441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help for a beginner on: April 19, 2019, 01:39:30 PM
Hello

I ordered a new GPU MSI Gtx 1060 Gaming X 6gb and im thinking, if I start to mine with my computer, what kind of profit im looking at per day?
I already looked the site www.whattomine.com and put my price/kWh and number of GPU's on 1060 (1), and it tells me that best profit would be around 0.27$,
so is estimate value of 24 hours of mining?
One guy from youtube is seemingly making 1.6$ per day with the same card, so im a bit confused

My electricity is 0.0575eur/kWh and I live in a apartment building which can get pretty cold specially at winters -- would it be a bad idea to invest in a mining rig these days? It could warm up this flat im living in at the same time

Comp specs:
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H
CPU: Intel i5 3570k 3.4Ghz
Memory: Adata 2x4gb @1333mHz + G.Skill 2x4gb @1333 coming soon
GPU: MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 6gb
SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 250gb coming soon
HDD: 2x1Tb and 1x2Tb (4Tb total)
PSU: Corsair vx 450
If you are looking to mine something to get the profit, you should buy more graphics to get more hashing power, you have nice configuration but not for mining, but for gaming.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Should I Expect The Next Bull Run? on: April 18, 2019, 09:02:21 AM
The truth is cryptocurrency is hard to predict these days. Even when there is positive news, it may not result in the price of coins going up. I suggest you take your losses as part of investments hazard and keep hodling. Don't sell cheap, no matter what. Take a cure from Warren Buffet and how he hodled stakes in companies invested in for several years before he became what he is today
Yes market is volatile and we do not know when we could expect a bull run. Holding this time is still good until such time price in the market can recover. Expectation will gives us disappointment so for the meantime let’s wait and observe the market recovery.
It is true, many people are waiting for next recovery and they are more and more disappointed about that. We are in the longest bear market i the history. Instead of only waiting, try to change your point of view and enjoy the time of low prices.  Cool
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you guys read daily crypto news? on: April 18, 2019, 08:51:40 AM
I am reading news daily and also watching youtubers everyday. I am addicted to crypto and I have to know about evrything what happens everyday.  Grin
But, when you think about it. Good news come everyday, but it doesn´t affect the market price.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you ready to invest now? on: April 18, 2019, 08:39:08 AM
Seeing market slowly recover then it is a good sign that there could be next ATH. So, while crypto is cheap.now, Do you think that it is better to invest now? How ready are you to do it. Are you going to invest all at once or make a succeesion of investment over a period of time.

Please let me know your plans and strategy and how you think you can earn from the market.
Everyone who stayed here until now, has same opinion and plan about buying cheap and selling high. Only people who not share the same opinion left the game. They will come back again in ATH price.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your past experience will always be an added advantage on: April 15, 2019, 05:18:31 PM
It is true, especially I learned a lot in trading. After so many unsuccessful trades I know where I made mistakes, I learned how to not trade by feelings. I learned, that it is not good to be greedy, when others are greedy. And also learned do not belive masses.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance threatens to delist BitcoinSV for Craig Wright pretending to be satoshi on: April 15, 2019, 05:13:36 PM
After the fraud that is Craig Wright threatened to sue Hodlonaut, the community responded quite vigorously.  This included a threat from cz_binance that Binance will delist BitcoinSV if this faketoshi nonsense doesn't stop.

https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1116563034476957699

Is it really a good move from CZ? Should he be the one who will decide who has the truth? For me there is no diffrence between these 2 guys. Both are doing things without the consent of the community.
I also do not believe that Craig is real Satoshi, but delisting is not a move how to prove that. It shows only the power of one man - CZ.  Sad
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost coins on Liqui, anyone able to get coins out? on: April 14, 2019, 09:03:44 AM
Why didn´t you withdraw your funds before? It is around 3 months after they announced that?
But Liqui ended officially, not because they have been hacked, so I think that they will try to solve your problem and you will get your money back.
448  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: No trades without loss on: April 14, 2019, 08:58:52 AM
Trading basically is betting on something with a certain probability. Bettors/traders who have better Win Loss ratio are in profit. There are no bettors or traders without losses.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the new model of fundrising is IEO on: April 14, 2019, 08:54:20 AM
It is not about the form, no matter if it is ICO, IEO or STO. People lose their patient and they are not more interested in investing in something what only promises without delivering the real solution. So many scams made this industry dead.  Cry
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins Delisting on: April 13, 2019, 12:15:13 PM
Recently FUN and RISE delisted from Bittrex. What are the reasons that exchanges delist coins? Is there any way to know that any exchange going to delist any coin?
Low trading volume is the main factor when exchange decide to delist. Also they can delist a coin without any reason. But in most cases it is because there are not enough traders or the coin is not active in development. More coins = higher server usage = slow exchange.

452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Profitability? Best Mining Calculators? on: April 13, 2019, 12:03:51 PM
Of courseCoinCalculators.io  Cheesy
Go to cryptocompare.com there you'll find lots of coins with their own hashing algorithms, mining difficulty, power pricing, and lots of other features to help make profitability.
And by the way what is currently the most profitable altcoin for mining? It is still Grin? After a price dump I would say that is no more profitable, right?
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I'm now accumulating 15 altcoins, what do you think? on: April 12, 2019, 10:54:12 AM
Having accumulated bitcoin once it dropped under $3000 from late november until early March, I've now switched over to diversifying out with an altcoin spread. I picked up 15 altcoins last week, will continue buying for the next couple months probably.

