I want to see the day a manufacturer decides to make miners in EU or US will sell lots more miners as they will be more atractive to buyers...but guess have to wait until I get used to
There already were/are manufacturers, they ended up being scammers or failing miserably due to poor business practices or just having terrible customer services. Doesn't help in the EU anyway, you have to pay VAT whether you are importing goods or buying them locally. Unless you are VAT registered. Then you can reclaim the VAT paid, and there is no VAT due on mining revenue [In the UK at least]. This isn't the reason I'm VAT registered, its just a side effect.

But now they're charging $135 (USD) for UPS shipping. Such Wow not. Wow that's the shipping price for 2 units? I wonder if it goes up for more. I can't imagine people buying them yet I'm sure they will manage to sell out again. It will go up for more, yes. The domestic market will take more of a share due to shipping when the btc price is low.

hello everybody, I've paid for 2 s4 batch 1 that received last friday. Both of them were working ok with default parameters (not overclocked yet) until yesterday night that one of them was powered down and now I'm not able to power on it again. I've tried unplug the wire, changing the wires between them, but the result continue to be that this machine doesn't work. Any suggestion please? Thanks in advance.
I had a power unit go down last weekend. Contact Yoshi at Yoshi@bitmaintech.com, or call. They are working out of Denver: Bitmain Warranty 3700 Quebec St. #100239 Denver, Colorado 80207 Tel: 844-248-6246 They will help you get your unit fixed. Thanks captjrc While you're waiting, you could try plugging in a different PSU to the controller board and to one mining board. If that seems fine, or you have a large enough PSU you could test the entire unit with it. Does sound like a PSU problem.

I want to format my sd card.Where can i find clean and reliable format ?
I'll ask bitmain to put one up and host rather than us passing round dropbox links.

Well, one thing is clear - better not to buy HW from Bitmain (and mining HA at all, btw), because firmware on that HW will be buggy (as in S4), semi-tuned and will contain not up-to-date software. And they doesn't care about it - equipment is sold already, so no need to do something. Is it called "customer support"?.. Nope.
Then why are you in the hardware subform?

Hi Dogie I have sent you a pm regarding the T1.
Sold, dispatching tomorrow

Why would they still make miners with such poor efficiency? I don't understand 1/1 w-ghash is not near competitive.
These chips will do significantly better, but manufacturers push them up to this rage because then you get 2x+ more $ for the same chip costs. If the firmware was good (and the board design allowed it), you would have the choice to run @ 1TH ~ 1KW or 600GH @ ~350W. So is the firmware good enough (and board allow it?) to run 600GH@ 350w? That would be something worth looking into. Also I don't see I don't see a price, I understand it would be hard to have a price on your reviews as they constantly change but do you happen to know what the current price is for this miner? Firmware does allow clock switching but I've only tested as low as 1TH. Don't know on price.

I'm guessing no top side heatsinks then?

Nothing.
By that I mean stop posting bitmain repeats & wrong answers/solutions. Better off not posting anything.......nothing.
Then stop spamming my threads with your repeated hate when you yourself have said there is nothing I can do.

But now they're charging $135 (USD) for UPS shipping. Such Wow not. GEEZ louise, what happened to Bitmain's free shipping model? Guess when BTC price is this low, everyone gets f@cked, even the manufacturers. Gots to skim off some profit somewhere. That's ~cost price shipping. No one makes money on shipping. You can check that by trying to send a 13kg package the other way round the world.

I'll have to give that one a try, mine is v722. Ever figure out the ssh user login and pw?
Nope

LULZ at dogies crappy wrong answers...... This bitmain job is above you dogie, you should go back to copy/pasting guides, advertising scam pools & ripping off noobs for VAT in the sales thread....... ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) This user is angry at a pool and so is flaming me... makes sense.

Dogie, with respect - I don't want to hear the same thing from you as bitmain have been telling me & everyone else here for nearly 8 weeks. I have been in contact with bitmain over this issue here & via email this entire time, warning them about this exact thing happening, but to no avail. I know you get paid to provide answers, but please don't just repeat what bitmain keep saying - it's patronizing & annoying. Also, if you are going to post answers for & on behalf of bitmain, please at least try and make sure that your answers are correct & based on information from bitmain themselves. Some of your comments are quite simply wrong, leading to misinformation & confusion to other less experienced miners. Peace ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) You can say 'with respect' all you want but it doesn't add respect to the post if there wasn't any. You're flaming me for asking Bitmain when the firmware is coming and relaying the message - what do you want me to do?

TY Dogie Are the S3's ever going to launch?
... Dogie, you have the ear of Bitmain is there any news on the S3 B10 launch other than "It's the Chinese New Year"?
I am tempted to buy a few of the 1.4T Prisma miners if the S3's don't go back on sale soon.
I'll try and find out. With BTC price @ $300 though, I wouldn't be too hopeful. B10 is up now: https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140917060843699l3bEXYxL06C0

I think that you want to speak about DHCP

So, confirmation that it is not a firmware issue, but a hardware issue - and that the upcoming firmware release, if/when it arrives, is only a workaround:
A fix is a fix isn't it? I'm not a big fan of BBs; I think there are better controllers to start off with but its the architecture their code has been made on so its would delay everything way tooo long to try and change it mid product cycle.

I'm running a newer firmware version then the screenshots above and it does actually change values, and it does achieve higher hash rates. I do believe there are enough chips to achieve 1.25TH and its just bad firmware which is failing to achieve that hash rate. We had to go through several versions just to get one that would find the modules. Unfortunately though, he doesn't seem to have been around for a while and I had to publish as it had been too long.
can you post the firmware for download? https://www.dropbox.com/s/9put760hx6saf3n/amt_a1_0827v01%20%282%29.img.bz2?dl=0Make sure you've got a copy of your original one!!!!

I'm not sure, but this could be a stratum redirect attack - it's due to Bitmain using an older security vulnerable cgminer version. Bitmain promised to update cgminer over 7 weeks ago, but have yet to do so. You should email this screen to them asking for an explanation ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) That's still being worked on, actively, being worked on.
