control it. on: May 28, 2020, 03:57:37 AM
It’s an open secret that Trump doesn’t likes his authority being challenged, and if anyone tries to challenge him then he believes that he has to crush that person/organisation to set an example for others, and hence I’m not surprised that he’s declared war on Twitter after Twitter decided that it would fact check two of his tweets.

It’s also worth mentioning that he’s very angry with them that he’s decided to sign a order to either shut them down, or to regulate them but I’m not sure how he’ll be able to do it as he doesn’t have the necessary power to do it.

What are your thoughts about this has he picked a battle that he cannot win, or will Twitter appease him and remove those fact check warnings that they have placed on his tweets.

Hey, all. Some guy from discord is contacted with me today and it would be good if someone from FortuneJack staff will check it out what he said:

I do not know it is true or not but may be important.

Who knows..  Could be nothing.  I mean really...  If the guy really had the site owned, why tell somebody?

But I think that guy def was a Spongebob fan as a kid.  Lolol.

@xandy @tokeweed this was a scam attempt and if you’re ever in doubt look at how they’ll post their words : 1) fast typed emotional words, 2) broken English 3) last but not least they’ll try to leak fear and panic, but these type of scams don’t work these days.

I think, we can stop the withdraw topic.

Right now, fortune jack already giving a user with free withdraw without any fee from the user. So, everyone was happy, also fortune jack already gives to their customer what they want and we got win2 solution.

Now about the prediction contest on "DreamHack CSGO" did anyone has successfully predict the right team a whole group? I got 8 right predictions and probably will not getting DLORE Grin cause my rank under position 100

@ryzaadit I’ll second that as all the users complaints regarding withdrawal fees have been answered, and furthermore they all got more than what they were bargaining for so it’s a happy ending for FJ and it’s users.

thanks, will check it out ASAP, i just withdrawed from there but will depo again, lol

These are challenges happening every week and so I would suggest keeping some coins in your account enough to hunt that challenge every week and dont have to wait to deposit. I know how gamblers are, they hate having to wait and like all things instant. Grin

There are also VIP challenges but these are only for those who have wagered enough to reach the VIP tiers and not available to non-VIP users. Make sure you check those out too and reach VIP soon to take part in them. If you have any questions the support team is there to help.

@TheUltraElite you’re absolutely correct as PD has multiple events now and then so it definitely makes sense to leave some funds out there, plus another reason why one should not cash out often is the transaction fees as it’s risen a lot lately. Furthermore I also believe that VIP users get access to their managers who keep them updated about events, bonuses, and offers more support than a normal user gets isn’t that right?.

4271  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC & Altcoin Market Update: Bitcoin sets lower high, altcoins rallying on: May 26, 2020, 10:16:40 AM
Latest in weekly TA series on BTC can be found here:

https://www.cryptoadvocate.net/post/bitcoin-altcoin-market-update-24-05-20

Main takeaways are that while bullish, BTC has failed to set a higher high and is still in weekly downtrend. Meanwhile, Altcoins are making large gains vs. Btc.

@cryptoadvocate I’m not a analyst hence I don’t understand charts, but what I understand is sentiments and those sentiments were shaken when someone moved bitcoins from a 2009 wallet, and rumours began to spread that those were Satoshis bitcoins. However it’s not been proved that those were Satoshis coin, and if you recollect before those coins were moved Bitcoin prices were in strong position to cross $10k levels, hence I feel that bitcoin prices will shoot upwards soon but till then every dip is a buying opportunity.

How are we doing all? Any major update of cricket to be in the ground soon in anywhere? There are some football already back in Europe and some are on the way.

Sorry lately I am not much into cricket discussion since for me there are not much to discuss until we have some real cricket. Life without cricket is boring to be honest.

We are not dead yet...so that's a relief and good news.

On updates

-Pig 2 (Ind +Aus)working together.
-ICC shitting on BCCI, Corona shitting on everyone.
-T-20 WC seems distant dream, Fans crying.
-OZ fans seems satisfied with the India and Ashes series.
-IPL seems tough ask in current condition.
-Warner doing Tik-Tok videos.
-Cricketers interviewing Cricketers, Commentators playing the same game and Reporters are pissed off.

@JSRAW I can feel your frustration, but we should look at the positive side too that all the known famous cricket stars are safe and they have not been effected by this virus, which means that they’ll be able to quickly resume their role on the pitch in coming months as and when cricket matches resumes again.

