4321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: June 18, 2016, 10:53:19 PM
As a person who has overcome several addictions my best advice is to surround yourself with people that also do not want to do the addiction you're trying to avoid.
This can be groups focused on overcoming addiction or it can be online groups discussing overcoming addiction and of course, it really all does boil down to simply agreeing not to do it and not doing it.

Is gambling included to that "several addictions"? I think not. Gambling is something that is common and accepted by the society unless the gambler himself has lost control. Even if you are surrounded by people who had never even held a card, a poker chip, etc., and they see you gambling, they will do nothing. They will just accept the fact that you're gambling. Gambling isn't like doing drugs. If someone sees you doing drugs, they will automatically look down on you and/or report you (in some cases).

i believe that although gambling addiction is so much different from other forms of addiction but still there are many similarities between them and in order to give up gambling or staying away from it you can choose the same path that you choose for other forms of addiction to stay away or give them up. the core of the problem is somewhat similar.

And if you can't do it by yourself, there is no shame in asking help from people around you or professionals that handle rehabilitation. It is better to ask and get help than dealing it alone and not being cured. There is always someone who will be willing to help you deal with your gambling addiction, all you need is ask.
4322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: June 18, 2016, 01:14:10 PM
With big bankroll, you can earn much money with gambling. So you can just use martingale strategy and you can always win in the end because you have big bankroll.
Even you have unlimited bankroll you can still lose in gambling.. its more red result than green result.. because house is always win and better to play other games and use your martingale strategy like sports betting to make a profit..
i think winning is not depending on the money we have i think it depend on the day and one luck. if you are lucky on a particular day you can certainly make money in gambling. but if you are not lucky then you cannot earn money in gambling even though you have a lot of money.

If your playing sport betting, then you can strategize to make money. No pure luck is needed, just a little bit of hard work and familiarity of the sports. But if you play dice, certainly, house edge will eat your money. This games need a good luck and nothing else. So if you want to make money, go to sports.

tommorow it will be a crazy night , after the draw in games 3-3 the final of finals will be difficult for both .
in the 2 last games Lebron james scored +40 pts , and Cavaliers on fire .
i think Cavaliers will be the winner of the final ! Cheesy

It is hard to tell which team will win the finals. Both teams are good and very competitive. I am sure neither of them will go down easily. GSW is a little disadvantaged this year because of the injured players but they have the home court advantage. Kerr should device a plan to cover the spot bogut left. If they don't, lebron and the cavaliers will eat their inside defense.
4324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: June 18, 2016, 12:51:25 PM
There is chance to win a lot money so players get started to have fun there but big winning change their way to gamble, no doubt any unexpected win can make them addicted even most of people lost very quickly right after the winning and than they keep trying to chase their loses and this thing make them get addictive.
Yes exactly when they chase their losses they start loosing more and more.
Once they are in profit with their wins, they start to think that its the time to make profit, while actually is the time to leave gambling and quit.

sadly that is true, chasing losses is the worst thing that anybody can do when gambling. i have been doing it for a long time before i quit it. when you lose you get frustrated and want to win it so you try harder and harder to win but it never works that way, so you only lose more.

I had a bad experience, when chasing losses. I always bet on anything and without analyzing. because I really want to recover my losses. but in the end it always ends with a loss. but at the moment I do not ever try to recover the defeat, I only bet when there are interesting games, such as Euro 2016, taking some interesting games and make a high profit.

That is the fastest way to lose, betting without analyzing. Just like in dice, there is no analyzing needed, just bet and click. In sports betting, you should analyze the stats and make bets accordingly. You can make good money that way, specially when you want to win back your losses.
4325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: June 18, 2016, 12:46:53 AM
If I was really rich I would gamble for sure because than you can enjoy yourself and the money you are losing does not really mind right ?
I think because of that it should be no problem.
Well, I guess if you gamble or not it will not affect your life, because you already have a lot of money. so maybe you're just going to waste time when gambling, and playing just for fun

Yes this is right. ordinary persons like us can play in online and we play just small bet but The Rich people will not show that much interest in online gambling they most like off line gambling means they will play in real casino's yes if i am rich i will play but not online i will play in real casino's.

Maybe once in a while you can gamble on a casino. But doing it regularly like a habit, I think it is not a good idea. Many rich people already got poor because of gambling addiction. Don't add to the statistics anymore. You will be better of doing sports and trading or investing than wasting time on gambling.

Haha good CAVS won the game and they shut the mouth of boastful Draymond Green. All of critisicm that James received after Game 4, he just remain silent.

As an answer, he gave a big 82 big points for couple of games. Nice Cavs. Hope you got the champ so boastful GSW fans will really be buttheart. Even CAVS loss it's alright for most of the fans because they can easily accept it unlike for GSW fans.

