4321  Economy / Collectibles / Re: KrogothManhattan's Free Daily Raffle Rules. Please read prior to participating! on: March 03, 2020, 09:00:57 AM
A suggestion to OP:

theymos recently introduced a new, more private way, for giveaways.

Can this be applied for this raffle? It's just a question, out of curiosity. Also, mocacinno tried recently the new system, with even more options for privacy (obtain the code, calculate its hash etc.).

Would it be feasible in this case as well?
4322  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is the whole trust system a joke? LAUDA OWNS IT? on: March 02, 2020, 11:36:03 AM
Since, according to you, nobody can oppose me my advice to you it to just start with the following:

Official way to worship me:
Quote
The Queen of Cats guides us. The Queen of Cats teaches us. The Queen of Cats protects us. In your light we thrive. In your mercy we are sheltered. In your wisdom we are humbled. We live only to serve. Our lives are yours.
Source.
Tongue

"Is the whole trust system a joke?"

No.

"LAUDA OWNS IT?"

Yes, of course. This aspect was clarified long time ago.

What we really need to figure out now is whether Lauda's gang or Foxpup's club is controlling the DT.
I control the merit system, Lauda controls the trust system. Together, we fight crime. Grin

Don't understand the reasons for opening this topic  Huh Huh Huh

All you can do is to obey, to bow down in front of the Supreme Leaders of the forum and, in this case, to worship as instructed above Smiley

It is not really the point, it is to draw attention to what this forum is, its objective, its importance, some care about the issue of accounts (it is correct, ok) but it is really important (?) To get the maximum rank to be able to enter a campaign (?)

The legendary must be a user who must have influence in your country, be a spokesperson, a qualified person to face a political, economic, social debate in any part of your country or community, etc.

About some changes / general rules / suggestions regarding campaigns, I opened this topic in February, but it changed nothing.

Regarding new ranks, as I said before, there were several topics on this matter, this one being the most recent. I suggested there the following:

I thought about OP's idea for a long time... And I embrace it somehow, meaning that I think it would be nice to have a Legendary / Legend rank for the true legendary users from here, such as Satoshi, Hal, Laszlo, or GameKyuubi.

These guys became parts of Bitcoin history!

Of course, there are others as well  but they are the first who came in my mind.

And this proposal would mean either to offer only to them the Legendary rank (and have a different name for the highest "regular" rank - the one after Hero) or to create a special rank for them (such as Legend).

It would be nice to have a distinction for those who wrote history, especially for those who are not active anymore or passed away.

Besides, there are many other suggestions on this subject, but nothing has changed. And I doubt anything will change...
4324  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [FREE PRIVATE GIVEAWAY] Bitcoin keychain on: March 02, 2020, 09:01:49 AM
Welcome back from the holiday Smiley

I thought maybe people sent you already the application(s), but as you were in a holiday, we would see the last slot filled today.

But seeing the slot is still not filled is weird. Maybe users waited for your return? Or maybe only 15 users out over over 2 millions are interested in the keychain? Smiley In this case you could also proceed only with 15 applicants.
4325  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitherium.cc not a full decentralized exchange - PrivKey leaks on: March 02, 2020, 08:14:31 AM
Who is this WE?

I had the same question towards TOAA, at some point.

In that case, and also in this case, I think the answer given by nullius is the best:

Quote
My guess:  Something related to the earlier origin of the term “Sybil”, as later used in the term “Sybil attack”.

What do you think? Smiley
4326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Courts Will Seize BTC With Miners' Help: Self-Proclaimed Satoshi Craig Wright on: March 01, 2020, 06:46:02 PM
Not exactly in line with the whitepaper, is it?
Yeah, no.  Not at all.

Now let's remember Satoshi's words from the cryptography mailing list:

Quote
I've been working on a new electronic cash system that's fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party.

<...>

A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would
allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without the burdens of going through a financial institution.
Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main
benefits are lost if a trusted party is still required
[...]

CSW is acting as that trusted third party that Satoshi fought hard to render it as irrelevant.

Listen to Satoshi's words and ignore any third party trying to take over Bitcoin. It won't happen. And it won't happen as it's technically impossible
4327  Other / Meta / Re: 21 Million Proposal on: March 01, 2020, 05:15:32 PM
I doubt there will be other ranks. That discussion was taken over and over for years, in various topics.

