4361  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Withdraw from Arcbit on: April 22, 2019, 11:20:26 PM
when i go to back it up it say acrobat cannot open files
That doesn't answer my question...

When you created the arcbit wallet, you would have been given 12 words (aka "seed mnemonic") to write down. Do you have those 12 words? Huh
4362  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium now has full Segwit support on: April 22, 2019, 10:37:56 PM
I can click the "receive" button and then choose the "address type". You should get 3 options in the dropdown...

Legacy (P2PKH)
SegWit compatible (P2SH)
SegWit native (Bech32)

Is your account from a Mycelium generated HD seed? Or was it imported individual private keys?
4363  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum verification on: April 22, 2019, 10:05:26 PM
Also, as someone pointed out in another thread... The key fingerprint needs to be ThomasV's... And should show as:

6694 D8DE 7BE8 EE56 31BE  D950 2BD5 824B 7F94 70E6
Or
2BD5 824B 7F94 70E6
Or
7F94 70E6

That indicates that you have imported the correct public key belonging to ThomasV
4364  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why Electrum has 20 receiving addresses and 6 change addresses? on: April 22, 2019, 09:51:57 PM
still had 29 receiving addresses/6 change addresses.
Maybe try the menu option "wallet -> addresses -> filter" and check that both boxes are set to "all"... Its possible that the filter is preventing all your unused addresses from being shown.

4365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin core, can’t send my BTC (not in memory pool) on: April 22, 2019, 11:19:20 AM
Without knowing ALL the addresses, i can't know for certain if the whole 8.9 BTC was burned... But i can tell you that the balances of those 5 addresses that you listed definitely were.

I'm honestly not sure why these transactions are not showing in your wallet...
I would have thought that it would show the transactions... As the original 0.00001000 UTXOs were being spent.

However, it's possible that because the were used in a null transaction that Bitcoin Core isn't handling them properly.

Have you tried a "reindex" or "rescan"? Huh
4366  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Unable to get db to load on: April 22, 2019, 11:08:14 AM
It honestly sounds like Bitcoin Core isn't installed correctly...

Do you have the exact commands you used to attempt to setup the PPA and install bitcoin-qt and/or bitcoind? Huh

Also, are you attempting to run the GUI or just bitcoind?
4367  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Unable to get db to load on: April 22, 2019, 04:34:23 AM
The should be a debug.log file in your ~/.bitcoin directory. Is there anything obvious in there that indicates why Bitcoin Core isn't working? Or is it not even getting that far?

If you can find the debug.log, you can always post the contents of it here (use pastebin.com and then post the generated pastebin.com URL), so we can check the debug output.
4368  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Withdraw from Arcbit on: April 21, 2019, 11:53:49 PM
Do you have a 12 or 24 word "recovery phrase" (aka "seed mnemonic")? Huh
4369  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Yet another Yobit topic because I'm a hypocrite] Yobit shitposting participants on: April 21, 2019, 11:50:55 PM
That PPD data is frightening... Shocked Shocked Shocked

I honestly had not been expecting it to be so bad... Apparently I am waaaaaayyyyyy too optimistic regarding the outcome of offering "free money" to anyone with a keyboard. Undecided

I feel for the moderators... I have a feeling their workload is about to get ridiculous.

Bitcoin wouldn't be so well known all over the world if there were no bounty hunters.
I think Bitcoin would have been just fine... The endless stream of (scam) Shitcoins and ICOs may not have faired so well tho... Roll Eyes
4370  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Understanding Electrum on: April 21, 2019, 11:37:55 PM
To be honest, none of the other coin networks really have issues with full blocks or fee "spikes"... aside from say ETH.

Having said that you can see the current mempool stats (pending transactions + associated fees) for BTC, BCH, BSV, LTC and Dash here: https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue

To see the breakdowns of the fees being used, hover the mouse over a given point in the graph... Right hand edge of the graph is most current values.
4371  Economy / Reputation / Re: Red-Tag Without any Logical reason. on: April 21, 2019, 10:38:14 PM
Trust is completely subjective and, for better or worse, not moderated... People are free to "trust" you (or not) based on pretty much anything they like... Your username, your actions, how much you post, account sales, what day of the week it is... Undecided

He doesn't trust yobit, you are advertising yobit, ergo he doesn't trust you. Just because you don't consider "yobit is a scam" to be a logical reason, doesn't mean they don't.

In any case, neither of those users is on DT as far as I can tell... Their feedback is not shown by default, and doesn't affect your "score".