I just hope lebron can maintain his montrous performance on the last game. He will really need to.work double time.because it is the warriors turf and they will be playing against the crowd. Lebron will have my respect if he can carry this team to the championship.
4327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: June 17, 2016, 03:05:42 PM
hello everyone.
i want to know what do you think about gambling bitcoin.. Does Beneficial or more losses?
Share your story here guys!  Grin Grin Grin
I do not think that gambling is wrong but it is not smart that when you now that loose every time that you keep playing and hoping that you are going to win the jackpot. But if they want to keep gambling tat is there problem.

There is a false hope in gambling just like in lottery. The illusion of getting rich instantly if you win a jackpot in gambling pulls people into it. But what they don't recognize is that, they are already wasting a lot of money betting to win a jackpot.
4328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016 NBA Finals on: June 17, 2016, 03:00:42 PM
Congrats to Cavaliers. There's a few choice words I can use on the refs as well, but best to hold it in this state. I just hope Steph Curry uses this as motivation for next game, and maybe the refs won't give him fouls by breathing next to Cavaliers players.

It was obvious refs will be pulling it a little for Cavs since like I said everyone wanted 7th game to happen including NBA officials  Grin  In any case that Cavs ML bet for 6th game was really easy money. As for 7th game truly have no idea who will prevail now, might aswell throw a coin

Fans will always blame the refs when their team lost. Someone said, if they did not call it then they did not saw it. If they call it, then its final. Its part of the game and move on. Good players don't get disappointed or affected by miscalls. Gsw need to adjust on cavs switch mismatching curry to lebron. And igoudala needs to recover fast so he can help on defending lebron.
4329  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: June 17, 2016, 06:20:08 AM
I don't know anybody who did it personaly, but i think that people who working like this, i mean full time on bitcoin, they know and understand what and how to do to make money for living.

People who has a day job usually makes the bitcoin world as their side line. They wanted to have multiple sources of income. People who are doing bitcoin in full time are mostly people who are people who basically can't get a job for some reasons. Although not everyone who's full time on bitcoin are uneducated, there are some people that chose to make Bitcoin as their day job. Maybe because they are earning much more in bitcoins and they want to focus on it, and they just see their previous day job as a disturbance to their bitcoin journey.

Those people who are already on trading like forex and stocks trading can easily adopt on bitcoin. They can make bitcoin their primary source of income because they already know the ins and outs of trading. They can make a lot of profit from bitcoin whether the price is going down or up. But those who have an office jobs will have a harder time switching from office to bitcoin. They are used to having a fixed income and the fluctuating price of bitcoin discourages them.

Gambling sux!
Why you talk like that , maybe you lost your money on gambling.
We at least have lost in gambling , but you can learn from your past. About profit you make.
And not to be greedy , if you don't want to lose your money.. It's all about planning..

Planning, strategy will never help you in winning, when it comes to gambling its all about luck, and if you win on regular basis then you think that you can win more and you get addicted to it.

Planning and strategy works if you play on the right gambling site. If you are playing dice and luck games, then you need luck to win. And most of the time, in this type of gambling, you lose more than you win. But if you bet on sports gambling, then you can plan and strategize on right bet to make you win.
4331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: June 17, 2016, 06:11:50 AM
If im rich man, i will spend my time which can make me happy and playing in gambling i think it was included in my enjoyable time because if i lose i do not care because im rich and this is my happiness

Rich people won't mind even if they loose as it will not make any difference to their financial status, and they will continue to gamble even if they are loosing.

Yeah, they will not mind until they loose everything. Then they will cry because they have burn all their wealth on something that has no value at all. You should mind if you are loosing money because it is the one thing that makes your life comfortable. Without it, it will all be hard labor and nothingness again. Being rich does not mean you have infinite money, it just means you have more than others. You can loose it all if you gamble it all.
4332  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: June 17, 2016, 06:07:28 AM
I do not have a plan rich with bitcoin, because I was still new and not too many know about how to get a good bitcoin. but certainly I would be rich with bitcoin, after I had the experience that much about bitcoin.

I plan to save up my signature campaign earnings. Not being much, they are just a simple hobby. Amassing a fortune starting with the silver coins. Just wait until bitcoin goes sky high.

It cannot make you rich right away but it can get you somewhere. If you save all your earnings from signature campaign and the price gets really high, like what is happening right now, then you can have a starting capital. You can invest that capital into something or use it to start your own business. If all goes well, then maybe you can be rich someday.
4333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: June 17, 2016, 05:49:55 AM
Bringing to psychiatrist a person that has been addicted to gambling here in our country is not much suggested. He just need to learn how to discipline himself. I agree that it is really hard to stay away from gambling once you've started addicted to it but the door is always widely open to get out.