Most likely, when the transition to the new forum will take course, the ranks and the current rules will remain the same. The new software will bring new features, technological improvements, but I don't think there will be changes regarding ranks, merits & trust systems or a limitation of the users number.
4328  Other / Meta / Re: 21 Million Proposal on: February 29, 2020, 07:24:48 AM
The point is, BitcoinTalk should have its cap on 21 million registered users

Perhaps also the number of topics should be capped at 21 millions? : )))))

Latest edit (February 29th, 2020): I updated the description of The Flat Earth Believers, after the recent tragedy from February 26th, 2020:

5. Flat Earth Believers - an inoffensive gang of people with a bizarre belief. They worst way they can harm you is by negative trust; if you don't care about that, you may try to have a beef with them. Edit: as of February 26, 2020, notbatman - the Supreme Leader of this gang - closed the gates of his Church, without any explanation, leaving the believers lost under the (flat?) Sun. The terrible news were brought by suchmoon: "Unfortunately Bitcointalk's most famous flatearther locked his thread after merely ~800 pages without conclusively proving whether the Earth is flat or not". After almost 5 years of hard, scientific debates, everything appears to be lost. Not entirelly though, thanks to suchmoon, which although declined his competences on this delicate matter, he generously offered a shelter for these poor people who lost their leader, but hopefully, not their faith. Thus, with his help, maybe the remains of what was once a prosperous gang, will raise again!

Maybe this post will also help some of these believers to find their path to the new shelter, in case they missed suchmoon's announcement.
4330  Other / Off-topic / Re: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE: Flat Earth on: February 29, 2020, 04:56:07 AM
Yes, trying to provide a safe space for flatearthers. As long as they can put "earth" into their drivel they can post it here and get ridiculed just like they did in the original thread.

But the gang is probably dead, I mean without notbatman it's just not the same.

You are a great and kind person, suchmoon, for providing shelter to these people which, otherwise, would have been lost. Not to mention they also remained without their Supreme Leader, without a compass, to say so.

I hope they will manage to reorganize themselves as a gang here Smiley
4331  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ree @hacker1001101001 ICO bump account on: February 28, 2020, 02:33:12 PM
Anyways, you still licking the pussy after such an shameful act by Lauda even after my multiple apologies to her, make you an totally unethical and an untrustworthy person overall.

It's advisable to try this approach instead: "The Queen of Cats guides us. The Queen of Cats teaches us. The Queen of Cats protects us. In your light we thrive. In your mercy we are sheltered. In your wisdom we are humbled. We live only to serve. Our lives are yours.".
4332  Other / Off-topic / Re: You may win 1 (one!!!!) whole merit if you guess cryptohunter's new username on: February 28, 2020, 02:21:06 PM
The attempts to point the bloodhounds into CH's direction (and away form the one whom I suspect) seem quite calculated, in fact.

Do you think the real legend cryptohunter would let it slide if some impersonator was running around here?

Oh well, what about that:

Oh and one more thing: truth or dare never said (as far as I know) he is not CH / TOAA. However, even if he said or not, I observed something interesting, to say the least: he tends to quote full OPs / full replies, as TOAA used to.

I'm sure you'll find a great many more similarities if you pay attention. The question is are they deliberate or merely a sloppy disguise.

Would the real CH allow such act of lèse majesté  Huh

This has been resolved weeks ago Smiley

Was it? Smiley The truth is out there.
4333  Other / Meta / Re: Self-made Legendary Observer - another Legendary-krogothmanhattan, Congrats! on: February 28, 2020, 02:03:43 PM
Oh I understand. Sorry, I thought something else. My bad.
4334  Other / Meta / Re: Self-made Legendary Observer - another Legendary-krogothmanhattan, Congrats! on: February 28, 2020, 12:55:40 PM
I think mu_enrico is considered Legendary as he already obtained the necessary merits for being Legendary, thus it is only a matter of time until he'll receive the rank. Meaning to reach also the required activity.
4335  Local / Română (Romanian) / Re: Guvernul vine! ANAF si DIICOT ii urmaresc pe traderi on: February 28, 2020, 09:06:59 AM
"Vanatoarea" a inceput deja...inca de anul trecut. Dar nu chiar "la vedere". Citeste ce am scris in OP Smiley

Pe 25 mai e termenul oficial la care se lanseaza aceasta vanatoare. Va fi interesant de urmarit ce se va intampla.
4336  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The call for Julian Assange || The WikiLeaks Manifesto - We all should read it on: February 28, 2020, 09:05:01 AM
I was not aware of the other thread. And, anyway, the subjects are different. This one is a call for helping Julian, while JollyGood's is a debate about Julian's current situation, when he is behind bars until the extradition trial is over.

