441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I will never compare cryptocurrency to our traditional/financial institution on: October 07, 2018, 01:00:31 PM
Same. I also find comparing cryptocurrency to our traditional/financial institution since these two work in different ways. And the similarities between these two things are you can buy things with these things and convert the other one to the other.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Rating sites for confidence? on: October 06, 2018, 06:55:56 AM
I think there are speculation sites that could be really trusted and some are not should be trusted. But every speculation people make is just based on what happened before or just based on the information they were able to gather. Meaning, you trust those sites at your own risk. Doesn't mean a good speculation site will always help you earn a ton of profit. Because the market can be manipulated anytime.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP or ETH? on: October 04, 2018, 12:43:34 AM
The market is half green, with ETH and XRP on the red side on coin360.
So, I think it's time to buy the cryptos. Which one would you prefer to invest and why?

It depends on the investor. If the investor have a lot of money, it would be better if he's gonna go for ETH. But if the investor is not that rich and just started investing in cryptocurrency, it would be better if he's gonna go for XRP. Since XRP is cheaper than ETH. The investor can buy more and can be really rich in the future.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favorite coin to invest (new vote) on: October 04, 2018, 12:35:39 AM
I voted for Litecoin. But it would be better if you are going to consider all the good altcoins that are available right now in the market. Some of them might get past the top 20 coins. And I think not every coin in this list is good.
445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Imagine a world where Bitcoin will be used as a primary payment option on: October 04, 2018, 12:33:33 AM
Do you imagine this thing to happen? Everytime i think about this, I can say that being an early adopter of bitcoin is something to be proud of and something that will make you famous in the eyes of many.

If this will happen, it is not impossible for bitcoin to reach above $100,000 and an adoption from the bank might also happen. Credit cards will be offered where bitcoin or cryptocurrency were stored and be used as a payment through online shopping sounds also cool right?  Cheesy Year of 2022 looks very exciting.

I don't think that's going to be possible. If ever bitcoin is going to be used as a primary payment option, then it will only be like the fiat money. In year 2022, I think bitcoin is not going to get that far yet. It might be near $50,000 but not $100,000 or over. But if ever all banks will accept bitcoin, then it will be really good.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Questions You Ask for New Project on: October 03, 2018, 02:13:09 AM
1. What is the main objective of your project?
2. What are the exchanges you are going to involved?
3. Why is your coin important?
4. What is your product?
5. What's your prediction in the price of your coin?
447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your HODL motivation on: October 03, 2018, 02:10:32 AM
In a few months, it would be ten years since the first transaction was made on the bitcoin blockchain by Satoshi Nakamoto (whoever he, she or they are). A decade down the road, bitcoin has grown in many aspects, adoption, value, circulation. And with just a couple of bitcoin yet to be mined, we are entering a new phase. And we might only have a few of the early adopters left in the bitcoin space, some bought a couple of pizzas and some cashed out during the series of pumps we have had over the years, some also panic sold during dumps.

What motivates you to Hodl?

Hodling or more conventionally put, long-term investment has always been a part of financial and commercial investments. And people were quick to identify the potential of profits in cryptocurrency due to the high volatility. And it was accepted it as a digital asset.

Hodling in such a space which is prone to wide sudden fluctuations is easier said than done. The emotional strain. One of my biggest motivation to Hodl is recognizing that bitcoin is not a pump and dump scheme, this for me is the most important motivation to hold. And you would be less bothered by intermittent value drops and rises.

If you are into bitcoin for the product and not profit, then you would be less interested in the profits and more interested in its increased adoption and application. Then you can view it as national currencies, which have value based on what it can purchase, but bitcoin has more applications as it is built on the blockchain technology.

Some can stay away from active participation, and it is possible to combine trading and hodling.

- A trader can also be a hodler. You have to set out your priorities and set aside a portion of your capital. If you're trading the same currency, (eg bitcoin), it would help to have a seperate wallet where you store you frozen assets and those available for trade.

Of course you should have disciplined yourself and learnt how to control your emotions and whims, otherwise you can't Hodl successfully.

What do you hope for the future?

This currency still has a long way to go, and of course we all look forward to a day where bitcoin would be an accepted global currency, that can be used to make purchases both online and offline. I lean more to online, as the world is going digital.

Increased adoption would also be helpful to governments and the citizenry, especially in developing countries, like Nigeria. And we are sure to discover other applications of the blockchain technology, as the qualities of transparency and decentralizatiom would be invaluable in those states.

What's your biggest fear?

Centralization. Bitcoin was created to be an alternative to the conventional banking sector. And to give it's users freedom and control, complete control. I fear a day where we would Los that control to governments and banks.
And I don't think global regulation is imperative for mass adoption.
The system was well designed to function without any control or supervision. And it's users need not to trust any human factor but the technology, the bitcoin technology.