It has a great effect on a person going to as psychiatrist. Psychiatrist treat people with mental illness. If you go there and people see you, they will think that you have gone lunatic. You should go to a Psychologist to help you cope up with your gambling addiction. With a professional help, support of people around you and a determination get out of gambling, i am sure you can be successful in getting away from it.
4334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016 NBA Finals on: June 17, 2016, 05:37:36 AM
Cavs did win fair and square, however I don't like that wrong foul called on Curry because he didn't force a contact with James. It's quite disappointing, and NBA is indeed rigged. Angry

Even if he did not fouled out, it would not help them anyway. It is clear in a few plays before he fouled out. He has 5 fouls and he is becoming a defensive liability. Fouling out could be a good thing for him because he can rest early and prepare for game 7. Game 7 will be brutal and expect blood. It will be all-in and an exciting game to watch.
4335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016 NBA Finals on: June 17, 2016, 03:51:10 AM
CAVS win game 6 and forced a game 7. Nice monster game for lebron having 41 points again. They really did a good job offensively and defensively. Curry is bad trip being fouled out. Good luck Cavs on game 7.
4336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: June 17, 2016, 03:22:47 AM
I would still gamble without any doubts because gambling is very nice to do and its also that if you are rich why would you not take the chance of making some money and fun.

if you are rich, why do have to get some money? a lot of fun if you're rich, do not have to do with gambling. Let's take a look at out a lot more fun than gambling.

I agree with you, you're rich why should you gamble if there's a risk. Better to spend your money for your personal interest like having party with your friends, party hard like tomorrow will never come.

if you will just burn your money on partying hard, then there is no difference in burning it on gambling. Continue doing any of the two and you will end up losing all your money. If you can't preserve your money, better have an investment that can earn you passively so you can do whatever you want and still earn money that can keep you rich until your old age.
4337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: June 17, 2016, 03:20:28 AM
Gambling makes you win for your first 2nd third try then you get excited started to bet higher amounts you lose in the first try
but still you still believe that in the next try you can win and then what? you lose again u raise your bet again to higher amount
and still believe. then suddenly you just realize that you are loosing to much amount of btc then this is when tairs starts falling  Undecided
Yes basically,  Gambling casinos are all about business they are made to earn money but not to make you rich.. it plays with your psychology as when you win in a continous row( big wins) then be sure you are ready to get destroyed in second in future as it makes you damn addictive to win more and force you to recover when you lose and so nothing will be left at last !

Of course, there will be no surviving casino if they just give away money to gamblers. They don't have to rig the game but since they have a house edge in the very beginning, it gives them more chance to win. If you have a winning streak, that just means you are lucky but soon enough, house edge will kick in and you will start to lose.
4338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016 NBA Finals on: June 17, 2016, 03:08:18 AM
Momentum has definitely swung in favor of the Cavs. I won't count out the Warriors just yet because there's still a full quarter ahead of us. So much basketball left for them to make a comeback, which they have done time and again. But if the Cavs just hang in there and keep hustling, and if K.Love can really get it going, the Cavs are poised to take it back to GS for one last game.

10-0 run by the warriors to end the third quarter. Cavs lead is down to 9 entering the fourth quarter. This will be another close game in the end if the Cavs let the warriors scores, and that is Curry still sitting on the bench. When he enters in the courts, it will be harder to guard the outside shooters. Hope Cavs find ways to maintain their lead up to the final seconds.
4339  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: June 16, 2016, 09:51:40 PM
One of the problems with saving your money with a bank is that the small amount of interest you get from them right now does not out pace inflation so you will be losing money the longer you money is in the bank just because of inflation alone.
You would be losing even more money if you account in the opportunity cost of the investments you could have made with the money while it is in the bank.

this week there was a complete news item about people removing a large percentage of their savings to use that money for investment purposes. the low interest rates are a reason for that, but also the fact that some backs even consider to charge negative rates on savings accounts. that to me doesn't make any sense. how much more want banks to squeeze out people? it's just insane.

Any link on this news? So we can check the authenticity of this news. I do not think banks will make that move, charging negative interest. Who will put their money on a bank that will charge you negative interest? That is just insane. You don't money in the bank to lose it, you put it there for safe keeping.
4340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: June 16, 2016, 03:24:08 PM
Just don't gamble. The odds are NEVER EVER NEVER in your favor.

I guess you are talking about dice sites or any games that have provably fair, because is sports betting, the odds are good and have many option to bet and i think quit from gambling on sports betting is more harder on dice sites.

Because in sports gambling you can predict the outcome of the game unlike in dice sites where you just earn only at the beginning of your game but eventually will lose at the end. But sports-betting is still risky because sometimes when you bet huge amount for the champion, the underdog wins and that is very disappointing to happen.

That does not happen all the time. If you have good stats and good analysis of it, most of the time you can make good predictions and can win on sports gambling. So, if you can't really quit on gambling, then focus on gambling that can really make good profit if done properly. And stay away from dice, because those games don't make good money.