I planned my topic for months. It's writing, close to JollyGood's is just a coincidence.

Coming back to the OP, I don't think "people's voice" will change anything. Nor mass media, unfortunately. Look at the petition for freeing Ross Ulbricht, which was signed already by 250.000 people. This petition was supposed to convince Trump to pardon Ross, as the Justice turned its back to him. So what happened, although a quarter of a million of people asked the president to pardon the man? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
4337  Other / Off-topic / Re: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE: Flat Earth on: February 28, 2020, 06:20:26 AM
Unfortunately Bitcointalk's most famous flatearther locked his thread after merely ~800 pages without conclusively proving whether the Earth is flat or not. We can continue this extremely important discussion here.

Oh no! Did this gang die too? Something wrong is going around lately with the gangs. They disappear one after another. After Flat Earth believers becoming defunct, I heard also that The Objective Standards Guild is almost disabled! We must protect the gangs!

Suchmoon, with this thread are you taking over the remains of the Flat Earth believers? Just asking, to know if I move this band to the Defunct section of the Gangs of BitcoinTalk topic Smiley

Well, I saw that REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE thing and erroneously thought either
someones’s kb is broken or I’d be reading about nutilduuuuuuuh, mob justice and clown cars.....

Oh yeah.....earth.

I kindly suggest to bow down in front of The Clowns Cartel. They are very strong! It was needed just 2-3 of them to dismantle an entire gang here Smiley
4338  Other / Meta / Re: Scrap the trolling rule? on: February 27, 2020, 08:13:55 PM
I don't think it's trolling, but something way worst. This guy attacked a dead man! A dead man who can't defend himself! That's a desecration act!

Similar to the barbars which plundered dead bodies for their jewlery!

There are not enough enough words for describing such things. It's against any religion!

Fighting with dead people! Seriously?!?!?!

And about what Mitchell said. And also LoyceV:

The problem with CH-like trolls is of course there's no point arguing with them, it quickly goes off-topic, and then there's the famous quote about arguing with stupid people.

Oh and one more thing: truth or dare never said (as far as I know) he is not CH / TOAA. However, even if he said or not, I observed something interesting, to say the least: he tends to quote full OPs / full replies, as TOAA used to.

Maybe a coincidence, as The-Devil was saying. Maybe not.

Some of my posts coincide with an article by coincidence.

Edit: oh and a quick tip for suchmoon - man (ma'am ?), if I am allowed: please, please, don't involve your children in such discussions, not even for fun. They are sacred! I am also a father of a young one, only 8 months old, and I know what means being a parent. Children are our most precious aspects in this life, we must cherish them. As they will cherish us too, after years. They are angels!
4339  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The call for Julian Assange || The WikiLeaks Manifesto - We all should read it on: February 27, 2020, 07:22:05 PM
The US does as it pleases, and everyone else is expected to toe the line. That 2004 case is revealing, but here in the UK we have one from just a few months ago: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Harry_Dunn
<...>

Your example is outstanding! For 2 reasons:

1. This case looks like a copycat to what happened in Romania: an innocent murdered by an US official; the official trial in the country where he / she commited the crime is not allowed; the official goes back to US. A small difference though, at least so far: in your example, the criminal's trial is not over yet. But most likely, she will be free. Why? Because she is the wife of an US official working for the Airforce, because she was a CIA operative, but, most important, for this (quoted from your second link):

Quote
A statement from the US State Department said: "At the time the accident occurred, and for the duration of her stay in the UK, the US citizen driver in this case had immunity from criminal jurisdiction.

Basically, they already set her free!

2. I don't know if you noticed, but in your first link is stated the following:

Quote
On 23 February 2020, the Dunn family urged the UK government to refuse the extradition request of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange which was made by the US government until they returned Anne Sacoolas back to the UK. They accused the US government of hypocrisy and said that the US had launched an attack on the Special Relationship between both countries.

So the second reason for which your example is outstanding is because this case is connected to the OP, to Assange!!! What were the odds?! Did you notice that in the link?
4340  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [FREE PRIVATE GIVEAWAY] Bitcoin keychain on: February 27, 2020, 04:57:09 PM
Lol. Now I feel ridiculous Smiley)))

Of course, a keychain! And of course I know what it is!

For some weird reason though, I thought it is something related to Blockchain. But no, it's just a simple keychain Smiley

Obviously, you can laugh about me now.
