4301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: July 12, 2020, 12:59:10 PM
An interesting question today in Marca: ''Ansu Fati trains with Barcelona B: Will he play in the Segunda B playoffs?''
Ansu Fati is currently training with Barcelona B, as he is suspended and currently unable to play for the first team Barcelona.
Ansu Fati was with the first team of Barcelona the whole season and had a notable role (22 appearances, 6 goals, 1 assists) and now the coach is sending him to the second team.
Does Barcelona B really need his help or is it proof that Quique Setien has lost hope of defending the Spanish title and is sending his younger players elsewhere?

4302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: July 12, 2020, 12:48:03 PM
In the current situation in which the football clubs find themselves, it is difficult to give a tipp. I don't know how the teams are coping with it except from the germans. But I think Bayern Munich has the best chances for the title.
In one match everything is possible.
If you have 2 matches and play bad in first match,  there is always another chance in second match.
But especially the away games make it different in the current situation. What rules on hygiene apply in the country? Is there a lockdown right now and the hotel staff is more tense than usual? These are all factors that are unpredictable for example.

I believe that all the rules will be very strict because it is very important for UEFA to finish all competitions this year for financial and other reasons.
Since there will be no spectators, there will still be a limited number of people who are easier to control.
I don’t believe there will be any major problem and I am sure all the competitions will end as planned.
Portugal and Germany, which have been selected as host countries, have a relatively stable and good situation with the coronavirus.
What will be most missed are the fans and without them everything will still look a bit artificial and unnatural.
But for UEFA, the possibility of giving up or postponing has never been an option that they have seriously considered and of course too much money is at stake.
Fans are important but money is more important  Grin Grin

However, somewhere along the way that original purpose of the forum was lost and now probably at least 90% of the posts on the forum are written to meet the conditions of the signature campaign  Grin Grin
Nah, it was not lost totally. What just happened is that the motivation of most members changed. New members keep coming here not because they wanted to become part of the community only but also to try their luck on campaigns. Nonetheless, I don't see anything wrong about sig campaigns. It doesn't deteriorate the forum IMO — the toxic members do.
The forum is therefore much more active of course but is it good in the long run?
I guess it's questions for admins.
The admins do not have the answer, everything depends on us. Whether there are campaigns/bounties or any kind of opportunity existing or not, the peace and orderliness of this forum depend on how we all behave. That's it Smiley.

I think you're right.
It's probably in some way logical and normal that at the very beginning here on the forum were mostly btc enthusiasts and that no one thought too much about making money.
BTC signature campaigns came later and as bitcoin grew so more and more people got involved.
As a result, this forum has become more popular and more and more members have joined from all over the world.
There is nothing wrong with that, of course, as long as it complies with the rules.
But lately there has been a lot of spam, plagiarism, accusations and other things on this forum and that is something that isn't acceptable.
We don't need such members and I sincerely hope that most new members will accept the rules of conduct and forum rules and be constructive members.

4304  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies are free to choose the journey they will go on: July 12, 2020, 11:57:45 AM
Beginners have different motivation to join this forum.
If they join this forum in order to learn more about btc,  technology etc. than I think others will be happy to support them with answers,  advices, merits...
It's obvious that many new members join this forum with only one motivation,  to earn some btc.
Of course that such new members can't expect support and help from other members.
We freely choose our way.
yes you are right, in this forum we are free to choose our own path. I also do not want to be hypocritical about the initial reason to join this forum because I want to get BTC and money from BTC sales obtained from various campaigns and airdrops. what I mean by members who deserve help is qualified beginner members and not concerned with how to get a lot of btc, but they also have a good contribution in this forum. The initial motivation of beginners who just want to get BTC is a general motivation that will occur to some or most beginners, it's still very reasonable.

Of course there is nothing wrong with wanting to earn some bitcoin.
The most important thing is actually the approach and attitude.
I will always be happy to help new members when I see that they have a sincere desire to learn something and if they don't spam the forum, even if their main motivation for registering on this forum is actually earning bitcoin.
But if new members don’t read the rules and spam other members, for personal gain, then that’s not acceptable and I won’t support that.

Transfer rumours:
Barcelona are favourites to sign Spanish forward Fabian Luzz.
Kosovo winger Milot Rashica will leave Werder Bremen this summer. Where he will go? Wolves, Liverpool, AC Milan, RB Leipzig or Hertha BSC?
Barcelona have agreed personal terms with Inter about Lautaro Martinez, but the deal depends on Coutinho.
Manchester United will fight with Chelsea and Manchester City for Ben Chilwell. Price?  Ł60m.