I won't care about them, i already put a red-tag on them as they did to me and it is allright! we still have the smile upon our faces.
IMO, leaving retaliatory feedback is probably more "trust abuse" than what these users have done...
4372  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Yet another Yobit topic because I'm a hypocrite] Yobit shitposting participants on: April 21, 2019, 10:00:47 PM
Personally, I can't wait for the avalanche of "yobit is teh scammz!!!!1!!!" threads when participants get (silently) removed by the "very conscientious Yobit campaign management" for spamming/shitposting/alt abusing etc and they don't get paid their 0.00012000 btc per post. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

In other news... @suchmoon, Does your list filter for forum rank? I think I spotted a couple of "member" accounts... And I thought the campaign was limited to ≥Sr. member? Huh
4373  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wolf0, Wolf', Wolf XX, OhGodAPet, OhGodAGirl on: April 21, 2019, 09:21:25 PM
IMO, as it stands, this is proobably more of a "reputation" thread than a "scam accusation". You might want to move it to the appropriate board.

Unless you have some specific evidence of a specific scam (or scams). You've made some claims regarding certain events, but I don't see anything that actually shows any of this. Huh

What you appear to have here is some "he said, she said" comments posted on discord. Unless I'm missing something obvious (and no, I'm not going to go trawling through some random discord server trying to piece this all together... That's your job as the "accuser")
4374  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER ALERT @MadmanAmazon on: April 21, 2019, 09:07:59 PM
Newbie + self moderated thread, selling eGift cards at "too good to be true" prices + offsite autobuy with no escrow == Pretty much a guaranteed scam.

Nevermind the multiple negative trust ratings that were already posted.

He has multiple telegram accounts. My guess is he changes them whenever he scams someone. I've linked all the evidence on imgur. You can check it out.
Your screenshots only show the telegram username as @cryptogift

Do you have any evidence linking this John and Mitch (@GiftNerd)? Huh

but this bitch needs to banned so he doesn't scam anymore people.
Scams aren't moderated... And scammers aren't banned... He has been tagged and it's on individuals to do their due diligence before trading.
4375  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Mobile Android Wallet For Ledger Nano S on: April 21, 2019, 08:51:54 PM
I think Mycelium will show both Legacy AND SegWit... (Unfortunately I'm away from home today and don't have my Ledger with me to double check). Mine is currently only setup to show the SegWit account at the moment.

So, fairly sure it'll do both... It's just that they won't show in the same "account" within Mycelium, as they use different derivation paths. This is basically the same way that Ledger Live works... Legacy and SegWit are separated.

So, while you would see the balance of both and they'd be separate balances, but Mycelium does also show a "Total Balance" that sums up all accounts.
4376  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum transaction error on: April 21, 2019, 08:09:33 PM
You'll need to use "coin control"... Use the "view -> show coins" menu option... Then click on the "coins" tab.

Then select a couple of hundred of the small value "coins" displayed, right click and select spend.

This will allow you to then consolidate all the selected coins into a single output of greater value. Repeat for as many times (selecting hundreds of small value coins) as necessary until you only have a couple of "large value" coins left.

That should enable you to then conduct one transaction that contains all your balance.

Note that EVERY transaction you create will require a fee... And as fees are based on the amount of data being included in a transaction, the consolidation transactions could get quite costly if you have a lot of inputs that are less than 1000 sats (0.00001000 btc).

I suggest you read LoyceV's very good post on output consolidation here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2848987.0
4377  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Understanding Electrum on: April 21, 2019, 07:53:44 PM
it does say 2fa up on top but I also seem to remember that I selected standard wallet in the process creation, is this even possible?
No, it isn't... The options are:
- standard wallet
- wallet with 2FA
- multi Sig
- import private keys/addresses

Refer:

You will need to make sure that you have the seed safely backed up in case of 2FA device loss... It's the only way you'll be able to recover if your 2FA app does not support backups.

As Lucius mentioned, there are costs involved with sending from a 2fa wallet... Read here: https://api.trustedcoin.com/#/electrum-help
4378  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum transaction error on: April 21, 2019, 12:36:38 PM
That's a LOT of inputs being used! Shocked Shocked Shocked  and if you're saying they add up to "small balance" then you have a LOT of dust inputs.

How many inputs is it actually using for that transaction? It should display the number in ()'s on the preview window next to where it says "Inputs"...

My rough calculations would say that number is going to be in the 1450 to 1675 range.

Were you collecting tiny faucet payouts or something? Huh
4379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Checking old wallet files... on: April 21, 2019, 12:25:39 PM

Seems legit Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Possibly the worst attempt at malware shilling I've ever seen.
4380  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Understanding Electrum on: April 21, 2019, 12:10:17 PM
my "seed" option is greyed out for some reason ..
It's either a 2FA wallet (and will say [2fa] in the title bar next to the wallet name), or you have used an imported BIP39 seed that was generated by a wallet other than Electrum when you first created the wallet.

Either of these scenarios results in Electrum generating a wallet file that does not store the 12 word seed (so the option is greyed out in the menu).