Furthermore Ian Chappell believe that we will see IPL instead of the T20 World Cup because ICC won’t risk upsetting BCCI, and I too agree with his opinion but what about you’ll what do you think of his opinion?.

4273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: May 26, 2020, 04:14:44 AM
I think the ball should be in the court of Wilder to perform and recapture his belt. He is the one who are going to adjust. Fury will still do the same, execute the same strategy, heavier and bigger, used his boxing skills, etc.

This is the funniest response i saw till now, in the second fight Fury changed his fighting style completely and Wilder does not know anything else other than waiting for the knockout punch and landing one. Are you telling me that Wilder will learn boxing while he is at the end of his career Tongue.
You said Fury adjusted, then why can't Wilder do the same, simple adjustment like more head movement, angles so that Fury will have a hard time hitting him in the face. Yes, maybe he will be having a hard time to re-adjust his fighting style. This is like a chess game, and one key for Wilder to win and be unpredictable.

Perhaps he was eager for a trilogy because he knows he did something wrong in the second fight, so we will see. If he losses in the same fashion and we didn't see any adjusted then say goodbye to his career.

@Yaunfitda there’s a big difference between what Fury did, and what you’re expecting Wilder to do at this stage of his career. Also if it’s pertinent to note that you’re not alone who wants Wilder to make drastic changes to his style, as Fury’s former trainer has also advised Wilder to land more punches if he wants to win, but he has also warned Wilder that if he gets exhausted Fury will once again beat him.

Quote

Davison believes that Wilder will have to change his output and land more punches to be successful against Fury.
A precise shot from Wilder can knock anybody out. Increasing the volume will increase the probability of landing clean on the champion. But, as Davison pointed out, he should do it consistently. Otherwise, Fury will take over as Wilder fades. Also, Fury has more tools to win than Wilder.

4274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: May 25, 2020, 04:54:54 PM
I did not follow the primaries that closely and I have to admit that I am not an expert in US politics at all but isn't it already (at least inofficially) settled that Joe Biden will be the candidate of the Democrats? Does Cuomo, to have an actual chance, have to run as an independent candidate?

Yes, figment explained very well, thanks for that. The market in the screenshot you quoted is for next president, not democratic nominee. For democratic nominee market looks like this:

Source: https://orbitexch.com/customer/sport/market/1.128161111

So there is still some possibility for Biden not to be Dem nominee, just like there is for Trump (he is @1.08 rn). I opened that Cuomo trade, because of a) the health issues he has/had, which could lead to him being unable to run for presidency no more and b) for the little possiblity of the Democrats somehow wanting to have someone else to compete against Trump, because they see better chances with him. As I said numerous times, I think ANY candidate just a little bit more charismatic and a bit younger maybe, should easily beat Trump and I saw Cuomo just being that while watching his pressers every day, when the situation in New York was so bad. Now we also have c) with these sexual assault things, where we don't know yet, how it will play out in the end (not a lot impact imo).

As I also stated in first post, I lack deeper understanding of how this would all work, once Biden would step down for whatever reason in the end. But figment and other people explained the modus operandi and I would never stake a penny on that @1.15 for Biden Dem nominee above. Still a long way to go until November. That Cuomo trade is not looking good at the moment though and is in red Smiley Lets see, if I can turn it into profit in the next weeks/months.

@tyKiwanuka I don’t think that Biden will be replaced now, as he’s successfully united a divided democratic party ahead of the presidential elections. However if we were to assume a hypothetical scenario then he would only be removed if his loose statements continued to hurt Democratic party’s voter base, e.g. he has sensationally claimed that black Americans are not black if they vote for Trump.

I can’t agree more with this title. You don’t have the chance of getting a 10000x your bet in dice games. In slots the gameplay has high variance which leads to good vibes and emotions during gameplay different from dice which is almost the same during all gameplay. In slots you have that feeling which raises your adrenaline when you miss the jackpot for just one symbol,a feeling you don’t have while playing dice.

They are really different when it comes to mechanics and user interactions since we do know that slots is way better than dice in any angle but when it comes to winning chances or odds then I would say that dice is way more better. It do just vary on users preference though because not all would really be attracted with dice
and stick out to slots and some doesn't like slots but stick out with dice just like that.

Slots do had bigger house edge which means even if you do win then you would definitely still have those kind of deductions of HE.