I might add a few coins, but what do you think of my altcoin spread. Note that I already own a lot of BTC, a good amount of ETH, and a little BCH and LTC and DOGE. I don't plan on buying more of those coins.

XRP
EOS
Stellar
Binance coin
XMR
LINK
HOT
WAVES
BAT
Vechain
ADA
ONT
Tron
Zcash
ZIL

I will add to my allotments in all of those. I was also thinking about picking up some:
Tezos
OMG
Lisk
Maker
Decred
ENJ
DASH
STEEM

What do you think? I don't pay much attention to altcoins so I haven't done much research on plenty of these. Or there are coins I've known a little bit about for a while but never done dedicated research on. Just really trying to get a good diversified portfolio of altcoins for the next bull run to go along with my Bitcoin dominated coin holdings.

Sidenote:
I feel like EOS is the coin I think could gain the most out of those. I could see the next bull run taking it over 200 billion market cap (I could see xrp, eth, and eos at the next peak all getting to around the market cap bitcoin had on the last peak >250 billion). But then i just started doing research on it and saw it was designed to be centralized, and the founder even seems to reject decentralization which is pretty dumb. I mostly think its gonna go crazy cuz I see that right now it is destroying ETH in terms of usage of dapps, so i'm wondering if its gonna take the dapp lead from ETH during the next bull run.

Anyway, any thoughts or comments would be great! Thanks

It is okay, but I personally do not like these coins from the list: XRP, DASH, Steem.
Steem platform is not decentralized and open as we thought.
Ripple is not a cryptocurrency but something what can be created from nothing.
And DASH is not the best privacy coins, look for example on MimbleWimble coins -GRIN, BEAM which are pretty revolutionary among privacy coins.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Very soon we will see a new wave of market growth!!! on: April 12, 2019, 10:50:14 AM
I believe in the cryptocurrency market and believe in its huge potential. Though now and not the best times in the market. But experienced investors understand that this is only a correction of the market, which is a consequence of the significant growth of the market before!  But I think that many newcomers now need support. I wish us all patience! Soon we will see a new wave of growth, there is very little!!! For those who are quite sad reminded that " those who in 2013 and 2014 believed in the basic cryptocurrency ideas and invested very little in crypto-coins, then, a few years later, became super-rich»
Almost one year from your post and it doesn´t really seems that very soon a new cycle will happen. Many experts agreed on that new cycle could begin in late 2019. But who knows. For sure it will not be very soon.  Grin
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Profitability? Best Mining Calculators? on: April 12, 2019, 10:43:07 AM
Do not forget that by calculating your potentional profit, you will get result to the date when you calculate, but mining rewards decreasing in a time.
And thats the difference and most people who do tend to mine seeing those numbers specially for 6 months time upto 1 year, believing that they would earn exact amount without
even realizing that lots of factors along the way would mainly affect profitability (Difficulty+ Energy expense+ Maintenance).

And besides these mining-related factors, you have to keep in mind that the whole crypto market can change a lot over the course of a few months. No wonder that a lot of miners had to stop mining during this bear market. If your calculation would only show you profit with the current market prices, what happens if the whole market goes back got $3k again? It's impossible for any calculator to predict the prices.

On the other hand people are now mining because they believe that one day cryptocurrencies will grow. But I do not understand why they want to start mining in loss?

Now, when all altcoins are in 90% loss it is better to buy them, I see bigger potentional profit in buying low, selling high. Then buying expesive hardware, electritcity and so on.  Roll Eyes

457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell bounty token at a loss? on: April 11, 2019, 06:26:39 PM
I am not the only one who complains about selling earneds tokens too quickly. Simply, tokens that I sold made a good profit after my sale. Tokens that I am holding are not performing as well as I thought. So, the strategy should be half sell and half hold.  Cool
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I just SOLD my girlfriends car to buy more ETH at sale price :) on: April 11, 2019, 06:18:01 PM

update 9/dec

Many of you say i am crazy or stupid and i should be shaking right now... but you are very wrong.. in fact, I am absolutely not nervous or worried. if you read my later posts, you will find i invested my ETH on 4 altcoins, and the value in ETH (not in US$) didnt changed  much for these coins.  Anyway, i assume risks and consequences. ANd the big difference among us, is i am not a mercenary like many of you, that just followed the hype.. i am talking about them who are here for few fast bucks, .. i am different because i am for the longterm as i BELIEVE in blockchain.. and i didnt took this decision as if i was blind or stupid! I did my propper research long time ago, and strongly think crypto will be a standard in the future.. maybe not tomorrow, or next week, or month.. also not next year.. i am not in a hurry!  i think i got everything i need to live...it took most of my life to realize material things wont make me happier.. i dont need much anymore because i found i was already happy  Grin .. I am not interested about lambos, mansions,... I am more interested in a more fair world for everyone. The big fishes (venture capital, banks...) have their profits being cutted, and this makes me really happy! Our life quality will improve in the longterm.. almost everything will be public, transparent and fair...

Mark this post and come back later in 10 years: 9 dec 2028!
You said that you invested your Ethereum tokens into 4 diffrent altcoins, could you kindly tell us which 4 altcoins have you chosen and why?
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's next after "When Binance"? on: April 11, 2019, 06:15:18 PM
Binance and Coinbase are the most important exchanges due to biggest real volumes, news about listing on these 2 exchanges cause every time a big pump, around 30% in average.  Smiley
