4322  Other / Meta / Re: "PrіmeCоreICО Dashboard" Spam flooded the forum. Bots... again. on: July 14, 2018, 06:17:43 AM
I try to report every day. When I have some free time on my mobile I always go trough the Patrol page.
I need only one tool.
Report button in the search results, it's gonna be much easier. I have suggested this many times before.
Same as the report history it can be unlock only after reaching certain amount of good reports.
Maybe some other "tools" can be accessible too, like multiple reports with one click. /a tick select option for every post/.
I'm willing to dedicate some of my time to fight with the spammers as I'm doing it already. I'm not looking for rewards.
4323  Other / Meta / "PrіmeCоreICО Dashboard" Spam flooded the forum. Bots... again. on: July 13, 2018, 10:16:35 PM
Yesterday I found this spam post /quoted below/ while searching for homographs.
Started reported around 20 cases, then I asked LoyceV to list all he can find.
We listed more than 50 account with total of ~ 400 posts.
The Mods has done their job deleting and banning them.

Now, today a new wave of this spam is flooding the forum again.

Looks like all the posts are the same, but they are not:
1. Every ico.primecore link for each post is different.
2. The hompgraph pattern is different / they change  letters like "a"  in some words but not all and on random basis so every post is "unique" / in other words, if you copy part of the text and search for it, you will get just one or two results max.

How this can be stopped?? It is clearly a bot activity.

4325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Full Node and Lightning Node bandwidth question. on: July 13, 2018, 10:45:14 AM
I'm planning to run two nodes sometime soon, but I have to decide which solution is better.
To build a physical machine home or get a VPS.
And here comes the question about the Internet bandwidth.
I have a shitty ADSL line with no more than 7Mbit connection, in the best cases.

What is the real bandwidth required for the Full node and same question for the LN node, does the number of open channels affect the bandwidth.

Good morning Krogo.

It's summer people / at least in Europe/ so guess what, the MS a.k.a Merit sources are sunbathing somewhere on the beach with a fresh, cold cocktail and giving 0 fucks for all the complaints here. Well, I am not a MS but planning to  do the same this weekend and suggest you do it too /if it's summer around you of course/.
Just take a break from all this merit drama and enjoy the life for a bit.
4328  Other / Meta / Re: Require a small amount of merit to become a Junior Member on: July 12, 2018, 08:14:57 PM
3. Newbies and probably Jr. Members too should no longer be able to bump threads. They can post, but the thread won't move to the top.
This can be applied only on the problematic sections - the ones we already have the 12 hours rule.
4329  Other / Meta / Re: Can we stop polls being made in certain parts of the forum? on: July 12, 2018, 12:21:34 PM
Can a user delete a poll if he posted it by mistake? Couldn't find any option to remove it.
Already asked here but got no answer :
~ I made a mistake some time ago and added a poll to a wrong thread. Couldn't delete it at all.
4330  Other / Meta / Re: Require a small amount of merit to become a Junior Member on: July 12, 2018, 11:56:40 AM
It has been discussed earlier one or two times*, but since the situation has changed the last few months, it OK to open the subject once again.

Most of the spammers and bots has advanced to Jr. members. Bots are still spamming with meaningless posts all the time. Thanks to LoyceV and the Mods, we have reported just yesterday more than 50 accounts related to the РrіmeCorеICO spam case.

Cases like this pop-up every week.

Thank you Krogo, Got your PM.
Let's try again. Maybe I'll have a piece of Bill Gator's luck and win 2 times in a row today...

That's a lot of work LoyceV, well done. Maybe it's time for you to become a Global Moderator? Smiley

Posting these spammers name here one by one just to make any moderator notice it is pretty difficult I guess, if you became a Moderator, you will just punish these spammers directly using your account.

Besides form being a Merit Source, I'm pretty sure that you can fulfil your full responsibility as a moderator. Your hard working should somehow be rewarded.

@theymos, Since two Global moderator became inactive, maybe we should make someone take their place as a successor?

I support the idea LoyceV to be a mod, same as Welsh I see no better candidates for such position.

@LoyceV, the ones you send me yesterday seems banned already. I was about to report them but the job was finished before i got my hand on.

I'll give you some ideas for search as I find many variations with homograph attacks like those.

I like the concept of this project!
Wondrous design, а very promising plan, apperceptive approach.

Seems very nice.
Impeccably design, а very excellent approach, witting website.

This is a very good idea with opportunity. Percipient approach, faultless results, а very detailed and profitable website!

I like your business! Mindful logo, impeccable vision, а very excellent plan!

I am check in white paper on your idea, It is actually good! Wondrous activity, cognizant activity, а very promising project!

I have written a query in telegram, waiting for your answer. Conversant results, а very promising results, unblemished logo.

Good morning, guys. It's really interesting business. In right mind design, а very excellent approach!

I wish you advance. Cognizant project, а very excellent business, outstanding idea.

Such idea are getting prosperous!
Wise logo, seamless vision, а very detailed and profitable activity!

I can list more if you have the time to play with the phrases or keywords like "Cognizant","apperceptive" etc.   Smiley
4333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is there an operating system that syncs Bitcoin core the fastest? on: July 12, 2018, 06:53:09 AM
Just wondering, why on DVD? Isn't it easier /faster/ to put the ISO on a USB instead.
Back in the day there was one option called WUBI Windows-based Ubuntu Installer or something, you could install Ubuntu trough windows installer, it does everything for you and makes it a dual boot machine, you can uninstall it pretty easy too, but I think this option was discontinued after the Natty Narwhal version that came with Unity instead of GNOME as a default shell.
4334  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [DAILY FREE RAFFLE] 59th JUST BECAUSE I AM STILL IN A GOOD MOOD BITCOIN COIN on: July 12, 2018, 06:18:18 AM
Woo hoo, Thanks!! Building a collection now Wink
Krogo, I'll pm you the details later today.
4335  Other / Meta / Re: Can we stop polls being made in certain parts of the forum? on: July 11, 2018, 08:58:49 PM
I guess part of the problem is that you cannot delete a poll if you want. I made a mistake some time ago and added a poll to a wrong thread. Couldn't delete it at all.
4336  Other / Meta / Re: Why the trust is not shown in all sections. on: July 11, 2018, 12:30:17 PM
You may say that the trust is irrelevant for some section where no trading is involved but still, some of the tags are not for "trading" related issues but also for different many different other reasons.
those other feedbacks left for non-trading related issues are unintended use of trust
theymos added trust system to the marketplace sections, so people can build their own trust network
there was no other intentions than for leaving feedbacks after good/bad trades
but since there are no rules set in stone, DT members start using it for other things

Yeah I know that, but since Trust is already mutated from it's main purpose in more wide covering areas like the merit abuse, alt-accounts, spam & shitposting, and nothing was done to prevent it from happening,  I was thinking that one option like I suggested can be only a benefit for those people reporting posts.
