441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: i need genesis mining bitcoin contract on: November 01, 2017, 07:27:42 AM
Cloud mining schemes are rarely profitable. They will force you to agree to terms that will state they can terminate your contract at any point in time if THEY feel that it is no longer profitable to continue with the hash rate that you bought. Many have lost bitcoins on cloud mining with Genesis. You only need to google "is cloud mining profitable" to see that many people will agree with me.

Stay away from cloud mining and invest in something else.
This. Hashflare recently changed their unlimited btc contracts to one year lifetime. Impossible to ROI if something like that happens.

This are rather disappointing first results. Thanks for sharing let's see what other can achieve with it.

I found the Z270 to be fairly easy to set up compared to the H81 Pro.
But the Z270 is also a different price category.

This is one of the most annoying errors. Also try to disable and enable the GPU with the error in the device manager.
Switch the pcie lanes, try GEN1/GEN2. The H81 also has a mining specific option in the BIOS try to enable/disable it.

Nice setup  crazydane. Temperatues looking good and also the efficiency across the board. How much is that water cooling solution consuming energy wise?

The D5 PWM pump consumes maybe 12w at 1.5 gpm flow rate.  The 120mm fans on the radiator only consume 0.6W each at 1600 RPM (Noctua NF-F12 PWM).  So the water cooling add a whopping 14.4 watts to the power consumption of that rig.   I'm adding a 2nd 480 rad to get the temps down in the 30's as my ambient to coolant differential is rather high right now (about 20 degrees C where it should be more like 2 degrees).

Cool, sounds interesting. Thanks for sharing, appreciated!

447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone tried this setup? on: October 30, 2017, 09:52:31 AM
I found my rig to become rather slow with AMD and nvidia drivers installed. That’s why I stated before to better not mix cross brands.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Possible to run 2 different GPUs? on: October 29, 2017, 07:30:06 PM
yes but  your mining software has to be correct.

you need to pick software that runs amd and nvidia  or 1 for the nvidia and 1 for the amd.
This. Better stick with team red or green in one rig. If you start mixing cross manufactures you just create more possible error sources. I had 1050 Ti, 1060 and 1070 in one rig and it was working like a charm.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1050ti for Etherum Mining on: October 29, 2017, 05:41:10 PM
The efficiency (power usage/computing power) is just not that nice for the 1050 Ti. The higher end cards have the best spot when it comes to efficiency with the GTX 1070 probably being the best all-rounder.

I also keep a 1050 Ti as a backup card - it stays cool, doesn't consume much and easy to OC but nothing compared to a 1070/1080.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problem whit my graphic card on: October 29, 2017, 05:35:38 PM
For ZEC, on my RX 580's I get ~325 H/s with a 1350 MHz core clock and 1950 MHz memory clock on Windows 10.

1350 core clock, that must be very power thirsty  Grin

Is that hash rate with the Cryptonight algo? I assume so with such a number of rejected shares.
Claymore Equihash

I'm using a switch box with internetcable. I'm doing another testrun as we speak, 2 hours in and 800 accepted and Rejected 1.
I'm going to do another 12hr test, and check the results, so far its going good.

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with the AMD+Equihash combination. But 800 Accepted vs 1 Rejected share sounds just fine. As already written above less than 1 % rejected shares is fine.

I was also wondering about this especially now with the GTX 1070 Ti.

Looks like the the GTX 1070 prices went down a notch in most shops here. The GTX 1070 Ti has basically the old GTX 1070 price. I am tented to pre-order one for testing - the price range is roughly 100 bucks from the cheapest to the most expensive model across manufactures.

I think there was only a notification during the last days of PoW. Not sure if you will get the coons back. Also be careful with the Sigt wallet as it was reported that it contains malware.

Link? Because I saw "reports" about every mining software and wallet out there to contain malware

It was posted multiple times in the signatum ann forum. But a lot of drama happened over there.

Sounds like a PSu problem. I had a similar problem when once riser cable wasn?t working. Pain to detect the source of the issue. Good luck!

I've got relatively pricey electricity. Curious what people have found as the sweet spot between sols and power consumption.

For example, I'm hitting about 400sols for a gtx 1070 at a power limit of about 68 percent. Getting the extra 50-60 something sols for 30 percent extra electricity consumption is not worth it for me.

Anyone getting a better balance?

That’s exactly the PL number I am also using. Added 50 Mhz to the GPU core which results in roughly 430sols and around 3.50 sol/watt. If i go to 67% PL the rig gets unstable so 68 is the exact sweet spot.

Also google for 1st mining rig they have okish articles to at least get up to speed.