@swogerino there was a case study done on why do gamblers prefer slots, and it was revealed that they’re attracted to the sound it creates, and along with this it’s the sight of slots too which engages their mind and in turn they end up liking slots more. Lastly another reason they discovered was that slots unlock the power of visualisation i.e. the sight of one winning a big jackpot, and in my personal opinion that’s precisely a key reason why people like to prefer slots over dice.

Zcash has a decent market capitalisation in the crypto market, but in a shocking revelation it has been found that Zcash users can be traced on the basis of their transactions. At this stage many will argue that Zcash has top notch privacy features, and I won’t deny this but sadly many users who use Zcash are failing to use those features properly, and if you’re using Zcash then read the below quote to make sure that you’re using Zcash coins in the correct way.

“[E]ven though cryptographically Zcash is very well-founded, the users behave in a way that does not take full advantage of the shielded pool, making them traceable. As each user in the shielded pool becomes linked to the transparent pool, the overall anonymity of the ZEC ecosystem reduces as the anonymity set shrinks drastically.”

Some years ago we get a lot of fun playing the same initiative on DirectBet https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1256522.0
There was a strong interest each month, and it can be a nice "revival" idea launch again since it can promote your site and good tipsters!
Actually, we have enough free time before "major events" will resume again... I am applying as adviser for this Smiley Roll Eyes
Drop a message in MP or reply here if you have interest relaunch a betting competition between forum users. #ideaforstake.com

I also have some ideas for sportsbook related competitions, as we play a lot of sports-type contests here where I am, in real life I mean. I always thought it would be more fun with other people online, it makes people go crazy besides the fun of the game itself:)

@bitbollo while a in house betting competition sounds fun, but currently they’re running a nice contest on the winner of Bayern vs Dortmund match, and I personally feel that this is more entertaining for Stake users. Also imagine when they run similar kind of contest for matches like Real Madrid vs Barcelona or Manchester United vs Liverpool then I believe that they’ll witness record betting as all these teams have a huge fan base following.

CoinEx founder Yang had famously labelled Bitcoin Cash as the real Bitcoin in the past, and he even believed that BCH could dominate the crypto market, but very soon he realised that he was horribly wrong, and therefore he turned his attention towards Bitcoin Satoshi Vision which too turned out to be another flop coin. It’s pertinent to note that he only supported both these coins with one goal i.e. to end bitcoin’s dominance in the crypto market.

Furthermore now he’s back with another vision i.e. to dominate exchanges and use his own blockchain to fulfil his goal of ending bitcoin dominance in the crypto market, but in my personal opinion he won’t succeed this time round too and he’ll fail once again.

This was the first Dice HH, and for sure we will see more changes in the future, but was a nice start, looks like some people make a nice profit in this event, so, let's hope to have another good one soon!

@seoincorporation was this a lucky guess or you made this prediction based on your past experience, because I’m really surprised by it’s accuracy. Although I didn’t participate in this HH but it looked like a promising event, and if more participants participated in future HH events then I believe that it would become even more competitive and more entertaining.

This should have been done at least three decades ago. In none of the other sports, we have such unhygienic practices. Imagine some Japanese or Korean watching cricket players applying saliva to the ball. In these countries, they give a lot of importance to personal hygiene, and such practices would attract instant consternation. Anyway, at least now ICC has reacted in a positive manner.
In baseball using saliva or Vaseline is illegal but they used to do that in the past and there is no other sport that use a ball like cricket and shining of the ball is necessary for a bowler, now all the rules favor the batsman and if they do not allow to shine the ball then it will be difficult for bowler to swing.
If cricket is included in the Olympics then people from Japan and Korea will use spit to shine the ball Tongue .

What I was saying was that applying saliva is a relatively recent phenomenon. It started sometime during the 1970s. Before that the pace bowlers just used their own sweat and towel to get one side of the ball heavier. I am not condoning the use of sweat either, but this method needs to be banned simply because it is extremely unhygienic. Not just in East Asian nations, even the European nations also give a lot of importance to personal hygiene. Let's get rid of this disgusting practice.

@Vishnu.Reang I completely agree with your suggestions as this technique is very unhygienic, and further I’m also hoping that rest Asian countries too will ban the use of this technique in their local leagues. @7788bitcoin I doubt that they would have used saliva rather they would have preferred loosing the match, as personal hygiene is very important for them.