My motivation to hold coins is to buy myself a great gaming PC, and to invest in other cheap and good altcoins for the future as well. Right now, I am hoping that everything is going to be good in the future and cryptocurrency will continue to evolve and be acknowledge by a lot of people. My biggest fear is centralization as well. As a person who uses cryptocurrency, I don't want any form of government be involved in regulating bitcoin. It will be good that there will be no such things like taxation of cryptocurrency.
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google's new updates ban cryptocurrency mining apps on Play Store on: October 02, 2018, 06:40:02 AM
They should. I know a few people that got into those apps and they only earned nothing. I don't know what's the real objective of the owner of those apps for faking such things. Google did the right move and they really should ban those apps.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dangers for crypto on: October 02, 2018, 06:31:45 AM
People will only get in danger if they don't know how to avoid risks. Even there are a lot of risks and scams, it is our responsibility to know which is a fraud or not. The transactions may be public but it doesn't matter because you are still anonymous in the blockchain.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP can be used for real payments! on: October 02, 2018, 04:57:04 AM
Most critics of cryptocurrency always point out that the currencies cannot be used for payments in real life. Recently, XRP are now used for payments in three companies. I become optimistic on altcoins when I knew this. Share your thought on Altcoins as payments below.

Yes. This is indeed a good sign but I think in order for us to remove the doubt in people about the things in cryptocurrency, it shouldn't just be XRP alone pushing forward. Other good coins should be pushed as well in order for big companies or big business people accept cryptocurrency as a payment.
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's make more companies to accept bitcoin payment. on: October 01, 2018, 04:32:58 AM
Let's make more companies to accept bitcoin payment.

I have send email to some companies in the UK to ask them to add Bitpay as a payment option.

Let's start an Operation Bitcoin. All of us send emails to companies to ask them to accept bitcoin.  Smiley

I don't think we have to invite big organizations or companies to accept bitcoin. They will come as long as bitcoin becomes valuable. This post is in 2014 and it actually happens today in 2018. Some organizations are accepting bitcoin now as a payment.
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here is how i survive in red market on: October 01, 2018, 04:31:15 AM
What you do in bear market? what you do when your coin price down, or bounty payment is far below your expectation?
many ppl will HODL their coin until pamp, but when? when pamp? when lambo?

that's not smart way to survive in red market. this is smart way to survive in red market:
1. cash out to fiat (if your loss is huge, skip this)
2. trade your coin/scalping (if you are nub or just simply lazy reading chart everyday, skip)
3. hold coin/token which give you airdrop (if you are impatient or don't know what coin to hold, skip)
4. staking and masternode

i've tried ^this all, and for now staking is best way to get more money in red market. i have real job so trading is not suitable, i also can't just hold, that's not productive and give you nothing. by staking, you can grow your coin by doing nothing, and can give you decent profit if you stake coin with big return.

and masternode also good. not all is expensive, you can have teloscoin masternode with only $4 which give you 1,180% ROI in one month. or you can have xg masternode by 0.016 btc/around $100 and you can get 50K satoshi/$3 everyday (rough calculation). or new coin smartfox masternode with 6,309% ROI in 6 days only

>(this is only fact from MASTERNODES.ONLINE, not my recommendation)<

oh stakinglab.io and stakecube.net also have online staking and masternode services, and poslist.org for PoS coin list

could you please explain what staking and masternode further? And what kind of coin do you mostly trade? Because most of the time when the market is red, all the coins are actually red and decrease in significant price.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next bull run is coming on: October 01, 2018, 04:29:23 AM
Hello guys;

I think that another bull run is coming, bitcoin will moon then altcoins will moon after, even if SEC rejects or delays ETF this September 30th. But I expect a big sell-off before that, which will conduct the total market cap to reach its ATL this year Under 200 billion USD.

What do you think guys?

I don't think this is enough for you to speculate that another bull run is going to happen. I think you should provide more sufficient evidence on why another bull run is going to come.

455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HAS BITCOIN REALLY STOOD THE TEST OF TIME? on: September 27, 2018, 02:46:58 AM
It did for me. Even though there is a lot of negative news around it right now because of the current market situation, a lot of experts still hope that it will go further than it's peek. I don't think that "HAS BITCOIN REALLY STOOD THE TEST OF TIME?" is even a real question. We've seen some things like this years ago so we don't have to lose hope.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ripple cross $5 this year ? on: September 27, 2018, 02:43:57 AM
We should see Ripple as a for long-term investment coin. It has a good background and development behind it that is why it is ranked as one of the top coins today. But Ripple hitting $5 I think is too much. I must assume it could get up to $3.5 because thinking that it would hit $5 is too optimistic.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Very Unpredictable on: September 27, 2018, 02:41:40 AM
I would suggest you avoid using mecatrox now and switch to other exchanges. Sometimes, there are bounties that actually recommend certain exchanges that are good for their coin. And also, I think you should ask for experts' advice before you proceed to transactions. Binance and KuCoin are great exchange sites by the way.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking about sell? Or invest more? on: September 26, 2018, 12:09:49 AM
With these current market situation, I think the logical move is to keep on investing since you really can't earn money from selling your coins right now since the market is down and being manipulated. I would suggest to people that they should target smaller coins.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is Adopted what happen to ilerate population(stone age people) on: September 26, 2018, 12:06:21 AM
Well, there are people in Africa who actually uses internet and probably knows how to use bitcoin. And getting to know bitcoin won't really take a long time. You just need someone to explain everything to you. Even though there is a chance that bitcoin can be used widely in the future, non digital currency will surely exist. You can't remove the real currency in the map.
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite airdrop website/media ? on: September 25, 2018, 11:33:16 AM
I am also looking for airdrop website/media before but I think it is really hard to know a legitimate one. I've seen some telegram groups where the introduce airdrop but most of the time they're just joking around or I don't know what they do about the signup thing.