How Barcelona most likely lost the Spanish champions this year?
There are a lot of different opinions and reflections but personally I think this article in Marca gives the best answer: https://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2020/07/10/5f08a9d6e2704e13538b45d4.html

According to their detailed analysis of the Barcelona matches, these are the main reasons:
- ''No solution against compact defences''
- ''Attacking movement''
- ''Concentration without the ball''
- ''The importance of scoring''

Personally I completely agree with them and for the same reasons Barcelona is no longer the favourite in the European Champions League.
4308  Other / Meta / Re: Satoshi banned! on: July 11, 2020, 01:24:43 PM
From Will "satoshi" ever login again?:
Do you think "satoshi" will ever just randomly log in one day and post something?
His account is locked, so no. If he wants to claim his account, he'll have to contact me with a PGP signature.

So basically satoshi's account is inaccessible unless he contacted the forum administrator theymos while ironically satoshi is the Founder of the Bitcoin and the forum itself?

But TBH I think satoshi's inactivity for years that have passed seemed to answer one common question which is "Who is Satoshi?", and the answer is I think Satoshi and his account were just a front to whom really is the Founder. I don't say it's theymos nor whatsover. I guess it's just a codename or a username which most of us think of since we started in the forum (while satoshi is the smallest amount of Bitcoin like penny in dollars).

But it is also kinda scary as there are still a lot of bitcoins that aren't used and in hold by Satoshi. If ever he's mad at us he might dump it lol  Grin

Satoshi is just a name chosen by the person or group behind bitcoin, nothing more than that.
Whether other members of this group may still be active in this forum will we probably never know, nor is it so important actually.
Satoshi of course can follow this forum even if his profile is locked, and if he doesn't want to use his profile here because of his privacy and security, it's his decision that we should respect.
Finally, if Satoshi ever decided to use again his profile here, I'm sure he will be able to prove his identity to the administrators without any problem.

Then they really are not into learning, after all. Obviously, if they cannot get or earn something worthy of their time and effort they will vanish. Probably, those people behind are roaming around the internet searching for something that they can juice out again. Such a waste, if they just instead used their effort and excessive time on a meaningful manner, they could achieve much amazing feats better than they usually do  Undecided.
There are only a few beginners who strive to learn to achieve good performance in the forum. So they can survive and can be good and useful members of this forum. Not just to find something they can juice again. They use the time in this forum well and contribute.

We as members who are already far above must support beginners with such thoughts, thoughts that want to advance and continue to be useful for this forum. providing some merit for quality posts will make them more enthusiastic.

^^
Real need to beat City by 2 goals to advance, I think they are out. I have a good feeling for Bayern this season, I’m not sure why. I think they have the best balance throughout the team, a good defence, midfield & attack. Some of the other teams have great attacks but lack in other areas.

I think that Real still have chance against Manchester City.
In one match between 2 top world clubs everything is possible.
Manchester City didn't have good season and they can loose  much more in this match (last chance for title since I expect that Real will become champion in Spain ).
German league finished first in Europe so Bayern will have good opportunity to rest their players for CL final and it's good advantage for them.
4314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 10, 2020, 03:34:11 PM
The German Bild is reporting that Ivan Perišić won't stay in Munich and will return to Mailand after the season. He had 31 appearances for FC Bayern this season and scored six goals.

As things currently stand, Ivan Perišić will return to Inter Milan this summer [Bild]

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1281160471853367296

Anyway, according to Transfermarket.co.uk, there are rumors that Tottenham Hotspur might sign him, since they are looking for a new winger.

From the news I read before,  Bayern was interesting in Perisic but his salary was to high for them and they didn’t want to pay  it.
New coach in Inter don't want him so it was obvious already a few months ago that Perisic will have to find new club.
Tottenham?  Interesting info.
In the past a few Croatian players played in Tottenham  (Modric,  Kranjcar ) so it seems they like Croatian players and had good experience with them
Let's see what happens 😀
4315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the difference between a bitcoin address and a bitcoin wallet? on: July 10, 2020, 03:21:16 PM
Isn't the address is same as wallet?

In short,  bitcoin address is like your bank account number.
Wallet is like your bank name (they manage many bank accounts ). 😀😀
It's simplest explanation for new members I guess.
If you want to receive money in your bank account you just give your IBAN in EU or Swift code outside of EU.
In the same way,  if you want to receive btc funds you just give your btc address but of course don't share your private key.

It's a really bad idea to think that an address is your bank account, because an address should only be used to receive coins once, and you should give a new address the next time. So, it's closer to something like a one-time payment request. Unfortunately, people, especially beginners, ignore this and indeed use them as "bank accounts". This destroys their privacy and it becomes extremely easy to track all their Bitcoin transactions.

I agree 100 % with you.
I just tried to give him the simplest possible explanation since he obviously never heard about btc or crypto.
I didn't want to confuse him with to complex explanation and used terms he can understand easily.
I didn't say that btc address and bank account are the same.
They,  however,  have one function the same for both.
Btc address and bank accounts we can use to receive or send funds,  bank account for fiat and btc address for bitcoin.

4317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 10, 2020, 06:49:59 AM
Busser has apologized after making a Novak Djokovic joke that went too far.
Has this story with Djokovic gone too far?
What do you think?
https://mobile.twitter.com/TrackerTennis/status/1280134080290385921

I think he went to far with that kind of joke, as I have said before, Djokovic has messed up and that media will really take him down whether in a form of joke or something. But this kind of attack went over board, IMHO.

Everyone should move on with Djokovic now, I think he already suffered a lot here.

It could be an 'easy' tournament for Djokovic in the US Open, but we don't know maybe we can see surprises, and other names besides him will win if the US Open resumes without the all star cast we used to see.

I agree, he did go a little too far with this joke and I also think that Djokovic has been ridiculed enough in the media and by other players so I think it is time that it stops. He has made a mistake and lets be honest just take a look around the world right now, how many higher up powers have made mistakes and are making mistakes when it comes to this virus. I can name many government leaders right now and the thing is that it seems that there is no way of stopping this virus no matter what we all do. The thing is that people want sports back, want to go out and want the economy to get moving again so there is a lot of pressure on governments and sporting bodies to get things going again which can cause things like what we saw with the Djokovic tournament. No matter what no one can win when there is a virus like the one we currently have and its going to take a long time before we return to normal and that goes for everything. As the saying your dammed if you do and your dammed if you don't.

@vella85 I agree with you that he crossed a line with this joke, but let’s be honest don’t we all get what his main aim was (publicity), and he got tons of publicity at the expense of Djokovic which is really sad. Also I don’t think Djokovic will be forgetting this soon, as his opponents will definitely keep reminding him of this incident, and I hope that he finds the strength to cope with this mental torture, that he’ll be subject too when the play resumes again.

https://neoprimesport.com/novak-djokovic-rafael-nadal-is-mentally-stronger-than-roger-federer/

I do think that Djokovic has the mental strength when it comes to his opponents sledging him if it does come to that however I think that once the crowds come back that they will be even more hostile against Djokovic which could break him down mentally. All this could really put an end to his dominance in tennis and might put a stop to him becoming the top grand slam winner. I've always said that I do believe that he would some day be the top grand slam winner but now I am having my doubts after all this.

I don't agree with you
Djokovic is the best tennis player in the world because of his mental strength.
He won many times in difficult tennis matches,  even when all fans was against him, like in Wimbledon final last year with Federer,  because of his mental strength.
He will win more grand slams and become GOAT.
I don't see who can stop him now.
4318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Motivation on: July 10, 2020, 06:38:48 AM
Being new is so hard since we don't know on where to go or where to ask those questions bare on our mind and we don't know if the answered questioned to us is true since something there are misleading info's posted everywhere, so for this we need to be careful and practice ourselves to become a open minded person to possibilities and we should not let the day past that we don't learn new things since if we just sit around and wait for something miracle things happen then we will not grow and I'm sure we will not go ahead and earn something good in this industry.

I agree with you.
In the past I joined many different projects in Internet with hope to achieve financial freedom.
I didn't have luck, lost all my money but never lost my motivation,  never lost vision to reach financial  freedom on Internet.
It's difficult not to loose hope over long period of time but we should always focus on our goals and vision and motivate ourselves to continue.
It's difficult of course but only way to make success in life.

Bitcoin is not just for few individuals, but for everybody. Satoshi aim is to create a decentralized currency (bitcoin) for all to use, irrespective of your financial status.
Only few of the human race has the knowledge of bitcoin. that's why we can easily differentiate those that has the knowledge of bitcoin from those that doesn't.
Although as for me, I get to find about bitcoin from this forum

Yes,  bitcoin is for everybody but 10 years is to short time to become mainstream.
We need more practical ways how to use btc in every day life
I think that already many people heard about btc but only a few understand btc technology.
You are right,  this forum is the best place to learn about btc.
4320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Visa supports CBDC government cryptocurrencies on: July 09, 2020, 08:08:55 AM
Very interesting news from Cuy Sheffield, head of Visa’s crypto development department.
The director of Visa’s crypto department stressed that CBDCs (government cryptocurrencies) are the most important payment trend of this decade.
''These types of cryptocurrencies have significant implications for privacy, monetary sovereignty, geopolitics and financial inclusion''
''Earlier this year, VISA filed a patent application that is directly related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain.''

Visa seems to have recognized crypto as a new financial opportunity and they are ready to move in that direction. What do you think about that?
